He is a very easygoing teacher and his class is never boring. I actually always wanted to come to this class.. He tests you on material taken directly from the chapters he assigns so if you read the book.. you will get an "A".. Awesome professor.

Mr. Armas is a very friendly, down-to-earth, approachable teacher. I was from ESL(English as second language) student just last sememster. So, Psycho class was very hard for me than other students. He helps a lot. I guess if who are from ESL or other contury, he can be more helping you. Not just your study even your situation and mind.

Do what he asks (not too much). Get a good grade. For the last 6 or so sessions we just reviewed for the final. Each day we showed up of those 6 we got points towards are final. Funny guy. Nice guy. Can half way keep it fun. Tests are half take home, half in class. He even drops your lowest test grade of 4.

If you take notes (he will tell you what's important) and use the website for practice, you'll be fine; the quizzes are all really easy. The assignments are also very simple. At first, I was a little turned off by the fact that it's necessary to read the book chapter before class, but once I started doing it, I aced the exams. There is just a lot of new material/terminology to cover, so class is mostly for clarification and solidifying knowledge.

This teacher had a well layout for the course. Reading is a must. Only 4 discussion board posts and 4 tests for a 12 week course. Tests are 76% of grade, so make sure to study! I would recommend this course.

Humorous and very interesting lectures. This class is an easy B but tough A. You really have to stay on top of your stuff to get an A. Test questions are difficult and require in depth reading from the text book. Excellent professor!

This professor was average. hes not the best but not the worst. he can be a bit confusing at times. sometimes he goes away from the syllabus. and you really need the book so you can read and memorize on your own time. he covers things in class very quickly so you really need to read the book on your own.

Mr. Armas was my favorite teacher my first semester. It's a tough class and I really had to work for my B. Very funny lectures. P.S=If you sit front row don't sleep he enjoys giving you a little kick or pat on your head. Pick him as your psych teacher.

I loved Prof. Armas. He was strict, but he is very supportive of each students learning needs as long as the student is ready to learn. He was also really funny and he had the best sense of humor. I would take every class with him if I could.

A very interesting, personal, and caring teacher. He will walk around the room and get everyone involved. There are powerpoints for reference, but he does not read off of them, he tells stories and acts out the information. Ask him to send you the powerpoints--some of them have info that is on the tests and quizzes! You NEED to read the book!

I absolutely loved this class!!! Professor Armas has a great sense of humor which makes the class engaging.You definitely won't sleep here! There was never a dull moment and all of the learning material was straight forward. There's no easy A based on the material, but if you follow Mr. Armas' instructions you should have no problems getting an A.

Took as a 9 am summer class, never felt sleepy for a second. One of the most engaging professors out there, knows what he's talking about, and is there to make sure you leave class knowing the information. The only way to not get an A or B is to actively resist learning, or just not showing up

He tells his students what is going to be on the exam so pay attention. He gives points for attendance so if you don't show up it will hurt you in the long run. Overall a great teacher but he does has an accent so if you don't understand professors with accents I don't recommend him.

One of the best teachers. His first language was spanish, so he has an accent and at times can be hard to understand. He really takes the time to learn your name and cares about all of his students. If you pay attention in class, show up and participate you should do well. His tests are all based off of the book, so it's important to read the ch.

Attendance is mandatory. Read the assigned reading, take notes in class and you should get a good grade. Final was not cumulative, and quiz every week. 3 exams total. He also calls on students who don't seem to be paying attention it can be embarrassing for those who aren't. Overall, a really great instructor. I'd take him again.

This was my first psych course and he was amazing. He only has three tests and the last one is counted as the final. They are split in half for 50 questions to be done at homewith friends and 50 in class which is nice. And small 10 point quizzes now and then. He is honestly the best I think.

Took this class over the summer, and am thankful that I did. Class was never a drag and he knows his stuff. Everything was well organized as outlined clearly on his syllabus. Quizzes and exams are scantron, you get attendance points so go to class, and 3 projects. Act like an adult, be respectful and you'll be fine. awesomeeee guy

Awesome professor, has great life examples and interacts with his students. You have three tests. The third is the final. It is 50 questions take home and the other 50 in class. There are quizzes once a week but they are simple. Only gave 2 homework assignments and they take 30 minutes maximum to finish. easy A

Always looked forward to coming to Psych, because his lectures were interesting and he is a funny guy. Not too many assignments, just take the online quiz for each chapter, because he uses the same Q's on the quizzes. There are three tests, first 50 questions are open book outside of class, the other half is in class. Simple, easy and to the point.

Take home tests are straight from the book. His lectures are dope, especially if you participate. Honestly, I take that back and I truly think his class it kick ass and he makes everything into a personal understanding rather than a simple definition, Take this if you want a great experience from an expert

He lays out his class very well and is very organized. 30% of your grade is showing up to class and doing the homework assignment for each of the three sections. the quizzes are tough if you don't read. Half of the exam is take home. Overall he was okay currently holding a low B with one section to go.

Armas is an okay teacher. He has a clear cut grading scale that consist of 3 units and each of them is worth 100 points. The quizzes and test are tough if you don't read or show up to class. 15 points per section for attendance and 15 for doing a simple 30 minute writing assignment. Overall he isnt a bad teacher and hes got a good personality.

Mr. Armas is super funny. 50 minute lectures do not seem long at all. Only three 50 question take home exams and three 50 question in class exams. the final is on the last three chapters of the book. The first half of all the tests is take home which is incredibly helpful. He drops 3 of the lowest quiz grades. There are 3 essays outside of class, if you can really call them essays, but they are so easy and straightforward. Attendance is a pretty big part of your grade, but if you email him before hand you get half credit. A good choice

The quizzes were easy & based off of everything he said in class. He even told us the 1st question on the exam on the first day of each unit. If you wrote down what he says during lecture you will do fine. 1/2 the test is take home and the other half are questions from the readings and quizzes (word for word from the quizzes).

Professor Armas is extremely funny and an extraordinary teacher. Everyday is a lecture, and each one is well put together and easily understandable. Be sure to go to class every Friday and take the practice quizzes, as there is a quiz at the end of the week. Overall, I highly recommend him. Professor Armas is a funny guy, as long as you don't get offended easily. His lectures are all over the place but eventually you'll learn to understand them. If you ask a question he makes sure you understand the answer. Grading is clear, make sure you do your assignments on time, they're easy. Ask questions, you might get extra credit points.

His assignments are more about you understanding and applying psychology to real life situations, instead of memorizing dates and terms. However, there is is some dates and terms memorization. Assignments may be watching documentaries and writing a paper about it.

I loved Prof. Armass class. He encourages group work, and is absolutely correct when he emphasizes how well students do when they work together. Everything on the tests and quizzes can be found in the textbook, which you should read the assigned chapters before lectures. He is very easy to talk to, and answers emails very fast.

This was a pretty laid-back class. Honestly wasn't difficult at all. But towards the end of the year, it seemed as though he made the quizzes and exams much more difficult.

Physiological psychology in itself is a fast paced topic. Mr. Armas lectures in a way that keeps students engaged by being funny and speaking with passion. As much as he lectures, he doesn't cover about half the amount of material he tests on and spends a lot of time talking about details he doesn't test on, so expect to read the entire textbook.

Took the online 8-week course, and found it to be easier than I was expecting. Textbook required, but he provides powerpoints with info from the book that you need. He explains what he requires for each assignment which requires a lot of writing, but it's very doable. He claims there is no extra credit, but does sneak in some ec opportunities.

Professor Armas is a wonderful teacher of general psychology. He gave detailed lectures about the chapter we were in and posted his lectures online as a power point so you could follow along in class. He also posted practice quizzes online that had similar questions to the ones in the Exam and frequently gave hints as to what would be on the Exam.

If you are the type to not show up to class, then this class isn't for you. Although there was a lot of reading involved, heavy lectures, and many quizzes he always made the class worth showing up to. He only has 3 assignments throughout the semester. The quizzes were usually every other day, but he did have practice quizzes posted.
