He is a very kind hardworking instructor with a good heart. You can actually see that he loves teaching and has patience of a saint. I really love coming to his class. He makes it interesting and fun.

I had this professor for comp I and I had to get him again for Comp II because it was just a laid back class and easy. I recommended this class to a co-worker of mine and now we have the same class together in Comp II... AWESOME!!!

Best professor and instructor I ever had. Yes, he talks a lot.. but he knows what he talks about. He encourage everyone to improve, very understanding with students with English as a second language. I learn a lot in his class. If you can, take him for ENC1101 or ENC1102.

I thought writing was my worst subject, but I learned its not so bad. He really wants all his students to learn not just pass his class. I am not required to take ENC1102, but I will if he teaches the course. Yes, he does talk alot... its what makes him REAL! Take him if you can believe me you won't regret it. SEE YOU IN ENC1102!

Professor Jhingree is awesome! One of my favorite teachers :D Yes, he does talk about his little girl a lot and he goes off topic sometimes, but he knows his stuff. He's fair in grading and wants to see his students succeed. He's very nice and understanding. He has a good heart and means well. I actually find him entertaining.

Took for English 2. Hes not hard at all read the stories and write about them. He VERY NICE. But he does talk alot and gets off track. But he is not a bad teacher he is very good.

This guy knows EVERYTHING about writing and english. He was somewhat hard to understand at first because of his accent but wasnt too bad. Took him durning the summer for ENC1102, oh my gosh! lol. He pushes you because he truly does believe in his students. Learned alot. Was it easy? No. Was it worth it Yes. Turned in 6 papers, got only 2 A's. Failed the midterm, still got an A in the class.

Summer class was so fast pace. there as so much to cover and Prf. Jhingree try his best to cover evrything, which he did. Yes he loves talking but he is very intelligent and knows English "in side out", he can recite all the poems and quotatins ofdf his head. Very smart....a lot of writingcomplete....overall...excellent and youwill learn a lot

This professor really knows a lot about everything he teaches. Class was entertaining and you always learned something new. Essays were not impossible to write but they weren't easy either.

I took him for dual enrollment and he was pretty chill, I'm a pretty decent writer so I got A's on most of my papers (which weren't very many). He does talk a lot about things you probably don't care about, but he let us use our books on the final so I wasn't going to pay much attention anyways. I failed the midterm, got an A on the final.

The professor's obvious enthusiasm for English and for learning in general makes for an exciting, engaging course. I am now much more skilled and confident not only in writing, but also in understanding and interpreting literature. The tremendous benefit of being able to read and understand texts and apply them to my life is now starkly apparent.

This professor is EXCELLENT!! you will have to put some work into his papers, but you will be compensate for it. Love it! in the beginning a little lost in class, until 5 lectures in, no sign of due date for 1st paper. Excellent class.

This Professor is so fluent, and so intelligent, maybe he knows the entire dictionary, all poems he will teach without any book, he is a tough grader but will learn so much, besides teaching you will learn so much, a great role model, those who wrote bad things are the ones with bad grades....

He is not here for a pay check. Super easy class, he knows his stuff and helps you understand what English really and focus on understanding than just writing a paper. No real homework, papers are minimum. He talks a lot and doesn't keep you in class late. He is super smart

Professor Jhingree gives amazing lectures without keeping you there for long. he assigns minimal work and gives helpful feedback. He grades based on improvement, which can get a little confusing. Even though he is a little unorganized, he is an inspiration and an amazing professor. Would take him again!

It is very possible to get an "A". This prof will grade your work and give it back to you with inputs on how to improve it, so that you can rework it and get a better grade. The only way not to get an 'A' is if you are lazy. Highly recommend

Professor Jhingree is a learned person. . His teaching style is a bit unorthodox. The class itself is difficult, there are a few papers and essays however; after this class your writing will drastically improve. This class focuses on writing college papers, my only regret is that i didn't take him sooner.

Every class feels like a TED talk. I've experienced a major paradigm shift. Great teacher overall gives about 4-5 essays, grades them, then provides feedback.

Very good teacher, he really cares about teaching. If you show up and do the assignments you will pass. He usually runs about a half hour late to each class and the papers were not that difficult. Just pay attention and do what he asks and you will get an A.

He actually makes you learn unlike many professors. There were 4-5 essays that were easy to complete unless you are a lazy student. He rants a lot but you learn from his past experiences. If you take him at night, he will not keep you there for the entire period. It's a great class if you are wanting to learn and better your English.

Not a bad choice, may get off topic at times but jumps right back to teaching in an instant, if you don't understand something cut him off and ask he won't mind. He also teaches the "do's and don'ts" in writing so take notes (he may check) , very few (easy)tests and you could re do work if you dislike the grade u got. very decent man and professor

I took Jhingree in the summer and it was very easy. I honestly hate writing so I was happy he only assigned 2 papers for the entire summer (1 of them being the final). He goes very in depth with explaining what he wants in each paper in order to get a good grade. Also if you take a night class he'll let the class out early.

Professor Jhingree is a good teacher. He's very fair and very straight to the point. His lectures are full of information and he moves very quickly. Not to worry though, he is definitely one to repeat himself. He is very personal with the class and understands that we have outside lives. I would absolutely recommend taking this class.

This is honestly the best Professor I had at PBSC!! he is very caring and his lectures always seemed to be about motivation/inspiring his students in life but would always bring it back to English. He gave out few assignments and always lets you submit it again if you were not happy with your grade. He was so good took him again in ENC1102!!

Professor Jhingree is the most laid back guy ever. He loves to hear himself talk but it's actually somewhat inspirational at times. Canceled class a lot and the homework was super simple. There was basically 2 papers due in the class and that was it. Would take him over and over again. The book is completely unnecessary.

Hands down best professor ever. One is able to rewrite paper for a better grade. Must attend to class for notes that are on quizzes and test (open book). There is a significant improvement with my writing. It has been a true honor to be part of this class. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS GOOD LUCK, ONLY HARD WORK!(Jhingree).

Although I do not have the most perfect attendance, his class is easy & hes very flexible. As long as you make an acquaintance in class that knows whats going on youll be fine! You can turn your papers in whenever as long as its not too too late. You can also redo them for a better grade. TAKE HIM!

He is not a bad professor. He wants you to improve your writing skills and cares about your learning. Not many papers were assigned. He takes FOREVER to post grades on blackboard. As long as you do what is expected you will do great.
