Amazing Instructor!!

Great teacher and made the class super fun. Lectures were kind of boring because it was all talking and no participation. Gives TONS of bonus opportunities and plays fun games that further explains material in the class.

ABSOLUTELY LOVE HER!! she makes class interesting when the material is pretty boring. She provides plenty of help and examples and is always available to her students. Shes kind of corny, but super funny and easy to get along with. The only way to not pass this class is to not do the work. She will drop you for excessive absent days.

BEST CLASS I HAVE EVER TAKEN!!! she makes everyone comfortable enough so you won't be nervous to present in front of your peers! Grades easy and gives lots of bonus opportunities ! your crazy if you don't take her ! Easy A!!! very nice and funny. Would definitely take again!!!

Fay Boudreaux! honestly, the best professor I've had for one of my generals! She is understanding, and will listen to you every need. She will work with you through every assignment. There's only two ways to fail this class: not asking for help , and not doing your work. She's hilarious, and will explain everything word for word. Thank you Fay!

She is honestly the best teacher ever!!! She tells you exactly what you need & when... The field experience is fun(time-consuming... but easy & clear). TAKE MS. FAY!!!! We played such fun games. She is literally the best professor that I have ever had! You have to participate in order to do well but she is so fun and her personality is to amazing that you want to participate. I would highly recommend her to anyone!!!

She really makes an effort to care about her students and is very understanding of certain circumstances! If you show up to class and do the field hours you will definitely pass. Can get off topic easily, but usually has a good time in class. Would recommend to a friend.

She is honestly a very good instructor. -gives good feedback -funny -interacts with students in a friendly matter her class may seem laid back and like an easy A, but effort MUST be put in order to receive a good grade. also, I stress TURN THING IN ON TIME one thing she can't stand is late work.

Miss Fay is super easy. Make you you attend class to get your participation points. There are multiple bonus opportunities available. As long as you submit your assignments on time and attend class you should be fine!

She's a great teahcer. the class is easy to pass. Do all your assignments, make sure you get your observation/direct teaching hours thats very important. shes a very lenient, but do not take advantage of her. she's very hard working and tries to be as fair as possible. turn in all assignments in on time and you should be fine.

She's a pretty good prof and was super funny. She gives great feedback on her assignments so you pretty much always know what to do and she reminds you of deadlines in class. Speaking of deadlines if you miss a deadline you wont be able to participate in the other graded parts of that speech, which can bomb your grade. That's only real problem had.

Is a really good professor. Cared about her students and kept track of who was missing class and why. Clear grading, but if you miss this first submission, you'll lose points for the entire speech.

This class was the best class I have ever been in. Miss Fay is so reasonable with assignments and makes the class enjoyable. At the beginning of the class, we were all strangers and by the end, we were all friends. Miss Fay was the best teacher I could have asked for. I got an A on every speech and her final is easy because it is online and she basically gives you the answers. She is always available and understanding. I mean we played games & got to know each other throughout the semester. Don't be fooled by the Mostly CAPS Syllabus. Also as soon as she says Field Experience, do it! Schools are hard to get in to.

I was super nervous to take a communication class but she made it painless! LOVE this teacher and highly recommend taking her. She's very understanding and compassionate and super sweet.

Great professor. Gave great feedback and communicated well with her students. I wish the feedback on outlines were given back quicker because i had already performed the speech by the time i was given feedback corrections. She was flexible and understanding with technology or weather issues. Easy A if you read her handouts and examples.

Ms. Fay cares about her students and how well they do on their assignments. She makes sure that they receive feedback on their speeches, so they can be ready for performance day. She plays ice breaker games, but aren't mandatory to do. She also plays fun games for extra credit. During class on lecture days we are given a thorough lessons and tips.

I took her for COMM 210 and for each speech, she walks you through exactly what to do and how to write your speeches. She posts a speech outline template on Moodle to where all you have to do is fill in the blanks. She posts all her quiz and lectures online that extremely easy gimme grades.

This teacher is AMAZING!!! She is so hilarious and makes the class so much fun. The classwork is easy if you stay on top of your work and pay attention. I would take her again in a heartbeat.

Ms. Fay is a fantastic professor. You will love this class! She creates a supportive and fun environment that is open to speeches of all kinds and development of public speaking skills without judgment. There is a fair amount of course work, but it is relatively spaced out so it's not too bad, and she never lets you forget deadlines. Take it!

Reading some of these other reviews, I can tell that Ms. Fay definitely has improved over the past semester. For my class, she had everything outlined and ready for us on day 1, including deadlines, assignments, etc. She's super specific about everything and is happy to answer questions.

I loved Ms. Fay. she was so amazing and caring and understanding of all circumstances. Her assignments and grading are always super clear. And if you're ever not sure about anything you can ask her and she'll make sure she responds to all of your concerns. I honestly wish I could have her as my teacher all the time

Miss Fay is an amazing teacher, post all her lectures and quizzes at the beginning of semester. Had 3 speeches but she didn't grade hard. My only problem was that she takes a while to respond to emails and rarely update grades. But overall one of my favorites

The class is easy, so long as you complete all of the assignments, & I'd say she gives a moderate amount of assignments. A lot of people are saying they had difficulty reaching her, but I never had trouble.

Ms. Fay is an awesome COMM teacher! She is spunky, kind, and really cares about her student's success. I took her class when COVID-19 happened, and she was EXTREMELY understanding if something was late, etc. She gives CLEAR instructions and expects you to follow them because she cares. Ms. Boudreaux was a wonderful professor for COMM 210. I enjoyed her lecture videos, and I am planning on incorporating some of the techniques in my future classroom. If you participate and keep up with the deadlines (she was super flexible, especially since we are in the middle of a pandemic), you will receive an A. This class was super easy.

Miss Boudreaux was such a good teacher! Worked well with her students but you have to be careful to be super specific on your outlines. Overall enjoyed the class and would take again. She answered emails quickly and would work with anyone who needed extra help and instruction!

She is down to earth and personable! You can tell she cares about her students. You will have 3 speeches, and she does fun activities in class. I would definitely recommend her. She makes learning enjoyable!

Ms. Fay did a wonderful job staying in touch with the class and making sure we stayed on track during this uncanny semester. She was extremely accommodating and flexible. I felt like I was bothering her with all of my emails, but she answered each one quickly and really helped me a lot. We even video chatted once. She's so funny, nice, and helpful!

She is a very enthusiastic person who wants you to succeed, and she was very generous with allowing me extra time to hand in some assignments. There is always something due, (peer critiques, topic proposals, etc.) so just stay consistent and you will be fine. As long as you try, she will be generous with her grading.

Took her for COMM210 online and loved it! She is super understanding and will push back due dates need be. Shes super helpful, funny, caring, and keeps her lecture videos interesting! I definitely recommend taking her!!

Take the assignments seriously and pay attention because even though Professor Boudreaux makes this class really simple by breaking everything down, she goes over some significant topics that could really help you in your personal life. Especially take the Improving Self Concept assignment seriously. She makes sure her assignments are beneficial.

I honestly have nothing but respect for Miss Fay. She has had some serious personal problems but even while they were happening, she would respond to emails and give the class reminders when she could. Grades were in pretty quickly and the final had a study guide that was given to us since the beginning of the semester. I enjoyed every class period

Don't be afraid to speak up in class, everyone is nervous and shy but once one person gets the ball rolling it becomes easier for everyone as a whole.

You get out of the class what you put in it, and that's something that she always says. As long as you do hw, show up to class and do your speeches, you have an easy A. She gives bonus activities, and she's fun to listen to. Definitely, take her.

Professor Beaudreaux is great! She has a ton of assignments that are super easy so if you miss one or two you won't fail. You need to come to class because she has a lot of in-class assignments that are for like 10 points, but they add up quickly. She posts her lecture notes to Moodle so you don't need to take notes. Definitely take her if you can!

I loved Professor Boudreaux and really enjoyed her class! She is very good at interacting and making sure the whole class gets involved. I truly think that my speech delivery skills improved a lot with her class and would definitely take her again!

I recommend this professor. I was nervous about this class because Im not good at Public speaking. She helped me grow, in so many ways.

Anyone who has given her less than a 5 must be a student who didn't want to do any work. It is a communications class so yes there are speeches. Nothing to difficult, we watched her lectures online and took short quizzes which could have been done without watching the lectures. If I could take her every semester, I would.

She is a great person she is willing to work with you if you miss something just have to work with her. She will give you tips on how to talk to a group of people and just life advice.

I hate public speaking but Ms. Fay made it so much fun. I loved this class just because of the way we would goof off in class and have her join in. She is super sweet and understanding if you miss class or are late.

Very easy class, mainly activities, and lectures over given notes. Quiz weekly, midterm and final, all online and open-book. You learn interesting topics important for communication.

Ms. Fay is great! Just show up and you are guaranteed an A, she doesn't grade based on how good your speech was, rather the contents of the speech. lots of assignments sprinkled throughout the class besides your 4 speeches.

This course was so easy online. All speeches were recorded from your home and her instructions were very clear. She was a pretty easy grader too - I am not great with public speaking and was nervous to take this class, and I got an A on every speech. Gave bonus as well.

This class was an amazing 8am! The classroom environment was warm and welcoming. I have made so many friends in this class and met so many people who have the same major as me. Ms. Fay is a phenomenal instructor and if she taught any other classes I would be taking them even if I did not have to!

Three speeches and a final exam, but due to the Moodler incident we only had two speeches this semester. Everything is extremely organized and she gives wonderful feedback. She tries hard to make the class personal and fun. Highly recommend.

One of my favorite professors. Really forgiving, especially if you have a good track record previously in the semester and is willing to work with you. Professor Boudreaux is very patient with her students. She knows how hard public speaking can be, and is more than willing to help her students if they stumble during a presentation. The lectures are boring, and she knows that, but they're mandatory. Everything is clearly labeled in Moodle and she is accessible outside of class.

Ms. Fay was so kind and made something so awkward so comfortable. Just do her little assignments and have fun with her class its an easy A if you do all she asks of you. Definitely had a soft spot for this course and was one of my favorites!

I took the term 1 course. The course is fast-paced and no breaks, however it is possible. The professor is very helpful and understanding. Easy to communicate with through email. Explains assignments very well. There is a speech video due basically every week, you are able to use notecards. Not a harsh grader, accepts late assignments.

Ms. Fay cares for her students and she wants them to succeed. She makes it clear what the student has to do in order to get the grade they want. Very easy Class.

I very much enjoyed this class. Pros for this class include getting to know people in my major, learning about new things through speeches, and teaching for a day. . Cons were that it was very hard to find speech topics. . My advice for future students is to not be shy, ask for help and support, make new friends and enjoy the class.

It isn't a lecture class and she keeps her class engaged. The only tests she has are the 2 question weekly quizzes and the final. There is kind of a lot to do leading up to each presentation, but if you stay on top of your work and don't slack off then you will keep up just fine. She's also just a cool and funny person/professor.

Great professor and class. The work does seem like a lot but if you stay on top of your priorities/ work then you'll be fine. There are weekly quizzes but if you look at the material associated with it then you'll pass every time. Work required for speeches is a lot but is VERY HELPFUL in the long run.

Take Ms. Boudreaux! If you're nervous about taking public speaking because you suck at it, you'll do just fine! There aren't too many assignments, but once you start your speeches there's more work to do. Very clear grading criteria, so if you put in the effort you'll do great. She's flexible & lax in grading as long as you FOLLOW THE REQUIREMENTS.

Mrs. Fay Boudreaux is a GREAT professor for this class. While their are many speeches and presentation, Mrs. Fay will walk/talk you through everything. She very understanding and flexible long as you communicate with her. This class is not only lectures but also very interactive.

Ms. Fay is an amazing professor and person! I loved her Honors COMM 2117 class this semester. While she is tough on grading speeches, there are plenty of points and activities to balance it out. For the honors course, speeches were based on our majors, which was a delightful touch. I was nervous about taking a speech class, but I'm so glad I did!

Something that I have learned from this class is how to provide a strong argument for my point. I've learned different way to argue my point through persuasive speaking, informative speaking, impromptu speaking, etc. Overall, I enjoyed this course.

This course was just brought back, so there may be changes to how she operates it. There is one group project that includes a paper, slideshow, and presentation. She does give out extra credit occasionally. Mainly uses in-class activities as grades and takes attendance. Her lectures are based off of the notes she uploads into Canvas. Super simple.

Professor Fay's COM210 class is engaging and enjoyable. While the workload can be intense, she's understanding and provides great support. I found Unstuck study super helpful for speech prep and quizzes - definitely a game-changer!

She is very empathetic towards peoples situations, and gives you extra time on work when need be. You can tell she is very passionate about not only her career, but also her students. She makes class time fun and inspirational.

Ms. Fay is absolutely amazing! I've taken her communicating in the classroom course and while there are many assignments, she does give grace and has clear expectations. Prepare to participate and get out of your comfort zone but also to laugh! Although there is a required textbook, I never used it. I would definitely take her class again!

Really soak in the experience. Try to complete the lectures and quizzes as soon as possible along with jotting down key points for the study guide. Pick the best time of day for themselves that the class is offered and be ready to get out of your comfort zone! Dr. Fay is amazing and willing to help you if you participate and communicate with her!

I was hesitant about the course due to Dr. Fay's enthusiasm for activities at first, but as someone who likes leaving class early when we are done with a lecture, it was fun ngl. Participation does matter in her class so be sure to show up. Overall I would take her a million times again if I could.

Do the work, be present in class. It is a fun class and you are missing out of you don't show! The workload is not hard, just overwhelming if you get behind. Max 2 assignments by the end of week is not bad, assignments are personal, allowing you to invest time into topics you genuinely care about. The lecture quizzes are easy.Overall a great class!

This teacher is amazing. She is very informative and upfront of what she expects of you. You have 3 major speeches that you have to participate in. Each of those speeches have 2 assignments tied to it. This is a very easy class to take as long as you show up.
