Professor Goffe is the BEST teacher I have ever had!! I thought Anatomy was going to be very difficult but she explains all the information in great detail and provides understandable examples. She also has a great sense of humor. Eylana is a beautiful woman.
She's the best anatomy teacher at CCRI. The class itself is extremely hard but she trys to break it down into the most simple terms as possible. She ahs a lot of quizzes to help boost yiur grade and her door is always open to talk about your grade. She doesn't get mad in lab when asking questions, she will go and over wirth you where a sturcute is.
had mrs goffe for lab. she is extremly funny and extremly quick witted. you really cant get a joke past her without her jabbin u back once you think u have the upper hand. study the lab books good and show up! mrs goffe is so hot she needs 3 tamales.
She is an amazing teacher. I wish she taught physiology so I could take it with her.
I would HIGHLY reccomend her!! Anatomy is not easy but she does the a wonderful job making the infomation clear. There are no surprises and she tells you exactly what will on the exam. Because this class is so hard you need a good teacher like her to make is so much more understandable!!! If you have to take anatomy make sure to take it with her!
Eylana is a wonderful teacher. She is very helpful in understanding your assignment. humm yeah shes is funny and makes the class interesting. She is a tuff, but and awsome teacher. Show up for class and study on extra labs and you will do fine.
Prof Goffe is extremely nice and helpful, this class is not easy, just study the lecture and lab manual like its the bible! She has quizzes and she has extra credit on exams. If you really want the book for anatomy buy it, otherwise i would use other sources like the internet because the only time you use the book is for pictures & muscles.TAKE HER

The professor definitely put the time into her profession, however her style of teaching does not suit me.
Just finished a summer class with the professor. Not sure if it is due to the compressed schedule, but she seemed a bit disorganized and rushed in the teaching of the class. Maybe she is better during the regular semester.

Eylana is awesome! If you really want to learn anatomy take her. Her lectures are crystal clear, love her powerpoint notes. She gives you all the information you need and she's really helpful especially in the lab. Very, approachable, nice and funny. I would recommend her to anyone.
Read the positive reviews and was hoping to enjoy the class. I found her to be corny, scatterbrained, and not super helpful in lab. If I had to do it again I would take the class with a different professor.
Really hard grader. I thought I was going to get an A, but received a B. I felt I had to do all the work myself for the class as she was not very helpful to me.
Dr. Goffe is a tremendous teacher. But Anatomy is extremely challenging. Be ready to spend at least 8 hrs/week studying and attend extra labs if you want an A. She's very helpful in lab, her lectures are very clear and you can buy a notebook with all her slides so you don't have to take many notes. Her pop culture references are funny.
She tries to be humorous in class and keep it light, however I wish she would spend more time teaching.
I took this class in the summer of '09. This is a very hard class and you must be willing to make anatomy your life. Professor Goffe is extremely helpful and willing to go the extra mile for you, if you put in the effort. If you are a serious student and work hard for your grades, I highly recommend Professor Goffe.
goes through material too fast, emails are answered 3 or 4 days after, quizzes and exams have only a few questions of the material she goes over, too much information for lecture and too much for lab, worst experience with biology
She goes to fast through her lectures. She doesn't go over test or quizzes. It's almost like shes in a class room by herself. Her attitude is like shes uptight and makes you don't want to ask her about anything. I hate her class.
Professor Goffe is amazing! She's the best biology teacher I've ever had. She's clear with what to expect on the exams/quizzes,really cares about what she's teaching, is willing to help you in any way.This was my second time around in Anatomy and she made it an awesome experience. Get ready to study all the time but exams come from her powerpoints.

Absolutely phenomenal teacher, I would take her for every class if possible. Anatomy has to be a priority, she emphasizes this at the beginning of the semester. She loves seeing students do well. She does go through information quickly but all the material is in the booklet. Text bookwork she gives is a waste but she is a fair friendly teacher
Professor Goffe is an amazing anatomy teacher. She's right there to answer all your questions but when you have them you need to learn.... you have to ask them. She is very very fair and you know EXACTLY what to expect which I appreciate. Wish I could have her again for all of my Bio classes.... I think she's funny too
Is without hesitation the absolute WORST professor I have ever had. She's a wretched lecturer. In the course of my education, I've taken many classes and she stands out as being horrendously bad. He ruined this class for me.

By far one of my favorite professors!! Mrs. Goffe is a great teacher, she is always there to answer any question and is very very detailed when it comes to explaining the material! She isn't an easy teacher, but if you study and attend her class regularly you will be golden! i highly recommend this teacher.
I am far from a lazy student, I took her twice thinking it would be easier with her the second time.WRONG. Shes corny, she tells the worst jokes and it seems like the stuff she says during lecture aren't even on her quizes. Better off taking someone else.
Don't understand the bad ratings, the class is hard and she is excellent at teaching it. She knows the inside out of the class and if you need help ask for it and she's more than willing to. Definitely disagree with the bad ratings. She is fast paced but easy to keep up if you contribute your own hard work. We're college students expect that.

This is the 2nd time I have had Prof Goffe (different classes). Honestly, she is not for the typical CCRI student (lazy kid spending mom and dad's money) who expects to be able to give minimal effort. However, if you are mature and hardworking, and willing to put in the extra work, then she is an excellent professor. Anatomy isn't easy with anyone.
Professor Goffe is a horrible teacher. She is painfully not funny & should probably spend less time making corny jokes & focus on her teaching. Her lecture notes are not on the quizzes no matter what she tells you. Don't waste your time or money on her. She is a joke herself.
Professor Goffe is by far the WORST professor I have ever had. EVER. Nothing she makes you study is ever on her quizzes or exams. She is absolutely useless. If you ask her a question she does not answer your question she gives you a complete opposite answer. She's the worst person I have ever had in my life. And she does read these and I'm glad.
i took anatomy twice with her. the first time it was my freshmen year and i failed because i was to overwhelmed and i had poor study habits, im an average C student and im currently taking her class again now and i love it, i understand it much better and now that i have a good study habit, the class isnt too hard, its mostly memorizing
I agree with the previous poster. She is difficult to understand and not very helpful to the students in the class. I believe that you need two semesters with her to understand what she goes over. You are much better with a different teacher.
Prof. Goffe was an excellent professor. She was concise, thorough and genuinely cared about the success of her students. She makes herself available to those who need extra help. I highly recommend this professor!
I had a professor that basically administered her course. I would not do it ever again because the lab practcals were rediculous. There were things on them that were never covered and there was no way to know if she was going heavy on one area or not. Basically if you take someone that administers for her you'll be going into the lab pracs blind.
Professor Goffe only seems to care about a select few of her students. If you are not one of these she will not help you or answer your questions. The information on the tests is way different than what she teaches too.
She does not care if the students pass or fail, she just wants to get through the material. If you want someone to actually "teach" you and not just fly through material, then choose a different professor.
People that rated Dr. Goffe poorly, probably didn't put in the required amount of study time necessary for the course. This is a hard class, but it is not impossible! And she makes the class bearable and interesting.A very smart, helpful and funny woman!
Professor Goffe is hands down the best anatomy teacher CCRI chose to employ. She is not easy, learn to study and do the material. However, you will actually walk away knowing the material, which in the long run is what is important. Follow her directions and put the effort and you will succeed. DO NOT WASTE TIME WITH OTHER PROFESSORS!
People love to bad mouth Goffe but let me tell you. This lady knows her stuff and expects you to learn it. And I dont see why you can't. She gives you everything you need to successfully pass her class. She is super super helpful. You have to work hard very hard,regardless with who you take anatomy with. I really enjoyed her class. :)
Mrs. Goff is a bad teacher. She spends more time making corny jokes than she does teaching the class and you will not learn anything which is the real point of the class.
The class is very difficult and she is confused as she teaches. She makes you use her own book which is also confusing and poorly written.

Yes, you'll have to actually show up for class and pay attention.There is a great deal of material to cover in a limited amount of time. There are office hours and extra lab time if you need help. Professor Goffe is an AMAZING teacher!! She goes completely out of her way to help the students WHO WANT TO BE HELPED! Her class is extremely difficult but if you put in the time and effort it is passable. She went above and beyond to help me.... We need more teachers like her!!!
Prof Goffe is a wonderful instructor. I have 2 advanced degrees and decided to become a nurse. She is, without doubt, one of the brightest instructors I have ever had. She is enthusiastic, articulate, helpful and knowledgeable. I believe Anatomy is a 'weed out' class. If you are not a committed and dedicated student, stick to remedial classes.

Yes the class is hard, no doubt about that however professor Goffe made the class much more bearable. The book is only used for the homework, however the powerpoints and lab atlas are your bible. Test questions come straight from the notes, multiple choice with some short answers. Lab practicles have no word bank but study a lot and you'll do fine.
Goffe is an awesome anatomy instructor. She keeps class interesing and is always helpful in lab. Make sure you tun all of your work in on time though!

Dr. Goffe has a real knack at teaching deep subjects by making it fun and applicable to everyday life while knowing which areas on which to concentrate in order to facilitate learning
Dr. Goffe was passionate about teaching anatomy. Her tests may be somewhat difficult, but the questions come directly from her lectures. Her style is to get the class involved through asking questions and making practical examples in everyday life. If you have a question, she seems quite happy to help you understand.
Professor Goffe is awesome and hillarious and brilliant! shes not easy, but if you actually STUDY her test are a piece of cake. dont expect an easy a, WORK FOR IT. she is amazing and if i could have her again i would!

I took this class while also taking physiology and found that this professor speaks loudly and clearly and as long as you're giving her your full attention, the information is easy to follow. If you show her you're willing to work for it, she'll do her best to help you out. Would definitely take again
Anatomy is a tough subject. Prof Goffe tries to make it as easy as she can. If you go to lecture, pay attention, and do what she tells you to do you will be successful. On the first day she will pass out histological roots, my best advice is learn them it is totally worth your time. She is fair and her test are cut and dry no surprises.
Come to class, read, study and you'll do just fine. Not the easiest class, but she's VERY helpful. Would take again.

I took Human Anatomy once before and had to drop it, thinking I would never pass. Professor Goffe changed my mind entirely. She is extremely helpful and will go to the best of her ability to get you that good grade. Her powerpoints and tests are on point from each other. As long as you make plenty of time for studying, you'll definitely pass.
Be ready to read. Contrary to what the others say the reading assignments are important, and force you to study. Goffe is a good teacher but definitely needs to rework her class. Having said that, think about whether you really want to do it BEFORE you enter this class. Oh and don't forget the structure function dance.
Professor teaches the class at a very fast pace, all over the place and confusing. She is a know it all, and thinks she is funny, she is not! She teaches as if you already know the material. Extremely tough grader, walks around the room to make sure you're not cheating on tests like your in highschool. I would not take her class, aweful professor!
I LOVE Prof Goffe. She was really helpful to me all semester and gave amazing lectures. I only had class once a week, so I made sure to go to every lecture. If I didn't, I know I wouldn't have passed. The textbook is really important, and you need to make sure you do all the readings or you won't pass. But she drops lowest 3 reading assignments.
Teacher is very difficult. Lecture is rushed and confusing everything is all over the place theres a test every week and its difficult to study on your own when shes confusing. Im literally failing !! Her test are half multiple other half short answer with extreme detail or its wrong. I regret taking this class !!!!!!!!
Eylana is a good teacher, she's fair and actually cares about her students. Her criteria includes plenty of quizes and text assignments which are beneficial because it forces you to study. Her lectures are clear, concise, organized and funny. On the other hand: beware!! Anatomy requires a TON of time studying so don't expect an easy A.
Anatomy is very hard but this professor seems to do everything she can to make it easier for students. Her grading is kind of tough but she does really go above and beyond with teaching. She wants her students to succeed. Lecture isn't mandatory but I wouldn't skip on it because she does a lot in her lectures to teach the subject. Great teacher.
She's the best science teacher at CCRI. I had her in the fall. She's great, she said, "bring a recording device" once I did, my grade went from B's to A's.... She's a good woman. Just apply yourself and you will succeed!
Professor Goffe is one of the BEST professors I've ever had! She totally knows her stuff backward, forwards and upside down. Anatomy is VAST and INTENSE. There are no shortcuts! Study, study and study some more and you'll do well. She's totally accessible but won't hold your hand. She's a great lecturer and truly hilarious!

I took anatomy with her my first semester at CCRI and she is the best!!! It is a tough class and I would follow her advice. LECTURE OBJECTIVES helped me study. She talks alittle fast and tries to cover a lot in lectures but shes so funny and helpful. Stay on top of assignments and study hard, but overall shes the best
I have taken Anatomy twice with her and she is absolutely AMAZING! It is a hard class but she will always find a way to connect to her students and make them laugh. The lectures are very compacted and carry a lot of information but, if you listen to her advice she will be your resource to pass as long as you are willing to put in the work.
Throughout the anatomy class, Mrs. Goffe always encouraged students to keep studying and to work hard. Its no kidding when she says that hard work pays off, and its true this class is very difficult. She kinda talks fast which is maybe why I failed it the first time. Overall though, she was a great teacher but also a hard grader.
super nice. but very hard with grading. she makes lab torcher, and lecture is just hard to understand, she doesn't dumb anything down for you so learn those zoological roots. she isn't very helpful with grades either. I was passing her class and she asked me in front of a bunch of people if I wanted to withdraw failing. I was so embarrassed.
Prof. Goffe is a nice person, however she is a very tough grader and expects you to catch on to everything immediately the first time she says it. If you dont understand something.. ASK immediately!! Learn your zoological roots, I didnt and it made the class very tough. Dont get behind in any area of lab or lecture.. it will impact your success
Goes over things slightly, expects you to know it off hand, grading system is awful! Know your work, know your root words, seems to give test on things she didnt discuss during lecture. Not here to care just to see if you know your stuff!
Professor Goffe is a sweetheart. An absolute gem of a professor at CCRI. I adored her and still do (took her spring class). She never talked down to any of her students, was very respectful explained everything several times as needed and encouraged me an absolute introvert to participate in class. I was sad her hilarious, well explained classes

I dont have many words for this professor. She does not give out extra credit, even though you are willing to put in the extra work. She also does not give you enough time to complete an exam (which in my eyes, is wrong). I am very disappointed and unhappy with her class/teaching style. (Awful) I would not recommend her.
Fantastic Professor! Must study, when she says 16 hours a week, shes not joking. But an A is possible, wish she gave slightly more time on lecture exams, but if you study and shoot high this class is fun AF

TAKE HER! Pleasant & gifted in explaining concepts. Many assignments, but -redos allowed, reinforces material, & lessens weight of exams (which are very fair). Plenty of extra credit opportunities & additional study resources. TAKE ADVANTAGE OF IT ALL. It will make a difference. Also recommend dynamic study modules to really drill in information.
Prof Goffe was amazing! She made lectures very easy to understand. Although attendance isnt graded you MUST go to class to learn. There is a lot of information gone over that isnt directly written in the lectures. Hard work and studying will pay off for this class!
This professor it seems does not remotely invest in her students until mid semester when half of them drop/ or fail out of the course. Professor will make exams on 1-2 chapters of the unit out of 5 chapters. Certain lecture slides are irrelevant and do NOT include visuals or pictures. This professor is not approachable. Be very cautious taking her
If you can still drop this professor I would! Exams are on 5 chapters but only picks 1-2 for most of it. The learning objectives are not helpful because it is just the chapter reviews. Does not narrow down material needed! A ton of assignments due that take a lot of time. Is not approachable when asking for help.. 10/10 would not recommend. :)
Assignments are always given with clear instructions, extra credit is always offered and she offers virtual meeting hours 3 times a week if you ever need help. She is very helpful and nice. i would definitely recommend her course if you need to take bio 1070
Her lectures are funny but her grading is terrible. Difficult class and when asked for help just tells us to study as if you arent doing that and does not offer extra credit even when willing to stay after class for extra help. Her exams are 50% of grade so if fail exams you fail the course. I recommend not take her as she makes you take 7 exams.
Professor Goffe is a very good professor. I took her online course, and she has incredibly detailed lectures that you MUST watch if you really want to understand the material!! She is so funny and willing to help you with any questions. The exams are difficult, and she doesn't offer extra credit so if you are taking this, remember to study.

She's a very fair professor! As long as you do your prep work pre-class, and dedicate time to studying, she very willing to work with you to get the most out of the class, and you'll learn a lot during lecture. Love her very hands on/ interactive labs! Would take her class again.
This was the hardest class I have taken. She does a good job at explaining in lectures but there is so much material and she is unforgiving with mistakes, even with spelling. She wants very specific answers and will take points off for small mistakes.
