AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I mean it. Overall grade is best3 out of 4 exams. Her awful accent makes it impossible to understand. Expects you to understand the material after she spent 20 secs on each of her 80 slides that she CRAMS in one class. Test are ridiculously hard. I relied on textbook and bought a study book to teach myself or I would have failed
Pack your bags, turn around, and run far away! probably the worst professor i've ever had. She doesn't teach, she reads from powerpoint, verbatim. She won't explain anything clearly (not to mention her awful accent) and tells you to go find the answer in the book. Was late nearly everyday to her 8 am. there are ONLY tests in this class, THATS IT
Kind and nice - does her best to make the students feel comfortable and makes the course very easy. Her accent was okay though, but you could understand it. If you paid attention in her class you'll be fine. I searched her up and she's very qualified. Responds to emails. She's also accommodating and understanding, has good lectures. Have fun!
The class isn't crazy difficult but she doesn't do a good job of explaining things and usually just jots unreadable notes on the whiteboard if you don't get it. Also has a very thick accent which can make it even harder to have any idea what is going on. The only grades in the class are tests and they are pretty difficult although she drops one.
Worst teacher I've ever had! You can't understand her with her thick accent. She lectures and writes unintelligible words on board. Over half the class failed the last 2 tests and she whines about how she doesn't understand why... I'm an A student, but this is gonna kill my gpa.
Dr. Hasin really wants everyone to succeed, but microeconomics is hard. I am very good at math, but because of her explanations I don't always know what's going on. She responds quickly to email! 4 tests total, drops 1; non-cumulative. Not the worst class, and I really hate all econ classes! You don't have to go to class, but I'd recommend it!
Not a very hard class IMO. But if you do not like classes that are based only on tests, then this class isn't for you--it's only based on 4 tests. She will drop the lowest one, however. Read the book, read the (short) presentations she posts, and do the practice questions she posts online and you will do fine. She also has a pretty thick accent.
Honestly, my best professor of my freshman year. She is committed and truly cares about her students. She explains concepts very well and will always ask the class if everyone understands the material before moving on. She is very kind and responds fast to emails. Her tests are very fair and really similar to her online practice quizzes.
Only grades are 4 tests, drops the two lowest. Whole class failed the first two so she kinda had to. She will work hard to make sure you pass. I got a C, and I did nothing to deserve better than that. She reads from the PPT which are posted online. She posts practice quizzes which make up most of test. Negative, her voice is very hard to understand
she really wants her students to pass and is willing to help and work with them. Lectures are boring and only grades in the class are tests. power points don't help much on the test.
I believe my third test at a 76% was one of the highest grades out of the class. She's nice, however, her teaching is awful and her lectures are so dry. I did better when I stopped attending class and only read the textbook.
She's a nice person overall. A bit tough to understand at first but you get used to it. She's very responsive and answers questions. Her tests aren't that bad most people just don't study. She teaches well and she knows the stuff well too, and she does her best to make everyone do well.
While she does have an accent, it's understandable. Her lectures can be dry at times but are worth going to because she gives good insight on what's going to appear on the test. She issues practices quizzes before each test with questions similar to those on the test. She's really caring and wants every one of her students to pass.
Dr. Hasin is a smart and kind professor. She wants all of her students to be successful and to understand the material. To be successful in this class: go to all the lectures, take notes, study them, and do the practice quizzes as if they were the test.
Nice person. Ask questions, it'll help. Make sure to utilize all resources she gives. She's intelligent and knows her stuff. Go to lectures and know the stuff she wants you to know. If you want to, you can succeed in this class.
Dr. Hasin is smart, nice, and knowledgeable. Good teacher and good person. Her accent is good, but not excellent, but it's more than understandable. She knows the content well and connects with her students.
Prof Hasin has good intentions but her method of teaching is lacking. She has a heavy accent which at times is hard to understand. She writes illegible graphs and notes on the board and explains them poorly. She complains after tests because so many students failed. If enough students fail she will change the grading policy. That is how I got an A.
A bit hard to understand initially but you will probably understand her accent sooner than you think. She's really nice and knowledgeable about her topic. She's understanding, and be sure to meet her if you need any extra help. She's quick to respond to emails and she's thorough in her teaching and she cares for the students a lot.
Lectures are very hard to follow, she teaches straight from the study guides online, and she keeps changing the syllabus. At the beginning of class attendance was optional, and now its mandatory without any warning. She literally just said she wants to keep the policy vague.
She means well, but her class is just way too easy. I kinda feel like I've learned nothing. I never go to her class and I am one to regularly attend my classes. Ignore the last review on attendance. I got a 97 on the last test and didn't attend once. Just memorize the study guides and look over the textbook. She also responds to emails quickly.
Worst professor i've ever had. Not much more to say. Don't take her.
She's a nice person and good teacher. Also read other resources, attend classes-it helps. Her tests can get hard at times, but she gives extra credit. Some people get mad at her for her difficulty but it's still fine as long as you stay up to stuff. She also responds quickly to emails and she's like a professor that really cares. Good genuine person.
lectures uploaded to d2l are really all you need for tests. she missed a lot of classes due to family emergency. has a wierd accent that makes it hard to understand sometimes. explains badly
Absolutely DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. She is is hard to understand and doesn't explain the concepts very well. I took AP Econ in high school and I still found this class hard with her. She also missed 2 weeks of class and extended the 10 week course 2 more weeks. DO . NOT . TAKE . HER .
A very nice woman who means well, but if you take her class, expect to be teaching yourself. 3/4ths of the class this semester only showed up for tests because her lectures are confusing. HOWEVER! She posts thorough study guides and does in-class reviews before the tests, which there are 3 of, and puts the most weight on your best score. OK 1000ECN
Amazing class! Her lectures are solid, tests are easy, but you really got to study. Very responsive and a fare grader. Lots of bonus points. No regrets.
Competent Professor. She cares about the students and makes sure that she is understandable and fair. She encourages students to go to her office if they ever have a problem.
Dr. Hasin is really sweet, approachable, and knowledgeable. She genuinely cares about her students and wants to see them succeed. This is my second class with her, and if she had another class available I'd take her again next semester.
Good teacher! Puts study guides online which is the majority of test. Must study for tests.
3 tests make up your final grade. There is a language barrier, but attendance isn't counted. Just read the textbook and look over the study guide and you'll make an A. She seems like a very kind and caring individual.
This is my second class with Dr. Hasin (I took microeconomics last semester)! She's really nice and genuinely cares about her students. She knows that her accent is strong, and posts practice quizzes and a few extra credit events to make up for it. Study the posted practice quizzes and you'll be fine! Attendance isn't counted, but it helps to go!
She makes it clear that she wants the class as a whole to do well, and is willing to go the extra mile to make that happen. Study the notes and the practice questions well and you should easily get an A.
Professor Hasin is an excellent teacher. She knows her material and is willing to help you via email or office hours if you have any questions. She does not make the class difficult but prefers you to be present in class. She gives bonus questions with her tests and extra credit paper. Overall a very pleasant personality.
Her class is very doable and I really learned a lot of valuable information. The tests were very convenient but still not a cake walk. She is very clear in her lectures and I feel like she taught the information very well. I'd take her again in a heartbeat. Good teacher
She is a nice lady but not the best professor. Heavy accent that is hard to understand. Test were somewhat difficult. If you reach out to her, she will reply promptly.
Dr. Hasin is an awesome professor. She is very clear in her teaching method, she wants students to understand the material and she is willing to help if you need it. The lowest test grade is dropped and if you are fine with your first 3 test grades you don't even need to take the final. I didn't take the final & made an 'A'! I definitely recommend
I took microeconomics with her and it was an absolute breeze. The tests were basically the in-class activities with different numbers--easiest class I've ever taken. Super nice lady with a slight accent but easy to comprehend. All you need to do is show up and take some notes and you'll get an A.
Kinda worst prof I had ever met. See yh@
Extremely hard accent and doesn't acknowledge she is ever wrong. Students ask for help and she says "easy, this is easy". She literally cannot comprehend a learning curve when teaching. Big problem.
Quite possibly the worst professor I have ever taken in my life. Should have dropped the class after it took her 30 minutes to pull a projector screen down on the first day of class. when she doesn't know how to do the problems in class she'll skip over them and tell us to know how to do them on the exam or she'll try and have a student explain it.
I have had her for ECON 2100 and 2200. She is helpful and makes it clear what is on exams and what we need to know to succeed in her class. If you are willing to put in the effort, then a great mark is not out of reach. If you don't put in the effort, it is very easy to do horrible. Imagine that.
Dr. Hasin is awesome. If you will attend all of her classes, you never have to study much @home. Just do a little work and you are done. She makes everything so easy in the course.
Do not take her business statistics class. She reads off of her power points for lectures and teaches herself how to do things during class, thus confusing her students. The material covered in the class is not too difficult, but the wording on her exams confuse you or the answers are all wrong and you are left failing the exam due to her mistakes.
I could hardly understand what she was ever talking about, not only does she have a pretty strong accent that is difficult to understand, she also doesn't understand how to educate someone. Only grades are three tests which you will end up teaching yourself the material anyways. Don't take her.
Great professor! You have to earn your grade, but she makes it easy to do so. Notes, slides, and practice problems all are posted online. She wants to make sure that you understand the material before she moves on!
I had no issues at all with this professor, never had a problem with emailing her either. If I could take her for all my other classes I would.
Amazing professor. The tests were pretty much similar as the practice tests she posted online. All around a good lady who cares about her students.
Overall, Dr. Hasins Class was not terrible. She has a heavy accent and is difficult to understand but her powerpoints & study guides are on D2L. She gives multiple chances for extra credit that is added to your final grade. She does not take attendance & her class consists of 3 exams (33% each) but the questions come directly from the study guide.
These were easy concepts she taught and even when some people couldn't grasp them, she never showed frustration. Super caring!
The absolute worst teacher/professor I've ever had throughout my entire educational career. She doesn't even know the material herself. Answers to questions on the study guides she gives are incorrect. Only has 4 tests that count for your total grade. Forever to get your test grades back to you. I would transfer schools if I had to take her again.
Dr. Hasin is an intelligent woman. DO NOT EXPECT your grades to be HANDED to you. Just like every math class, bstats builds off previous knowledge so pay attention from the getgo. Do your part and it is easy to get an A. Slack off and don't do your part, easy to do terrible. 4 tests. your best 2 are worth 60% and the other 2 are 40%. w extra credit
She really grinded my gears this semester.
She really cares about her students' success and is very committed to the class. She answers any and all questions during and after class. If you actually attend lecture and study some before the tests, you will do fine. Her study guides had the same concepts as the test questions.
This class is very much self taught. As long as you spend a lot of time on the notes/practice questions you should be fine. Other than that class was not helpful at all nor mandatory to go to. She didn't understand the questions we would ask and doesn't work out anything on the board-all powerpoint lectures. --wouldn't suggest taking if possible
Her accent is very heavy, takes some getting used to. Attendance is not mandatory and that may just be because she knows how pointless her lectures are. She puts all of the study guides out way before the test, honestly just studying those will get you through the class successfully. If you have a base understanding of econ, just review the guide
Econ has always been a subject I struggled a lot with but I did extremely well in Dr. Hasin's class. Her lectures are organized perfectly for note taking and she keeps them interesting. She posts notes on d2l and if you do the study guides you will do well on the test. Definitely recommend taking.
Econ was a lot harder than I thought it would be. She seemed very willing to help students, though. And she gave extra credit points, which really helped me out.
Dr. Hasin was excellent. She did not surprise us with anything. She was absolutely wonderful and happy to help if needed.
her lectures are awful and the whole class is based on 3 grades. but you could miss every lecture and as long as you do the study guide you should be fine. her test questions come straight from there.
Class is so helpful and easy. You have three tests and that is it. She gives you extra credit opportunities. You only need an 88 to get an A. You must attend class, that is why you are in college---to learn!!! I highly recommend taking her.
Dr. Hasin was an amazing professor. Her class is based off of 3 cumulative tests. She gives you the chance to add on an extra 8 points to your average at the end of the semester if you attend 4 extra credit events. Some students thought she was not a good teacher but study the study guides she provides and you will be fine.
DO NOT TAKE HER!!!! The absolutely worst teacher I ever see in my whole entire life. Im serious, find a different professor if you can PLEASE. Unless you dont mind failing grade and listen to her reading off from the PowerPoint.
Professor Hasin is nice person, but I think she is not a very good teacher. She rarely starts class on time. She reads straight off of her power point. She teaches very linearly, which is unhelpful. The alternative to which would be hierarchically. In other words, everything yet nothing she says feels relevant/important . I had to teach myself.
Prof Hasin is the worst professor I have ever had. She strictly reads from a powerpoint the whole class and doesn't expound on anything. If its not on the PP she doesn't say it. Grade was based off of 4 tests and the tests were extremely difficult. I BARELY escaped with a C. Don't take her under any circumstance.
Great professor for BSTAT. I studied really hard for the exams and went to every class and got a 97, so those who did poorly just did not study enough. The tests were great way to apply our knowledge instead of just memorizing material.
This teacher is amazing, she really takes the time to make sure you understand the material and gets a good grade. You get what you put in. Study guides and practice problems are key.
Take her class. You can get an easy A as long as you study and pay attention in class. Her tests are not hard. Lots of bonus points, only 4 test and she drops the lowest score. She cares about you passing as long as you show up and she sees you trying. Attendance is not mandatory
You will get a good grade if you at least show up for the review and test days, you'll pass. Go over all the practice questions, they're similar to the tests. You will only get the answers for the practice questions one or two days before the exam, so show up to those.
Amazing teacher. Commands respect, teaches effectively, and her tests reflect what is taught.
Prof. Hasin responds very quickly to emails. She is also available to meet at her office after exams for review. She posts all of her power points online and the study guide to the tests with answers. Provides loads of extra credit. She does care that her students do well.
Second class with this professor. I'll be honestly, math is not my strong point and this class was difficult for me. I had not studied rigorously for a class until her class. I got an "A", while it was not easy, I learned a valuable lesson. Read study guides and the book to get an " A" or "B". She is accessible and responsive. Nice Professor.
I actually had a very pleasant experience with this professor. If you come to class, study for the tests you will get an A. In addition she gives plenty of extra credits. Take her!
I would totally recommend this professor. She does cover all the subject matter and makes good opportunities for extra credits. She offers useful reviews before the test is taken. As long as you show up and take notes you should easily end the class with a B.
Dr. Hasin is amazing. Go to as many classes as you can. Her examples help far beyond the text. You will pass all of her tests as long as you do All of the problem sets prior to the test. Best 3 test out of 4 plus extra credit up to 7 points on bonus questions. Great teacher!
I was a little unsure of how well I would do in this class before taking. However, Professor Hasin explains things so well and in depth. I could email her, and she would email me back by the next day with super clear instructions. I wish I would have had the chance to take her for other classes.
The only graded assignments were four tests, including the final. The final wasnt cumulative. Her lectures were hard to follow, but she does post all power points and practice problems online. I essentially taught myself using what she uploaded on D2L. She did end up adding bonus points at the end of the semester which is the only reason I passed.
Of all my professors, Dr. Hasin was the most helpful, enjoyable, and most likable. She treats her students like equals and is not on a power trip like many others. She's always willing to offer extra help and explanation. Tests are self-explanatory and as long as you listen in class, skim the book and ask questions, you will do just fine.
Bruh. Where do I begin. This professor has got me so furious because of so many past incidents where she was careless and told me to go find support somewhere else. I have been doing well consistently by working alone or with a group of students but the professor isn't the best in lectures. Take someone else if you can, if not good luck!
Easily one of the kindest professors I've ever had. She responds to emails super quick and is always there to help you. She does her best to make you feel comfortable with the material and she's always trying to make things more approachable and simple for the students. The only people who struggled are ones who didn't show up. 10/10 recommend!
Very easy to get an A. The grade was based on 5 quizzes and 4 tests. No lockdown browser.
Very well construed online class! it's organized well as it's asynchronous and week-by-week. There's plenty of materials to help you learn and pass this class with flying colors! Practice exams, Kahoots, the textbook, lecture notes and etc. definitely help make this class smooth sailing for students.
She is really kind and nice! Just started the semester with her, and I already love her! We're doing a hybrid version and she always gets back to emails fast. She's also very good at lectures and you can see that she def knows what she's talking about pretty well! She's caring too and understanding of the fact that we're in a pandemic too! Great!!
She is so kind and understanding! She has a lot of empathy for her students and is very relaxed. She teaches really well too and has engaging lectures. I loved going to her classes this semester! She always responds to questions quickly and fully, and explains concepts in detail whenever asked. Definitely one of the best profs I've had this year!
All my professors from Economics and statistics assume their classes are easy. But she by far does the most relaxed. This is not good bc it doesnt encourage students to study. The class is really hard and you should be reading even if they dont encourage u too. The worst thing for me was her accent, I could barely understand what she was saying.
Very good professor, who truly wants you to get a good grade. Lecture based class but all the powerpoints and lecture notes can be found on D2l. Weekly quizzes are there and all answers can be found in the powerpoints. She is passionate about economics and explains the material well. There are 4 tests including the final, but she drops the lowest.
Every week has a quiz on the chapter. Then, you have an exam every three weeks to cover those. They are not cumulative. She is very sweet, gives PLENTY of reminders about deadlines, and doesn't overload you. Absolutely would take her again.
Very good professor. Prof Hasin has a South Asian accent so if you have a hard time understanding different accents then I wouldn't take her but she tries her best to be clear. This class is an easy A, she gives you all the materials to successfully pass the class. She is very sweet, I would definitely take her again. Exams are easy there's only 4.
I loved her class! Lectures are optional but I highly recommend going. The class was only graded on 3 tests, with the 4th lowest grade being dropped, so just make sure that you are prepared. They were never too difficult though, and she always gave practice quizzes, practice exams, and study guides with answers. She was a very fair and nice prof.
Professor Hasin was nice, but she was VERY VERY boring. She also has a HEAVY accent I could barely understand. You also only get graded off of 4 tests and she doesn't take attendance. She does give you notes, PowerPoints, and practice questions, quizzes, and tests. Easy A.
Professor Hasin seemed very nice, but her lectures were incredibly boring and she had a very thick accent. I went to class on the first day and never went back. However, the class itself is super simple and she posts all of the quiz answers online. There are 4 exams which you can easily make A's on without going to class.
Dr. Hasin is very knowledgeable and explains concepts well. She is highly organized, and the assignments are consistent throughout the semester. You know exactly what to expect from week to week. Lecture notes, study guides with answer keys, and practice tests are available for everything. You'd have to really try to fail this class!
She is very hard to understand due to her heavy accidents I could barely understand her during lectures. Your grade is only passed on 4 exams and she drops the lowest one. She gives practice quizzes throughout the course but do not count. Most of the answers you can find online just in different wording. This class was basically self taught.
Best professor I've had all year! You shouldn't miss anything in this class due to the constant reminders sent out throughout the week about deadlines. DO THE PRACTICE QUIZZES AND TEST AND YOU WILL PASS! Easy A, no lie.
Class was exactly how it was outlined in syllabus. Highly recommend this Professor for Econ 1000.
Her class is very straight forward, and she is clear on grading. If you actually study and pay attention to the lectures, its an easy A. She is a relatively quick grader too.
Professor Hasin is very pleasant, encouraging, and really wants you to succeed. Her lectures were great and her accent was not an issue at all. If you come to the class, read the study guides, you will ace the tests. You can easily get an A in the class.
4 tests, she drops the lowest one. Do the practice test before the real test and its the same thing AND it gives you the correct answers after. You can then use that to "study" for the real exam. Stopped going to class after like week 2 or 3 and never looked back, DONT buy the textbook, never ones used it. She is kinda weird but the class is easy.
Professor Hasin is a very enthusiastic teacher; she makes the class very easy. She also strives the best for her students. I learned a lot in her class.
She is very sweet, gives PLENTY of reminders about deadlines, and doesn't overload you. She hand-feeds you answer by giving you a practice test/quiz that is just like the real thing. Absolutely would take her again!
Professor Hasin was a fair instructor. I didn't feel the need to go to class most of the time because I relied on my prior knowledge from high school, the lectures weren't that engaging either. Tests are straightforward. If you know what you're doing, you'll have no problem.
Very good teacher, she always wants to make sure you understand things. She's always available for help outside of class and answers any questions you have. There is a moderate amount of work and I made an A while taking 3 other classes and working full-time. Take her!
Professor Hasin is such an amazing professor and is super passionate about what she is teaching. I would take her for every class if I could. She's a caring teacher, she believes in all her students. Her class is super easy if and only if you study the study guide precisely. Read all her lecture notes, you WILL PASS.
Dr. Hasin is so nice! She is patient and explains the material well in a way that everybody can understand. The exams are fairly easy if you study her lecture notes and review the study guides. Her accent is not a problem.
TAKE HER!! honestly I never paid attention in class. She teaches well, if you dont understand stay after class. The practice tests are the exact tests. Same questions and answers. Personally before the test I write everything from the practice test down and A+ every time
Professor Hasin is genuinely a very sweet lady. I did find myself getting bored and dozing off in some of her lectures, but she gave us all the materials we needed to succeed. She gave us a practice exam with all of the same questions as the real exam. As long as you apply yourself, you will have no problems passing with her! Take her!
Professor Hasin was awesome! If economics is not really your thing, take her. Seriously. I stopped going to class pretty early on, but she posts her lectures, notes, and study guides online. The only grades we had were 4 exams, and she drops your lowest grade. Practice exams are pretty much the same as the exams! Everything on quizlet too. Easy A!!
The exams are mostly online and you can take them there. She drops your lowest grade and takes average of the other three. Will definitely take again
Absolutely take her class if you want an A! In my experience our grade was made up of 4 tests and the lowest grade is dropped, but she covers everything on the test and posts a helpful practice test and quiz. She does have an accent but is still easy to understand and overall very sweet. She cares about her students and it shows!
Very sweet lady! Theres 4 exams, but the lowest one is dropped! Take her if you can
She is a very nice professor, and you can tell that she cares about her students offering as much outside help as she can. She can often be repetitive with things from the previous class, but that's to help you to recap. She is encouraging and one of the best Econ Professors at KSU. I recommend taking Prof. Hasin. Just make sure you study!
TAKE HER!!! This was the easiest course I have ever taken. I stopped showing up to class after the first test. She gives you a review for the test, which you should DEFINITELY look at! You are graded for 4 tests only. If you do decide to go to class, she was a little difficult to hear/understand, but she is so nice!
Professor Hasin is great and her classes are quite nice. She always answers questions thoroughly and makes sure everyone understands before moving on. Throughout the semester I had problems (accessing exams, technology, and mid-term clarification). Just shoot her an email and she will help you:)
If you're thinking of taking ECON1000 TAKE HER. trust me you will pass the class with an A. I never went to class and as long as I did the practice exams I always got an A on the tests.
Prof. Hasin is a very responsible and patient teacher. She cares deeply about her students. Every time I went to her office hour she is willing to explain my question. She will post out the teaching materials before the class begins. Honestly if you preview and review you can get a nice grade. I enjoyed her class thoroughly.
She is a good professor and the class was very easy! There was just quizzes and test. She also puts out a practice test so you can use that and they are very similar to the test as well. Should definitely take her if you want an easy A.
Professor is genuinely helpful in this class and seems really easy to connect with as a teacher. I had to take Econ twice, and the second time was worth it. I made a B out the class. All you have to do is come to class, look over your notes, review the practice quizzes and exams before the exam and you will do fine in the class.
Prof Hasin really knows her Econ and makes you think critically. You will actually learn something and if you are motivated, she will gladly help you. Her exams are "SIMILAR" to the practices and in-class work. Go to the lectures, read the text, study and you will do great! :)
Overall, a great professor who likes to give life lessons frequently. I felt more knowledgeable about the concepts as we would work out examples in class. She will explain things as many times as you need. She makes learning ECON interesting and fun. A very good professor, all you have to do is what is required because she certainly does!
rarely went to class because she taught off a document of notes that i could easily teach myself from home. grades are based on 3 tests, there are 4 but she drops the lowest. super easy and shes nice but her class is just boring. said she required the textbook but i never used it.
Totally recommend taking Professor Hasin. She is very enthusiastic about what she teaches, which makes her lectures entertaining. Her grading is very fair, and you will get what you put in, effort-wise. A very passionate professor who really cares.
Farah Hasin is an amazing professor that just wants the class to participate and do great! she gives all the resources you will ever need for each chapter and the exams along with practice quizzes were super helpful! she is the best econ professor i have ever had and i already signed up for her Macroeconomics class :)
She is amazing, I didn't have any stress in her class. She is always willing to help her students and give them the sense that they will succeed in this class. Easy A. Graded by 4 exams. Make sure to study for the practice exams because they come from that. If you want to get any econ class, GET HER!
Professor Hasin's class was very low stress. The practice tests are just like the real thing and she sets you up for success. As long as you take notes and somewhat pay attention, you will do just fine.
If you're of taking ECON1000, make sure you take Hasin! Her class isn't mandatory, you only have 4 tests which are all online with a lockdown browser w/o camera though, lowest test grade gets dropped, and all the practice tests are the same/similar questions as the tests. I only went to her class 2 -3 times and finished with a high A!
Professor Hasin is great especially if you are taking her for Econ 1000. Four tests and lowest is dropped. I went to class like a few times this semester and just did the online lectures and made an A. Really cool lady for sure definitely recommended.
Very easy class! Took it in-person and only lasted half the semester, never went to class since attendance wasnt mandatory. Everything is online, she gives plenty of practice quizzes and exams which if you take and pass then youll be perfectly fine for the exams! Only four grades, which are four exams. Take for an easy econ class!
She makes the criteria easy and gives you practice tests and that is what the tests are based on. Also, Quizlet helps with the practice tests.
Super easy class, I only went one time. She gives practice tests very similar to the tests. She has her PowerPoints online and lots of resources to help learn. 4 total tests make up your grade, but she drops the lowest test.
She is very sweet and passionate about her class. It's a 7 week course so things go by fast. You don't need her textbook honestly just study her lecture notes and slide show. Only 4 grades ( the 4 exams) and she takes out the lowest one. Great teacher overall.
Overall not a terrible class but I did not learn very much from the teacher. Most of what I learned was online or from prior knowledge. Easy class with online assignments but don't miss a deadline.
LISTEN TO THE AMAZING REVIEWS. definitely an easy GPA booster. take her for econ1000 if you can.
Mrs Hasin is THE professor to take for the gen ed requirement. Attendance is not required, all the lecture notes are online, and your entire grade is 4 online tests. Lowest test is dropped and the tests mirror the practice quizzes (Quizlet will be your friend), and if you show up to lecture, she does a great job explaining the material. Take her!
Prof. Hasin is really sweet, and her econ class is veryyy easy, and I'm not an econ person at all. All the quizzes/tests were super simple, and attendance isn't mandatory. I hardly went to class and got a high A.
Very easy gen- ed class. Highly recommend this professor. She can be difficult to understand at times due to her accent, but she is very passionate about teaching and is really great.
Her Lectures for Business Statistics are very confusing as it is already hard to understand her with her heavy accent. Other students would have to correct her numbers and information on multiple occasions during the lectures. She puts out homework but even that is lockdown browser which practically makes it a quiz.
This professor knows nothing of higher level statistics. Our class is spent by the students correcting her incorrect calculations and explaining how to use excel. She tries but it is hard to learn at least in this class.
Professor Hasin is an amazing professor who makes BSTAT understandable. Pay attention when she solves things or you won't know how to do them in class. This is a tough course, especially if you've never taken any Statistics class before. She uses Excel for almost everything. Be sure to do the homework (10% of the grade) and come to class!
This class is not easy at all. Material is tough and get ready to read and practice exercises. She does have a thick accent, but you get used to it. Willing to explain things as many times as needed to get the point across. Easy going professor, cares if you understand the material. I have no complaints.
She is a solid prof because she is knowledgeable about what she is teaching. She is very organized with her notes, practice problems, lectures, etc., and sticks to the syllabus. She's super nice and will help you outside of class if you need it. A little bit of an accent but nothing that will get in the way, the best choice. All looks well so far!
Although it was difficult to understand her lectures, you will do well in her class solely based on the notes she provides, which are based on the textbook (so don't buy it). She makes her tests VERY easy to do well on as she provides sample questions and practice exams that are extremely similar to the test. I took her twice and don't regret it.
There is a language barrier but it is not so much the accent but the syntax that is an issue. It is really hard to understand the points she is trying to make because of the way she phrases things. She seems like a nice person but I would leave every single class feeling like I did not learn a single thing and had to teach everything to myself.
She seems a very good person. I do admit she has a accent but she is a caring professor. She reviews the PowerPoint and you can ask her questions if you don't understand. Don't buy the textbook! -Weekly quizzes, some are from the PowerPoint -DO the practice exam because its more likely to be in the exam. - She responses to email!
Prof. Hasin is a great professor! She knows what she's talking about and knowledgeable about what she is teaching. She is super straight up about everything. She lets you ask questions and doesn't make you feel dumb lol. It's a good class and you need to study well before tests.
I am a working professional and this teacher made it easy for me to complete the class. She knows her stuff and teaches very well. I truly enjoyed her hands-on teaching. I recommend her quite highly.
Very enjoyable course, she made me actually excited for an 8 am class! She makes the classroom welcoming, and topics are interesting and fun. As long as you put the effort in, you'll learn a lot and enjoy it. Professor is super easy to talk to and will give help when asked. You won't regret taking her.
Professor made the content interesting and manageable to learn. She works through the problem sets that are the same format as the tests. She truly cares about your understanding/learning the material. You would have to put in more effort to fail this class than to pass it.
Not only does she really know her stuff, but she is very passionate about her materials. The lectures just reinforced the chapters. Make sure to read the textbook when you study and take notes during the lectures. One other thing I loved about this class was the extra credit you can learn. Put in the work and you'll get a good grade.
She has a schedule on the syllabus to help you stay on top of readings. She covers what is in the book consistently, and quizzes and tests match up with them. She cares about her students and easily accessible outside the class. Any time I had questions about something in the course, the Professor returned my mails the same day.
I enjoyed Professor Hasin's class. I appreciate the organization and how content is laid out over the course. Her lectures go fast but if you can keep up her work through almost any problem you will see on the test and receive good grades on the tests. Come to class and study for the tests and you will do well in the course.
Professor is fair and always there to help students. She quickly responds to emails and has detailed information online to help with assignments. As long you put in your best effort, there is no way you can fail this course.
Professor was very approachable and helpful. Her lectures were clear and organized. The course had a manageable workload, and the tests were fair.
Her class was organized, engaging, and very clear. She was wonderful in terms of her dedication to helping students and making tests as fair as possible.
Professor is deeply knowledgeable about the subject of Economics and presents the course material in a very clear manner. She does a review day before every test and honestly, if you pay attention, take notes, and study, you will do great in the tests. She sometimes made my day with her lively teaching style.
This was a very easy class. Attendance is not mandatory so I stopped going after 2 weeks into school. Everything is online. Tests are lockdown browser but no webcam. This class is an easy A I definitely recommend taking her if your looking for an easy class that doesn't matter.
This professeur is very easy. If you are looking for an easy A take her. Attendance is not mandatory, and you don't need to go to class in order to recieve a good grade.
I love this professor so much! She really takes the time to help us understand the material. Overall, 10/10 teacher! Would definitely take her again! Thank you, Professor Hasin!
Easy class
This class was so much easier than I expected. I'm not a particularly good Econ student, but she makes the exams and quizzes directly from the powerpoints. Lectures aren't necessary but are helpful. She only grades by four exams and drops the lowest grade. Always take the practice quizzes and exams! You'll be guaranteed to pass if you do.
I have taken more than one class with this professor. She creates such a great and open vibe in her classes. The classes were very consistent, and I knew what was always expected of me to get a good grade in the class. She offers a lot of useful feedback and generally loves to interact with her students. Take her!
Certainly an excellent professor! Her class is engaging and made me discover an interest in statistics. She is very easy to understand and doesn't mind explaining things until you understand. She is also super accommodating and genuinely cares how you are doing in the class. If you need this credit, sign up for her class!
This class is very easy- everything is handed to you, with all the lectures on her d2L page and extra notes. Attendance is not mandatory, but it is recommended. Taking the practice exams are CRUCIAL to being successful in her Econ 1000 course.
She is a decent professor. Knows a lot about what she teaches. The class was very doable, and the structure of the course was one of the best in the semester. Very clear grading criteria. Highly recommend.
Everything about her class is posted online even if it's an in-person class, which makes attendance not really necessary since she reads from her online notes and powerpoints. She is very sweet and understandable. Her exams are easy to prepare for if you do the practice exams which are almost identical. Just 4 exams are all of your grade. Easy A.
Only assignments are practice quizzes (Not graded), practice tests (Not graded), and 4 tests (including final). The tests were easy for me because all the questions either came from or were similar to the questions on the practice exams, so be sure to take those before the test. Tests are online with no webcam required.
Easiest class I have taken. The only assignments are the 4 exams throughout the semester, she drops the lowest one. Attended class the first two days, never went back and still got an A+. The practice exams don't count towards your grade but take them because they have the same problems as exam the, different words. Lockdown browser but no webcam.
Great professor. The only things taken for a grade are the four tests which are online with lockdown browser! Take her for an easy A!!
SUPER easy class. I attended the first 3 classes, then never went back. There are 4 tests that make up 100% of your grade, but she does drop the lowest one. Practice tests were almost EXACTLY like the actual tests. Tests were lockdown no camera. Would 100% take her again.
This class was supper easy. Only showed up 3 times and got a 90 in her class. Supper easy and relaxed professor. She only wants students to pass. She is very funny and kind. Def recommend this class supper easy!!
Literally only 4 exams and she drops the lowest grade. I never went to class after the first week and never studied and passed with a B+. No homework, no quizzes. Easiest class ever. Very sweet lady. Tests are lockdown browser and times but the content is straight from her lecture PowerPoints.
All of her powerpoints and lectures were on D2L so there wasn't much of a reason to show up. In her lectures she goes more in depth about the subjects, so it's not a waste of time if you do show up.
She is a great professor and her grading is super easy to understand. The practice exams are all similar to the actual exams and it makes it easy to do well.
Dr. Hasin is a great professor that she only grades homework and tests which it's online LOCKDOWN BUT NO WEBCAM. At the near end of semester she even drops your lowest Test grade and drops TWO lowest test grades. Take her she the best.
Dr. Hasin is a great professor that she only grades homework and tests which it's online LOCKDOWN BUT NO WEBCAM. At the near end of semester she even drops your lowest Test grade and drops TWO lowest homework grades. In fact, she is very engaging towards emails that she cares for her students that she wants them to pass. Take her.
She genuinely cares about her students' learning and understanding of economics. Her lectures were always clear, and the tests were a fair reflection of what was covered in class.
This class is a breeze! The professor makes it super easy to do well, with only 4 exams and no attendance required. I relied on the practice tests and tools like Unstuck study to ace this course without much effort.
Your grade is just 4 exams, she has all the information and PowerPoints premade, so everything is at your disposal. There are no retakes or redoes, so do not miss an exam! She drops the lowest exam grade and overall if you need extra help, she is just an email away.
Great professor, had 4 tests and 4 classes for the year, could get 2 points added to your grade from extra credit, all answers to quizzes/tests are easily found online so just study and youll be fine, lockdown browser is required for this class
She is a great professor. The only reason why I didn't get an A is that I did the bare minimum. This class is easy. No assignments, just tests. The practice tests are the same as the tests. She always asks if anyone has any questions. She is willing to help if anyone asks!!!!
Took online. Very easy class with the only grades being exams. Content was easy to understand.
If you want an easy A take this class. The professor was amazing and seems to care about the subject she is teaching. There are no assignments in the class. There is only 4 tests and she drops the lowest test grade at the end of the semester. She also provides study guides that are almost exactly like the tests.
The class is very well-organized, and the professor's grading is fair. She genuinely cares about student success and is very approachable. You leave each class with a deeper understanding of economics.
Professor Hasin was great! Her lectures were decent, but enough to know the key points needed for the test. Your final grade is calculated from the average of your best 3 tests out of 4. The tests were super easy for they were basically identical to her practice exams. Overall, super easy class. Definitely recommend!
Only went to this class for the first week, but she's a nice lady. Only graded on 4 tests, and the lowest gets dropped. Tests are online, no lockdown. Do the exam reviews she posts, because they are super helpful.
A very caring professor who teaches the material. I would say just go to class, take notes, and make sure you take the time to study the lectures. I'd take her again.
She is arguably the best teacher I ever had. She gives out all the work due the whole semester from the first day, so you have plenty of time to do it. Even if you submit late, she will always give you a chance. Work is super easy, and i would 100% take her class again. 10/10.
A great professor who loved her students and was dedicated to their success.
Maybe went to class like 3 times. She has a very thick accent, so I never understood what went on in class. Very fast talker and teaches like we already know economics. But, passed all exams. 4 exams total but one gets dropped. So u only have to take 3 if u want. Still, you should take her!!! Very easy class to get out the way.
sooooo easy. nothing was webcam, only lockdown. 4 exams with practice tests before that are almost the exact same as the exam.
This class is super easy!!! Nothing was webcam, only lockdown browser. There were 4 exams with practice tests before that are almost the exact same as the exam. If you want an easy A take Prof. Hasin!!!!
Took this class online was superrr easy! Everything is organized! Def take this class with professor Hasin!!!
