I took her last year and she was funny and she has detailed notes but her test I found to be a bit difficult,,You study all her notes and then get an F on the test. I stuck in there but I still failed. Took it with a diff prof and passed.

Dr. VanClay is extremely fair. You are required to know the material, but she will point out what's not too relevant for you to know. You get typed notes from her, no need to study from the book at all. She gives 5 exams, you can drop the one with the lowest grade. Very nice lady, makes Anatomy (1085) fun! And to top it off, she knows her stuff.

A&P is not an easy subject, but Van Clay is great at teaching it. Her tests are from notes that she hands out and goes over in class. Five test only and she drops the lowest one for the best final grade. We never opened the book in class, but I used it at home to help me understand the material better. Passed with an A and would take her again.

I took Dr. Van Clay for BSC1085 Lecture. Her tests are hard. It's not an easy A like some posters have said, but it is an easy pass. You really have to study her WHOLE packet not just the things she tells you to highlight. She wants to make sure you understand the material and that's the way she tests you. Lectures are very interesting.

great professor..highly reccomended.however i had to wihdraw due t failing the lab(if only she teached the lab portion also) but i will be taking her again next semester shes very clear when it comes to what will be on the test and she also has a sense of humor to make learning much more interesting

Ms. Van Clay was awesome! Teaches the material in simple terms so that you can understand everything. I would recommend her any time. She only gives 5 tests throughout the entire term but do not let that scare you. Just study the notes she gives you and you will be fine. She even gives you hints as to what will be on the tests.

Not an easy A. I worked really hard for a "C". She goes off track during lectures and talks to much about things that aren't relevant. Tests are really tricky. Good teacher, but not easy like some people have said in previous posts.

Prof. Van Clay was a great professor! She gave lots of notes but narrowed everything down to what was needed on the test. Of course your going to have to study its ANATOMY, and lots of studying will pull you with a B or and A. The cumulative final is optional if you do well on the other 4 tests. Professor Van Clay is not easy but you learn ALOT! She by far has been the best teacher i have had for this material. She knows her stuff & gives you great examples to understand everything. She gives you a set of notes for you to study. Her test are very tricky so make sure to study alot! She locks the door at 6:30 on the dot, so don't be late!

Proffessor Van Clay is by far one of the best teachers Bc has!!! Her test are fair and she tells you exactly what to study for! She also prints her own notes out for each chapter and gives them to her students! It was a pleasure to attend her class, she really grasps the attention of her students! I took Dr Van Clay in the fall of 2011 and did not pass her class. My fault cause I didnt study hard enough. In Winter 2012 I took the class again and I definitely wanted to be in her class. I passed with a B. She is an awesome professor. Very knowledgable. Strict on attendance but thats all good. Take this professor if you want to pass.

She is a very good teacher, very funny but at the same time very strict. Specially with Attendance. If you're 1 minute late, you're absent. Don't ever be late for a test, you'll have a big 0.Five (5) tests, one will be dropped. I didn't have to take her final exam. She'll tell you want she wants you to know for test.

Professor seemed very strict, but once you get to know her she is very nice. Spend some time after class to talk to her. She is very knowledgeable and can be very helpful if you want to learn. You have to ask to review your tests. Study and you will pass.If you stick it out, she gives extra credit for the final. Don't be late for tests.

She is a lot more helpful than other A&P professors. An A isn't going to come easy. You must study. Passing her class w/ an A/B is very possible. She is cool. However, strict on test day. If you are late you will not be allowed to take her test.

Don't get me wrong, Professor Van-Clay is a nice professor. She's funny and loves what she does. Her tests are pretty tough. She gives a powerpoint but I feel like she spends more time telling us what is NOT on the test. There is no test review. She drops the lowest test grade. There is material on the test that wasn't in her lecture! YOU MUST READ

Shes an amazing professor! You must go to class every day and pay attention! she pretty much tells you whats on the exam but YOU MUST STUDY & PAY ATTENTION. I probably studied 5-10 hours for each exam. Make note cards on Studyblue life saver. Difficult but very easy to get an A if you study and go to class. Funny, inspirational, knowledgeable!

Professor Van Clay is one of the best instructors I have had in my academic career. BSC 2085 Human Anatomy and Physiology is a challenging class because it covers a vast amount of material. Read your chapters and study. Her tests are fair. She is such a sweet lady with good sense of humor. Don't hesitate to register for her class.

She is a great teacher. The only way you won't pass is if you miss class or don't print out her notes. Her tests come 100% from her notes. You don't even need the book. Just pay attention to what she says will be important to know for the test and you'll do good in her class. Like any class, don't slack off and you'll be okay.

Professor vanclay is a good professor . All of her tests come from these packets that she gives you with information that she wants you to know . She is very nice and funny . Start off strong in the beginning so you wont have to take her cumulative final.
