Very easy teacher!!! she's fun and full of energy. Sometimes a little nuts but it makes it more interesting. A little harsh on grading papers, but lets you revise just about anything you want for a better grade. Just do all the essays and you'll be set. No boring videos or hard tests.

I absolutely enjoyed her class and would totally take her again. She helps you so much develop your writing on a whole new level. You always have an opportunity to revise your work and you can always ask for her feed back on drafts before you turn in the final essay.

I am taking Prof Pelosi for ENC1101 & signed up for ENC1102 with her as well! There's classwork that can be done alone/with a group. She is very helpful & always willing to teach & go over things. She gives you plenty of details & instructions when it comes to writing your essays and how they should be written! Just do your work& you can get an A!

Ms. Pelosi is well respected, shes very open minded, and she truly wants to see all of her students succeed. Theres many group activities where you get to interact with your peers. She gives you chance after chance to bring up your grade and shes funny as hell. I would highly recommend her shes super layed back theres no test or etc mainly CW

Easy class as long as you do the 3 essays (the last one is basically the final) offers extra credit ps do revisions if needed. Ask for help if needed she understands. The book isn't needed unless you need help with citations.

Great professor. There are only 3 essays (last one being the final). Attendance does count so make sure you do come to class, it is a participation grade as well. 750-1000 words for each essay, that is it! Inspiring, caring, and will meet with you even after class to discuss your assign. I've also taken Professor Pelosi for ENC1102. Recommend!

Very easy class, and she is willing to work with you if something comes up. She has strict rules that she enforces, but she constantly reminds everyone of them so if you slip up you really only have yourself to blame.

Super chill. Makes you work for the grade but is super down to Earth about everything. Pay attention and she gives plenty of time for students to write their essays! She's an honest grader!!

She lets you out early. Grades consist of 3 essays the third one is your final. Most of the class time is used on preparing a thesis for your essays. Every class there's group work to talk about different articles related to the topics of the essays you are going to write. Extra credit is given for showing a talent you have or reading your essay.

Three 750-1000 word essays. Meet with her after class with your essay outline/ draft-- this definitely helped me earn As on every essay because she gives great feedback. Doing this for each essay even excluded me from writing the final essay since I did well on the other two. AND WHY NOT TAKE WRITING ADVICE FROM THE PERSON GRADING YOUR ESSAY!

While this class isn't that difficult. you have to work for your grade. I think the best part about her class is that she believes in her students, and goes out of her way to help her students.

Very laid back professor. The class consisted mainly POD's which are questions she would have on the board and you would have to answer them, group work, an essay, a project and the final paper. Very easy. I would HIGHLY recommend her.

We had to write 2 papers the entire semester. They were on any topic and format we wanted to do. She gave us ample time to get everything done. You can tell she really loves her job and she's very enthusiastic. Overall it was an easy and great class.

She is adorable and a fantastic professor. We only had 2 writing assignments for the entire semester. As long as you actually try on the writings, you'll do fine. She will give you great feedback on your assignments and what you need to improve on. I highly recommend taking her class. She is awesome!

This is the best teacher ever if you do the work and put in the effort. All answers are correct as long as they are original. I felt so happy and comfortable in this class. It is sad that students who don't make any effort or read the syllabus correctly made bad reviews because this was the best teacher I've had so far.

Be sure to read the syllabus before enrolling. I did the most work but learned the most in this class then went on to take LIT with this professor, but you have to do the work and read.

I really enjoyed lesson one and thought it was very simple to navigate. In the beginning, I was having trouble and was a bit overwhelmed but I got the hang of it. Learning about the professor, course, and Blackboard was very helpful for my future in the class. I am very happy to be in this class and learn from Professor Pelosi.

This teacher is a machine MVP! She grades everything right away with lots of feedback and a rubric so you have plenty of time to revise and perfect your work before the next lesson. The reading choices are so fun and all answers are correct. Great Class!!

I am so thankful for the video instructions the professor makes. I helps so much, as well as gets straight to the point. I was able to do my draft essay very easily, due to the outline and steps prior to this assignment. The Professor was right, it is like adding on to work already submitted. I am grateful, I think my writing has improved.

Most professors just give a grade and you have to wait weeks to get grades back, but this professor is incredible - she leaves loads of feedback, provides a rubric, and always has my assignments graded within a week so I can get better. There are so few assignments I can take my time to perfect them before turning them in.

Great directions, loads of examples, free tutoring, and she met with me every week to conference my assignments and help me during her office hours so make sure my work matched the rubric. She only grades based on the rubric and never her own opinion, so I always feel fairly graded. Lots of help if you ask for it. Really hard subject!

This is the best class I have taken in college I am so sad it is my last semester and this professor doesn't teach any other classes I need to graduate. Any idea I had was correct none of my thoughts were wrong it was so easy and felt so good to just be able to express myself BUT you have to cite and meet the requirements. I love this class.

Got to attend class. Don' walk listening to music or being on your phone. Besides those things she is great. Very helpful and will go over the material until you understand. She use to end my classes a hour early and if you needed help on your papers she would stay and sit with you for two hours if needed to help. I would take her again any time.

I took some extra time with Professor Pelosi and she was a big help. I recommend having one or two session with her even if you're doing good in the class, she's amazing and gives a lot of good tips. She is also patient and kind and really wants to succeed, at least that's how she made me feel. Grateful.

Most helpful professor ever. Really difficult grading because the rubric very detailed, but there is so many helpful videos and examples and tutors on line at the lab and library are amazing they check all your assignments before they are due to make sure you get a good grade and learn. Best class I ever took. Professor grades assignments within a few days so I always know how to improve. Gives amazing examples and will meet with you in conferences even for a fully online class. It is so fun because there are no wrong answers as long as you express your personal opinions. SO fun!

I felt like this class was an escape, like a vacation you look forward to. The readings are so easy but have so much meaning and the assignments are so easy and have clear examples, it is impossible to not get an A in the class and if I had questions, the professor would meet with me in the course room online. Felt like reading and journaling fun.

I can not believe that we are at the end of the semester already. I really enjoyed the class I learned so much! I wrote some of my favorite papers on some of my most favorite topics. The best class of my life, but most challenging. Skills I learned I'll use forever. A real college class. If lazy or procrastinate, DO NOT TAKE. I learned more in this class than any other class but had to work harder than I've ever worked.

One of the most fantastic professors I have ever taken. She genuinely cares about her students, will pull out all the stops to make sure that you're getting all the help you need. If I could take her again, it's a yes :) She does use a textbook for her ENC1101 + 1102 classes, but she really only references it as a writing guide to your essays.

I've never taken an online class before and it is a lot of work to do by myself but she meets with me when I email her for help and she grades work really really fast with lots of really good feedback so you know what to work on before moving on to the next lesson. Hello I have been at PBSC for three semesters (since summer). I took Professor Pelosi last semester for ENC1101 and loved her class so much that I chose her for ENC1102 as well!

Attendance Policies: If you have not logged into ALL of your Blackboard courses and completed all the START HERE activities by the last day of "Drop/Add" for the current term, you will be dropped from the course as "Never Attended." This is in the syllabus and I almost was dropped but she was nice enough to email me a warning. I'm very thankful!

Most helpful professor with easiest videos to follow. Its clear from bad reviews they are all from maybe 1 or 2 of the same students who never made an effort. She gave me an extension when I was sick and helped me with my financial aid because I made a mistake and paid too much for the book and she helped me get a refund.

I am in a fully online class, so I am supposed to be 100% independent, but I have needed some help this semester and my work schedule is really late - she took the time to meet with me in Zoom whenever I needed her as long as I emailed her a day or so in advance and it helped me feel so confident I really was grateful for the extra time she takes.

I've never had a professor put all of her videos online and send so many helpful announcements and make time to meet with me. This has been the easiest class that made it so fun because any time I thought I didn't understand something, her videos made everything so clear and easy. I just had to make the time to watch them.

This is a really hard class because she has real college standards, so I was scared, but then she makes so much time to help you and has all these videos and instructions if I just use my time to really study, it has been so easy and I see myself getting so much better and becoming a college writer instead of high school.

Mad respect for all the resources she gives out. Surprised to see any bad reviews. Those students must be mad they didnt try hard enough and didnt earn a good grade. Shes got videos and does live workshops and has tutors its so helpful.

Dont cheat. Shell catch you. Even 1 word. A student tried to cheat off my work and she caught them and fixed me grade and failed the other student. Really fair professor. Other professors just fail you and dont care. She took a lot of time to make sure I earned my grade. Dont cheat. Too easy a class to cheat.

I struggled a lot with writing, and she was always so helpful when I emailed her, she met with me in Zoom and also had hour long workshops you could log into every week. There was a lot of support and helpful videos it just takes a lot of time to go through everything but she makes it so easy if you watch the videos and do all the practice.

Her instructional videos and instructions are so clear it makes this class so much fun because even though it is a lot of work, I always know what is expected of me and how I am graded. I can't believe there are negative comments at all about this teacher those students must have made no effort or cheated. I'm a single mom with 2 kids and I did it.

Mistakenly mis-rated Prof. Pelosi in September for this course. While there is a very lot of homework, there are only two papers that need to be completed. Papers are graded both through NetTutor and by Professor Pelosi. The work itself is easy enough, and she cares about her students understanding.

She was a great teacher who looked out for her students. I could tell she cared; she always reached out and was happy to help if needed. Would definitely recommend.

Prof. Pelosi is great! Despite what any of the other ratings may say! She is very gracious when it comes to grading, speak to her and she'll allow you to redo an assignment if need be. Her lectures may be a bit repetitive, but she wants to ensure you understand what you are seeing. NET TUTOR WILL BE YOUR BFF! Very flexible as it is a hybrid course.

Yes she does assign a lot but if you email her and talk to her she can help rearrange and assist you the best to her ability. I had a really great bond with her simply because she heard me and my situation and showed compassion in my time of need. I defintely recommend talking her if your not complete good at APA. One of my favorite teachers.

Thus, being my second time taking her I really enjoyed the writing assignments that were given. Yes there was a lot of assignments but you can move ahead at your own pace or even complete it all on your own its all up to . Just complete by due date. Very compassionate woman and definitely understands life happens. Gives great essay feedback as well

Professor Pelosi is an excellent teacher. She genuinely cares about her students and wants to see you succeed. She is very understanding and if you speak to her on wanting a better grade on something, she will work with you. The assignments were straightforward and I really enjoyed the essays we had to write. I recommend taking her class.

Anyone who rates this professor negatively clearly didn't read or do the course work or neglected to simply be a good human being and reach out to her. She is so caring and goes above and beyond for her students even online. People on this site who have bad stuff to say probably did badly because they didn't read and use all the easy resources.

Any student who rates this professor poorly probably never read instructions or reached out to her for help. She puts everything, more than enough resources and her own videos online for us to get help, the only way to do badly in this class is to try and cheat or to not make the time to do the work. It is hard, but she is super supportive.

She has so many videos that are really helpful and the course is open to how we see the readings - there is no reason to cheat. It is actually enjoyable and if you read the instructions, it is really easy, it just takes making the time to complete everything. She is always there in TEAMS to meet remotely.

Super helpful professor. The class is really challenging, but the resources are at your own pace and there are a lot of helpful links. She even met with me in TEAMS when I needed help even though it is an online class. She is a tough grader and holds high standards but is really there to help. I'm going to take her LIT class next.

All coursework is done on MindTap. She to me is tough via email but I know it's all love and she wants us to succeed in her class The class is very simple to complete. She sends almost weekly emails to remind us that she is always there to help, definitely reach out if you need it. I would take her again!

2nd time w/ prof Pelosi. She is honestly great and she is really open with communication if you have questions or need help. This time I took her 100% online and still had zero issues. You will have a lot of assignments but I took 6 classes, work full time, and Im a parent and still never fell behind. I enjoy the essays she has us write too. 10/10.

Most supportive and helpful professor. Always there when I reached out for help. Communicated really well with instructional guides for all assignments and made videos to helps us understand everything, just had to make the time to look at all the stuff and go to class. Sends helpful emails and reminders and announcements all the time.

She is really nice and communicative. Her fully online class was so easy. The whole semester she only had us write four essays and it's usually on personal experience not a specific topic. At the end she dropped 8 of my lowest grades. I didn't even ask for that she's just like that. Her work is also really easy, it's usually just multiple choice.
