Made the course interesting and understandable. Had to do readings to get the A, but was worth it. Very fair marking....broken down fairly.

Amazing teacher, really interesting and easy on the eyes. The subject itself, if learned only from text, would be difficult, but he explains things really well, making it all clear in the end. You pick the format of your exams so you know what to expect.

he is a nice guy, but i found it really insulting when he made fun of people (like me) who have never romantically kissed a girl...maybe he should be more sensitive and realize that not everyone has someone special to love them!

Kinda arrogant, always throwing his education around, but overall a good teacher. Kinda has high expectations for a first year class and not too motivational when it comes to writing papers, he told us about all the things he was sure we would screw up on.If you study, you'll do okay.

He's a great professor and easy to get along with. His tests are somewhat hard, but if you study, you should get at least an A. Overall, I'd give him a 4.5/5.. ..I totally can't wait to take more classes with him!! :)

Very hard teacher with exams but makes up for it with the paper and the attendance mark. He is very interesting, just hard, but offers help if you need it.

Dastur is a fairly good teacher although he can be fairly rude. His class was interesting but "off topic" most of the time. Tests are very challenging but u can make up for lost marks on the presentation and paper. He's a cool Prof, but needs to lessen on the attitude. but overall is very helpfu

If you want to learn and have fun doing it than take his class! Most fun I've ever had in a classroom...helps that he's easy on the eyes too! Major hottie! He's tough though. True, True, Dr. D is a major hottie. But his time management sucks. Will barely cover 3 slides in 2 hours. He did make class interesting but his tests are real hard-and yes, I studied! Overall, I was left with a bad taste in my mouth from his teaching skills, it would have been better if he just took his clothes off! Smart guy, knows his stuff.

Very illuminating, enjoyable and educational course !! Having Dr. D teach this is the obvious choice and the best one.

tests are challenging but not overly difficult. If you read the text and understand the concepts an A is not out of reach. Sometimes he goes off topic and doesnt go over the slides, but they are posted and he always generates intersting and thought provoking discussions. Dr.D really cares about his students and class. Overall great teacher!

This class was no cake-walk but it was still fun and I learned a lot. Really awesome prof. He really cares about what he teaches and about the students and it shows. Highly recommended. He's a little slow on marking stuff but he goes the extra mile for his students.

Wonderful professor! The class is extremely interactive, and his lectures are always interesting and never boring. I found it easy, but that could be because I already had prior knowledge of psychology.The tests are not difficult and very fair. Plus, there isn't a ton of work to be done.

I loved Farhad's class! He kept students interested and was very interactive. I found his exams fairly easy. His class has 2 exams, 1 research paper and 1 group project. I found that he was a very easy marker.

Best teacher ever! Class was never boring and he talked to us like we were his equals, which i personally liked. Tests were super simple, based off of notes and textbook. One research paper, 2 exams, and 1 group project. such an easy class! i loved it.

He gives you 3 exams & 1 group project (super easy marker. I would say honestly all of his tests were challenging & make sure you watch his videos because he puts questions in the multiple choice. Use his notes as a guide but study the textbook- its quite heavy on the biology content. He gives out a lot of bonus! Also his final isn't cumulative!!

He is someone who actually engages in conversations with the students, and makes the everyday lifestyle of us all get incorporated with the lectures for a better understanding. I highly recommend him; he's amazing!

Overall great experience. Would take again. Extremely understanding towards projects. Friendly and helpful. Sometimes doesn't make good use of class time and gets off topic during lectures but is able to make lectures fun and exciting. Recommend!! :)

I'm taking Special Topics with Farhad, it's a new course he's teaching so he's working out the kinks which comes across as him seeming disorganized. There are 3 big projects due and one final, everything is due in the last two weeks of the semester not giving you the opportunity to withdraw if required. He's really caring. Gives last min assignment

The best prof I have had so far. His lectures are engaging, and you will walk out of the class with a different outlook. The tests are beyond fair, as long as you listen to his lectures, and read the textbook I can guarantee you will get the grade you want. This is a prof who inspires students, I would recommend anyone to take a class from Dr. D.

Hands down The best teacher at kpu .

He gives great lectures that are easy to follow. He set up study groups to help succeed at tests, which goes above his call of duty. He is very approachable and informative. I hope to be able to take other classes of his in the future!

Farhad cares about his students. He's not there to make you fail or be overly difficult. He motivates you to do well and reach your full potential. His lectures are engaging and you need to attend them. His exams are clear and he's a fair marker. He's very tech savvy and on trend. No need for textbook as he provides all that material.

Dr. D is chill and funny but a little disorganized (giving major feedback right before an assignment is due, syllabus delayed). There's a lot of material on the exam that's not covered in class and sometimes parts of lecture are not relevant and feels like a poor use of time but you can negotiate your grades but he's good in the rest of the areas.

One of the best profs Ive had so far! Lectures are so engaging, he does his best to make them interesting and entertaining and tests are really fair. No essay however he did make us do a video project at the end but gives you all the materials necessary in order to complete it.

Dr. D is the best prof. His lectures are interesting, and he always tries to make it relatable for the students. He host's study sessions to ask him anything about the exam. He is a very caring prof, he gives you ways to help calm your anxiety before exams. He also makes his exams super easy. I would take his class all the time if I could.

Dr. D's class is super knowledgable. He is super good at lecturing; I wish that class was not online so I could enjoy his class in person. He is super lenient with grading and his exams online are easy if you attend the lectures and read the textbook he provides. He also gave us a video project to work on which was a lot of fun.

Dr. D is an amazing prof. He is extremely caring and understanding. His course consists of 4 (easy if you watch the lectures) exams, a storyboard, video project and a journal.

The prof was super super nice. Very understanding and caring. Passionate in his lectures and keeps the class awake through his stories. My class was online due to COVID. 1 major assignment and the rest are tests. Simple and straight forward content. Gives you his lecture notes and his tests are basically exactly was is written on them.

Very knowledgeable prof. The course load was not heavy at all (compared to other 3000 level psyc classes). Exams are very laid back - 24 hours to complete plus open book and online! But be warned, he does take forever to grade stuff. NO research paper but he did assign a video project (fun if you like acting or editing videos)

This is really a good professor. The way in which professor teach is really easy to understand. During my course, there were just three exams online which were open book exams. The professor tries to make the course easy for the students.

If you just want an easy A, he's a good choice, but don't really expect to learn anything. Just finish the assignment assigned online. He doesn't give feedback on written assignments.

Farhad was a very good professor, I enjoyed his intro to psych class because it was very engaging and he did the most to avoid reading directly off the slides. The grading for the course was easy with marks based on Achieve assignments and exams which were both open book. However make sure to attend the class because some exam questions require it

Dastur Farhad is probably my fav teacher so far. He is kind and understanding of issues outside of school. His class is easy if you try. I was going to take another class with him but he is popular and all seats were gone. Def take him if you can. His lectures are engaging and actually fun to listen too. tests and assignments are all online

Professor Farhad has a straightforward teaching method. The exams are open-book, which makes the course more manageable. Using unstuckstudy and the free textbook helped me ace this class with an A+.

I took 1210 at Langara This professor was THE BEST PROFESSOR I've ever had. He's just amazing great lecture, very fun and interactive, great way of teaching GREAT grading , he's is just AMAZING would 100% take any other course with him SO UNDERSTANDING

I didn't know much about this course but Dr. D made it so relevant and interesting. We had to do a creative project applying design ideas and a usability study of a website. There was an online final exam. Dr. D very much cares about his students and i loved all the interactive stuff we did.

this class is 100% online. you read the textbook yourself and do the mind tap activities and then also do the exams. the exams are on 3 chapters. there are 3 exams. honestly pretty easy course. but just lots of reading and note taking for the online exams. you have 2 hrs to write the exams wheneever time u want. they close at 10pm.

I learned more than I expected during this course. To be honest, Dr. D is one of the best instructors I have had during my time here as an international student. He really cares about the student progress and don't make things harder than it should be. Just do your work/assignments and don't be lazy. Simple. I had a really amazing experience.
