Very hard to understand,and never replies to emails or questions.The quizes are ok if you read before class and can interpret what he's asking.Does not clarify anything he teaches even the final exam! I would take someone else if possible.

This professor does not know anything about art! All he does is reads straight from the book, and cant even get it right half the time from just reading the stuff. The questions on his pop quizes are so ridiculous. I made an A on every test, midterm, final, and presentation- but because of the quizes I had like an 89.99. I got a B.

Attendance is not mandatory but he calls random role. I made a B on everything in the class, midterm, final and quizzes and an A on the project and got 5 points extra credit and somehow got a C. I am pretty sure he messed up my grade. The class is boring and he doesn't understand english very well. Group project is a easy 100 if you just do it.

Dont take this course. You learn nothing. I received As on everything, missed no quizzes and this class was my ONLY B. Also, he does not respond to emails. He is unclear and I learned nothing in the course of the year.

He is very hard to understand bc of his accent, and does not know a lot about the pieces of art. He loves when people ask questions, and read when he tells you to read. follow the rubric!

If you are a good reader, you'll succeed in this class. It's very hard to learn from lectures due to his accent. He's a nice guy but his lectures are dry and very hard to follow. If I didn't read, I would have learned nothing.

Awful, awful, awful. I made an A on every assignment in his class, and his test was somewhat easy if you studied. BUT he gives quizzes that are only three questions and if you do poorly on those, it will significantly bring down your grade. You are guaranteed no A unless you do well on those. And theyre super particular.

Hardest because it was a horrible class . His lectures don't make sense. He makes students present the chapters read for homework. This is the first time I have questioned a person earning a doctorate. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS IF YOU HAVE OTHER OPTIONS. He is a nice man but should never have been allowed to even interview for a teaching position.

He's a really nice guy, he just has no idea what he's doing. His exams are based on random sentences in the textbook, so read EVERYTHING. Don't bother listening to his "lectures" they're just random stories or he'll read out of the book. Presentations are easy, but there can be pop quizzes. The hardest part of his class is trying not to fall asleep

He seems like a really nice person, but in the end he's an awful teacher. By the end of the semester, we had done about four assignments and a midterm and he only gave us our midterm grade. I asked him my grade a week before our final and he said he didn't know our grades. Overall, don't take this class. Nice guy, frustrating class.

Dr. Mshana is very difficult to understand most of the time. He prefers to teach in a low light setting, which makes it difficult for students to see the information he scribbles onto the dimly lit black chalk bords. He gives random pop quizzes, and randomly takes attendance. Tests are based on book!! Not lectures!!!

Lectures basically consist of him reading from the book, but attendance is mandatory. You don't really need to do the reading until he gives you the study guide. There are only 2 tests and not a lot of other assignments. He has a very strong accent and is hard to understand. He asks you direct questions, but he's okay if you say you don't know.

He doesn't teach or use D2L. He is hard to contact. Doesn't put due dates on assignments. Overall worst college professor I've ever had. Don't take this class

This class was super challenging- It is especially hard to understand this professor. Lectures were long PowerPoints and attendance was mandatory. He didn't know how to use D2l & poorly responded to emails. Pop quizzes were expected almost weekly- make sure to read the materials. Only way I made an A was through online classes. Thanks corona!

Mshana lacks clear communication in some cases but excels in others. He is disengaged in online classes. You don't really have to do any of the reading since the quizzes are open-book. Discussion posts are almost guaranteed 100% if you submit them on time. I haven't learned a thing in this class, but it checks the credit & isn't too time-consuming

This man never knows what is going on. He is impossible to talk to and doesn't understand when you try to clarify things. It is impossible to respect him because on top of being clueless he is also rude. He is late to class every day. This class is not hard, but he makes it miserable.

Look. He is a nice guy. I enjoy some of his jokes and there are bright moments. But alllll of that goes away when it comes down to him as a teacher. There is no rhyme or reason to anything we do. Our tests and quizzes are snippets of random information from a dense textbook. Actually laughed in our faces. Do not take.

Ive never had a professor more arrogant and disrespectful in my life. He expects an insane amount of dedication from his students, but doesnt even show a sample of the same dedication towards his profession. We had to complain multiple times to the university to get the class average to be above a 50. Dont know how I passed. Dont take it.

I do not recommend this professor at all. I didnt learn anything and there are very few grades. I failed both the midterm and the final, and I studied extremely hard for both of them. We were also told wed get a study guide for the final and we didnt receive one, even with a study guide on the midterm I still failed. Dont take a class with him.

Avoid him at all costs. His "lectures" were straight out of the textbook that we were supposed to read for homework and most of the time he didn't even know the material he was teaching. The midterm & final are impossible to pass because he doesn't teach anything, practically the entire class failed his final and he didn't curve it. Avoid him!!!

Worst professor Ive ever had. He doesnt care about your grade in the class and will not be helpful to anything you need. I have never had to put in more effort into such an easy class, all because he does NOT teach. You miss one class over the limit, and he drops your grade a letter with no care, even if you made all As in the class. Do not take

If you can avoid taking this class I would. While Professor Mshana is a nice man, his class is awful. He reads straight from the textbook everyday in class. Professor Mshana is very hard to understand, attendance is mandatory, and he is a hard grader. Quizzes and tests are all online, but still confusing. My lowest grade was in this class. One major assignment but no clear rubric or instructions.

Prof. Mshana might genuinely be the worst professor I have ever had. I don't think he even knows his own material as he just reads directly word for word from the textbook. He has a thick accent which is very difficult to understand. The entire class is constantly confused and when asking for clarity he gives vague and drawn-out answers. Terrible!!

Lectures are mandatory but useless. He doesn't use D2L. Assignment instructions are vague, and he offers nothing of substance when you ask for clarification. Tests are ridiculously hard; he literally pulls the most obscure information from the textbook. I have a higher grade in anatomy & physiology than in this class. That should tell you something

If you have the choice, do not take this class. I think he's a great guy but this class was awful. Everyday was so boring. This quizzes were only out of 5 points so it was really easy to fail plus he only tells you what it is over at the last minute. There's only 2 major projects and he gives very vague instructions for them.

One of the worst professors I've ever had. So rude. Assignments are so unclear, but then he gets upset when you don't do things exactly like he wants you to. Calls people out and says rude comments WHILE PRESENTING! super long boring lectures, but don't fall asleep because he'll call you out and ask you a question about the lecture.

This professor is actually terrible. I have never gotten a B in a class in college and I am a pre-med major. He does not speak fluent english and is actually the most scatterbrained, most annoying professor ive ever had. Told students we would get an extra credit project to bring our grades up alot, and changed his mind as soon as W drop was over!

If you have auditory processing issues, AVOID THIS CLASS AT ALL COSTS. If you don't, AVOID THIS CLASS AT ALL COSTS. He is VERY difficult to understand and even more difficult to communicate with. He picks on people for no reason and takes FOREVER to do things. He's terrible at teaching on top of being rude. Worst teacher I've ever had.

most unhelpful teacher ever. rude, hard to understand, and there are few grades to go off of. Final project has no rubric and he still judges harshly. gets mad if you leave his class early but regularily shows up late. does not respect his students.

Not a great teacher, midterm and final are HARD.

DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. there is not enough characters to list everything so I will just talk about one singular experience. My mom died very unexpectedly the weekend before finals and I emailed him letting him know what happened and I still had to go back and take the final. I have a part two explaining more, I couldn't fit it all in here.

this is part two. He made me take it a different way than I had been taking his tests and quizzes the whole semester. He was difficult to communicate with and actually sent me the time and place of the final at 1 am the night before I had to take it. I would HIGHLY recommend taking a course with this professor.

I highly do not recommend anyone to take this class with Dr.Mshana. He is incredibly rude, and extremely hard to communicate with. His one-word responses in his emails when you do try to communicate with him make it extremely difficult to understand anything. He continuously gets angry and makes side comments during presentations.

RUN! SAVE YOURSELF! He has a very strong accent, and he literally just mumbles the whole class about the textbook. It is the most boring class I have ever had to sit through. You have to do 2 presentations throughout the semester, a few papers, and a final. Easy class, but terrible professor.

Do not skip more than the allotted 3 times or he will drop your letter grade, also he teaches by reading off the textbook to you word boy word but you're unable to undersatand him because his accent is so thick. he will randomly crash out on students for asking simple questions due to confusion with the accent barrier. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS

I would highly recommend not taking Professor Mshana. Not only is he extremely difficult to understand, but he is incredibly rude when any question is asked. His emails are usually only one word responses and are very unhelpful. Good luck with his class if you decide to take it!

He is not a good professor. Do not take him. He cannot speak good English and you won't be able to understand him. He grades nothing and everything is on computer. The lectures are pointless to go to but going to class is mandatory.

I think he's a good person, aside from being a teacher. However, he's a horrible teacher who doesn't know what he's doing. Please try to avoid taking him.
