Great teacher. Really would recommend him. His tests are a little tricky, but he explains everything in class really clearly. If you don't understand something, he will go over it with you until you understand it. =)
He is the best teacher I've had for Economics or Finance courses.
Great Professor, one of the best in the department. Very clear and goes over things again and again till u understand. Used to really enjoy his classes.
I had him over the summer and he was not clear or very helpful with the problems. He would get frustrated easily and give an attitude when people would ask him for help. Almost everyone that had him ended up either dropping the class or disliking him.
If you come to class and pay attention, you will do fine. Also, don't take him for Econometrics unless you understand fundamentals of statistics, since the class is based on this. You and he will be frustrated
had him for finance. He's a great professor. really goes over the materials in class and knows what he is doing. i would recommend him.
Good teacher. No homework. Don't take him if you learn by doing. He goes over it once in class and that's it. Doesn't respond to emails either.
I'm taking him for Fundamentals of Finance. It's a tough class but he is very knowledgeable and explains topics well.

good one
presents info clearly, helps with whatever u don't understand, tests aren't bad at all
I really enjoyed his class. He is able to make anybody understand the subject. There's hardly any homework but make sure you do them. Tests are fair and he gives you a curve. Montclair is lucky to have him.
Do not take Rezvani, I only say this because you deserve the best for your money. He skips sections in the book and leave you responsible. He is not a man of his word, what is on the test is not what he say is. He also want you to work problems backwards.
take him for finance...he makes it as easy as possible! good class
Took this guy for fundamentals of finance and must say he knows his stuff, he's also pretty clear with his examples and notes (althogh there are a lot of notes.) Pay attention and you'll do good on his tests.
Very easy-going professor.Ask whatever you don't understand, he would help you as much as he can. Also tries to give good grades to everyone. My best professor ever..definitely , he does have mercy instead of most of them.Isay definitely go for it.
This guy is a very good "teacher" he'll work wiht you and help you whenever you need it. If you are taking any high level econ classes he is well worth taking. He's WAY better the that Baytas prick!
Pretty good professor. Really goes over the material in class and always reviews what was done in the prior class before starting new material. Tests arent that easy but has a good curve at the end.
Very good professor; Even though econometrics is a very hard subject if your are really interested in learning something this professor will help you. But you have to do your part of the bargain, which is study everyday. That's what I did, and earned and A.Take him by all means.
Excellent. Makes complicated concepts seem easy. Will work with anyone who has a problem until they understand. Tests are fair. One paper due that basically is just to boost your grade. Highly recommended.
Excellent, he is an extremely intelligent person and he takes his time in explaining concepts to the class, his grad econ class consists only of a midterm, final, and one paper, no stupid group projects, and both classes before the exams are review sessions, almost impossible to do poorly
He is the best.
Very nice person and an intellegent professor. He explains everything very well and his tests are easy. You just have to study for them and you will get an A. LOVED THAT CLASS!!!
Rezvani is a brilliant man, and a great professor. Does not take attendance, but for your own sake, go to class because his lectures are straightforward and his exams are tricky.
I took the advice from the other comments posted and it was the worst thing i could of done. He breezes through the chapters and leaves you to learn the rest of the material on your own. It tells alot about a professor when more than half of the class failed.
Do not take Rezvani. I had him for summer session & he lectured through chapters too fast. His exams are multiple choice & MADE BY THE AUTHOR OF THE TEXTBOOK. This means that if you do not know the definitions & problems precisely you will do bad on the exams. No review on exams, he asks everyone if they have questions on the chapters and thats it.
Very nice person but moves too fast through the material. His exams were extremely difficult even though they were multiple choice. There was only a midterm and final exam for the summer course. If you did poorly on either exam, you ended up with a passing grade for the course, if you were lucky.
This professor was a jerk, he belittled students, he thought that we were idiots. He flew through the material and was upset if you asked questions. I would avoid him as much as possible
Great teacher, makes a boring subject interesting.
Yes, he goes fast through the material, and yes his exams are very difficult. I took his class because I wanted to learn finance and I DID!!! I also had an unbelievable average above 100% with extra points that he always gave. My advice, if you are lazy and don't study- DO NOT TAKE THE CLASS!
Excellent teacher; has got a unique knack to simplify the most complex economic principles; often available at off-class hours too to help you. Reccommended for the studious guys! You take his class- you'll come off as a much more knowledgeable person!
Excellent professor! Makes the fundamentals of finance easy to understand although it's a lot to learn, but u will get it if u take him. Tests are easy as long as u pay attention to his lectures (very interesting) and do/get the practice problems he gives in class. M.S.
what an A**~!! talks down to students..favors the suckups and doesnt respond to emails or phone calls. learned nothing and bought my entire gpa down
I just took this as a 3 week summer class and it was great. Quick and to the point. Two scan-tron tests for 55 points each out of which he takes 100. Its alot of material but its not terrible. Its a crash course so you have to focus but Rezvani does a good job with a class like this.
I found him quite interesting. He got down to the point and always taught exactly what you needed to know. He goes by very fast but is always clear on what he wants from you. If you pay attention, take good notes and study, You will get that A. It's not an easy A but its attainable.
Not bad; not great. Class is boring and he seems unprepared a lot of the time but take him again over a lot of the others
He was a nice and smart guy. Not hard, not easy, just average.
I got a B in Econ 101 easy, So i thought this class would be no problem- yea right. Hard class, very boring. He just lectures. Although attendence isnt mandatory it would be in your best interest to go to every class and stay on top of everything! I got a B- and I consider myself lucky
He goes really fast and his tests are one of the hardest exams I have ever taken. Half the class failed the exams.. He does curve but at the end I learned absolutely nothing.
Pretty Smart guy, always ready to answer questions. Explain things were clearly. I really enjoyed his class and looking forward to take more classes with him. If you want A in the course you have to attend classes even though they are not mandatory.
Dr. Rezvani left me feeling indifferent. His lectures are so boring, but he puts everything into terms students will understand. I've no interest in business so this class was intolerable. Tests are tough, doesn't allow extra credit, and your grade is based on 3 grades. Easy 6 page paper due at the end of the semester. Wouldn't recommend him though
Good class, good teacher. I learned a lot. Really tries to apply hard concepts so everyone understands. Don't miss this class as there is a lot covered and if you miss a class or zone out, you might be lost. If you pay attention, take good notes and study you will do fine. Midterm, Final and 1 paper.
Very professional. The way he explains concepts is unbelievable. You'd have to be retarded not to understand his teachings. His jokes are few but hilarious. Definitely recommend professor Rezvani.
Rezvani makes sure you understand the concepts of economics and will repeat things over and over. Lectures are not boring, rather interesting and sometimes gives funny examples. Tests and exams are kind of hard, but giving yourself time to study for them should help. I would take him again for future classes.
Not a bad class, Rezvani explains the topics clearly, can be funny at times, grading seems to be fair
He's nice, explains well, but his classes are kind of boring. He could be more dynamic and challenge students a little more. Overall good and fair.

i don't know where everyone got their reviews from but i was lucky to get a D in this class! he speaks broken english and his tests are nothing like what he reviews for. borinnggg to boot!
He's a good guy and likes the subject. As long as you pay attention you will get the concepts. Exams are extremely HARD! Ready the book and study REAL hard and you should do good.
Prof is really good always available. If you want to get an "A" study your notes and read the book (both are necessary). Multiple Choice :1 mid, 1 final and 1 project (do a least more than 10 pages for an "A").don't miss a class or you will be lost in the chapter.
This is what professors are supposed to be like. Never takes attendance, tests are all multiple choice, goes at a reasonable pace. Nice guy, understands the subject matter well. not exactly the most exciting, but worth taking.
No idea what people sat through. He lectures the entire time pretty boring and his tests are really confusing. I knew the subject matter and the questions were still confusing. For his first test the average grade in the class was an F. So go by that. On the positive side he does know what he is talking about i just wish his tests were more clear.
Great professor. Highly recommend him. If you take really good notes and study from your notes, you will do fine. There is homework almost every week, but worth it since what is covered in the homework is covered in the exam.
I have no idea what people are talking about i am a 3.8 gpa student and i am having a tough time in his class. The average grade on the exams so far has been a D-. He takes attendence sometimes. Lectures the entire class with an accent that can be hard to understand, and he is so boring. If you study your butt off you may get a B...maybe
Highly Recommended. No attendance. No homework. Test are slightly difficult but passable. Mandatory 5 page paper which is 10 points extra credit on final average. Very intelligent professor. Goes over information many times until you understand it. 2 and 1/2 hour lecture flies by because he keeps you interested. I really liked him. Take hi
he's very clear about what he wants, its just A LOT of material... for a micro professor, hes perfect. he tells you everything you need to know & the tests are hard but hell tell you what to study
Took his 3 week summer class.. wasn't bad at all. He is straight forward and has 1 midterm and 1 final 55 pts each (5 on each test are extra credit) and that will be your grade out of 100. Great teacher overall and take him for the summer class if you want to get rid of this class quickly
3 week summer class - pretty intense, but the prof is very knowledgeable and explains well. Answers all questions and makes sure you understand. 2 tests 55 pts each (grades you based on a 100). tests include problems and theory -not bad at all, if you study and know what you're doing. I highly recommend this prof!
I took the six week summer class. Even though the class is fast moving with alot of information, the professor, gave excellent examples with wonderful clarity. A born teacher. I would take him for all my classes if I could.
Tests are extremely hard, no one ever does good on them. I studied long and hard for his tests and still did bad. Try to say away if possible. 3 tests and a paper. Occasionally takes attendence but not on a reg basis. A lot of material. He does know what he is talking about and does explain it very well, but tests are TRICKY!
he will help you out after class. go to class he counts attendance even though it doesn't say it. If you go to every class he will give you extra points
He's a really good teacher.. But his exams.. OMG.. they are extremely hard.. He explains everything really well and ull understand it by the end of class.. but the sec. u receive that exam.. PREPARE TO FAIL.. wow!
He is a good professor and explain things really well. I am sure the whole class understood his lectures. However, tests are tricky. But he is generous and the report paper helps you learn and it helps your grade as well.
This is not an easy class, but if you work at it you will get an A. Read the chapters, go to class, and get the study guide book. If you do this you will do just fine. The paper at the end is a big help. This class is not for slackers.
Econometrics is a hard class and is not a joke! make sure you study and take good notes otherwise you will have to fail, and drop the class
he's really nice and tries to relate real world stuff but.. HIS TESTS ARE HARD!! i studied 6-8 hours for both (theres 2 midterms) and the final and i got a C on all of them. it seems like everything he explains in class will never been on the tests, my notebook is filled w/graphs but not one graph on tests. boring class. HARD
excellent teacher. has very high credentials. students, stop focusing on whether a class is easy or not. college is suppossed to be a challenge and this teacher can truly prepare you if a career in finance is your goal
I hated this class. So boring. He knew his stuff and make sure you go to class. The tests were close to impossible and nothing I wrote in my notes was on the test. I got a B, study for hours and maybe you'll get the same.
he is REALLY HARD, I studied really hard but the tests are impossible. I got a C on mid term 1, C on mid term 2, and F on the final BUT he curves and its an awesome curve I got an A! somehow? not complaining....
stay away from him if possible.
summer class6 weeks. Horrible class, I still got nightmares over it. Studied for days, however tests are really hard. I got a C+ on the mid term and F on the final BUT at least he curves and ended with C!
summer class, i attended everyclass, took notes, and studied HARD.. he gave me a D.. 2 exams (midterm n final) 40 questions each. and he doesnt change grades unless hes made a mistake, which never happens. doesnt take attendance, no hw...grade is jst based on the 2 exams. don't take him.
Took him for 6 wk summer class. The material is HARD but I learned more from his class than any other finance class. Best professor in finc dept, its too bad he only teaches 321. His grading system sucks tho - only 2 exams 50% each. No hmwk and doesn't take attendance so you have to study hard and ask questions. He is extremely clear and helpful
Very clear, made MBA Economics relatively easy to understand - and I come from a Liberal Arts background. 2 exams, 1 paper - that's it. Definitely one of the better professors I've come across.
Professor explains material very well and knows what he is talking about. 1 midterm, 1 final that only covers the remainding of the material (both multiple choice) and 1 10 pages paper about current economic topics. Exams are a little tricky and you have to memorize good amount of the material but if you study you will have no problem. good prof
Very good professor. Explains things very well and heps you understand the subject. Recommend taking his class.
Definitely a tough subject. He is always willing to try to explains things more clearly if you don't get it the first time. Tests are hard multiple choice and short answer but he seems to curve in the end so I'd reccomend him.
I took this FINC321 this Summer '11, the professor was good and fair, the classes and his lectures where concise. If you practice, do the hws, and attend his lectures there should be no problem gettin an A or worse a B. I highly recommend this professor. There is only a midterm & a final...nothing else, I don't know if its the same in the fall.
LOVE HIM! he is such a nice, great, caring professor. He really explains the material VERY WELL and he will make sure you understand before he moves forward. 2 exams, hw, & final all worth 25%. Very fair and if you practice the problems you can get an A. I highly recommend him!
very helpful and knowledge.
If you were an economics major, you should have no problem with this class at all. For non-econ majors, he keeps everything very simple and takes his time to explain things.
This professor is highly recommended. He certainly make sure that everyone understands the material. There are two midterms, a final, and a term paper. In this case you have to make sure you do well on everything. However, you will not regret it because you will most likely leave his class with more knowledge about finance and the economy.
IF YOU NEED A GOOD ECON TEACHER, THIS IS YOUR GUY! MAKES SURE YOU LEAVE HIS CLASS UNDERSTANDING WHAT HE WAS TALKING ABOUT. 2 MIDTERMS, 1 FINAL (ALL 30 MULTIPLE CHOICE) AND AN EXTRA CREDIT PAPER = EASY CLASS. HIGHLY RECOMMEND, ONE OF THE BEST CLASSES IVE EVER TAKEN. I KEEPZ IT REALZ!
Horrible teacher, really rude. Probably the rudest person I have ever met in my life. DONT TAKE
Great professor. He gives you a lot of examples and makes sure you understand everything. You definitely need the book, and studying is required. I learned a lot from this 6 week summer class. Only a midterm and final - no homework and no attendance.
He's tough and so are the tests. Good at explaining and curves your grade at the end
All i can say is, really hard tests and he is very rude. I don't know why some people said theres extra credit and curves because i asked him and he said there aren't any. Would not take again.
He's exams are very tough. The online homework isn't too bad if you remember to do it. Attendance isn't mandatory, but if you miss a few classes it's difficult to catch up.
He's exams are very tough. The online homework isn't too bad if you remember to do it. Three exams which are tough because the answers are so similar. I never studied, just paid attention in class, and did the homework and got a B+. Would rather take an easier class for a gen ed course.
The tests are hard. Not worth it.
Professor Rezvani is an excellent professor. His lectures are full of real life examples and not the PPT lectures that come straight from the book. Many professors should mirror his work ethic. For a graduate level course is more than fair. If you do the readings and go to class you will do well.
Good professor always lets you out early. He uses real life examples for you to understand. The majority of the time he doesn't take attendance but if you miss a few days it'll be hard to catch up. Theres homework online once a week that isnt that bad at all and theres 3 tests through out the semester that are really really tough.
Only 3 tests and weekly online hmwk with all answers online (also have 3 attempts for each question). Reviews before each test. Also reviews material from previous class at begining of each class. Attendance not manditory, but he checked it every class in the last 3 weeks of the semester. You need the book. Major curve at the end. Love this guy!!
Most of your grade depends on the 3 exams and homework. There are weekly homework assignments online which are very easy. You need to really study if you want to do well on the tests. His lectures are interesting because he always uses real-life examples so that you can relate to the concepts. Paying attention in class will really pay off.
One midterm 25%, 5 homework assignments 25%, final exam 50% of your grade. Multiple choice exams taken online with lock down software in class (not at home). He is an amazing professor due to the fact he is able to give you real life examples and dumbs things down for comprehension. Study slides & hw, the book is irrelevant; online HW MYECONLAB web
Horrible teacher, he does not care about his students. Went to him for help after failing my first test & he aughed at my face when I asked for helped. Homework is easy but the test can be difficult, he does a quick "review" but that doesn't help. He has a thick accent so it is hard to understand him. Basically, have to teacher yourself.
Dropped my Economics minor because of this guy. That's pretty self explanatory.
To the point professor. Whatever he teaches, you will see it on the exam, thats the best thing about him. He teaches well and is very clear.
Honestly, He's not that bad. Economics is just a hard subject in general, but he gave real life examples which helped on the exam. Use his notes to study. Its only 3 Exams total and HW every week but its easy. He curves in the end of the course, which is why you shouldn't bother asking for extra credit. Just Study the definitions he gives.
Dr. Rezvani is one of those professors you need to stick it out for a few weeks before he warms up to you. He truly is a caring professor and sticks to himself in regards to his research, but he does pour his whole time to understand the subject himself before teaching. He has really open office hours and gives examples of his own academic life
I think whomever gives this guy a good rating is being paid to do so this man is garbage as a teacher he doesn't care whether you pass or fail and anyone who says other wise is full of sh#t. this guy cant teach for his life. no structure no caring, its a paycheck to him and if he has to fail you to keep getting paid then thats what hes going to do.
Honestly do not take this man. He reads word for word off his power-points, doesn't move from his chair , and curves absolutely nothing.
This subject itself is hard but he is really educated knows a lot about the subject. His tests and quizzes are mainly definitions so as long as you study that you and put in the work you will be fine
DO NOT Take summer classes with professor Faramand. He knows a lot about the subject but is not very helpful when it comes to exams review.
Attendance is non mandatory but I would advise going. If you don't go you will be confused. He posts powerpoints in case you miss which also help when you study. He knows his subject but doesn't engage with students. He just simply teaches. There are three tests and nothing else. Pay attention and try your best you will be fine.
He does not take attendance, but you will fall behind if you miss class. He just sits in his chair and reads off his powerpoints. There are just three exams, but they are not that easy.
He literally came into class everyday and sat writing the notes out on his tablet. Talked about food alot I swore he came to class hungry. His tests and lectures NEVER matched the slides and said multiple times oh the slides arent right but wouldnt tell us why or give us correct resources. DOESNT HELP EVEN WHEN YOU ASK
Definitely will not be taking again. Tried multiple times throughout the semester to reach out to him about questions about the course via email & canvas and never answered ANY of my emails, which is very unprofessional in my opinion. AVOID if you can!
He is a really knowledgeable about Economics and he gives good examples to explain different topics. Just pay attention because there are only 3 tests during the semester and those are the only things you will be graded on.
If you can avoid taking him, I 100% recommend. Rudest, and least understanding professor Montclair has. Especially during a pandemic. His instructions were extremely unclear, and for a completely online class he was not accessible at all for extra help. DO NOT TAKE.
Rezvani is clear and straight to the point. Listen in class, take notes, do the homework, do the exams, and that's it. He lectures 99% of the time, so it's hard to ask questions, but he is approachable after class. He simplifies everything to help us understand, especially for people who aren't economics majors. All in all, he's decent.
The profe
The Professor was extremely passive aggressive. Almost all communications were with a negative tone, and not encouraging whatsoever.
One of the best professor in Econ this class is not easy so at least take it with someone who is really knowgebale about this topic his lectures is extremelly intresting very caring he give exapmles of real world which will help you undersatnd the matiral. three exams only make sure to do good in them and Dont miss the homework's Highly recommend
this man is hard to listen to for more than 30 minutes. he yell talks for the entire class and he just reads the slides word for word over and over again. He gives 3 test that you MUST show up for, the only time he will take attendance. I would not recommend this professor again.
pearson homework that do not take long, make sure to do them on time because he does not unlock them, drops the one with the lowest grade. first textbook is 130, second is free with the code he gives. attendance is not mandatory and smt lectures get boring each exam is 25% and the homework is 25%
Lectures are very boring and attendance does not matter. You will have to pay to do your homework with the textbook included and there are only 3 tests with the homework. He rounds up grades at the end of the year so if he is your only option he is not that bad.
Decent professor. Lectures can get boring at times and it was hard to focus. $120 textbook software where the homework could be found. Homework was pretty easy and understandable. Overall, class was decent, but I wish I found an easier professor. If you can find someone easier, definitely do so.
While the lectures can be dry, engaging with the course material through the textbook, homeworks, and Unstuck AI can help you succeed. The exams are the key focus, so make sure to prepare well.
Dr. Rezvani is **not** the most understanding, accommodating, or helpful Professor. I had an 89.6% at the of the course, so I asked him if he could round it up. He said nope! He was also my SBUS advisor, and he seemed very uninterested in helping me answer any questions. He is not one of those Professors that want to see you win...
He is not polite at all. I sent him an email regarding my difficulty in logging on days before it was due and he basically said that was my problem not his and i needed to figure it out. He will not post on Canvas assignments due. only starting doing it i swear when people weren't submitting things.
Dr. Rezvani is an average professor. His lectures are mostly him talking 99% of time, and he sometimes read the slides and breaks down the material into real world examples. You have to use Pearson for assignments to pay textbook he provides and create an account where hw is. He does 3 tests and you have to download lockdown browser for his tests.
Although attendance is optional, he gives valuable information and clarifies material in class, which helps a lot during tests (three tests in total— the only things you are going to be graded on). If you pay attention during lectures and take notes, tests shouldn't be a big problem.
Tough course, great professor. I learned a lot and even though it was hard it greatly benefited my understanding of macro. Attendance is not mandatory, but you should def go.
I failed his class. He gives 3 exams, and they are worth 30% of your grade. GO TO THE LECTURES! GO TO TUTORING! Even though attendance isn't mandatory, GO! study! study! STUDY! All the class material, because you will be lost and fail the exam. also the textbook is online and mandatory to buy because that where homework is done
