My first time taking professor Gomez, and it was the best choice I have made. The class was a short term online summer class. I had to retake the class from LAMC and i did better than my first time taking the course. Professor Gomez, gives out different extra points. She responds to emails and gives extra time when needed. The quizzes are not time.

I was skeptical to take this course, considering it was a 5-week online summer course, but it was honestly one of my favorite classes. The professor was very sweet and always gave feedback. There are 3 tests, 5 discussion posts, around 3 assignments, and plenty of extra credit. Definitely recommend this class!

This was my first online class and I loved it. If you are motivated and focused, you will have no problem with her class. It takes a lot of focus to stay on top of the work. We had to read three chapters per week along with a discussion and quiz. It might sound like a lot but with good time management, it's a breeze. Highly recommend her class!

This is my second time taking an online class, and I have to say that shes made this experience thus far very manageable. What I like most is that she opens all assignments, grades fairly quickly, and often provides notes on your work.

Everything is clearly on the syllabus. Just do your assignments on time and read the chapters and you will do fine in this class. The quizzes and tests are based on what you read and everything is available on Canvas.

The class is provided with a lot of extra credit opportunity but luckily if you stay on top of the class material and following the professor's advice you won't have to go through a lot of the extra credit. Prof. Gomez's quizzes and tests are accordingly to the online sources. This class is very chill, don't be intimidated by the every-week discussion you will face, the professor makes sure it's a healthy environment. She is careful to read comments and gives feedback :) It was a pleasure to take this class.

Really good teacher I took CH Dev 001 over 8 weeks, it was not too challenging, and very manageable. Assignments due every Sunday, with two tests throughout the course, plus two projects. I have taken CD 001 and 007 with Professor Gomez and she has been great! She has been the best professor at West LA. She's very active and friendly. Also very helpful and will answer any questions. She doesn't give too many assignments, it's easy to pass the class as long as you do all the assignments. I HIGHLY recommend taking her class.

She was a very good professor and is very clear about what assignments are due. If you complete all your assignments on time then you shouldn't worry about your grade. She even provided the class with a link to a free digital textbook. She is very understanding and caring about her students, all you have to do is reach out. I would take her again.

I loved taking Child Development 001 which Professor Evelyn Gomez because of how fun the assignments are and creative which makes it so much fun while learning. All assignments are clear and very informative and educational which I really would recommend taking this course. I wish Covid-19 was over so that I could have taken this class on campus.

This is my first time taking CD1 and I couldnt have chosen a better professor. As long as you participate in the online discussions, do the projects, and keep up with the reading, you can easily pass this class. She does give a lot of extra credit, which is always a bonus.

First time taking a Child Development class, and it was a great class. Taking it online was still really easy to follow along, and everything was well organized unlike many other classes Ive taken this year. Discussion are every week but responding to peers is not needed but extra credit is given if you do, which is amazing.

Pick her as your teacher!! She is such a nice woman and offers a lot of extra credit. If she can, she will help you find a book for the course. She allows retakes on the tests and the questions are straightforward and multiple choice. I recommend her 10x!!! She also grades promptly and provides feedback on your work.

Professor Gomez is a nice and caring person. She really wants her students to succeed in her class. There's class projects that you will enjoy. She will answer your emails and questions on time.

Professor Gomez gives you assignments for the week and you complete them at your own pace before the due date. I always was able to work ahead of the week and got a lot of homework done almost two weeks in advance. The instructions are straight forward and she always responds quickly if you have any questions. I would take this Prof. again.

I took CD 065 online at West LA College and I happened to meet an awesome Professor Gomez. Although, participation is necessary in the online classes, I enjoyed that I could freely communicate with my classmates through class discussions and they are all respectful... Thank you for a wonderful class..I learned a lot on mentoring.

She is awesome, gives good feedback and a lot of resources.

Some of the assignments may be difficult but it is all very interesting so it makes the class very easy to pass.

No real reading, most of the prompts that required responses were quick reads or videos and then we responded with our opinion/experiences.

I enjoy taking her class, it is simple, but you learn a lot!! I would definitely retake her. Maybe because it is a summer class, we didn't have quizzes, but I had a mid-term and final you have to write. She gave two projects that were fun and simple. I do recommend her.

Professor Evelyn Gomez was a very well-rounded, solid choice for this child development course. She grades easily, and she tells you how to earn extra credit very clearly. The only critique is that the material for the textbook and power point was not easily reachable, which made it a bit more complicated. Very nice and helpful! I recommend.

I really enjoyed how every chapter had it's own material and connection to the weekly discussions and assesments. especially the projects helped me a lot to deepen my knowledge in this course. I learned so much and the free text book online resource was also very nice. I can only recommend this course.
