This is a college professor! If your looking for a pre-school type Spanish teacher, she is not for you. Prof. Rogg is a excellent professor and she is extremely demanding but she will definitely work with you. I highly recommend her for those that want a true experience. Homework every session, a quiz a week but you'll be ready for SPN 102!!!

She's a little intense, but I love her. If you pull your weight, she'll help you out when grading your tests, which she well preps you for.She doesn't take any crap, so be prepared to pay if you slack off, which just makes class miserable and really annoying for everyone.I'm not sure if I would follow as well if I hadn't had span before.Pace=fast.

Amazing. Not only is she an amazing lady with an interesting past and excellent education, but she is devoted and loves what she does.However, if you think you might slack off or fall behind, don't waste her time, b/c she won't let you.Class was fast-paced but on the level if you keep up.I recommend her if you are interested and willing to learn.

She's amazing and loves her students. She wants everyone to learn and will repeat things over and over again until you get it!!! She will not let you slack and if you do that's your own fault. She's great. There's a test like every other week or so. I mean it's really easy, when you study and pay attention. You'll be fine.

She is an extremely helpful professor, and cares a lot about her students. She will help you out on any occasion She could also be very rude. She tells the entire class your business and is very demanding. I didn't have a problem with her, but I've witnessed her do it time and time again. If your on her bad list you will be mentioned and yelled at.

She is a very demanding teacher, gives alot of homework, but because of this, I know more Spanish than ever before. Participation isn't an option, you have to open your mouth and read from the book. If you study and do the homework, you will ace her exams. As a teacher, I appreciate her techniques tremendously.

If you are serious about your education and you want to leave with an understanding of the course work that you've done: she is the professor for you.

This is a top-rate and experienced educator with a practically fool-proof method of presenting the material. If you stay on top of your work, and just put in the time, you shouldn't get less than a "B" in her class - it's up to you! Take good notes w/ page #'s, make flashcards and study the book. She gives you everything you need to succeed.

Listen, don't pay attention to all these negative comments about Prof Rogg. She is by far one of the most helpful and wonderful teachers in BMCC. It's rare to find a teacher who is actually willing to help her students. The majority of people giving her negative reviews probably never even tried in class. This is college people not H.S. grow up.

She very caring and helpful teacher to those that want to learn. The problem is not her it's the fact that the majority of BMCC students treat their classes like it's High School. It's college people, if you make the effort she's wonderful enough to make sure you get through it. Because of her teaching style I got an A in SPN 102 with ease.

This professor knows her stuff. She is arguably 1 of the finest teachers BMCC have ever seen. My only regret is that she only teaches span 1. She's very caring, helpful and makes spn2 look like a joke. Shame on those who will came here to LIE and say that she's not gud. I took this course during a summer session and it was beyond intense. As a 30+ male that never spoke a foreign language I thought I was in for a nightmare. Professor Rogg's care and dedication, and even her quirkiness, helped this guy get an A. Wonderful professor that obviously cares. My only complaint... instruct Spanish 2; come on!!! GO YANKS!!!

Prof. Rogg is one of the most caring individuals in BMCC. I was in her class in my first semester and she has been at my side for guidance throughout my career there. With her guidance I have been accepted to NYU, Mt.Holyoke, and St.John's Uni. Prof. Rogg is a gem that should be appreciated for how much she cares about all of her Students.

I found professor Rogg to be very helpful. Sh is not a hard professor at all. You just have to come to class prepared to learn. I vever failed one test in this class. I took spanish In the fall of 08 with Alicia Perdermo and her teachind methods are useless. I recieved a B+ in professor rogg class and I am not a spanish speaker.

Prof. Rogg is one of my most favorite professors. She was very helpful to me. All she wants is to see that you want to actually learn something. If a student doesn't do his/her work and comes to class unprepared all the time, there's nothing she can do. Although there's a lot to cover she never moved on without making sure that everyone got it.

I am a 51 yr old veteran student that took Spanish for the very first time, and found it to be very difficult, with a lot of material to learn and remember. I thank Prof. Rogg for her continuous and outstanding support during the course of the semester, in having the patience and understanding to help me better my study techniques and confidence.

She is a great professor! Very encouraging and engaging. She explains everything as many times as it takes, tells you how you're doing in the class but you have to do the work. If you keep up with the homework and assignments the class just flows perfectly. I absolutely recommend Prof. Rogg.

i didn't know anything in Spanish and in only 6 weeks in Spanish 101 with professor Fay Rugg ,i feel like i don't need the Spanish 102.she cover everything carefully and make sure that we all understand before moving on.She got a great understanding.only thing you got to do is study,do your homework and your online exercises on time for practice.

Outstanding prof. Excellent at explaining grammar! Insists on correct pronunciation. This was my first ever Spanish class. Took it for 6 weeks in summer. It was intense!!! I STUDIED hard for MANY hours, specially the verbs. Got an "A " in course & learned Spanish. If you want to learn Spanish, take Prof. Rogg. I strongly recommend her.

She can be a bit cranky at times but only towards people who are distracting or don't pay attention. You have ti give her your full divided attention. On the other hand she is very helpful and if you don't understand something she will thoroughly go through it with you again until you understand.

Professor Rogg is an excellent teacher. She really helped me learn Spanish. It is never easy learning a new language, but she made the process of learning it as simple as possible. An EXCELLENT professor! She deserves double the credit for dealing with students who were very disruptive in class. Even so, she made sure everyone had the tools to learn Spanish and get an A as long as they put the effort in. I took the summer 2016 session 1 course--6 weeks--with Professor Rogg and my family and friends have been amazed at the amount of Spanish I've learned! Really nice professor. Well organized, little more homework than others, but these homework help to acquire more knowledge, and boost learning process.
