An Excellent professor. Highly would recommend him because he explains things very clearly. He also puts in a lot of group discussion. Just show up and do well on his exams and an A will be very easy to get.

Took his summer course. Good explanations, definitely kept the course interesting. Explanations are clear. He's young, so he's in touch with out generation. Definitely recommend this guy.

The course itself isn't at a very difficult level, but if you have any troubles Professor Ameen will help you to understand the concepts. He's very clear, and his assignments and his presentations are nice and concise. He's always five or ten minutes late to class, but he rarely runs overtime. Plus he's from Bangledesh and that's just cool. But don't worry, his American English is perfectly on par.

Class is real easy to begin with, but if you have problems he will definitely help everyone understand all concepts. Real good guy. Does not like to give bad grades

I thought this would be a really hard class, but it's a piece of cake. Great professor, totally adorable, cute accent. Tests are mad easy. Totally worth getting up at 8 for.

He's a really cool teacher who knows his Economics. The class can sometimes be boring and I would liked him to use technology in the classroom more. The tests are not hard, but not easy if you study. Assignments are easy and he goes over homework in class. A recommended teacher.

Took his online class. Very straigt forward, 20 chapters with a test on each. 20 multiple choice, a couple tests had fill in questions. Its tough material to learn through online. A lot of analysis and interpretations. Graphs and formulas can be tough. Be prepared to struggle a little bit.

he really helps out his students, i wasnt doing so well in his class and he let me take my final over three times until i passed it =) his class is not that hard, a lot of material though.

I love this Prof! I didnt know a single thing about economics but he was very helpful during office hours and even got me on my feet to start applying to other colleges (and stop being lazy) He is very intelligent and very caring I highly recommend him!

The best class ever!!!! Couldn't have a better professor for Economics..... Show that you're interest in the subject and about learning that you can get easily an A.... but of course, do not forget to study!!!! Professor Ameen is one of the best teachers I have ever had. He really makes Macro easy as long as you pay attention to him. He gives review packets before every test and when he gives homework (rare), he doesn't grade them on if it's correct, but if it's done. He makes it easy to get an A, just SHOW UP TO CLASS!

If u need economics, look no further. Take him. I took both macro (offline) and micro (online). It is easy to get A's if you study a little bit. In case of online, don't miss deadlines for quizzes (number of quizzes = number of chapters). They are easy, though.

I really enjoyed this class. I took Economics prior and dropped the class because I could not understand anything in the class. But I learned so much with this professor. He is clear. He gives a lot of examples. His exam is exactly what he taught. He is great. I would recommend him twenty times over. He wants to see growth in his students.

Absolutely great professor, he tries to relate the material to current events and does a very good job of making material that some would find complicated very easy to understand. Participate in class and show interest and you will do well. He has continued to be very helpful even a full semester after I took the class.

The book is really helpfull, do not buy the study guide (the professor didnt use it once). He gives very little homework, and when he does he gives handouts. He uses most of the class time explaining the material. He is very helpfull, i recommend this proefessor.

Ameen is a pretty good teacher. By the end of it if you pay attention, you'll get economics easily. He's easy to approach and takes questions. his tests are so easy and you rarely use the book, but it can come in handy if you don't get something.

I took his micro class online and he was awesome; helped every student who went to see him and has a very clear understanding of the material as well as how to teach it.

He made me love economics. Well spoken, clear and concise and truly a pleasure to learn from. I took both Macro and then Micro-Honors. Tests were according to the material covered in class which covers most of the textbook, but in more detail

Dr. Ameen is the man! He's kind of scary because he moves fast, connects material to real world events during lecture, and expects a lot of students, but so far he's been very supportive and clear. I definitely recommend!

Oh my gosh Dr. Ameen is the man! I wish I had him for Micro also! He's so clear, but doesn't skip over important material. Makes economics interesting and accessible. Encourages class discussions and connections to current events and real-world topics. Effective use of blackboard. Lets you use notes on the second test onward. I totally recommend!

Dr. Ameen is truly a great professor. He is highly structured and clear, and conveys the material very well. If you pay attention, read the textbook, and do the homework there is absolutely no reason why you cannot do well.

Took him online in the summer, the workload is very tough to handle. All quizzes/tests come from the textbook and are not easy. But the professor is very accommodating and is there if you need help.

Go to his office hours if you have any Qs. He's always willing to help. I think he should be teaching at a 4 yr university. This man is a gem! :)

Great teacher. Has somewhat of an accent but you'll get use to it as the semester goes on. Assigns homework but rarely checks it. Lectures basically throughout the whole class time. Really knows what he's talking about you'll actually learn in his class

Vassar student here: this guy is PERFECT. Very well planned lectures, and guided practice. My advice is to pay attention and NEVER skip class. Keep up with the homework and keep taking notes in class. It's a guaranteed A.

Great professor. Gives 2 midterm and 1 final and few assignments and quizzes in myeconlab which are easy.

Prof. Ameen is such a nice guy. Really seems like he knows what he's talking about. Doesn't give much homework, but we do have online quizzes which are open book. Go to class! You REALLY need the notes. I don't like economics but if he taught another class I would take one with him again.

Took Macro with Prof Ameen and he was great. Knows what he's talking about and is very helpful. I transferred to another college and have to take Micro and wish he taught it here too. Not much homework, but keep up with the online quizzes. Take notes in class and use his reviews to study and you should be fine. Everyone I talk to loves him!

This professor is amazing! I learned so much from his lectures. Be sure to take very good notes because sometimes he teaches outside of the textbook. If you study hard you will do very well in his class.

Professor Ameen has the patient of a saint! He does everything in his power to help you fully grasp the concept, and all of his lectures are captivating. Study up, but don't stress out about the tests because they are always easier than the review guide MC questions. Awesome guy.

Professor Farhad is amazing. He explains everything very clear and always reviews the material to make sure that everyone understand's it. He gives extra credit assignments which can help improve the grade. He responds to the e-mails very quickly and also has a great sense of humor.

Took micro online. The course is a lot of work, textbook and on myeconlab. My fav thing about this class is there were only 3 due dates throughout the semester, so you can either turn in many chapters at once or not touch this class for a while without hurting your grade. Lets you manage yourself & SUPER quick and thorough responses to questions!

Professor Ameen is one of the best teachers one can have. His lectures are very easy to understand and he has the patience to explain something multiple times when needed. You can go to his office hours for help as well. He is also very respectful to his students and takes their opinion into consideration.

Microeconomics Online. Very responsive via email and extremely knowledgeable. Clear on how grades are weighted, really only 4 due dates, work at your own pace for the most part. Wouldn't describe the course as easy but if you put in the work it will be hard to fail. Quizzes and Exams based on text so sadly it is a must. Would take again for sure!

Great class, very straight forward. You need to read a chapter a day to be on track with the 3 due dates and have some time left over to review a bit for the exams. Gave a very good explanation at the end on the current minimum wage that provided a great contemporary insight that went beyond the basic situations in the textbook.

He was very clear in the syllabus, there is a lot of reading because you are teaching yourself. But overall the class is not difficult.

I just finished Professor Ameen's online 5 week course. He is very clear about what he expects from you. I really liked that he gave the class feedback after the class was over, most teachers just give you a final grade. You can tell he wants his students to do well with all the reminder emails he sends out. It was done online so lots or reading.

Hes a good professor but you really have to read the book and pay attention in class to really understand the material. He lectures the whole time but gives very little notes. He gives full credit for homework assignments even if you get all the answers wrong.

He is SO understanding and such an awesome professor! Will repeat himself as many times as he needs to, to make sure you know what is going on in the lecture. He does give this macro report at thats due at the end of the semester, and I think that was the hardest thing in his class. Other than that, the class was super easy and very interesting!

He is an amazing, smart man! I had a tough semester back, after a few years. I was an awesome student until I had medical emergency. I became distracted and extremely stressed out. I reached out to him and he was understanding, caring, patient, helpful, and let me turn in late hw. Im Thankful I had him for my fall semester! Hes really Heaven sent

I would recommend his online class. It is a lot of work and reading but it's online so you have resources available. His paper and discussion are really easy too. Just the quizzes and tests are more difficult. There's 20 chapters you guys go over so yea.

Amazing professor and just a great guy. Really cares about the field and his students. Not a difficult class if you show up and pay attention. Assignments are manageable and he is a fair grader. Don't be afraid to participate, you'll get so much out of the class if you do.

A humorous guy with great mind for knowledge. He's very easy going with clear grading criteria and give you optional extra credit. Keep your knowledge update with the economy and you'll do great and keep asking questions he doesn't mind answering it.

Hands down to the most amazing professor that I took in my life! Great communication and lecturing skills. Midterms are okay as long as you study and practice the review questions multiple times and also read the textbook. You will have a project but its not that bad. Other than that, he is so smart, a well spoken person, and has great humor.

His lectures are very easy to follow. He really cares for his students. When some student bought the textbook but didn't get the code he went out of his way to ensure we got our codes. He explains things well and if you pay attention and review your notes, you will be fine.

i love professor ameen. i took online for microeconomics this semester but it was super easy. 24 quizzes and 3 exams. i have a B in this class but it's okay. probably would've taken him in person lol.

Prof. A is really good. The only dilemma I ran into is that I am not good at Economics and I decided to take an online course in that exact subject. His online asynchronous courses do involve purchasing Pearson. So, think about the money you are willing to spend. With that in mind, everything is self taught and only the exams are mandatory!
