very nice person.very helpful.but a lot of hw.and exams look hw and material covered in class.new n still need more experience but he's okay and i recommmend him
Best physis teacher EVER! He may grade and test like a stickler, but his class is very easy on the basis that he explains the material thoroughly during lecture.
hes sort of a boreing teacher. takeing a 3 hour class with him might not be the most enjoyable experience. however with that said i would still recommend him over kadomoto any day of the week. he knows what hes doing and he trys to help if he can. the only problem is the enthusiasm
great teacher, informative, lots of work but worth it. if your interested in physics he'll feed the need, just takes a little getting to know
It's obvious he enjoys the subject matter, but he doesn't deviate from his own "path of knowledge" very easily.
Dr. Goldmann is a good, reliable professor. His exams are fairly reasonable, especially if you did your hw. Dr. G is open to suggestions and is always there for his students, even on Sundays, though many do not take advantage of it (their loss). Horrifying how many ppl approach him warily - he's everything I expect of a prof. and more.
to protect innocent people from him i don`t recomend him at allthe worst i ever had
Okay, First off this man knows how to teach; His methods for lecturing are highly effective. However, he expects his students to know all the material covered and, what I disliked most about the class, He will go around the room, and start picking on people. He does this for all his lectutres. Kinda embarrassing and If you don't know he'll ask why.
This was the second time i take MR goldmann. I took him first in phys 1A then in 1B. and the only thing am gonna say that im glad i took him again :) Recommended
bad even the worst we were 19 student for phys 1A but we ended up with 5 student .....2 got B , 3 got C , 1 got F and the rest droped the class......................... then u judge
you have to be inesitine to pass in his class verry difficult.....................KOS EMMO.................
Great professor. Lectures are carefully crafted and prepare one adequately for homework/tests. Must do all homework to do well. Homework/tests are challenging but not too ridiculous. Goldman loves teaching and spends his own time on campus to help students who need it. Knows the material inside out and is good at explaining it.
Started with 32 student and end with only two student passing. Ultra boring class. Will lecture during lab time. Maybe two labs during the whole semester.
Awesome teacher. Looking forward to 1a
Lectures contain the necessary content but are not concise or organized enough to take good notes on. Easily caught off guard by questions, is occasionally humorous, but is generally quite boring. Tests aren't hard and homework isn't excessive.
1.Spend too much energy on detail, lack inspiration in his lecture. 2.Picky in lab report. 3.Fairly easy if you spend time on HW, and solve problems the way he did (the way he like!). Samething for Exams. In conclusion, MR.G is a good one; however, if you want to engaged in physics, you need a more inspirative one.
this professor is ok. his lectures are ok and he seems interested in the subject. my only complaint is about how picky he is when it comes to hmwk- i would only get half credit because of things like writing 2 equations on one line! but the tests are ok if you study and his lectures are easy to follow. read the book and you'll be fine.
I wont recommend him at alll....he cant explain the materials well...picky on eVERYTHNg. LAb report. HW. Exams...i dont recommend him to anyone.:-L
definitely a passable class, i think if ur respectful he will be lenient on ur final grade assuming its close, but could definatley learn to teach better but phys is a tuff subject takes time to learn u must learn to see things in a big pic to understand what is going on, get a white board it helps on the hw
this teacher is very confusing, and seems confused himself. He seems to really enjoy the subject but as far as teaching it, not such a good idea. I have to drop the class since I failed the 1st test. He said that the majority of the class failed the test so that should say something about his teaching.
He is very visual in his examples. He gives few hmwk problems, but they're pretty challenging. If you need help, just ask him and he will REALLY break it down.
doesn't use book. MUST show to class or you're lost entirely
I took this class Spr 09 and had to drop.He does not have many office hours and does not give good explanations. His tests are not based on homework and test on material that has not been taught in class. His teaching style is different from the other more established physics instructors.
4 components to your grade: Homework, Labs, Test, and Final. Each test is 17% of your grade and the final is 19%. His test are 2 hours long for 4 questions while his final is 3 hours for 6. The test questions are like his example problems with a hard twist. Attendance is mandatory. His lectures are super clear so if you take notes you will be fine.
He is very detail oriented! It might seem picky at first but he helps you organize your work and thinking! He is a great teacher! Take notes and do the home work!
He's a nice guy but don't take his class unless you like physics. He always has an excuse to ignore your questions, "I want YOU to solve it" or "The answer is posted online" but he never actually EXPLAINS and expects you to get it on your own. He never explains the homework problems, and his class examples are overly simple and don't help much.
i took Dr.Goldmann for physics 1b, and physics 1D. hes not the greatest prof. for 1b, but hes THE BEST for physics 1D. he helps u a lot and gives u hints. his lectures are interesting. and will answer ?s.exams r related 2 class examples and if he does derivations in class pay attention & understand how 2 derive them, he usually throws 1 on exam
WARNING: Don't take this class unless you have a degree in law. Unnecessarily tedious with descriptions. He will nitpick at all HW and essay test questions and will subtract points if you didn't include descriptive words he liked. I actually learned a lot and feel I understand PHYS pretty well, but my grade does not reflect that. Look elsewhere.
Hard teacher, lots of math.
A real physics neard, explains really well, but is super anal about his rules. I did well in class because I showed up all the time and took notes. All his stuff is from the homework he gives and the notes. If you get the stuff you should get a good grade.
Not an easy teacher if you don't pay attention, but if you do, it'll be easy. I only opened the book to do exercises and got an A. He is super clear explaining the material, a lot of great experiments. If you want to learn or just have a bit of curiosity, take this class. If you want an easy grade, probably not the class to take.
He is the easiest professor among PHYSICS DEPT. Pay attention in the class will gives you plenty amount of the information about your homework. Unfortunately, He does not give you answer unless you are showing him some work. In El Camino Physics 1 series, you have two choices give up your life or give up your grade. trust me, and Good luck!
Hard professor, losts of homework and he didn't grade all of it only random 3 problems of each, which i think it was unfair because doesn't give credit for the rest of the problems
I took this professor in spring 2010. His class wasn't too hard. I got a C on my first exam, probably because I went from 1A to 1D. But, on the other three exams I managed A's. A lot of his exam problems are similar to his instructor problems. Make sure to go to his office hours when you have no idea on how to solve a problem. That's what helped me
Neither good nor bad. He teaches by examples. If you get them, you will get B/A. He'll be the harshest grader after Mr K's retirement. He makes the result depending mainly on exams. A hw is 30points and a lab is 70-110, but 1point in a 40-50points exam occupy your grade more than 10 points in lab report.
Highly qualified and coherent professor. Makes sure that you understand the material. You just have to pay attention to what he says in class. Gives crucial hints about tough homework problems before the due date. He is also very helpful during office hours. You have to show him a genuine interest in the material and he will gladly help you.
The worst teacher ever. Dun take him if you want to get A. His homework would make you to the hell. Cuz he gives you the advanced homework problem. Not even make sense.
I enjoyed the class, though I did feel like I may have put in a lot of effort to receive only the B I got. I wasn't trying to get an A with my workload (over 15 units), but this is a Physics course where the workload is large, the homework is hard, and the tests are hard too. You have to work hard and it is tiring, but I've had worse Professors.
Dr Goldman is a great teacher. His lectures are extremely clear, so if you pay attention, you can save time and not read the book. He likes work done his way, which frustrated some students, but if you learn it, it will make your life easy. His lectures are not boring, a lot of demonstrations. Very predictable tests.
Physics 1D in general is hard regardless of professor but I think goldmann is better than other 1D prof. There was so much material in 1D, he does few example problems that isn't similar to lecture and you get lost. hw every week, lab due every 2 weeks. you buy your own blue book for tests.
Tough class. You must attend every lecture and take good notes otherwise you will be lost. He does a great job of explaining the material, although his homework is extremely challenging. Homework is due every Friday and you will be up all Thursday night doing it. If you did everything correctly on the homework, the test will be easy.
He gives homework every week and expects you to know everything from physics 1A. He grades 13 of your homework and is very strict on lab reports. Although his lectures were clear he makes the homework and test unnecessarily hard.
He's a really good and smart professor. He teaches material well, and lectures are very clear, but sometimes it feels like he's going too slow. Homework is really tough sometimes, but he offers help in his office (if you've made an honest effort to try it). Strict grading on his homework, but it'll help you become neat. Tests similar to homework.
This man will put you through too many loops in order to pass. He DOES NOT use a textbook because he has is own set of notes. You HAVE to use blue books for each test. Homework is TOO difficult. You NEED internet access. He gives you handouts that you MUST know on top of everything else plus you have labs and he doesn't use calculus in his lectures
Take Goldmann & you will learn. I did not use the textbook at all, only to do one hw problem. He has you analyze problems intuitively. "Don't just plug in #'s, look at what the equation is telling you, does this answer make sense?" etc. His hw can be hard but start early, work in groups. Sometimes exams felt easier after putting up with the hw.
I don't know where to start about Goldmann. He is my best experience in physics, thermodynamics and mechanics. He is that one teacher I will remember forever, and I'll keep his notes for the rest of my life. You won't see such a TEACHER and LECTURER anywhere else. It was such a pleasure and honor being his student. He is simply the best
If this is your first college physics class, def take Goldmann. His lecture and format will prepare you well. He introduces the material gradually so you won't just sink. Make an attempt to do problems before asking help. 3x5 notecard for exams. Weekly hw due. 38 probs will be difficult but if you learn how to do them all, tests won't feel scary.
Dr G is the man. Expect to learn, If you are an engineering major take him. His lectures notes will be equally as important as the Egyptian Rosetta Stone. He does not follow the book, he follows his common sense of judgement. There are no days off, not even to the very last day. Expect your mind to be reprogrammed to problem solving.
Prof. Goldmann was a fair grader and even a bit generous with partial credits. You won't be surprised on test if you always do homework and take notes. He is strict on the format of your assignments so make sure you read all instructions carefully.
His lecture is clear and well organized. The thing is that his homework problems are too many and too difficult. Also, he has his own style, so you need to keep up with it, or you would receive bad grade. Ask him about the hw problems as many as you can. Because the exams are very similar to hw problems and lecture examples. Then you can get A
He is not an easy professor. If you come from Stolovy or Prieto you will die in there. They don't compare to him. Goldmann's techniques too much and he is very picky on how he need that work done.
When I was stuck he gave me just enough hints to solve it on my own His lectures are always clear, and you can ask questions if you don't get it He always tries to treat all his students fairly.
A theoretical physicist. Picky, strict, weird, but nice, adorable and fair. Push you to stretch your thinking. Lecture and note are well-organized. Extra credit will be hard. 4 exams+weekly challenging homework(paper work,be neat, also complete it independently). Exams and hw are similar. The best ever! Highly recommend!
To pass the class, you'll work for it. His homework are self-made so it's hard to find help or answers. He's very strict with grading, and near paranoid about cheating. He accused me and my lab partner on cheating on our lab and our friends on their hw even when we didn't cheat. Admit it and 0 OR face the dean. We dropped to avoid either.
Took him for physics 1A. Homework is extremely difficult. Not even the tutors were able to solve some of the problems. Tests will be similar to the homework but a little more tricky. Overall, he is a really good teacher and will make you understand physics very well. Good luck!
Goldman's lectures are amazing. What I really like about him is his organization. He also explains everything very well. Not an easy class, hw extremely hard but very similar to the exams which helps a lot.
He is great!! I Strongly recommend him. He makes everything easy to understand, exams are hard but similar to hw, hw due every week, and not too many labs.
The class is really hard, but not impossible to succeed. Goldman makes everything easy to understands and he really cares if everyone is understanding the lecture. Great Professor, supper picky for homework and labs, but great lectures.
The best physics professor in El Camoino. His lectures are amazing. All the tests are straight coming from the homework problems. If anyone did the homework perfectly no need to worry about the tests.
This class is hard (like any physics class) but it is very possible to succeed in. Here is the strategy to getting an A: start on the HW early, and if you are doing it in groups, make sure you're not only receiving answers but contributing as well. The week before a test, finish your HW as early as possible and study previous HW(test will resemble)
Awesome professor! His homework can get tricky, so form study groups right away. His tests are very fair, based off of problems from the hw and notes. You have about 3 hours for 4 questions so you have plenty of time. He also gives one extra credit assignment and gives back points when necessary. This class made me love physics. Would recommend!
Homework is due every week and is 15% of your grade and labs are 15% of your grade too. Tests are 70%. Homework is a bit tough at first but just go to his office hours and it'll get a bit easier. As long as you do good on his homework you'll be fine for his tests. He is really picky so make sure you try to follow his instructions almost exactly.
Be prepared to sit through boring lectures with some awkward attempts at being funny. It is truly unfortunate that such a socially awkward professor teaches a course that requires a lot of back-and-forth. Dont expect a lot of flexibility from this guy.
He expects his students to be geniuses and doesn't really give them a chance. Which is insane for an introductory course. Your grade is from 4 exams and labs, that's it. Homework doesn't really help your grade and if you can't do it on your own you will definitely struggle on the exams
I took physics before and did horribly. When I took Goldmann's class though, the difference was night and day. He's experienced and knows how to teach the material. Physics is hard to understand just in general but he makes it easy and provides lots of visual examples of concepts. His lab days are explained and you have a long time for tests.
His lecture is clear to understand. He is always willing to ask questions, but never ask him any question before he get very irritated when students does that. Don't worry he will let you ask question in the beginning of class, always helpful in his office hour, or stay after class for any question. I wish he could teach 1C.
Best physics professor in the department. His HW is really challenging but if you are able to master the problems then you should have no problems for the exam. Try to take most of the physics courses with him he is really amazing.
He is a really good professor and makes it really easy to understand the material. that being said the class is not an easy A but if you put in the effort you will do well. I would recommend his class for anyone taking physics 11
Take him as a last resort. The lectures are long. He doesn't go over the material in the textbook, and whatever material he does go over is marginal at best compared to the homework. Because of this, the homework takes hours for at most six problems, because they're so different from the problems we do in class.
Take him as a last resort. The lectures are so long for 3 practice problems at the most, which have almost nothing to do with the homework, which takes hours because of how far removed they are from the lecture.
Short-tempered, too much homework, test is loosely based on homework
Just know that the physics department @ El Camino is no joke if you plan to take them all. They care if you are good at physics, not your gpa. Let me repeat that. They care if you are GOOD AT PHYSICS, not gpa. No curves in Goldmann's class and you must complete ALL assignments perfectly to receive an acceptable grade. Good professor. Master the HW
Very detailed and clear lectures. Homework follows what he presents in lectures and tests follow homework. Helpful during office hours. Sometimes expectations/directions are not clear. Class can be frustrating at times and he pushes you and makes you work hard. He'll make you a better student. Overall good Professor that cares.
Homework is never the kinds of problems from the lecture. He's super picky about details, neatness, and takes off points for things like a hard to read scan ( my phone is old and there's a pandemic!). I don't feel like I will be prepared for the next physics class by this one. Totally lost. He doesn't care.
It's quite unfortunate that he happens to be one of the lecturers I've ever had as he is also one of the coldest, rudest, and most unapproachable professors I've ever had.
VERY TOUGH GRADER!! I felt that I spent more time organizing my hw so that i wouldn't get deducted for irrelevant details than i did actually learning something. soo picky on details, and off-putting to students. Also, he can be paranoid with copying on hw/labs and such, so much that i avoided sharing any work with other studens out of fear
If you are planning on taking physics 1A please don't let the negative reviews nudge you in the wrong path. I can assure you that the other physics instructors at El Camino aren't any different in terms of teaching style. Be aware that physics is not supposed to be easy but if you put in the effort you will learn a lot from professor Goldmann.
I have him for 1A. He is the best physics professor in Elco. I learned a lot from his class. His lectures are clear. Homework is a little bit harder than examples in lecture. Tests are just like homework, and he only changes the numbers. I took 1A with him while 1C, 1D with other professors, professor Goldmann is the best.
I took 1A, 1B, and 1D with him. I took him both pre-covid and during covid. Yes, his class is tough but I think he is the greatest prof at Elco. If you can succeed in his classes, you will succeed in any class when you transfer. Make sure you solve all the homework by yourself, the exam is very similar. Go to office hours every day!
Professor Goldmann is the best physics professor I've had at El Camino. His homework is tough but fair and his exams are extremely close to the problems in the homework. He responded quickly to emails when I had questions or concerns. His lectures are clear and structured very well. Form a study group. It helped me tremendously. Go to office hours!
He is the best Physics Professor in the world. You have to know that Phys is tough and yes it's not for everyone. But if u r in his class, you are in a good hand. You will be so well prepared for your upper-division classes. His lectures are clear and organized. DO the homework, go to OH, spend more time on the lab reports and you are good to go.
HE WILL HELP YOU UNDERSTAND THE MOST COMPLEX MATERIAL SIMPLY. He is a tough grader, has EXTREMELY difficult material (helps you for his difficult exams). If you are a lazy, do NOT take this class unless you are a genius. I am not the smartest, but I had to grind. Best physics professor I ever had. Get to know him, and talk in class. Participation!
One of the worst professors I've ever had. He knows his stuff but has an awful personality. Raises his voice at you if you do something wrong. Makes me feel terrible so I avoided talking to him. To top it off, he grades so strictly more than any other professor I've had. Take as last resort.
Very difficult HW. Helps but is condescending. Lectures are slow but he makes them understandable. The HW is somewhat similar to the lecture but most problems are created by himself and are difficult to grasp. Test is similar to the HW but consists of two easier questions and two very difficult questions.
Not a great professor in the physics department
The worst professor I have ever taken at El Camino College. He is very rude and gives attitude like no other professor I have seen. Taking his class was a huge mistake. All those good reviews you see about him are fake because half the class dropped him. That by its own shows how bad of a professor he is. Never to take again.
Took him for 1B and 1C. By far the best physics lectures at ECC. Rigorous, clear, and organized. HW is difficult, but will prep you for the exams and ensure that you actually know the material. He's not the most warm and cuddly individual, but he's there to teach you physics, not be your mommy. Take him if you want to learn physics.
Half the class dropped. Pros: Explains well, quizzes related to HW, answers to HW beforehand, office hours, 3x5 cheat sheet quiz Cons: Fast paced course; you'll discuss 2-3 new topics each class session and will be expected to understand it, difficult HW, Quizzes worth 70% of your grade, never goes over homework or any work done before. GL.
Professor Goldmann manages to make a fall course feel like a winter course by the way he speeds through every topic and never looks back. Horrible professor for students who are new to the material. Lots of difficult homework that will take you the whole week to complete. Plan to truly dedicate yourself to the course as you will fail if you don't.
His class is not that hard to pass if you go to class. A lot of problems on the homework are similar to problems done in class. One quiz a week with one question similar to a question on the homework. He is also open to questions if you are confused about a problem. I recommend studying the hardest question from the homework for the quiz.
I got an A but beware this professor is extremely difficult. If I didn't already know most of the formulas used in the course I would have had a difficult time solving problems. If you're not polished in Physics I would highly encourage you to find another professor. Class is passable but it will take up most of your time. Lots of difficult HW.
Prof Goldmann is bad, just plain bad. Overcomplicates subjects and his explanations can be confusing. He also won't review your work and he has his TA's grade everything for him so he's not even checking your work himself. Take another professor, he's not the one. If you have a good GPA, def avoid.
Took Goldmann during the Spring. Teaches Phys 1C really well regarding how difficult the subject really is. Moves efficiently throughout the chapters and makes the lectures very understandable. HW is hard but go to his office hours so that he can be able to help you. Tests are similar to the HW so make sure to redo the HW q's to help you prepare.
Professor Goldmann needs to do better. He never goes over quizzes, homework and etc. If he gave out example problems in the lecture with the same difficulty as the homework, he would allow students to better understand. Instead students are doing their homework for hours trying to figure out materials he did not teach or were underprepared for.
i cannot believe prof Goldmann has any rating other than a 5/5. he makes physics digestible and fun. i wish he could teach all stem subjects. he is particular about how he wants your work done but he tells you what he's looking for, which to me is way better than guessing what a prof wants. He works to make sure students understand the material.
PROS: -decent lectures -not many labs -quizzes are similar to a hw problem -final exam is NOT cumulative. CONS: -hw is usually different than the lecture -a lot of hw but only grades 1/3 of it -wants work done in a specific format -quizzes are 70% of your grade -he's cryptic when you ask for hw help - you'll need tutoring if you're struggling.
very clear lectures, need to study in a group or w/tutor for homework (graded). exams are like homework and lecture examples, no curveballs there. gives good partial credit on exams. hardest part is his tough grading on the labs, which barred me from getting an A. sparse extra credit, 1 assignment at end which isn't rlly worth it. no curve.
He is a great professor and makes physics fun with demos and the way he lectures is pretty straight forward. The way he grades is as well; he assigns tons of homework, sure, but the graded problems are almost exaclty what shows up on the exams. I'm just wondering if the negative reviews are from people who don't want to put the work in...
He takes off half your points for not doing the work the way he wants it to be done. He took so many points off of my labs because the instructions were unclear and I didn't show enough work. Same with the homework. The tests are fine. But the reason I couldn't get a B was because of how many points he took off for work. Lectures were good tho.
He's a great professor, but you have to conform to his methods. He does a great job lecturing and truly teaches the topics. You have to do the work the way he wants it, he'll go over how he likes you to do your work and if you can do that the class is free. He provides cheat sheets for exams and homework and notes problems are the same as exams.
Lectures are straight forward but he wants things done his way ! He does care for his students but he's not very approachable and sometimes lacks empathy towards students that don't really understand the material . Overall, he was okay but I'd rather take another professor.
Got a 3 on AP 1 and C mech and slept through the course, gives you a note card to put notes on, the course is very fast-paced for someone who is actually learning, videos are recorded for hybrid, only test is a weekly quiz, does drop lowest quiz grade. Quizzes are usually easier than homework
1A in person no online notes, only lecture. His lectures are thorough and straightforward, not the best at answering questions/doesn't understand what students are asking. HW can range from 4-10 problems(6ish hrs?) a week, labs are graded very granularly. Gives two-sided note card cheatsheet for each (of 4)exams I took AP 1 & C mech for grade ref
Exams are 4-5 problems each and pretty similar to hw problems which was very helpful when revising. I enjoyed his lectures, textbook is not required but I refer to it sometimes if lecture notes weren't enough. Hw is 6-8 problems weekly (answers are provided), he grades 2/6 problems and 7th-8th (if any) by the end of the semester.
Do all the homework. Start working on it asap because it is very difficult and long. That being said if youre a true grinder and work through the homework the class will be an easy A. I failed all the labs but got an A cuz of the tests. homework problems are all on the test so you shouldn't be surprised by anything. Allows a notecard during tests.
took him hybrid he does weekly quizzes which are the same as the hw. you get a cheat sheet for every quiz easy A and he teaches well.
Best professor at Elco. Explains concepts well and prepares you well for the exam. Take him if you want to learn and do well
his class is challenging, you really have to work for it. Doing the hw preps you for the exams very well. take him if your looking to learn
Lectures were easy to understand. He actually explains methods to solve problems unlike other teachers who expect you to know it all. One of the better physics professors at El Camino. Sometimes, he grades homework strangely and becomes very strict on giving you credit. Do problems his way and you will be fine. He cares a lot about neatness!
Retook Physics 2a with Goldmann after dropping with another teacher. He is an amazing professor, however he is also very anal about doing things his way. Only solve the problems his way! Homework is harder than quizzes. He provides real world examples with his problems which are helpful. 10/10 experience & would take again.
Don't take him you won't pass. We started with 35 students and ended with 10, some which still didn't pass. He's a pain, unwelcoming and not patient. He's an awful professor all around. I barely passed and thats because I don't have a life outside of school so I was able to dedicated all my time to class. If you don't have that, don't take him
Grade is essentially made of 14 singular question quizzes. Unless you're male, in tech, or naturally very smart you probably won't pass. He likes things done his way and no other. Doesn't take feedback very well. Genuinely was a nightmare and very unwelcoming. Don't not take him unless it's your only option.... good luck and I'm sorry.
Professor Goldmann's 1A class is challenging but rewarding. His lectures are thorough, and he provides great resources like cheat sheets. Though strict on work format, he ensures students understand physics. unstuck ai's study tools also helped me ace this class.
He was so strict with grading criteria. It did not matter if you had the correct answer, if you were missing an equation or forgot to label something, he would give you an automatic 0 and he does not budge when you ask to fix at your grade. Don't take his class.
Professor Goldman might seem intimidating at first, but he really cares about his students. Lectures are well explained and quizzes are basically the homework. Take him if you are willing to put in the work, trust me, it is rewarding.
I can't lie, all of the people saying that this class is hard must be dumb. This class was one of the easiest science/math-related classes I've ever taken, especially for a college-level class. Your grade is pretty dependent on your quiz scores, but the quizzes themselves are very simple and only 1 question. You really don't need much skill to pass
agree with the comment before, his lectures are simple and the way how he does problems is the same way on the quizzes, the practice problems are exactly like the quiz, just gotta practice, he even allows cheat sheets on quiz
