Bro. Gwilliam is one of the best professors I've ever had!! He is so fun and easy to talk to. You will get so much more from participating in discussions. I would definitely take another class taught by him again!

Brother Gwilliams creates a great environment in his classroom that generates true discussion about hard subject matters. He's great about answering students questions and cares about every individual in his class. It's easy to get an A, and you'll have a fun time learning as well!

Best religion professor I had. Very personable and really connects well with his students. Doesn't feel condescending like some professors, really humble. Leads great discussions, and ties in personal applications to help his students. His class makes me want to be a better person. He does daily quizzes to just report that you were in class.

He doesn't give you a lot of homework and the prep readings are always to the point and uplifting. I love that you leave his class feeling the spirit not stressed about grades or feeling condemned.

Brother Gwilliam has a real passion for the Gospel and his family. He always loves discussing gospel topics. I would take as many religion classes from him as possible. He really inspires students to better prepare for a family.

He is extremely caring about his students and puts in the effort to have great information to discuss. Although he is great, he does talk a lot and doesn't allow for students to enter the discussion as much. Assignments are confusing because it is often unclear when an assignment is due and if it is even due at all.

Brother Gwilliam's classes are really insightful and I feel like I took more away from his class than I have other classes. He doesn't shy away from any topics and gives really good answers to questions. Can't recommend him enough. It is often hard to know when things are due, so stay on top of online assignments.

Super inspirational. This is the 3rd time I have had him as a professor and he's by far my favorite! He tackles tough topics and is super inspirational. Hilarious, keeps classes super fun and engaging. Homework is pretty light, just a daily quiz saying you did the reading, and occasional short write ups on talks. Easy grade but you will learn a ton

Super funny and entertaining teacher. Your grade is pretty much based off of attendance. You have to turn in a notecard every class with a quote and an idea you got from class. The class was pretty backend heavy. There were a few papers scattered throughout the semester but there were a handful of papers and projects at the end of the semester.

Brother Gwilliam is a very nice teacher. There were attendance quizzes, but your grade really depends on like 3 assignments. Two papers and one video. He is a very easy grader. Just try to pass and you will.

Great professor! Part way through the semester he realized the readings were getting a bit heavy and he made some adjustments. Eternal families covers some interesting and sensitive topics and he handles them well.

Bro G is seriously the best! He doesn't believe in busy-work, so if you do the reading before class and show up, you'll pass no problem. He is the kindest teacher and seriously cares about each student. 10/10 would recommend.

I seriously loved brother Gwilliams class. He was so awesome and fun to listen to. I read his assignments like a handful of times just because there was so much reading that I never got around to doing it, but its not a huge part of the grade so i still pulled off an A- He always left the class bearing his testimony or saying something spiritual.

Brilliant in every way. He is personable, helpful and always available. His lectures are engaging, informative and interesting. I wouldn't hesitate to take every religion class from him.

Brother Gwilliam is a good professor, he is very energetic and lively and is caring and inspirational. There was one main issue I felt with the class. Because of COVID, some can go to class, some are on zoom, but you cannot hear any of the students in the class when they talk, you can hear Brother Gwilliam just fine usually. Not a bad choice.

Take his classes. Bro. Gwilliam is phenomenal. Aside from being funny, personable, and kind, his lectures are inspiring, his knowledge incredible, and he brings the Spirit into every lesson. The coursework is light so you can focus on reading, and you are graded more on sharing your thoughts then on exams. The balance of work and reading is spot on

Gwilliam is the man. He worked as an EFY director & teacher and brings that same energy in class. He teaches out of the scriptures, and makes it engaging. He's also hilarious--he had a semester-long goal to set me up with the girl I sat next to. When she missed a class he told me to bring her my notes and hot chocolate and "return & report". Legend

I genuinely enjoyed his class. the discussions were truly meaningful, and he was always ready to work with students as far as homework and other class requirements. The workload was very light, and I thought the class was great overall. I would love to have him as a teacher again.

So far, one of my favorite professors at BYU Idaho! Very engaging lectures, fun guy, just loves and respects everyone. Daily reading assignments before lecture, and a quiz after each class meeting. There are a few papers that he assigns, but he makes them easy. Attendance is required by the department, so every religion professor will require it.

Not much to say that hasn't been said about Brother Gwilliam. He's awesome. I took him because of his RMP score and I don't regret it at all! Very loving, caring, and spiritual. We didn't have too much homework; we just read a few things and had 1-2 assignments per week.

Brother Gwilliam is awesome! He is one of the most caring professors you will ever meet. He is also very funny too! I was in his college success class and it was an easy A+ as long as you did the quiz and the short answer weekly assignment. The quizzes are also open book, at home quizzes, and are very easy as long as you have the book nearby.

He's an amazing lecturer. Very engaging, and absolutely hilarious. You can tell he cares about his students. He doesn't sugar coat the hard parts of the gospel and gives it to you straight, but helps give you insight to explain why the church did the things they did. Covered hard topics like polygamy and black people and the priesthood wonderfully.

This is an amazing teacher. I 100% will take this teacher again if I get the chance. The class was at 7:45am, and I am not a morning person, but I didn't miss a single class because I didn't want to miss anything that he taught. He genuinely cares about his students and the grades are a reflection of that. Love this teacher and this class!

Brother Gwilliam is the best religion teacher I've taken at BYUI. His lectures are very animated and he is so engaging, even in the earlier classes. He really cares about his students and wants you to love coming to his class, not worry about passing it. And he is hilarious!

He is very kind (maybe because he is Canadian). He may have random bursts where he seems like he is being rude or condescending, but not too often and I don't think he means it. His lectures are great and he really cares about you falling in love with the gospel more than anything. Grades were never an issue.

Brother Gwilliam is an excellent teacher I really enjoyed taking his class. As far as assignments go he simply asked us to read the Book of Mormon everyday and then we had 3 short assignments throughout the semester. His insights were very interesting and you get the sense that he genuinely cares. Really enjoyed taking his class!

Reading is easy, assignments are easy, take notes in class. He did a great job with every lesson and was involved with the students. There are 3 1 page unit papers, and a few "research" assignments where you talk to single people and married people but they're super easy. It is an easy religion class, but it was very inspirational.

In my top 5 favorite professors of all time! Truly loves and cares for all his students. I learned a lot in both courses I took from him (Prep for eternal marriage & New Testament). He is really passionate about the gospel. Doesn't believe in meaningless homework so there are very few assignments. 10/10 would recommend to anyone and everyone!

Memorized over 40 students names in a week. He is very funny and can be very spiritual. Great lessons. My testimony increased taking his course.

He requires only 3 assignments for the entire semester along with easy attendance quizzes that take maximum 1 minute. I felt like he made an effort to connect with each student. Brother Gwilliam is fantastic. He cares about each of his students and gives incredible lectures. I learned so much about the Old Testament from him! He grades you upon attendance and reading completion, as well as 3 or 4 short assignments. I couldn't recommend this class more highly.

He doesn't believe in HW. There were attendance quizzes stating that we went to class and did the reading. A few assignments that took little time. He reminded me of Hank Smith-very humorous. He takes the time to learn all his students' names. He loves the material and has a deep desire for us all to strengthen our faith in Christ. Would recommend

super great and funny teacher from Canada. he is funny. sometimes I have no idea what is going on in class but you still learn something you didn't know. If you try on all the assignments you will do fine and it's super easy no stress. just show up and be there. he's great definitely recommend.

He wants to know each of his students by name and connect with them to help them understand controversial and faith trying debates and topics that arise in our day. He is a very performative person and he yells a lot, but only out of passion for the topic. This class is great if you really want to learn more about Isaiah. He is highly knowledgeable and his hw is reasonable. He did give me a headache though.

Bro. Gwilliam is easily my favorite professor on campus. He loves what he does, and he knows what he's talking about. He requires very little homework, only daily attendance quizzes, super simple. He wants to get to know you and works hard to create a relationship with you. Has completely changed my worldviews for the better.

Br. Gwilliam is awesome! Most of this class was just lectures with minimal assignments. Readings were super short, but if you choose, you can REALLY engage with them. There were only a couple of loose essays. Lectures had the best whiplash ever. One minute you'll be laughing so hard you'll cry, and two seconds later they'll be spiritual! So great!

I love Brother Gwilliam. He really knows what he is talking about, and he is really fun to listen to. It feels like he really cares about all of us, and I looked forward to his class. I learned so much in this class, and I wish I could be in his class forever.

Funniest man I've ever met, he should do comedy. No HW except a few assignments, easy A. I've never listened more intently in a class than this one. Took this class just to fill credits at first, but learned so much from him. Truly inspirational.

Brother Gwilliam is so nice. His class is interesting and easy. We had maybe 3 actual assignments all semester and we did them all in class, the only other thing you have to do is an attendance quiz and it is nothing. Super easy and fun! While attendance is technically mandatory, you can miss class up to 5 times without failing.

Brother Gwilliam is the best professor at this university. I've taken many religion classes from him and always come out a better person, student, and disciple of Christ. He truly cares about each student and the topics he is teaching. I recommend him to EVERYONE!

Attendance does matter and there is an attendance quiz after every class worth 15 points, so if you want to pass, you need to show up. You are also graded by few things! Highly recommed!!
