Made mistakes while going through examples. Accent made listening to her a bit difficult but tolerable. Should have switched to Rahemmifar as soon as i could but i didn't. Notes given are good in terms of organisation.
She seemed to be a good teacher, until you realized that she doesn't seem to know the content that well. I eventually started attending Raheemafars classes instead. Farah speaks too quiet, and isn't sure of what she is saying, which confuses the students

Misconception of theories, leading students to mayhem... Tutorial is useless, leading students to chaos when doing quizzes. Is she a professor?
Frequently makes mistakes. You know something's wrong when she has to ask the class where her mistake on the board is. We might as well replace her with a student. Not a good prof at all in terms of theory. She really doesn't know the material that well.
good teacher

all this teacher does is copy from the text book (which is done very poorly as she makes many mistakes copying from her text). she is really hard to hear if your not sitting at the front of the class.

I don't know about you gys for me she is a good prof
she solved more example than all my other professors combined together, very helpful.
To the person below me: You smoking something? She is completely lost. She made more mistakes than Sadiku in a single day! Not a good professor at all. Copies out of the textbook... WRONG. Frequently corrects herself; asks the class to find her mistak
very helpful and clear.sometimes the numbers that she took from solution manual were wrong, but not a big deal for serious students.
Rumor has it that she is a bad prof., but really she is cool. Yes, she is an evil marker, but she works hard to teach you well. Answers every questions, and does million examples in class. If you do the work she recommends you will do fine. Overall good.
Absolutely horrible. Where did you get your Ph.D from? Cracker Jack University? If you can obtain a Ph.D, anyone can. She means well, but just can't teach. Doesn't know her material well. She asks the class to find her mistakes if she can't find t
If you just want to put the numbers in the equations and pass the course, you won't like her at all, but if you want to learn she is a very good prof.
She copies from Solutions and even makes mistakes doing so. If you give her any critical problem that is not in the text solution, i bet she wont be able to solve it right away
Great Prof. Just follow her recomendation and you are set for an A.Copying the text solution is so not true. That means you have never attended her class.most of the problem and solutions are not from the text but very helpful to understand the course.
You think she is nice until you have a small request, then you realize that she is such a B!she should stay home and cook for her husband ,not to teach us electrical engineering
Stay away from this prof. She will confuse the heck out of you.If you want to learn go to Dr.Ghorab or Dr.Karim
one of the worst profs and ryeson (not as bad as todorow). Enough said.
Made a lot of stupid but important mistakes. Got to love the monotone...not!
she is a very good prof to me,to the guys below me : are you all the same person?
To the guy 2 comments down. You must be on crack. We are NOT all the same person. She is genuinely horrible. I don't know any other prof who makes at least 1 mistake every 6 minutes, FUNDAMENTAL mistakes. If you can find a prof that's worse than this, I will retract my statement.
She's so hot.
Dr. Mohammadi is very helpful while she's presenting the theory and during office hours. At the start of the semester, she used to write solutions all over the place, but she rectified this problem after just one request. She actively takes student feedback into consideration.
I think she's an excellent professor. Yeah she does make some mistakes but its fun to correct her..:) Anyways she teaches real well but this time the midterm was a bummer..:(
She is an excellent professor
She is a very good prof, and her notes are actually usefull. she makes some errs while solving examples, but it's ok. they are not that bad. some people find the errs very annoying, but i was ok with them. the point is you lean the stuff from the lecture and her notes (beats reading the book).
Bad prof + Bad textbook = you know what...
One word--'shower'. Horrible prof and a stinker to boot.
ask her a question n she will b stumped. she is totally confused. i did not understand a word she said in her class.
she is an excellent prof. She has her own way of teaching which is very useful in solving the problems. In first week, you may find difficult to understand her but it will be easy after that. She teaches well and helps very well in office hours. I ended up A+ and have her in ELE302. Dont miss any class. Do all assign problems by yourself.
Can't teach for the love of god. But very helpful if you visit her on her office hours. And my god she's hawt!
I do admire the cool way she teaches with. She is very knowledgeable, confident, and conveys concepts very perfectly. She enforces order during her lectures and that bothers some talkative students. She is really excellent.
She is an excellent prof. She teaches well and does a review everyclass which is very helpful for student to move on. Go to office hours, she help you a lot and in office hours, you'll learn a lot. Her class average always higher than other prof's class
this prof sucked.
She is the best prof I ever had. She knows how to teach. She knows the stuff very well. care about her students and wish everyone to get A's. Damn, she is very hot...too
She is the best
excellent prof.
She's smart and she knows what she's doing. However, she's not too careful marking tests and exams... You have to go to her office and explain all the steps that you have done in the exam to get part marks.
Not a good prof. Makes more mistakes than humanly possible. Does not know the material well enough to teach the course. Avoid at all costs.
She's an attractive professor... and that's the only good thing I can say about her. She's a tool when it comes to teaching; makes more mistakes in teaching and her notes than any prof I've known in my life. Does not know the material well enough. I would avoid her at all costs, even if she is good looking!
she is smart, knows all student's names. knows how to teach and knows the material. She is not as nice as she looks, but sometimes she can very funny.just go to class and study the notes, you will do fine.
I loved this prof. She is so cool and so hot.She is very knowledgable, teaches beyond texbook which some may not like, but she really knows how to teach.
She is very nice
This course is exremely hard.I did not do well but I dont think I would do better in any other professor's class. she is knowledgable and an excellent teacher. She does make mistakes and she does want class to correct her,but without doing that class would be really boring.
She is so kind and nice, and always willing to help, and answer any questions not even related to the course.
She is one of the best profs in the department. This course is a little bit challenging and hard but the way she teaches if u attend all of the lectures and do ur homework questions,u will be fine.
She is really one of the best and sooo helpful.I will really miss her in ELE 531.
If you are a student relying on these comments in hopes of not working hard but somehow getting an A, think again. Prof Mohammadi was very willing to help and clarify any students' questions. The nature of this course is heavily based on basic engineering math; those who suffered in this course were the ones who didn't pay attention or didn't try.
The Best, the nicest and the hottest prof ever, but still I hared the course.
One of the best prof. Pay attention to the examples she does on board. They show up on exam with little twist.
she is a nice person
She is a nice person, pretty good teacher but class can seem slow at times due to people not understanding the material. Any class in general is not mandatory, people should be able to learn bythemselves if needed. But good class, the only class I attended all year.
-Teaches okay, like she just does problems all class. It can get confusing but if you want to do well in this course, see her in her office hours + do ALL the homework.
the ele 401 course is hard, it takes lot of time , I got B- with this prof but I dont blame it on her :/ , but my friends got this course on spring and got A with half of the time i spend on this course!!!
Class very boring, sometimes funny. Tries to get class involved in lectures by having us do calculations, sometimes halting the class until a few people have verified the answer. Labs were terribly organized, did labs on stuff we haven't done in lecture yet. But she is caring and is helpful. There are worse profs so stick with her if you get her
This is the first time In any course where I've felt the students were smarter than the professor at the end of the course. However, it was her first time teaching but she has a huge ego on how she handles everything. She made the exam hard, so do ALL YOUR HOMEWORK. Also ASK QUESTIONS, she will leave things last second if you don't.
Generally a nice professor who knows her concepts inside and out. Her tests can be tricky at times, but definitely not insane. I find that she is somewhat shy and soft-spoken; she can benefit from being more energetic in class.
She talks very monotonically, personally found it very difficult to focus in her class. She asks x number of people to raise their hands during class as if to gauge the comprehension of the class. Very lecture heavy and goes fairly quick. Online notes are sparse compared to the lectures. Not the worst prof but there are definitely better profs.
Honestly one of the best profs for ele401. She's knows the material inside and out, and explains concepts clearly. She won't move on unless the class understands. She doesn't over do the theory portion, and focuses on lots of examples that are really helpful. Very underrated prof!
Very caring professor who is open to students who ask for help. My TA (Mohamed Ibrahim) was also very helpful. This course can be intimidating, but she tells us to do all the class examples for a decent grade (which is fairly true). Bear in mind that she is also VERY picky on the exams; she takes many marks off for wrong notations and approaches.
She insists that you solve lecture examples to prepare for tests, which is true. I got 56% on the midterm and over 100% on the final because I listened. The course content is very procedural, so if you understand the relationships, everything is kinda easy. Follow ALL her steps. She teaches much better than in 202 and reviews stuff every class.
A very tough grader, but also very easy-going. She is also kind if you give your exam paper for remarking. Her teaching style is also great and steady-paced.
she's way overrated. She doesn't know how to explain well and she always posts the lecture notes very late. reading the book is better than going to her class!
She knows the material very well, but it is difficult for her to convey some easy concepts for a beginner. While she is friendly in person, I expected a lot more from her as a professional. Her lectures are organized, but very dry and also a very picky marker. Choose another professor over her if you can.
She is a really good professor. She knows the material inside out, she explains clearly with an emphasize on what is important, she is very caring . She is very good looking too.
The worst prof i have ever had. Shes so unhelpful for midterms and finals. She literally sends out emails saying not to ask her help for either. She doesnt care about her students. She clearly hates her job. Not sure why shes still a prof. She doesnt answer her emails and she literally answers with some questions are best to be ignored. idiot.
she shows very easy examples in class, but the midterm and final are whole other story. do well in the labs and just be hopeful she curves at the end.
One of the worst professors ever. From disorganized lectures to constant "ummm amm" noises in class, the point she is trying to convey is almost always lost. She clearly knows concepts herself but for her to explain them is a real pain. During the COVID-19 crisis, her disorganization was even more evident together with being highly insensitive.
Avoid avoid avoid
Not only is her communication atrocious, the labs were a disaster. I took this class 2020, so COVID-19 appeared and she refused to change anything about the course. She told us the day before our exam what platform it would be on. She can't teach at all. She refused to answer or help in her office hours or over email. 0/10
She ignored everyone's concerns about the awful exam procedure. The online test (worth 50% of mark) is built to show one question at a time without possibility to return to previous question and estimate the time for each question properly. Very disorganized. Her notes are a mess. Added additional unnecessary stress to COVID 19. Avoid.
She might be caring and good person, but she's not a good teacher. She ignores student's concerns, specially with this online classes. If you can be in another prof's class, choose them.
Not accommodating for any students with poor internet connection to complete the final exam during COVID-19. She simply told us to buy better internet. Also, refused to answer any questions during her zoom lectures regarding how the final exam would be conducted online during COVID-19. Do yourself a favor and avoid her class by all means necessary.
Uncoordinated prof, no idea how to organize a fair exam.
Hands down the best ELE prof you can get for first year eng. Explains everything thoroughly and concisely; has a great sense of humour and is an overly joyous individual. She made me enjoy coming to lectures and is the reason that I have a sensational grade.
The course is very easy but the prof makes it unbearably hard for no reason what so ever. She clearly likes to torture her students. Very bad course coordination done when it comes to midterms and exams. Doesn't like to talk to students or help them out when asked. Doesn't reply to any of the emails. Switch to another class if your get her !!!!!!!!
Never seen a prof this unorganized before. The exam was so unfair, hard and time consuming. Does not want to communicate with her students and never replies to emails. Do your self a favor and switch classes if you get this unorganized, unfair, confused and ridiculous prof as your instructor for any of your courses. Its gonna save your marks.
The worst professor ever
really boring lectures and very unorganized course management. labs are straightforward if you know what you're doing. grind for the midterm/final, and hope for a curve.
Just steer clear of her. makes too many mistakes some of which will really cost you heavily.
Even though Farah is a sub par teacher at best, it was her inept management of coordinating the exam that proves her faultiness at handling the course. She claimed that the online exam will be invigilated, however when concern was raised about those who do not have access to high speed internet, she simply replied get better internet.
In terms of teaching, she's average, but she's the kind of prof who doesn't care about you and is so disorganized. Details of the final exam were released incredibly last minute and she sends so many unnecessary emails that could have been just 1-2 emails instead of 5+. She is also quite unreasonable and inconsiderate towards students.
Terrible proff. never answers emails. during covid she handled our exams terribly. very inconsiderate of peoples situation. Stay clear people. stay clear.
It felt like stressing students out made her happy
Good luck
Save yourself pls
WHY IS SHE STILL A PROF AT RYERSON? I'VE DONE TWO DEGREES THUS FAR AND NO PROF WAS AS DISORGANIZED UNHELPFUL AND JUST OVERALL HARD TO UNDERSTAND THAN HER!
Worst prof in the history of Ryerson. If you get her just switch out you won't learn anything in her class, she can't teach for her life, would give a 0/5 if possible, that's how bad she is just try your best to switch out and if she's the only prof then just watch Kaamran Raahemifar videos on youtube. Don't waste your time going to her lectures.
If you miss a few lectures you will be extremely behind, as the notes she posts aren't timely and tough to understand without being in the lecture. Tends to lose internet connection multiple times in the lectures and instead of being thorough with important concepts when reviewing for exams she says "we learned this in class so I wont go over it."
She can't teach. She never responds to emails. She always seems lost during lectures. She gives ridiculously hard exams. Why is she still a prof?
Better than other profs who teach 202 imo. I took the course twice; Farah was much better than my first prof, and YT vids weren't super helpful to me personally. She tends to move through content slowly, but I came to appreciate her pace and clarity as the concepts got harder. She can be disorganised, and has trouble communicating outside of class
shes just eh, idk bout the other reviews but i felt she could teach decently well, however her time management is very bad so she does rush some stuff. she drops multiple hints on what questions will be on the exam & some exam questions are repeats of examples she does in class but theres usually 1 question that you have to make yourself & solve.
Tough course to pass, got bumped about 10% due to bell curve and ended off with 95%. She is incredibly disrespectful by email and in class if you ask questions she deems stupid, even when its 1 on 1. I hope I never get her again.
I took this in the summer, so evidently the course is a little more rushed, but even in a short amount of time, she finds a way to explain concepts clearly and reiterates it several times in case you don't understand. Prob the most well-paced prof I've ever had. And she does LOTS of examples and responds quickly to emails which is a plus
Difficult to understand. Worst prof I have ever had and extremely rude. Not helpful and does not know how to explain properly. If you can avoid her as a prof I would recommend you do so.
I thought she was a great professor. Shes pretty friendly and in my experience very easy going who gives great feedback. She really guides you in the right direction for material and practice problems. Had no bad experience and wish she taught fourth year courses.
QUEEEN, she will tell you to stfu if needed. unironically funny. teaches the material well with great examples. may get some things worng in lecture, but its not catastorphic and will accept ur input. great pace, restates inportant concepts before lectures. open to questions. tells you what type of questions will be on the exam.
I was surprised about her reviews. I feel as though she taught the content well and all her mid term and exams were exactly the same as her lectures.
Professor Mohammadi was a decent professor her examples were good in lectures and she went over common mistakes she would find in exams and midterm I believe she prepared us for these test as much as she could but know this is not enough and you absolutely need to do review and complete as many practice problems to pass this course.
Dr. Mohammadi made this course a breeze. The exam was on exactly what was taught and she did a lot of examples. With some practice a good mark in this class is definitely achievable.
Overall my experience with her was great, her in class examples are pretty much what to expect on the midterm and exam. Her explanations are not too clear, but once you understand the theory and you do her in class examples you'll for sure pass the course.
Good examples to set you up for the midterm/final. Explanations are not good at all. Messy notes/worked examples. Her explanations weren't good because she assumed everyone understood everything she's doing so she didn't bother clearly explaining what she's doing as she went through examples.
her lectures are boring and mindnumbing but she keeps midterm and final in roughly the same structure
Her lectures essentially cover everything that she puts on her exams. She's okay at explaining new concepts although the textbook can help you understand better. Her pacing can be fairly slow at times, sometimes unnecessarily, on certain subjects. Otherwise, she made this course a breeze as long as you attend lectures and practice. PRACTICE!!!!!!!
Professor Mohammadi's class can be a bit hit-or-miss, but with some effort, you can definitely pass this course. Her examples are helpful for exams, and unstuck AI is a great study tool alongside the textbook. Just be prepared to put in the work.
She's not a good prof. Does not go into detail when teaching and she seems quite uninterested. You're better off going to Dr. Jassar's lecture who teaches the course much much better.
She handwrites all the notes and expects students to submit notes to her. That part isn't a problem but when the notes are not EXACTLY as she wants them she will say to stop sending them. To be clear this was for extra credit which was available to all students. Lectures do help but beware of the midterm. 2 hours is not enough to complete it.
Worst prof I have ever had and extremely rude
Avoid her at all cost she is very grumpy
She records and posts lectures online and then complains about the course attendance being very low, and give that as a reason they won't bellcurve the midterm, although the average was below 40. According to her you are expected to spend 8 hours a week if on this course, and keep in mine you will have other courses going. Just avoid at all cost
She is a bit grumpy but will makes SURE YOU UNDERSTAND/PREPARED FOR EXAMS. Took her in the summer and she gives time to try the questions yourself in class, she handed out previous year exams during class to practice, highlights exactly what is on the exam so you are prepared. Exams were fair and she prepared us well for it.
Prof is actually good if u wanna learn, she goes over lots of examples that are similar to the ones on the actual exam/midterm. If you master her examples ur good! Overall a decent prof
