It's a tough class, but he's a fair teacher. He let's you know exactly what's expected from the begining. If you go to the lectures and take notes you should do fine. P.S. take advantage of all the extra credit he offers.

He's a little man with a lot of knowledge. He has quizzes at least every week based on the reading material and in class notes. Two midterms and a final. To succeed in this class, read the chapters and do well on the quizzes. My friends call this class "Current Events 101" because he gets really into his discussions

This class was really hard. Dr. Nasri expects alot from his students and likes to talk current events alot. I missed alot of class because of this. It didn't feel worth going to when I could look up current events on my own at home. I took this class to learn about American Government!

One of the best professors I've ever had! I took his Econ class and passed with an A with no effort because his lectures are all that's on the test. His International Relations class is a little more difficult and much more advanced. His tests are not difficult if you study. He is very understanding on attendance if you have a valid reason. He knows so much it's insane. He is a great advisor too and can help you with any problem you have at school. Highly recommended.

He teaches at UCSB and might be one of the smartest teaches i've ever met. He knows his stuff and is willing to help you get the highest grade possible. The teacher is a great man, I took his class online and he gave us a lot of extra credit on the exams, and made many exceptions to help us pass. Attendance is mandatory. He will dock you points. Participation is mandatory, you work in groups so choose the people you sit around wisely. You might want to sit next to your buddy, but that isn't a good idea if he isn't the smartest kid. Study hard and do all of the homework.

I took Global studies online you have to really study to get an "A" in the class.This class has 11 quizzes with 2 exams. Each is worth 100 points. Professor Nasri gives you a lot of extra credit opportunites to raise your grade. This class also has a lot of writing. If you study this class is a breeze.

I took this class for Spring 2013 and it was a great class. 2 Chapter applications which aren't bad can really help your grade. Since I took it online, just pay attention to the chapters and you'll be good. I had no interest in politics until I took this class. He chose a great book! Must take!

It is a lot of work for an online course, but Dr. Nasri is THE MOST organized teacher I have ever had and is very understanding in his grading process. Beyond that, he is very accessible if you have questions and very quick to respond. The class itself was interesting, as well. I learned quite a lot.

I took this class once before at another college and failed, but online with Farzeen was a great choice! One study tool I found useful was the supplemental website on his syllabus with practice quizzes. 50-80% of the test questions are from that! Grade is based on weekly discussions, weekly quizzes, and midterm/final. Easy as pie!

Dr. Nasri is an awesome guy. I have a 4.0 GPA and this class was very challenging. But Dr. Nasri really knows how to explain the subject and keep you engaged. 3 test, and chapter questions weekly. Do the Aplia extra credit & you'll get an A. The class may seem boring at first, but he somehow peaked my interest!! Obviously it's online so you get the opportunity to use the book during tests. I got 100 on both papers and wrote them the last day but I am a good writer. He offers a lot of extra credit just check your email. Get the online book!!

Read and follow syllabus carefully. This online course was reading the text and taking quizzes, writing short summaries of articles every week and a midterm and final. This class really bettered my understanding of world politics. There were lots of extra credit assignments available. DR. Nasri was quick to respond via email when I had questions.

The guy is an economics wizard, if you want an A be the group leader of your assigned groups bc he asks group questions every class meeting and he'll roast the group leader if heshe doesnt study. Being the group leader MAKES you study, and you'll pass the final and midterms with ease. Other than that, just read the book and study

The online course for POLSVO1 was difficult, fortunately Dr. Nasri works with you a lot! He will answer any questions. He also offers a lot of extra credit to boost your grade. There are a lot of supplemental criteria for you to study and work with for the weekly quizzes.

Took political science online and it was my best experience with an online class. There are weekly timed quizzes, and if you read the chapter beforehand and take the practice quizzes you should do well. Everything is very clear and straightforward, and Professor Nasri is wonderful about emailing reminders about every assignment.

Dr Nasri is very well versed in economics and how that pertains to current events. If you skip class often this is not a class for you. Be prepared to read and sit with those who will bring your grade up. He is very willing to help you learn, has good office hours, and will repeat anything you need him to. In Dr. Nasri class, you will be assigned into groups with the people next to you so be careful who you sit by. Everyday he does a question and answer period at the beginning of class so make sure you read the chapter that was assigned as the Q&A is worth group points. He does not assign homework so there is only 2 mid-terms and final.

I took Dr. Nasri's online American Government class. If you truly put work into it, you will get a good grade. I studied , did flash cards and also took his practice tests that were in his study guides. He also gives extra credit so take advantage of it. I ended the class with an overall grade of 100/100. It is possible and he is a great teacher.

This is a very interesting class & pertinent to our everyday lives. There are so many opportunities to succeed with numerous extra credit options. He's one of the reasons why i'm switching my major to economics. I don't know why this professor teaches at Ventura College but if you need to take economics or political science, take it with him. Great teacher. Really knows the subject and is willing to spend as much time on a subject to ensure the students get it. He gives 2 midterms and a final. Thats it. No graded hw just assigns chapters to read which he then goes over the main points in class.

I would take this class again and again. I have a new found interest in economics, and Professor Nasri is to thank for that. Professor Nazri's online International Relations is a must for those pursuing a great political science education. Their are weekly essays of just only 70-80 words, it may sound difficult but in reality, it really is not, makes you critically think. Great for those who want to experience a CSU or UC education. The reason for the level of difficulty set to a 2, is because as long as you do the work, participate, follow guidelines and TRY, you will get an A in this class. One of the best professors on this campus. He splits up the class in groups and has group quizzes every class. If you want to do well in the class you need to read the book, however he's very helpful and he offers 10% worth of extra credit, and an additional 10% if you do more than half of the online extra credit.

This professor is great at getting the material across, even in an online environment. The professor offers engaging, relevant, and various extra credit opportunities. Prompt email response times, even during peak busy times during the semester. I would recommend this professor for International Relations.

I'm definitely going to miss this class. Econ is something I've always struggled with but this professor made the subject enjoyable and so much easier to comprehend. It's pretty simple. Read the chapter and get quizzed. If you keep up with reading the chapters you'll do fine. Take this class! Lots of extra credit opportunities as well!

Overall, I thought the class was fine. He does divide the class into "groups" and asks closed-book questions to a couple of groups at the beginning of each class, so be prepared. It can be fun, but if you're in a group that doesn't care about their grades then it will be more difficult. I was in a good group, and got an A in the class.

Dr. Nasri is a very fair professor. You can tell he is extremely knowledgeable and passionate. Very straight forward class. Weekly quiz, midterm, final and a paper. He offers a lot of extra credit and I suggest you take advantage of that! I ended up with so much I didn't have to take the final and still had a 104% in the class. Great PS option.

Dr. Nasri is a fine instructor. I took the course online and he kept us informed as we went along. He offers many opportunities for extra credit. You must read the text. He is considerate and willing to help. Dr. Nasri responds to email promptly. I recommend that you take this course from Dr. Nasri.

Dr. Nasri wants his students to succeed. If you take the class online get organized. Read the text, use the study guides, take advantage of the extra credit opportunities and you will do fine. I earned enough credit for an A before the final. He is considerate of special situations and helped me when I needed it. Take this class with Dr. Nasri.

I am very thankful I chose to take Nasri Farzeen. I would suggest taking the class with him if you have the option to. Not only did he teach the subject very well he also taught a lot about life. He would always make sure to show you how subjects work in the real world. He truly cares about his students. If you can, take a class with him!

Hes such a great professor

I highly recommend taking a course with Nasri. Every week we alternated between taking a quiz on our reading or submitting article reviews (called "Readers"). It requires a decent amount of work, but nothing too difficult. Also, most of his quiz questions can be found on quizlet!

The political science class was so good. Prof Nasri is a nice and caring professor and I would definitely recommend his course. There is so many extra credit options that help you get the grade you want.

Dr. Nasri is an excellent professor in that the reading and work he assigns has been constructed so well and with a lot of thought. So you will lean a great deal about a very complex subject such as International Relations. He is very responsive and caring. I wholeheartedly recommend this professor!

The easiest class I have ever taken.

Taking him for Int. Rel. During COVID he keeps it simple with just 9 quizzes, 6 essays, midterm, and final. Study the textbook and pay attention to theories. He offers a lot of extra credit so take advantage of it! Ask questions, he is super responsive and accommodative! He truly cares about his students and loves his profession! Best class ever!

Most of the answers are online. Prepare for a 6 page paper on an argument about your Government. If you buy Mind-tap, youre buying yourself an A in the class

Quizzes are the usual and easy if you do the reading. Essays are extremely important for the grade you receive and you have to nail them. And most important do the extra credit, without the extra credit I would have gotten a B. All in all great professor who will make you work for it but it is worth it because you will learn a lot.

Compared to my previous POLS classes, Dr. Nasri was very engaging with the video content he provided (e.g Crash Course, Current Events, Modern Videos). The textbook he selected offered real-world examples with the concepts it addressed. I would greatly recommend anyone wanting to take IR to take this course, great professor, great course.
