Cocco is a really easy grader, as long as you participate in class. She doesn't give too many assignments either. Her class was an easy "A" for me. If you are outgoing, you will do well.

I was deading this class. She made it easy. Arguably the best teacher I've taken at OCC. Quite hip and relates well with students. Great on the eyes as well.

Speech class isnt the greatest I must admit, but Coco made you feel relaxed. It was one of the best classes Ive ever taken at OCC and Coco is an awesome teacher.

She is very nice. But she gives her oppinion too much on other stuff. She tries to persuade the class to to be a democratic. Her tests are foreign material but they're only worth like 13% of grade. Overall she is an ok teacher.

She's a little off the wall, but way cool. Usually tardy, but if you have 100% attendance, she'll bump you up 1 letter grade. If you are a confident speaker, you will do just fine. easiest A I ever got.

She is almost never in class. The tests were sooo easy like playing games. Take this class if your other classes are hard, this is an easy A. Shes a bit lazy though and class discussions are really boring.

She's very funny.Lectures are str8 from textbook, so not really any point in coming to class unless there's something due or if it's speech day or something.Her humor motivated me to come to class though.She does show her liberal side but does not enforce it on anyone, but she only does it to clarify a point during lecture.Tests are easy.

Besides human sexuality with Cox, I'd say that this is the easiest A I've taken at OCC. As long as you're a confident speaker and you follow the outline format that Coco gives you, you should have no problem getting an A. The tests are easy.

Worked with her on the Speech & Debate team and took a Debate / Persuassion class with her. She's great...but very liberal & pushy with it sometimes...but if you can argue your point she'll listen!

Shes really easy, really nice, and really helpful. Her class is generally pretty fun. Shes also really understanding to any problems you have as far as late work and turn ins generally.

Great Prof, and she gets to the point. She is cute and sassy too. It definitely helps

I really enjoyed this class a lot. You don't learn that much, but what you do learn is pretty interesting. Shes really fun to be around, and her lessons are fun. It's actually kind of a cool class if you want to be a teacher because she asks for your input alot!

(It shouldnt though cause the class is cake) Great class, Great teacher, great people in the class. All around I give it a A++.

She was an awsome teacher, really funny and has good methodes of breaking the ice and making you feel comfortable before a speech. Helpful and was very clear with what she expected, which isn't that much. She is flexable and understanding if something comes up. Take the 8 week class if you can it pays off for sure.

Professor Coco is a very helpful and knowledgable teacher. She is fair and gives you plenty of time in class to work on your projects.

she is a really fun teacher, but when its times for speeches and you ask her for help she doesn't make things clear. as long as you volunteer first in every speech you'll get an A. She talks about random things. you don't really need the book. don't waste your money cuz you only have to take home quizzes. borrow the book frm the library.

She is a fun professor, she gives a lot of opportunity for extra credit and she grades in a manner to help you improve on your next speech. She is honest and fair in her grading. She reviews all material and will help you out in any way you need it. Those that don't like her are slackers who don't want to do the work required. Will take her again.

Hi Coco, I hope U enjoyed giving me a B when I really deserved an A! Yah, that's right, I counted up my points and did the math and even if I got a low score on the final, I still would have had an A, but I totally bs'd the final so maybe that's why she gave me a B.She fools you into thinking she'll give you an "easy A." And she's sort of a dits.

I think she is way cool. And a hottie too! Who ever said she talk about random things is so wrong. A lot of diffrent topics come up. and she knows enough about them all to put things in proper prospective. I would take her again. So if you want opps for extra credit then take her. Plus if yo uare a guy she nice to look at!! Nice rack :)

Apparently the person in the comment below didn't pay attention in the class otherwise she would have spelled "Ditz" right. A fair enough teacher, as long as you do the work and show up to class. I would take the class again.

Took the 8-week class. Intensive but fun and interesting. Very enjoyable. Public speaking is not as horrible as people make it out to be.

it's a little boring if you get her in the 8am class, but she knows it and trys to make up for it. this class does teach you how to argue with an intellegent person.

COCO is Amazing, she's nice and always helps out if you need it.... some days are very repetative but it helps cuz if you get lost you can re learn it the next day. she gives you lots of time to prepare for speeches in class and everything is just mellow, I JUST WISH SHE WOULD CHANGE HER TARDY POLICY!!!

Easy class (public speaking). Just be ready on speech days (rehearsed, outline ready, notecards ready) and you'll do fine. A fun class overall.

if u like to surf on the net take this class. this class is not hard at all and all u need to do is to show up on time. u will do a lot of research papers but they r all easy. she helps u out if u fall behind. great pro...take her easy A and mrs. coco if u read this thank you so much.

Great teacher!!! just do every speech and you will definately pass with a B or higher cuz she grades more based on effort then anything else!!! tests are pretty easy either open book or she gives you a step-by-step review!!! shes very down to earth, on the last day i accidentally walked into the girls bathroom and she laughed and called me a stoner

Class is fun and attendance is mandatory. Make sure you turn in your work on time you will get an A. She lets you speak about things you like so its no problem. Except for the part where u have to get up and talk to the class, its easy.

Felicia grades really fairly, as long as you do your speeches on time, within the time limits, do an outline & notecards you will get an A. She lets you do your speeches about whatever you want & she is helpful if you need help picking a subject and will go over your outlines whenever you ask her to. She also rounds up grades. Take this class!

COCO is the BEST!! She's inspired me to join the speech team next semester. I would recommend her class to anyone, quite funny. I am now able to grab the fear of public speaking by the balls, then tell it to sit down and listen. Oh, and she's chili peppers.

She was a really fun teacher because her essays and projects were easy and fun to write. She only had one textbook test and the other two were group tests. I would recommend this class to anyone who wants to get over the fear of public speaking because she makes her classroom a safe and comfortable place. ONE OF THE BEST TEACHERS AT OCC!!

I learned totally useful ways/tactics of speaking in her class. 3 tests, open book/group tests= cannot fail. Just show up and do your chapter examples, she also gives E.C., do not be afraid. She is an awesome possum :]

Really enjoyed this as a summer class. Tests were not too hard. Class assignments were to follow structure, not so much about presentation. I would recommend her highly. She was funny as heck, too!

She is super cool and you can write your speeches on whatever you want. She is very helpful when you need help writing a speech. I was dreading taking this class but I really enjoyed it.

Felicio Coco was a great teacher! If you do the outlines rights and stay within time limit you will get an A. Tests are open book and easy. She lets you out early almost all the time.

This teacher was the best. I really enjoyed attending class and it is one of my most memorable moments at OCC. The speech topics are up to the student to decide on, and the assignments were fairly simply. She is awesome.

Fantastic professor. Very easy if you're willing to put the effort. Great attendance would make the class easier for you. She's very hilarious and understandable. I recommended her to a couple of friends and they loved her. Had her for Speech 100 ad 110. Earned an A.

Class: Easy A. Even if you suck at public speaking you can still get an A in the class. All you have to do is go to class, do your speech(it's okay if you suck, she basically gives everyone an A for speaking), and use your book on the test. Attentions is mandatory, she marks you down a lot for not attending. Professor: Cool teacher, pretty funny

Awesome Professor !! - if you listen to her guidelines on how to write a good speech then you shouldn't have to worry about talking in front of class - she gives you examples on blackboard as well as reference in the book and also all her speech topics are fun ~ don't think twice, this is a HIGHLY RECOMMENDED PROFESSOR

Everyone in my class got an A.She is very friendly and patient with students,unlike other speech professor. I don't know why is there some people that don't like her and say rude things about her. Coco is very very nice. she will help you with whatever you need help with. she always keeps class interesting and i am never bored in class. she makes the environment confortable to speak in and wont have to feel nervous at all to speak in front of the class. if you get a chance to take this class you must!!

I dreaded taking public speaking from the get-go, but taking prof coco's one day-a-week class made it more bearable. As people have already stated in prev posts, it seems like she will be more likely to give you an A if you do your speech on the day it is due and show up to class consistently. She is a nice prof, but her short-term memory is bad.

Easy Public Speaking professor. U give 3 non outlined speeches & 3 outlined speeches along with a midterm & final. She grades easy on speeches as long as u follow the rubric (it's not that hard). Midterm/final are open book multiple choice & I never studied for either & still pulled an A easily. Attendance is mandatory,especially on speech days

Coco is a great teacher. I wasn't thrilled to take a speech class, but I needed it to graduate. After about three classes I found myself enjoying her teaching style, and the structure of her class. If you're a lazy student like myself, but can 'wing it' fairly decently you'll be fine. If I put just a bit more effort I would've passed with an A.

Took over summer, fun and easy class. She's entertaining, tells funny personal stories. Two exams open book (I didn't study and got A's on both, but you have to have the book). She grades fairly on speeches. If you're not a natural speaker, you just have to practice a few times and you're golden. She loves talking about her bff Chris DeSura.

best class! take home exam, open book, and all hw is graded easily. You learn a lot about yourself and become close with the class. she is hilarious and makes coming to class fun. attendces isnt mandatory unless its speech days but the class is so fun you wont wanna miss. easy A because the effort is fun.

She's a great teacher, great attitude, no censorship in this class, she doesn't care if you cuss or whatever. The assignments are so easy, there is some group work involved, but you get paired up with people with your same character traits... easy A,great teacher

Easiest class I've ever taken. Only 1 real exam and it's open book. Otherwise it's mostly doing Chapter Examples and Personal Applications. Projects were fun and nothing to stress over. I wouldn't say it was life-changing but I'm glad I took the class. It was a nice class to take when you're loaded with hard math or science classes

I really did not expect this class to be a speech class, to my surprise, it was. :( I hate public speaking, she made it bearable though. The speeches are very short, although for your examples, the more detailed the better to ensure an A. Attendance is mandatory, some people dropped a whole letter grade because of it. She's hilarious! Felicia is the easiest professor ever. 1 open book exam, 1 group exam and the last exam is a speech which is super easy. speech days are the best, kick back class. just do your chapter example and practical applications and your fine. i petitioned for her bff's class christopher but omg felicia is so much easier and fun.cant wait for CMST 110 :)

She's easy, funny and very helpful. However, her grading is somewhat hard. I did everything she wanted and attended every class(never late), and still ended up with B!

Totally amazing teacher! There is writing and speaking, but she makes it fun and easy to understand. Reading is somewhat required, but it is easy and writing assignments are less than a page! Not only is she hilarious, she makes class a space where you can learn things to help yourself! Already planning on taking her again!

Basically it's a class to learn about the ways we communicate. Most of the assignments are examples that you share in class that reflect a topic found in the textbook. Super easy. First two test were open book and the last test was a turn in essay. There was also extra credit questions on tests and an extra credit opportunity, but it doesnt do much

When I enrolled in her interpersonal communications class, I didn't realize that there would be so much public speaking. If I had known, I may not have taken the class, but I am very happy that I did. She is a very easy grader, but there is a lot of work. She gives lots of time for projects and only expects about half a page for most of the essays.

I came into Speech class feeling so much anxiety and stress over having to deliver speeches in front of people and left the class feeling more confident! Coco makes the class comfortable and gives good tips to reduce nervousness. You get to choose your topic and an outline of your speech is a must! This class is not hard to pass.

Teaches real world way of speech giving, as a 100 class should. Keeps it simple but you learn a lot. Her lectures are clearer than the book. She speaks to the class the way she wants you to speak. Very understanding of nervousness, and teaches you how to alleviate it. If you are too sensitive don't take her class. She is honest but not offensive.

Overall she is a very sweet teacher who loves to interact with her students. She likes to learn about her students and ask questions. Uniqueness is a helpful feature to have when making speeches for her class. She is a challenging grader. If you don't practice your speeches, you will struggle. There is a textbook, but you can pass without using it.

I absolutely dreaded public speaking before this. I attempted twice before and chickened out after the first day. Felicia was super warm, welcoming and supportive. The outlines are clear and not hard to follow. Speeches are easily adaptable to your own interests and helps a lot. If you need to take this class like I did take it with her for sure.

you must attend class to pass, even if there is no speech due. she cares about students and makes sure everyone is respected in her class. tests are open book, she is a tough grader when it comes to speeches. she enforces the no cell phone while watching other students conduct their speech. glad I took her class, it helped!

Super entertaining and fun! Class revolves around multiple papers and speeches but she makes them fun and the topics are picked by you. Rarely fully lectures but you should read the book to past the tests (open book though!) but most of it is basic knowledge (easily get a B).

Ms. Coco is by far my favorite teacher at OCC. Dry sense of humor. I took her for Interpersonal Communication instead of Public Speaking. You will NEED the textbooks for exams and make sure you stay up to date on your reading. Homework is minimal but don't miss any of the assignments. Easy A if you show up and do the work.

Felicia Coco is one of the best professors I have taken in the past two years that I have been at Orange Coast. Coco is clear and descriptive when assigning work such as homework, in class assignments, and exams. The class has taught me effective communication skills and I would highly recommend this professor and course to anyone!

I took the class this summer. As a speech class with several presentations, you have to be there. Do the chapter examples and practical application assignments and you will do well. There are 3 exams, and 1 group presentation. She is fair, nice and understanding. She is one of the better teachers I have had at OCC. I recommend her to all.

Took Felicia's class over the summer. Definitely a lot of assignments to complete but nothing too difficult. Lots of informal presentations (personal experiences and practical applications from media), 1 big group project, open-book exams. I really liked the classroom environment we developed over the 8 weeks. Still friends with some classmates!

This class was so much fun! Coco is a great professor and is very funny. I would say participating during group discussions is the key to succeeding in this class. The assignments arent heavy as long as you dont procrastinate. The papers are fun to write and her structure is very easy to follow and helps you stay organized.

coco is amazinggg!! she is SO relatable and shares all of her experiences with her class. she makes it so easy for everyone to speak their mind and loves hearing everyone's thoughts! just make sure to follow weekly readings, discussions, and occasionally quizzes and you're golden!

Prof Coco was a really enjoyable prof. The class is fairly easy. You have to read through the book, write discussions, take little quizzes, and discuss in class. I hate participating, but it's a super comfortable environment and made presentations less stressful. However; it's an interpersonal comm class, so get ready to talk a lot about yourself.

I loved taking Prof Coco for interpersonal communication. A lot of the work we did was discussions about the textbook that we read, or presentations in small groups. It was over zoom so she required everyone to have their cameras on. It was probably the only online class I've taken so far that felt like a real classroom.

Honestly the best professor I've ever had, this class is really simple the most you have to do is show up listen to the lectures, take some notes, do the discussions, take the quizzes, and tests. It's great because the tests and quizzes are online and low pressure. There are a lot presentations but I feel its best to get out of your comfort zone.

I hate public speaking, so I was dreading this class. (I took her during Zoom) However, this class was not stressful at all. We'd take quizzes and exams outside of class. During class, we'd discuss portions of the textbook or present a project. All the projects were VERY easy! This is an easy A as long as you do the assignments and skim the book.

I took Professor Coco's nonverbal comm class, and she without a doubt one of top-tier professors Ive had the pleasure of learning from. Regular attendance and active participation are all you need to score a solid A. Course isnt stressful, it includes some fun group work. It's primarily about understanding concepts and engaging in fun activities.

I have a big fear of speaking in front of other people, but this class helped me get through it. Lots of presentations. Her quizzes and discussion boards are pretty easy, and she has these class activities to get you to talk to other people. There are a few chances for extra credit too. Overall a fun and enjoyable class.

Very easy class with weekly quizzes and discussions, a few (easy) papers, a few (easy) presentations, and a final. This class is very interesting and fun, in class we just discuss our lives. The only way I could see this class being difficult is if you are constantly late and skip a lot. Attendance is important! Professor is very funny and nice.

She is a very chill grader, it's a super easy class as long as you show up and turn work in on time. There are weekly assignments, some presentations, talking to neighbors, and a few easy papers. The course material is cheap, she's quite personable, and the class has many funny and engaging moments. Expanded my comfort zone in this class for sure.

I took the hybrid class, and it was overall a good class. Attendance is key, as she takes participation points away. You have one free miss, with a 20-point deduction after that. Usual hw includes a quiz and discussion revolving around the chapter. There were 3 papers, had to summarize an idea from a previous chapter. 2 in class presentations.

Ms. Coco is by far one of the best professors I have had at occ. I absolutely love the way she runs her hybrid interpersonal coms class. It made presenting speeches so much easier coming from someone who never thought they would be able to speak infront of groups. I cannot recommend this course/professor enough. She is truly amazing!!!!!!

Professor Coco is super chill and makes this class really engaging. Weekly assignments, some presentations, and group discussions keep you on your toes, but Unstuck study helped a lot with prep. Definitely an easy A if you stay on top of things.

Coco's class is great and super fun and easy! It is a communications class, so you'll be interacting with your classmates a lot, but it honestly created a nice and friendly environment which was relaxing (coming from an introvert). Its flipped classroom style, with assignments due at the end of most weeks. they're really easy though. Take her!

Ms. Coco was super sweet. I'd take her class just because of that. The whole class was just conversational, really didn't break a sweat. This is my first RMP just to shout her out. She has definitely lived if you know what I mean, and if you don't then go meet her. Peace

Professor Coco had one of the biggest impacts on my life. I was anxious about college as a freshman but Professor Coco taught me to enjoy school and to have fun learning. I grew out of my comfort zone and became a great public speaker later on in her class. Even still to this day, I use what she has taught me in my everyday life.

She's super nice and funny! Presentations are honestly so easy. Only thing is, she considers you tardy if you walk in one second late after she begins class, which wasn't great, as it marks points off your grade. She is a pretty harsh grader and doesn't leave feedback.
