Guy knows his stuff,& makes class interesting &fun. You'll have to take REALLY good notes cause he don't use the book(don't buy it),but he writes every word on the board. Tests are essay style questions,& must regurgitate your notes exactly word for word.

He claims he's the sexiest man alive lol. He's very funny and you must take good notes or else you won't even get a B on the exam. cheating is allowed but just don't get caught.

Boring and unfair in exam. Professor wants students to memorize word for word of his lecture. If you miss a word, points are deducted. That's stupid because memorizing is not learning. I forgot everything I had to remember for midterm/finals two years ago. Horrible.

take very good notes, he echoes during his lecture so there should be no problem. there was no midterm and only a final bluebook exam. exam essay questions are based on classroom lecture notes-ask questions and participate because he wants that. sit in the front and make sure he knows your name. do not buy the textbook because you will not use it.

If you can understand what he is saying then that is a plus. Make sure you don't sit in the front b/c you will notice that he spits constantly while talking. Everyone I talked to got a C for the class. Whatever you do don't take this course in the summer b/c he does not give breaks and we were sitting in the Grossnickle for 2 1/2- 3 1/2 hours sweating like pigs.

Took this class over the summer. Really nice guy. He is not out to fail anyone. Just take good notes.You will have no problems passing. If you have a problem speak to him and he will try to help you.

Just take good notes it's every easy to cheat in his class but in the exam u have to write word to word what he says. Be a fast writter. Don't sit in the front. I passed it with an A-. He is very boring....

Just take good notes, if you are not a good note taker find a friend who is. His exams are right from your notes, and he wants it word for word from his notes. You do not need a book for this class. If you took good notes and studied them it will be easy for the exam. Accent but you can understand him. Hint: exam sit at the back so you can cheat.

He knows economics inside and out. Teaches straight from knowledge. His way of teaching is much more informative and understanding then purchasing another over priced book. PLEASE, a word of warning TAKE EXCELLENT NOTES.... Other than that great professor and class.

This is a class that allows the student to take full grasp of the subject matter at hand, and not just teaching you everything by and in the book. Prof. made sure that concept is understood by everyone. Though his method is uncommon, it worked pretty well.

keep far far away from this guy. he does not teach from the book but rather uses his notes from 1963 to teach. good luck figuring out what ur grade is gunna be b/c all u have is the midterm and final to go by. my advice is to take econmics class online...it is far too boring to sit through class after class.

Prof. Ghebrat is very intelligent, he is one of the best professor at njcu. and he really knows what he is talking about.he is very clear in giving notes and what's gonna be on the test.He will repeat and re-explain until everything is well understood.i strongly suggest him. One of the best proffesor I've ever taken because he is a very intelligent and helpful professor. He explains everything clearly so you are able to get a good grade on his test, as long as you take very good notes and attend class. When you leave the class you are guaranteed to leave with knowlege about the Micro Econmics

I strongly reccomend this professor!! He is very clear,and patient in explainig the material needed to be learned, he is willing to help you learn & understand. Just do what he say's, "you meet him half way and he will take care of the rest." Make sure to take really good notes! you do all this and there is no way you won't pass his class!!!!

Spring 06. Brillant Professor with Diversified Teaching Methods and I Absolutely loved his class. He provides every opportunity for you to catch-on and I believe that Harvard University has groomed his teaching ability because he is just that good! I have studied Harvard.

Like one of the other comments say anybody is better than taking Steinberg and this professor clearly illustrates economics in a more understandalbe way. There is alot of notes but its well worth it because you learn and get ur money worth. Highly Recommended to take over Steinberg.

he is one of the horrible economics professor. I didn't like his class. i think he should retire. He really doesn't give that much help to students. ONLY 2 EXAMS. IF U FAIL ONE HOW U WILL PASS THE SECOND ONE. DON'T TAKE HIS CLASS OR ELSE YOU WILL SUFFER AND DO EXTRA EXTRA HARD WORK. i don't know y everybody say oh he is nice. i hated dat profes.

An outstanding Professor, because it does not get any better than he. It is easy to understand because he will repeat so that you get the idea. Help? He gives plenty in class. This Prof. made learning enjoyable, as learning comes with ease per his skill at education. I am motivated and ready for Grad. School because of him.

overall, he is a good professor. He gives u plenty of notes but u have to memorize all of them in order to get a good grade on his exams. He gave everybody a chance to get an A. I really like his class. you have to work hard that's all. i think u have to work hard for every class if u want to get an A.

I have had this professor for a few classes and i think he is great. He gives a lot fo notes, but always repeats to make sure everyone has all the notes written down. As long as you take good notes you will do just fine in his class. He is a very intelligent guy and probably one of the smartest people i know. You should definitely take his class!

You will hardly find a professor like Professor Ghebrat. His method of teaching gives all students the opportunity to get a grade A in class. Just take good notes, understand the material and you will leave his classroom knowing a whole lot, more than when you entered!

shoot, anybody is better than STIENBERG. but for real. he is a wonderful professor. actually wants to see all of his students to succeed and pass the course. although, he gives tons and tons of notes. he doesnt take attendence either. he teaches the same thing over and over each year. u can basically just gets notes from last semester. Good teacher. However teaches students as though they were still in high school with the hold-you-by-the-hand method. That means everything on the test has to be word for word. Not difficult, just plenty to remember.

I don't know y everybody say this professor is easy. in his exams u can't write anything in ur own words. this professor is horrible, avoid him at any cost. i think steinberg is better than him. he teaches the same thing every year, so then wat's the difference between micro and macro economics. also, when u ask him questions he really gets mad.

Learn nothing about economics. No attendance, But if you miss class you will miss notes. Repeats himself every class and goes over the same thing all the time. Exams are straight from his notes. And your grade counts from 2 things, a midterm(40%) and a final(60%). Oh and his notes are all graphs. Everything on the Exams are too. DON'T BUY TEXTBOOK

Professor Ghebrat is commited to the welfare of his students. At the beginning of each class he reviews what was taught previously and makes sure no student is left behind. Attending class is extremely important if you wish to earn an A, however. He is a genius in his field and must-take for anyone considering a career in economics. -- A+

Great Guy, Horrible professor, took the entire semester to cover one chapter, took an entire class to show how to make graphs, doesn't follow the book or the syllabus. Teaches like we are in pre-K learned absolutely anything. Takes points off if you don't oversimplify concepts in exams. Stay away from him if you actually want to learn something!

He is a nice funny guy. Do not buy textbook it is not use in his class. You must take a lot of notes which are very important for the two exams. Your grades depend on those two examples and they can be very hard because you have to study a lot of pages. Attendance not mandatory but if you miss class you will miss notes. If you take him just study.

How to get an A in Dr. Ghebrat's class: Commit yourself to show up to every class, take good notes, REVIEW notes outside of class, dont understand last class' notes? Ask him questions as he begins class w. last class' notes anyway. Consistent exposure to notes is key! He wants u to do well. I got an A and I'm no genius. Why can't you?

It is just 2 weeks left of school and we just started on chapter 3. I have no idea if the class even finished chapter 3 in last class cuz I was so suicidally bored in his class I couldnt take it no more and walked out. He's a good teacher. U have to get into many details in his exams but I was so bored and uncomfortable in his class I coudnt bare!!

1st of all, DON'T buy a textbook.His exams (which are only 2 [midterm and final]) are from "his notes."On the exams, there was only 2 questions (on the final, 3) & it made it hard to fail.He's horrible & embarrassed students.DROP him if your enrolled, or withdraw if its too late.My GPA dropped thanks to him & I swear Im an A+ student.Stay far away

Dr. Ghebrat is a fantastic professor. His detail-oriented method of teaching enables students to successfully and thoroughly understand the discussed material. I learnt very little from this class, only touches four chapters out of the whole syllabus, short tempered and loses it when we ask him questions or make a small mistake. Two exams, they are two essays. His questioning style is complex. He dictates notes. Don't buy the book.

Take him if you are looking to give your GPA a boost. That's about the only good thing I can say about this class. You learn very little and if you are pursuing a career in economics, STAY AWAY. The material learned in this class WILL NOT help you in graduate school.

this was the best experience for me this semester. he is very helpful and makes everything very easy. you have to study for the midterm and final and if you don't you will end up getting a D. he doesn't really fail anyone unless you put in 0 effort in his class. there is no hw or test. just one final and midterm. MANY NOTES. Best Prof Ever!

He is a fair grader! We did not use a book at all everything was straight from his notes. There are Lots of notes! No papers or homework just a midterm & final. Definitely have to study your notes for those. As long as youre trying he will pass you! BTW if you fool around in class he has no problem calling you out& putting people on the spot.

The best professor I've taken so far. I took him for both Macro and Microeconomics. He is a fair professor as long as you attend class, take notes and study. The exams can be hard if you do not take accurate notes. Overall, Professor Ghebrat is an excellent instructor.

Great class! Take all your notes and you will be fine. He counts attendance as a major part of the grade, so please assist every class as it is also really helpful in course content. Easy-going and friendly professor, has a sense of humor. All you take is a mid-term, and final. No homework, no quizzes, no presentations. Definitely recommend it :)
