Chances are he'll give you an 7/10 on an simple project that was supposed to be an easy way to get points and his exams are IMPOSSIBLE. Have fun hucking your laptop across the room because you studied so hard for an exam and still failed. He does not curve or sympathize at all.

You absolutely need to pay attention during lecture for this class, because there is so little other material to help you learn the content. I'm convinced that if I wasn't half asleep for the 8AM lectures I would've been totally fine. 50% of grade is 3 exams and 50% is homework (completion) and in class questions (accuracy).

This is by far the worst professor I have had in my college career. Professor Comana is a smart guy and clearly knows his field very well, however, he does not teach it well. He has TA's to help him out but they really do not help at all. His lectures are a you listen and try not to fall asleep. Tests are riddled with trick questions.

Honestly Fabio is just not the professor for me his lectures were overly confusing and he just talks about himself and how knowledgeable he is instead of trying to teach us. Studying so much for the exams but still barley passing and he doesnt seem to care. Went to his office hours bc I was confused and he just yelled at me for not understanding

Fabio is an awesome guy. His lectures are pretty heavy and the PowerPoints he uses are a bit overwhelming to look at with so much info on each slide. His exams are tough but if you use the study guide he gives out and review the material they aren't bad. The Tophat work is easy and helps your grade ALOT if you struggle with the exams.

Fabio is an expert in his field, but not the best at teaching. He will talk through lecture like he is reading a script, without stopping to answer questions. GO TO OFFICE HOURS. His is explanations are more catered to your level of understanding. Focus on exam 2 its historically hard! Get 100% on TopHat its easy points and will carry your grade.

Professor Comana seems to push his agenda onto his students. Get ready to be an innovator even if that is not your strong suite. He is also a very strict grader; he is looking for something specific, but you will not know what it is until you see him in person.

ENS 433, 340L and 434 all have group projects with ENS 340L and 434 having 2. I cannot stress this enough but go to his office hours! He is looking for specific things and will tell you what needs to be fixed. Even if your group isn't helpful, save your grade and go! Also take notes directly on PPT to use for exams! It's the best way to do it.

I have taken multiple classes with Fabio, and both of them were awful. He makes his classes so much harder than they need to be. You shouldn't be able to fail exams or group projects, especially if they're open note. It's unfortunate because no one else teaches the course, but be prepared to shed a lot of tears.

I have taken Fabio two semesters now. His exams are ridiculous and difficult. His slides are overwhelming and goes on about subjects that he will not test on. Making it difficult for students to focus on important concepts. He makes this class harder than it should which causes the students to loose interest. SDSU should offer more ENS professors.

TAKE YOUR 2 GROUP PROJECTS TO SEE COMANA (NOT HIS T.A.) DURING HIS OFFICE HOURS FOR APPROVAL. These are 2 test grades and he only gives A's to those who run things by him. Make sure to turn in Tophat hw on time, it boosts your grade. The 3 hard exams aren't monitored, 25 questions w/ 45 min to complete, and none of them can be looked up online.

His 3 difficult exams are 25 questions, 60 mins, not monitored, but none can be looked up online so they require a lot of studying. His tests don't test you on if you know the material, but rather on if you are a good test taker (I aced human physio). No group projects. Easy Tophat questions really help. He literally wrote the book in this class.

Best teacher I had at SDSU. TopHat saves your grade, easy points so don't miss them. Exams are hard but you should be good if you study /know where to find info during exams (open notes). Go to office hours for the projects, you will obviously get a better grade on the project if you receive feedback from him. Class is interesting and he inspires

His class is pretty difficult. Your grade is based on only a few exams and projects. Exams are ridiculously hard despite being open book and the projects are graded super harsh even after putting in all the work. All of his module lecture slides are anywhere from 40 to 60 plus slides so it is hard to focus on what is important.

His lecture slides for each module are very long, some reaching 60+ slides in length, making it very difficult to know what is important, what is not. Exams are probably the most difficult exams I have ever took despite being open book/notes. Projects are graded harshly -> it seems near impossible to get even a low B grade.

Never studied but just knew where to find information.

For someone teaching a class on how to properly coach/communicate with a client & with all the certifications he has, he seemed to have forgot that in the real world you need clear & concise information that is not confusing and difficult to process. His lecture slides for just 1 module are sometimes 60+ slides in length, all packed with info.

Fabio Comana is the mastermind in ENS. He has designed the coursework and material in half of the department. Use this to your advantage, as he offers extensive career advising during his office hours that is extremely valuable. He's an intellectual and his courses are no walk in the park, but if you take them seriously you will succeed.

Fabio was an awesome professor. Had him every semester being at SDSU. Always so easy to talk to, cared a lot on finding ways to help you understand materials we learned, and always took his time to address my concerns or late work. TopHat helps your grade a lot and he's pretty big on that. Group project during the semester was stressful.
