He's a good professor and he knows his stuff; on the down side, he often references the book directly. However, this is good because all tests are based only on the slides and not on the book (except very few problems). I would rather have Kass teach the class any day instead of Dastoor.

Class time may have seemed useless (except for the clicker points) at times but if there was any problems the review sessions were very helpful. If you read the book, go to class(pay attention), and attend review sessions (if there is somthing that you don't understand) there is no reason to fail.

He's is very good at teaching a large audience but when it comes to teaching without his slides he tends to have a more difficult time at it but as long as you can get it the first time you should be all set. Farahad would have gotten a 5.0 from me if not for the lab in the course. The lab disrespects the intelligence of everyone taking it. His lectures were very well done and delivered with a lot of polish and solidification. Exams, as poor as I did on them, were fair. I enjoyed the lecture component of the course, not the lab.

If you pay attention in class, read and do the homework, it can be an easy A. Although Dastoor is lecture heavy and he posts the slides so you can look back on them, they hold almost no information, meaning you NEED to pay attention in class to get down all the information you need.

The lectures are extremely confusing, and the slides he posts have limited to no words, so if you don't know what he said, there's no looking back. The exams are designed to trick you, and there's no exam review.
