Dr. Asya is very helpful with teaching the class to organize papers and use sources in a research paper correctly. The text is required to be read outside of class, and you should read the text to learn what she will talk about in class. Short stories are also required and short quizzes are given in class. She is great if you care about your grade.

First I didn't think I would learn how to write but I did. The professor knows her stuff and how to teach it. You need to follow her instructions in class and write clearly and with lots of evidence and examples, she will love your writing. She loves and respects all her students.

Interesting is the word that describes prof. Asya. Her personality, clothes, lectures, topics, you name it, all that she has, and she offers you are interesting. She chooses interesting books to teach, gives interesting examples to explain them, and she makes the entire class involved because she makes the class interested in all the work.

Dr. Asya is a caring prof. All the papers she assigned were helpful to improve writing. The topics she assigned were very interesting. She always explained her editing of your papers and the corrections you have to make. She gave ample time for reviews of papers. You can revise many times, so that you improve them for good grades. Dr. Ferda Asya has always been my top choice for classes I took. She's the most intelligent prof I've ever had at Bloomsburg. She advised me to take classes in English, anthropology, and women's studies and I minored in gender studies. I got a good job owing to that. I recommend her at a heartbeat to anyone for a great college experience. Great!

I loved Prof Ferda's class. She really cared about her students and spent a lot of time in and out of class explaining us her grading and what we had to do to get good grades. She was super understanding when it comes to deadlines. Excellent advisor.

I took her literature/writing class online some years ago. I can't forget what a terrific teacher she was. She cared not only about my writing but my circumstances at that time. She had a fantastic way of teaching us how to put down everything correctly. She was always positive and caring. I never came across a person and teacher like her again.

This professor is an amazing lecturer and discussion leader. I took her lower-level class, but I wish there were upper-level courses in English taught by her I could take. She blends history with literature and life events and makes all very engaging. I majored in journalism in Penn State. I was lucky to find her in Bloom to take her lit classes.

You learn writing by reading stories. The stories give you ideas for writing. She assigns many short papers and reads everything you write and gives you detailed feedback. She is a bit meticulous, but you learn a lot from her. She is very understanding when it comes to deadlines. She is also very helpful if you go to her office hours. Excellent!

The class was super engaging and prof. Asya was an exceptionally kind person. She set up the class so that everyone was engaged in the discussions. I took her class during my sophomore year, but she never forgot my name and said hi to me whenever I met her on campus. She is an extraordinarily intelligent person with a big heart. Ferda Asya is the cutest human that I've ever met. Her jokes in class were sometimes so hilarious that I noted them to share with friends. She is also very kind and understanding. She was very smart with online issues and helped us on zoom meetings. I wish the class was in person. She said "have a good life" to us at the end. Have a good life prof.

Most inspirational prof and class I've taken. At the beginning I thought I disliked her and the topics she taught, but gradually both grew on me and I couldn't wait to go to class. I loved the way she listened to all of us and responded to all we told her. She wrote everyone a farewell note at the end of the year and made sure we knew she cared.

Loved her lectures and discussion style. She never called on us. We spoke when we had something to say. She gave midterm evaluations and took our comments and suggestions seriously to conduct the class. She made everyone welcomed and important in class. You definitely end better than you have started in her class. She listens all you tell her.

Dr. Asya was hands down my favorite professor at Bloomsburg. I took her three years ago, and now every time I read a book, I remember the class and her enthusiasm of teaching it. She assigned a TON of reading, but she was so invested in her students and class that it made you WANT to read and participate as to not let her down. Definitely take her!
