Nice guy, but difficult to understand.
He wasn't a bad teacher, he explained through each section pretty well. He's available to see you if you have any problems understanding. He does have a thick cuban accent, but I understood him enough to get a B. But you will have to study your butt off!

I believe an exact quote this man said was... "9+3 is what?... 7! yes! i don't knwo why but it is on the test" that about sums up this class. if you have the choice i'd say no to this man!
great guy but not the best teacher. be careful who you pick for this class! college algebra not easy, he is available to help you but be prepared for a cuban accent and his little fill in the blank sentences in class.
This is the worse teacher ever. VERY hard to understand and stares at you during his lectures.Doesnt pronounce things right. He is very anal if you get a problem wrong and yells at the class if they answer a problem incorrect.VERY BAD TEACHER!!!! I WARN YOU DONT TAKE HIM
Even though he does have an accent, I didn't find it that hard to understand him. If you do the homeworks and attend class, you will get through. I got an A,and didn't study that much for his exams.
very nice guy, but not a good teacher. he also has a heavy accent (nothing new with math teachers). i wouldnt recommend him to anyone because he teaches to himself, not the class.

HE IS AN OK GUY, YOU JUST HAVE TO COMMUNICATE WITH HIM, HE HAS AN ACCENT, BUT YOU CAN UNDERSTAND HIM. BUT STUDY HARD FOR HIS TESTS!
very good class. he know what he is talking about and he can get the point across with no problem. even thought he has a bit of an accent he is a very smart person and you can learn a lot about him

Not the best professor, but quite easy. As long as you do your work you will pass his class. Don't be disturbed if he screams, thats just the way he is. He is very straight to the point, and doesn't like games. The best way to pass this class is by simply, sucking up!! Seriously!!:)

IF YOU HAVE HIM...GET OUT NOW...heavy spanish accent with a heavy lisp. tests are only 10 questions and impossibly hard. if you know what is good for you drop the class before its too late and so dont end up needing a tutor or getting a dr on your transcript!!

He has a terrible lisp and spanish accent. He doesn't know how to explain things. When he shows an example he stands in front of it so you have to wait until he moves for a second and write everything you can before he erases it. Don't ask ques. because he either will say you should know this or will talk about something completly differnt.
I would rather be eaten alive by wolves than take this math class again. Everytime i raised my hand to ask a question he didn't call on me and is an overall JERK. Save yourself the semester and do NOT TAKE THIS CLASS.

omg, DONT TAKE HIM! im a junior & his class was the first class i ever dropped. his super heavy accent does not help at ALL! hes not even that good at explaining and he makes HIMSELF confused alot. its math, the whole point is to actually be good at explaining, right?
wow i have this guy now and all i gotta say is that the material isnt necessarily THAT difficult. It requires ALOT of studying, especially if you suck ass at math like me. Eitherway, the guy does have an annoying accent and yes he teaches to himself. Overall he isnt an effective teacher and it certainly doesnt help when it comes time to take a test
well ive never been much of a math person .. but i always try hard and have done well in all my classes.. this is the first time i have had to drop a class!! its terrible.. he seems nice.. even though he gets upset if you ask questions and suggests u go to tutoring.. he doesnt explain well at all! and he is extremely harsh when it comes to grading!
For all of you guys that want to take Trig, LISTEN CARFULLY. "DO NOT TAKE HIM EVER". This guy is a really hard grader, dosn't explain at all and if you ask him a question in class, he would get mad and look at you like "Go back to Pre-Kinder" Make sure you get another one because you will suffer no matter what.
A very hard grader, he does give u extra credit by making you do 5 problems of each one u got a 0 on the test.. Still doubting if we will be able to pass the class. Reviews but not well enough.. DO NOT TAKE IT! only 6 people are left of a class that started from 50. Only a few maybe 2 out of 6 are currently passing! Avoid at all cost!

He is a TERRIBLE teacher!! Do not take him!!! You can barely understand him because he has a very thick accent, but you'll get use to it! I failed 3 of the 4 exams but somehow passed with a B- If i could have I would've dropped the class but it was too late!! I strongly recommend taking another professor!
VERY DIFFICULT Teacher...thick accent w/ a lisp..I missed one class and was lost the rest of the semester because he has a poor way of explaining things...the book sucks..uses terrible examples to teach the lesson..tests are very difficult, does not review material prior to test..I'm usually good at math, but this is the first class I ever dropped!

This professor is useless. He does not help, if you ask questions he thinks your an idiot and the tutoring for this couse (in person not online) is useless since those tutors have never taken the class. Take Robles instead!

He should not be teaching. He knows the subject very well but does not know how to explain. Refuses to go over homework, has 1/2 hour office hour, and sends you to tutoring instead of helping you out. The subject is pretty difficult, but he makes it harder.

Not an easy class, you will need to review every section on your own time, and expect to know everything that he does teach. Very nice teacher but he expects you to know everything the second he teaches it.
the class can get challenging, but as long as he sees you are trying and try to study and do the homework assignments, hereally has sympathy. If math is not your subject, i don't recommend this class. It can get tough, but if you try you can pass. I got an A

He has a really strong accent and even though I speak Spanish (and I understand Spanglish) it was still difficult to follow his explanations of the material. He's very rude and talks down to the students that ask him questions. Unless you are able to pay for the tutor and you have the extra time to look for help out of this class, do not take him.
I have a 53 percent in the class right now.. and it takes a 65 to pass.. i study my butt off and i still get F's.. i have never in my life gotten so many F's in 1 class! help!

He is a great prof. which helps alot, you do have to study for the tests, and go to class. Show interest he helps alot. I took 2 classes with him and I would take it again if I did not hated math.
Although this professor might know the material he cannot transmit it to students effectively. He goes off subject easily, and his explanations of the material are difficult to grasp. I would not recommend him at all. Also, he formats his tests in a way that are easy to fail, its unreasonable.

He is the worst professor that I ever had, be prepare to study from the book, everybody in my class has fail including me, he does not make a review and the test are very hard, sometimes he put thing that he doesn't cover in class. If you want to fail take him

The class was incredibly hard for me to pass. I had always received A's in all my math classes including AP calculus in high school. The tests were tricky but it was not impossible to pass. I got a B+. I did all of the homework he ever assigned though... the book REALLY helped
He is really nice and would really like to help his studens, however his accent is so thick it's nearly impossible to understand him and if he feels disrespected, he gets very defensive. But if you do the work, he's very likely to try to help you however he can.
More than half of the class dropped as soon as they found out that this class wasnt mandatory or part of their UCC.3 tests (i got a B,D,D).Theres also a final (D).. i made the corrections on EVERY test which is xtra credit.My final grade: B.He isnt that bad of a prof most ppl say. Sweet teacher,very nice and humble. Will take him again nxt semester
Felix Garcia is a genius at math. It's apparent in his teaching habits. His accent is understandable, his lectures aren't boring. He uses the textbook to provide examples, and everything you go over in class in on the exam. He gives a very brief review before the test. The tests have about 7 questions with four parts each.
Avoid taking this mans class. He is one of the worst teachers ever.. I know this is college, but i feel teacher should do just that.. Teach.. Half of the class dropped the class.. tomorrow, i am going to beg to see if i can get out of his class! I am very sad!!
Lets see. He taught with the fire alarm going off IN THE CLASSROOM, he gives super amounts of extra credit because he is an awful professor. 110% do not recommend him, he is garbage...I got A+'s in the next 3 advanced levels of this math. C with him. Don't waste your money.
He's pretty nice and sort of funny, but tends to explain material a bit too fast. When he solves a problem on the board he covers it with his entire body, so you can't see it. It's almost as though he's teaching himself. The other thing I disliked is that he doesn't like answering questions. As far his accent, is not so bad and he gives some E.C.

Avoid taking this class at all costs. He complicates things more than they need to be and he LOVES word problems.uses the most comlicated problems for the test. No hw or extra credit,does not drop lowest test grade

I am in this class now and am trying everything i can to switch out. Do not waste your money he knows the material but cannot teach. Everyone always fails his exams. He rants about random stuff and rarely answers questions. Do not take this professor!!! He is proud that only about 4% pass his class.

Nice guy, but horrendous teacher. Im hispanic and can still barely understand his thick accent. He cannot articulate himself well, even less the lessons. He speeds through his teachings and doesnt always explain the answers. I recommend any other professor.

This class was really difficult. I've always been relatively good at math. His tests are really hard, the questions are a lot more difficult than the examples he gives. Starts right on time and uses his class time well. I just don't feel that his lectures are representative of the actual difficulty of the class.
Don't ever take a class with him if you are planning on doing well in it. He is not clear when teaching and on his tests the wording is complicated for no reason. Trust me, you wanna take it with anyone other than him

His never available after class his not getting paid for it. So, if you know calculus take it with a teacher. Not with him. If you think you going to learn with him, you won't.

This professor honestly doesn't have any idea how to put a course together. His tests are challenging to say the least and there is not enough assigned homework.
If you skip class you won't pass. If you don't spend 6+ hours trying to teach yourself, you are most definitely going to fail. He only grades based on the Exams. He is very verbally aggressive with his students and does not even attempt to help when there is a problem. Also, he doesn't reply to emails. According to him he's the best teacher ever.
