she is really helpful and if you dont understand something in class you can go to her study group after class which she does "ON HER FREE TIME" and ask her anything that you dont understand. Really nice person and cares about her students.
She was very fair and gave plenty of chances to attend study groups she held. She was strict on deadlines and she makes up her own tests....Hint, go to her study sessions. I had her for both lab and lecture and got a B in A&P I and waited to take A&P II when she is teaching it.
I took her for A&P 1 and the first day of class she said she would try her best to trick us on every test...and she did. I understood the information but could not pass her tests...if you are not a good test taker...I DO NOT recommend you take her!
I like Dr. Mobley and her lectures are interesting and easy to follow along with the power points;HOWEVER, her tests are another story! You can study for DAYS/HOURS and unless you're a BRAIN, you will not make above a low B!..at best! Her study questions don't help at all! she does nothing to help concise material and prepare you for her tests.
I took her for A&P I lab and am currently taking her for a&PII if you like a challenge in your teacher take her. She is fair and helps when you need it. She gives you all the information you need. The trick to taking her tests is slow down and read the COMPLETE question and ALL the options if it is multiple choice.
Mobley is a good teacher But her test are really made to trick you. Some of her test are in a gray area more than on way to answer. If you want to pass A&P DON'T TAKE HER most people don't pass her classes!
hard, but fair.
First of all, she is an awesome lecture professor. She is crystal clear on everything she says. She even came into our labs for open lab review and basically covered everything. She is very strict on the two homework assignments she gives, but they're easy. Now about her exams, PAY ATTENTION.They're tricky, but you'll do fine if you know your stuff
She is an excellent instructor, but her tests are very hard and tricky. She gives no helpful hints to what's on the test. Her final is easy though.
TERRIBLE teacher. DO NOT take her if you want to make a decent grade in this class. She is too hard and not helpful. No study guides or any description of how tests are going to be. It is unclear what you are going to be quizzed on and she pronounces things wrong.
She is an excellent teacher. She is extremely fair and gives multiple extra credit assignments to better your grade. The tests are extremely tough, but fair. I am taking her for the second part of this class. I think she is a wonderful professor.
I had her for A&P 2, and I will not be taking her again. She gives you some extra credit which is somewhat helpful except her tests are very hard and very tricky. She doesn't make it clear what the test will cover and basically reads straight from the power points instead of explaining. I would not recommend her if you are a bad test taker. You have to work really hard for your grade in her class. Her final is very easy though.
During my course time with Dr. Mobley, I was very discouraged. Her tests are very tricky and she will make you feel like a fool for questioning things. She is not one to set her students up to be successful. I would not call her class a supportive, nor inviting to learn. I would not recommend Dr. Mobley for those looking for those qualities.
Her tests are TRICKY and uses confusing language that isn't consistent with what she teaches in lecture. She gets defensive when you question her about the test... When you ask her to explain something, she simply reads exactly what is off the powerpoint. She wants her students to fail, because that makes her look "tough"... DO NOT RECOMMEND!
Mobley's teaching style is very unique in that she only reads from her slides - word for word. Rarely does she say anything that isn't on the slide, she talks super fast, and comes across and "superior" to her students. She constantly tries to trick her students, and she seems to pride herself in being crafty. I do not recommend this teacher.
Dr. Mobley is a very good professor.Always willing to help after class.Really knows what she is talking about and is very clear as to how she can ask material on an exam. The content is hard and I think some people rate the content verses how she is as a professor. You must be willing to put the effort in it.I would reccomend her to anyone.
I was in the late friay night class. She didnt joke around. We got what we needed so we could get out of there. She would always hang out and help if we needed her to after class. We knew exactly what to expect each class and test. The content of the class is difficult but she used what she could to make it easy and help us remember it.Highly recommend
Mobley does not add much to the learning experience. She reads straight from the slide - a student could do this. What's the point of a teacher who only reads the power points? If at all possible avoid Mobley, unless you don't care about learning. You will not learn from Mobley, but you will find yourself aggravated at her for trying to fool you.
I have found Dr. Mobley to be very degrading. If and when I ask her questions, she try's to make me feel stupid. She should consider a different profession. Maybe boxing =-)
well... this was the hardest teacher I have ever had. I am a straight A student and I swear she did not want me to make an A.. somehow I managed but her lecture and lab class consumed me for 4 months.. she will give extra help in her office hour time, but I am paying for that, it is expected.if you can, get a different teacher, tests r trick ?
Good teacher, a bit tough, but fair. Provides powerpoints, examples, and study questions!!! :)
Jumps around a lot & the questions on her test make it seem like she wants to trick you or see you fail. By far the worst teacher I've ever had.
Very tricky teacher. I got a high A in A&PI and I got a 97 in APII lab(different teacher). However, I have Mobley for APII lecture and I'm getting 70's/80's. When the class average is less than a 70 you have to wonder if it's actually the test material or just the teacher.
Love Dr. Mobley. She is very well educated to teach this subject. She provides study questions for every test. She is very fun to listen too. She is amazing if you are ready to learn. A&P is tough she makes it fun.
Dr. Mobley goes out of her way to do things to help you get a good grade, and most importantly, to understand the subject. Extra credit, available office hours, and going over the test you took to make sure that you didn't accidentally mark the wrong number on your scantron (unprecedented!)...these all show her interest in her students' success.
Good teacher but if you have trouble with tests pick someone else.
Dr. Mobley is knowlegeable on the subject but is not any good at teaching it. If you ask her a question she just says the same thing over and over because she cannot expalin something but one way. So if you don't think like her you will not do good in her class. Her test are the hardest I have ever taken, she tries to trick you.Not recommended!!!!
Dr. Mobley is a great teacher. She is challenging, but goes out of her way to explain difficult concepts, give test information hints, studying tips, extra credit, etc. I highly recommend her class to those are are willing to work at understanding life science concepts (doing the homework, studying for quizzes and tests).
Dr. Mobley is amazing. She is super educated to teach this class. Took her for A&P and she made it look easy. She gives study questions for each exam. No tricks. Love this wonderful lady!!!
A very challenging class for several reasons. Mobley covers a TON of information (usually 100+ slides per chapter), and HAS to speak very quickly in class to cover it all. LOTS of "All of the Above", "None of the Above", and "A&C,B&D" etc type of questions on tests. My lowest test grade was a 90, so an A is definitely possible, but you work for it.
The lecture was given too fast to keep up with all the information. I felt that she was trying to get as much information in as possible instead of taking the time to explain things well.
really horrible teacher!
Love Dr. Mobley. Some of her reviews are bad because you actually have to study! She is very good at explaining hard to understand concepts. Gives extra credit, easy to reach if you have problems, always willing to help!!
Her questions on her exams are extremely tricky. Her lectures are very rapid and unclear. There is no time for taking notes. She's thorough, but beyond challenging.
Mrs Mobley is an excellent teacher. She will answer any question and is very good at explaining things. The material can be challenging. She takes an interest in every student, especially in lab. You need to come to class and do the homework. Do not text in class or leave early. I learned a lot. I highly recommend!! Love her :D
I took the lecture online (not recommended) but for lab Dr. Mobley was great- super helpful, always available... knows her stuff. Attendance policy = if no one leaves lab early, everyone gets extra points on midterm &/or final... but there always seems to be that one person who screws it up for everyone else :( definitely recommend her, though!
She does not explain things well at all. She picks out the tiniest details and even if you study thoroughly you still do not make a good grade. She does not try to work with you at all. Also i was an a student before this class, and i am barely scraping by with a b now. DO NOT take her. there are way better professors.
Great teacher. I can't believe anyone would make less than an A with her... She bends over backwards to explain topics in so many ways. I felt sorry for her sometimes, though, having to repeat herself because people weren't paying attention and texting! Unnacceptable... She's awesome, though. I would recommend her to anyone.
LISTEN TO ME FELLOW STUDENTS. I took her for lab and this teacher is the absolute worst I have ever had. She is extremely condescending and unclear. If you ask a question she will just beat around the bush and basically change the subject. Her tests are SO hard and she is definitely not someone who tests on what she teaches. Awful, awful, AWFUL!
Not an easy class but that doesn't have to do with her. All Anatomy and Physiology classes will be hard. She always gives you all the information you need and offers to stay after class with anyone who needs her help. She knows her stuff and is great at explaining it. Great professor.
She went way too fast during her lectures. Didn't explain or clear anything up for you. She wasn't much help. Terrible teacher.
I took her summer lab for A&P I. She spends a lot of time on her lectures, which are always useful. We had three tests total: One for the first part, one on the second, and the comprehensive. There was a lot of material, but she guides you on what's on the tests. She was extremely helpful, clear, and relatable. I really liked her! Super funny too.
I took Dr. Mobley for A&P 1 and A&P 2. I had her for lecture and lab both one year and I thoroughly enjoyed her class. The material in itself is tough and you will not pass if you do not study. However, Dr. Mobley is very clear, helpful, and will go out of her way to make sure you understand what she is teaching. Very friendly & will make you work!
Dr. Mobley is an okay teacher. She makes you work hard. Most of the stuff she says is right out of the book or on the powerpoints and she didn't elaborate on much.
Yes she does talk fast in lecture but she has been one of the best teachers I have had and she wants you to understand the material. Would take her in lab over lecture but so great for both. Study the ppt. and take notes.
A+P2 itself is a hard course, but Dr. Mobley tries to break down hard concepts as best as possible. Her tests are exactly what's in her PowerPoint, you don't even need to read the book. She is very kind and offers a lot of office hours to explain things to you if you need help. She appears intimidating at first, but is pretty easy going.
Mobley was awesome! A&P II is a tough class, but as long as you print out and follow along with the lectures and study the objectives you will do great in this class. For every test I would type out the objectives found in her powerpoints and their answers. Made A's on all her tests.
I was not a good match for this teacher, I am an eye to eye listener/learner and she never made contact with me, she also talked really fast to get through the lesson and she never repeated herself, her motto was you either learn it or you don't.
I'm taking her again for A&P too. Her class is passable if you put forth the work
I enjoyed Ms. Mobley's A&P lecture. As long as you print off her power points beforehand and follow them during lecture, you should have no problem getting a decent grade in this class. Her exams are straight from what she goes over in lecture.
TERRIBLE. I took her for lecture and the information was made much more complex than it had to be. She will not give extra credit and don't miss any deadlines.
Dr. Mobley is a great teacher. Her tests are pretty difficult and require a lot of critical thinking, but if you go to class and actually study then you'll do fine. I'm happy to take her again for A&PII. She's whip smart and is rooting for you to do well, you just have to want it. She's easy to reach outside of class too.
Mobley knows her stuff and only uses the slides to stay on task and further illustrate what she is teaching. She always has good ways of making a difficult topic memorable (mnemonics, and other tools). Always available via email and office. I would def take her again.
APII was harder for me than API. This class is tough and it moves FAST. Dr. Mobley really tries to help think of better ways to remember/understand things; a lot of success in this class comes from heavy reading and a lot of studying. She's a great teacher, but her tests are difficult. Recording lectures helped me because of how fast paced it is.
A&P II is a hard class in general and the class was not difficult just because of Dr. Mobley. Although, I continually studied, I could not make a B on her test. She seems to pick out some of the littlest details to use for her test and I do not know where she came up with some of her questions. She also does not offer any extra credit.
if you get it you get it if not good luck, No extra credit first exam 94 second 94 third 89 fourth 91 final 90 homework 5/5 lab 17/23 end up with B you need 3 energy drinks before taking her exams, she will do everything to decrease your grade
Not the best, not the worst professor. Her class moved very fast and she doesnt take the time to elaborate and explain the material so you basically have to teach yourself all the info for tests. Goes strictly off of her PowerPoints but there are 100+ slides per chapter. Very difficult class.. Not very accessible outside class either.
A&P 2 is a hard class. She talks fast so you have to be ready for that. Her test arent super specific but to pass the test youve gotta know your stuff. I failed 1 test but still managed to pass with a B. The semester starts out slow, but be the last test you have 2 weeks to know 4 chapters. Shes a tough teacher but she knows her stuff.
Dr. Mobley is pretty good. I didn't do so hot on her first test, but still managed to finish out well. She does go fast in lecture, so I wouldn't recommend trying to take notes. What helped me the most was looking at the objectives and working the Connect assignments over and over. She does make you work for it, but it's worth it.
I had Dr. Mobley for Anatomy and Physiology I and II. Don't miss class and study her slides to pass. She packs a lot into every lecture, but she is always willing to help if you have any questions. She repeats what you need to know to drill it into your long term memory. Great teacher for anatomy, you just have to put in your part as well.
Dr. Mobley is one of the best professors I have had. She is very caring and is always assessable outside of class. The class is tough and it is a lot of information to take in, but if you put the work in, you'll do fine! Mobley clearly explains what you need to know and as long as you get that, you'll pass the test.
Being in her portion of the lab was a terrible experience.
Excellent Instructor, likes to break down difficult subject matters and make them relatable. Print and take the power points and record the lectures. She packs a LOT into each lecture and goes very fast but test difficulty is very reasonable and on the subject matter taught. Study a little each day its not an easy subject matter
It is Anatomy and Physiology, you have to work for it! That being said Mobley practically leads the horse to the water! She makes you aware of every resource thats available! Great professor! TAKE HER!
I had her for the second half of the semester because COVID moved us online. I had another teacher before her for the first half, but she sent the powerpoints and made sure that she included what we needed to know and emphasized it in the slides strongly. Be prepared to study.
First off, during these crazy times of covid I have been forced to take anatomy 2 online. She does not teach during the lecture hours. I had to teach myself the whole course. Possibly the worst teacher I have ever had. Do not take. She acts sweet and like shell be understanding, but she's far from that. Listen to me
Just terrible. Spends most of the lecture trying to figure out how the computer works and the other half answering questions and talking about other irrelevant things. Maybe shes a better teacher in person but online was miserable. I had to teach myself everything!! Her test questions pick out small details instead of focusing on main ideas!
In lab you have to buy your own dissection kit & she is so particular about grading. I labeled everything correctly but bc I forgot to put a notecard with the date on it beside my name I lost 50% of my grade. You have to watch the lab/lecture videos and teach yourself. she is only available for questions during what should be class hours. DONT TAKE
The literal worst professor/teacher I've EVER had in my LIFE. All we do in lecture is take stupid Kahoot quizzes. That's it. In lab we take more Kahoot quizzes and then get set free to do online work. It's hard enough having class online, but trying to teach myself A&P 2???? No thanks. To avoid getting a failing grade, I am dropping this class.
I took her for the accelerated A&P 1 class over the summer. I loved her teaching style. Lots of kahoots that she would explain in detail. I did really well in her class and when I made a lower exam grade I scheduled a zoom meeting with her and she really helped me get the concepts. I wish I had her for A&P 2 as well.
Everyone knows A&P 2 is anything but easy. Dr. Mobley is down to earth and fair. She goes above and beyond to help her students (those who want help.) She won't spoon feed you answers, but she'll teach you how to learn. I appreciate Dr. Mobley because she spent a lot of her own time making sure we had the tools needed to succeed in her class.
Practically all that we did in lecture was Kahoots. You have to teach yourself everything, she moves so fast in Lab and basically tells you to figure it out yourself and she will go over the answers later. Only when she does, you can't keep up. She made Unit exams wordy and hard to understand. When called out on a mistake, she would get defensive.
Evelyn Mobley is by far the WORST professor I've every had. I've loved all my professors until now. She is extremely lazy, relies on Kahoot Quizzes to "teach" her lecture, and flies through lab leaving no time for questions. She is rude. Her doctorate cannot be in science. She was corrected numerous times on material that she clearly didn't know.
Hard class, she makes the expectations clear it is just your responsibility to study.
I took Dr. Mobleys A&P2 lecture and lab and she was amazing! She does do Kahoots during lecture class but I really enjoyed them and it helped to learn something before class. She also gives 5 extra points for your grade if you do all of the Kahoots and theyre good studying material for her exams and final. Highly recommend! :)
I highly recommend Mobley as a professor for AP2! She took the time to help me understand material I was struggling to grasp, and never let me doubt my skills. She was encouraging and very supportive!
She uses a flipped class style Basically an online class You are responsible for watching lecture videos & teaching yourself everything you learn. Does very brief 15 minute "lecture overview" She talks very fast and is difficult to understand. difficult and hard to understand questions makes this class way harder than it needs to be.
She speaks super fast, making it hard to keep up, and you are expected to watch the lecture videos before class. I highly recommend making study guides for the exams. If you ask for help, she will make sure you understand it and is always willing to answer questions, which is nice, but other than that, good luck.
You teach yourself all the material via recorded lectures at home, then sit for 3 hours a day while she races through lab, gives you a weird superiority complex when asked questions, and self admittedly prides herself on “tricking” you with her unnecessarily convoluted exam questions. Worst professor I've ever had.
Professor Mobley teaches on a flipped schedule meaning you'll have to watch all the prerecorded lectures before you come to class, if this doesn't fit your learning style, don't take this course with her. I couldn't tell if she was just passionate or passive aggressive because she raised her voice a lot. She does give extra credit though.
I loved Dr. Mobley! I took the 5 week A&P 1 summer course with her, and she made it very manageable. She's really fun and makes the class interesting. She teaches on a flipped schedule, so you watch lecture videos at home and then do lab in class. The exams are fine if you watch the videos and attend class. Overall, it was a great experience!
Her lectures are very powerpoint heavy, take notes! Overall a good professor; I really enjoyed her class but it was difficult. Study hard and you'll be fine, but don't take A&P alongside any other hard classes bc it will cut into your time. She didn't teach in a way that I learned very well so I had to do a lot of re-learning outside of class.
The worst professor I have had by far. If you expect to learn anything please do not partake in this class with Mobley.
The professor was hard to understand and didn't explain concepts clearly, making it difficult to keep up with the material. Do not take this class.
The professor was disorganized and frequently changed the office hour schedule, which made it hard to get help when needed.
The professor's syllabus was contradictory, and the deadlines listed in the online portal were different from the ones in the syllabus. There was no clear structure to the class, and it felt like we were just guessing what was expected of us.
The professor seemed to have no interest in the subject or in teaching. They read directly from the slides without any elaboration, and attendance dropped significantly after the first few weeks.
The professor made a lot of jokes that fell flat, and the overall atmosphere was awkward. It was hard to stay engaged when the professor clearly wasn't enthusiastic about the material.
The grading was extremely unclear. I don't know why I lost points on assignments, and the professor was unwilling to discuss it. The professor only offered one office hour a week and was often unprepared for it.
I wouldn't wish her teaching my worst enemy. She literally doesn't care.
She is extremely adamant about what you need to learn however when you receive your exams there is never any clear guide to explain how the material is blended and manipulated to add additional layers not taught in the in- person or online lectures for even an idea for a memorization potential.
She is nice in general however her grading scale is insane and none of her exams make sense or equate to the original study material. She creepily stated that she keeps all final exams in her attic or garage/storage at her personal home for three years after examinations are completed.
There was no actual prep for the exams and she uses the fact that she has a flipped-classroom model to excuse the fact that she didn't teach you what is on the exams. ‘You should've learned it yourself' (eg; ‘You didn't listen thoroughly enough to the videos')
After 60 days in this class 7 of the orig 23 people had withdrawn from class She brags that her ‘pass rate' is 85% however this doesnt include the students that withdrawal after60 days which is 30% and she fails to mention that if you make a D as a PASS(for HER)you must repeat the course/receive a C or + that includes this as prereq
Her material doesn't match the exams at all, when you focus on what she puts on her syllabus or anything it's NEVER on the exam. She uses videos that's not even hers and told me they don't even help prepare for the exams…
This class is hard regardless of the professor you have, but she would not be my first pick. She has a flipped classroom style (watch lectures online). She is not great at explaining things or answering questions straightforward. Study guides are not the greatest and she can be pretty vague about what is on the quizzes.
something has to be done about her. No reason her material doesn't match the exams and even when you reach out for help everybody gets conflicting answers. I made a review but I'm literally pushed back because of this class and its the only class I've failed and i did tutoring but what's the point when the topic she tells you IS NOT ON THE EXAM
Several pros to Dr. Mobley-- fast grader, quick responder in emails, funny, helps whenever asked, and will stay later to explain things in more detail if the students need it! One con- it's A&P, it will never be easy people. However, I think I could've gotten a B if I had a better study plan from the get go.
