She is not flexible with her deadlines but she is good. Be aware of her policies from the first day. She knows her stuff and I liked her lectures

She is a nice and accessible. Pay attention, take notes & ask questions during lectures. Class is doable but you will need to put the effort.

Great professor. Took 210 with her and will take her 310. Loved her teaching style . She breaks down a difficult topic and makes it understandable. Was expecting a B and got an A-. I worked my b... off for the final exam. Goes over lots of problems in class. Dont skip lectures !

Take her! dont skip class, do the graded assignments. 2 midterm, 1 final exam, 3 quiz, 5HW,5 graded assignments. She drops the lowest grades. Dont expect an easy A . Need to put effort to pass.

Prof. Diouf is an amazing instructor who genuinely cares about her students and wants them to pass. She will definitely make you work for a grade, but if she sees that you work hard, she will do her best to help you. You will leave the semester being more knowledgeable and analytical. Definitely recommend.

Tough class. You have to come to every class or you will fail. Professor is extremely knowledgeable. She was a little hardcore in the beginning but eased up by the middle of the semester. She says practice, practice, practice and she is right. If you pay attention, take good notes, do the HW/case studies and practice you will get a good grade.

She's a great choice for BUS 210. Due to Covid-19 we had to go online halfway through the semester and she posted her own lectures on the material for us to learn so it wasn't too different from how it would be in class. She is caring and wants you to succeed and you can ask her any questions, she will help!

I had her for BUS210 online and BUS310. I confirm that she is a great choice ! She is caring but she is not a pushover. She is clear policies that she follows. She is helpful and she replies promptly to emails.

This is a tough course but the classes were enjoyable with Dr. Diouf . We practiced a lot in class that was really helpful. and she managed to keep the practice problems when we went online. TAKE HER!!!!!

I took this class online and actually liked it. She structures it in a way that makes it easy to learn the material. You'll learn a TON about excel.

Honestly, I didn't like Professor Diouf AT FIRST, but she turned out to be a really good teacher. She's very nice and knowledgeable, and teaches with as much detail and organization as possible. She also makes supplementary videos on blackboard to help out students with homework. You GOT to show up to pass though.

Hands down the best professor I have had at GMU. She really knows how to teach and everything I learned sticks with me. However, you should try and miss as few classes as the lectures are super imortant. You dont even need to read the book, just show up to class and LISTEN, which is what you should be doing anyways tbh

She knows how to teach, the concept can be tough, but her HW assignments are very helpful - I referred back to them a lot to prep for exams - allows 1 3x5 index card for exam, wont take attendance, but her lectures are VERY important. 2 midterms and final, case study, conceptual quizzes on lockdown + webcam, if you study you'll get the A

It is not hard if you put the work into it. But her grading system can be harsh. I like how her materials are laid out and organized in and out of class. She kind of goes quick with materials. She is very nice and helpful to me. I hate the case study project. I feel like I need enough time to grasp all from beginning

this is one of the classes where i had to learn when I had ANY down time. Statistics in itself isn't easy and she did a good job explaining materials. she provides lecture recordings on BB that helps with revision. Lecture is really heavy and there are a lot of materials thrown to you at once. She is very strict so be well behaved. No team projects

Dr. Diouf is one of the best professors at Mason. She is intelligent and knows how to teach. Her online modules are very well organized and she posts hw after to show u what you did right and wrong. Great feedback on Exams and Case Study. She cares about all her students. Take her, you won't regret it!

Participation isn't required but is necessary if you want to pass. During the lecture, she goes through the slides and does various practice problems. These practice problems are crucial because she goes over them step by step using excel, and are very similar to the homework/exams. Exams are challenging but you're allowed a prewritten index card.

I thought Professor Diouf organized the course in a way that made it very easy to understand and keep up with. She posts online video lectures, plenty of examples, and follows a clear schedule. The exams really follow what we do in class and you can bring a notecard for it. She's not a super warm fuzzy teacher but she's nice and respectful.

Professor was organized, and clear on grading. No late assignments accepted. Professor is a fast grader. As long as you complete your assignments and take notes, you should pass with an A. The last few chapters were hard to understand but take good notes and ask questions to have a clear understanding.

Bus 310 is hard with any professor but with Dr. Diouf its super interesting I failed the class before with other professor but with her I really understand the materials so well. Any mason student looking for a 310 class take her she knows the best what she is teaching she is very straightforward and replies to emails ASAP extra credit exists so not too hard to pass she might sound cold but she is not she is willing to help students at her best if you are weak with statistic take her take a lesson from the best

if you want to really learn, this is the class for you. she is a great professor, i even considered changing my major to bus analytics. if you're lazy, this is not a class for you, you will fail easily. SIMPLE.

I liked this professor. Her homework isn't hard and all her exams are open note. Not an easy A, but extra credit opportunities and open note exams helps you pass the class. As long as you complete every assignment, and take detailed notes from her lectures, you'll be able to pass her class.

I was a but nervous to take her class, but after completing the semester with her, I was honestly surprise by how excellent her lectures are especially her videos. The exams aren't too hard if you put enough effort in studying not to mention can bring an index card. As long as you attedn class and do the work, you will do fine.

Great professor and class! The homework is exactly like the exams which are open book, as long as you watch her lectures and do the homework you are set for the exams. Multiple extra credit opportunities provided as long as you complete all of the assignments on time. She will meet/help you out over zoom if you have any questions on the material!

Clear schedule, when to do quiz, exams. I love to take her class really enjoy it. As long as you follow the schedule, do hw, understand the problems, you will get an A. She gives some practices before exam, which is the same structure as exam. Give you so many chance to have extra credit. Will take her again.

She provided the template for u which is helpful, and much better than other templates I have seen. She makes everything so easy that you don't even need to be good at Excel or stat to do this class. TAKE HER!!!!!

She is very good at explaining complicated concepts in easy to understand ways. This isn't an easy class but I appreciate her structure and accountability. Assignments/ exams are graded very quickly. She is fair and provides exercises and practice that are exactly like the exam. If you actually want to learn, not just easy A, take her.

Excellent professor and her expertise on statistics shows. Clear requirements, relevant+simple assignments that aren't an overload. Straight forward exam without surprises. She's pretty serious but friendly. :) Keep in mind that while you don't want to, you MUST volunteer to read and/or do questions in class to get full participation credit though.

The material can seem daunting, but as long as you attend each class and participate, you'll learn the material without a problem (And get a good grade), as she is great at teaching the material. There are three exams (She also gives out bonus points for each), five quizzes, and thirteen Excel HWs (The HWs and quizzes are easy if you go to class).

BUS 310 is difficult regardless of the GMU professor. There is a lot of information and limited lecture time. You will be required to study. Show up to lectures and take notes. Read the textbook and PowerPoints. DO NOT FALL BEHIND IN THIS CLASS. Professor Diouf is an excellent teacher. I would definitely take this professor for other GMU courses.

This is my first year at GMU and she is one of the best professors I've had so far. I took 210 with a different professor who I didn't learn much from but she helped bridge the gaps in my learning. She is a little strict but I respect her rules and she makes them clear from day 1. She also gives templates you can use on the exam that are helpful.

If you get a chance, TAKE HER. As long as you lock in and watch her weekly videos, you will be successful in this course. She goes straight to the point with all the material and provides with Excel ready sheets that you simply plug numbers into. There are 4 discussion boards to talk about what you have learned in the module. She is awesome.

Great professor. Though the transition from 210 to 310 is extremely large I genuinely enjoyed this class significantly more than 210, even if it was way harder. Professor Diouf was extremally well knowledgeable about the information in class. Would 100% take her class again.

Prof. Diouf is an amazing teacher, she really wants you to succeed. Class is not easy so don't expect an easy A you have to work for it, attend the lectures and do all the hw. she gives extra credits in the lectures so if you miss them there is no way you can make up for it. You will develop new excel skills. Overall loved the class.

Professor Diouf wastes no time during class and is very responsive to e-mail. She has office hours by appointment, which is great. I recommend coming to class at least five minutes early to have everything set up for the 10-minute quizzes. It is also important to follow along during class exercises. Good luck.

Diouf is great. She's very straight-forward and makes the content make sense. The content of the class will get hard at some points and she won't hold your hand through it. She delivers her part and you have to show up and do your part. She has a slight accent but not bad. She wouldn't be my first pick (2nd to Garcia), but def an amazing professor.

There's homework due every sunday with unlimited retries. Exams are open note and similar to the homeworks. Discussion boards for every module (4 total), which she's a little harsh on grading and you need to be very specific, but other she gives extra credit for an average of 80% on homework. Very good professor!

She's a great professor and knows her stuff, unfortunately her teaching is way too fast for me. Lost in class and after class. Got an A so far, but I can't catch up with her. Nice class

Had Diouf for Fall 24. Overall this class is an easy A if you show up to the lectures, do the practice problems in the lectures, and study the practice quizzes on Blackboard. As long as you can do the homeworks on your own without assistance, you will get an A on the exams. The practice problems in the lectures are almost the same as the homeworks.

Professor Diouf's teaching is thorough, and I felt the class pace is great. Participation is important, and attending class is necessary to pass. The course is manageable with relevant homework and practice problems. There's also a discussion board (for participation grade) for those who don't want to participate in class.

DO NOT SKIP CLASS. Three tests, all come with practice exams that are very similar to the test. The material and homeworks are not hard at all as long as you pay attention and, again, DO NOT SKIP CLASS. She cares about her students, gives three late hw passes, and opportunities for extra credit on exams as long as you DONT SKIP CLASS.

Professor seems very strict, but if you go to class and participate, you will do well in the class. You can bring an index card to exams and study guides are SUPER useful for the tests. There are 12 quizzes spread out through the semester and plenty of extra credit opportunities if you go to class. Bad reviews are probably people who barely tried..

This was my favorite class this semester. Dr. Diouf is great! I enjoyed her class. She explains the concepts very well and engage with students. She answered my emails within an hour or less. She has policies that she laid out very clearly in the beginning of the semester. You just need to follow them and you will be ok.

Dr. Diouf was an excellent professor for BUS 310. The course content seems daunting at first, but she divides the modules into 3 clear units. If you feel worried because you didnt learn much in Analytics 1, don't worry- almost all the 310 content is new and easily learnable. She allows a flash card on exams which helps A TON!Put in some effort = A.

The only reason people give her bad reviews is because they don't do the work. She is an amazing professor if you want to learn the material. If you don't want to learn and get easy exams go find the professor who lets people use google during exams. If you go to class and pay attention and ask her questions you will learn!!!!!! She's great :)
