Mr. Fernandez is a great teacher!!!! He explains everything clearly. I recommend his class to anyone who has difficulty with math.

At first I was getting C's B's and like two D's, but at the end for the final if you redo the tests and quizzes on your own and get help, whatever you get on the final that will be your ending grade. I got an A. So it's easy if you pay attention.

Ignore all this people that put bad comments on him. He is a good teacher. If u do the homework then the test test are easy. He has pretty good jokes. If u dont talk to him then he wont kno'w ur in his class. If u asked for help he will help! He doesn't only help the pretty girls but those in need. He got his master from McArthur Park. J/K

Yeah he is a very good teacher he just doesn't give u a free pass u have to earn it the way it should be. I didn't pass his class but he did ready me for the even harder college math classes I will take in the future. If u want to learn math take him.

The grade that u get in all ur quizzes, test and final it's all up to u. If u ask questions, he will help you. If he is lecturing and u dont understand the problem, stop him and he will explain it again. I got was getting B's & C's. It's all up to u. He's not anything that the other people say. If u ask him for help, he will help u!

Fernandez is a really good professor. I have taken him since math 112 and ended in math 125 with him. If he were a really bad teacher why would I continue taking him. He is very helpful if you ask for it. If you ask him to explain over the methods he will until you get it. He offers help to everyone. Do your homework because it will help you pass.

he really know how do teach, all you have to do is do your hw, if your are not a home work person don't take him, his test are ok, depends on the hw, so hw is important, he is a fun person, love to talk in jokes, i am fine with that. good teacher if you are willing to study

Mr. Fernandez is really funny, if you get along well with him (talk!) and atleast tryyyy to ask questions he's easy going. He needs to see that you're trying and he'll pass you. If you sit in the corner and never speak you're most likely to FAIL...unless you're a Math wiz.

Awsome teacher. I HATE math and I really understood the material,esp. how he explains things. I would HIGHLY recomend taking his class if u hate math. I actually KINDA like math now. HE IS VERY HELPFUL: WILL GO THE EXTRA MILE TO HELP.

very good teacher i took him in a 5 week course and i got a B he is very patient with his students,gives alot of hw but trust me the hw will help you on the quizzes and test and you get credit .oh yea if he thinks you are not going to be successful in math 115 he will keep you, i wish he was teaching math 115

He should teach teachers how to teach! He brings clarity to an abstract subject and even applies math to real life stituations.He uses challenging problems instead of using the watered down problems that are in the book, because he actually believes his students have the mental capacity to solve them. Truly one of the best educators to ever exist!

This teacher is the best! Makes Math fun! I took him for winter/09 for MATH 110. Be nice and very understanding with him. Then everything is going to go good for the whole the semester! Homework is your credit and quiz! So dont miss on quiz day!

GREAT TEACHER! I never really liked math before but wen i got in his class he opened up my eyes!!! So i actually started to like math and understand it alot better. He always gives u chances for question and his HW isnt hard. ALL U HAVE TO DO IS...Turn off ur phone and PAY ATTENTION...and youll learn everything you need to know. Take him! TRUST ME!

He speaks english! thats more than i can say about other math teachers, he gives lots and lots of work... so if your not willing to put in the elbow grease then drop him. His exams are outrageous thats for sure but gives chances to make it up or do something about it. he makes the class intresting as much as he can considering its math.

i took fernandez for 110 very easy.. i as well took him for 115 did not pass but that was because i didnt put my effort Fenandez is very easy if u just pay attention he doesnt give much hw only thing i would have to say that iu dint like about him is what he teaches he does not put on his test.

I LOVE MR. FERNANDEZ!! He's so cool and I just love the way he teaches. screw all of you dumbows who say he sucks. He does NOT. He doesn't give too much hw. he's such a comedian so thats a plus. I have a B :) and I suck at Math, so B is like an A+ to me. I understand everything he teaches. I'm taking him in the Spring 2012 as well. :D

Excellent professor. His math lessons are clear and he make class fun. He can be funny, but also serious- especially if the class is not doing well. He tells you how it is; that is life in general and class performance. By studying and getting his help, I passed his class.

He has been by far the best math professor I have ever gotten. I have HATED math all my life and he completely changed my perspective on it. I received an A or B in his class. I am now taking 115 with another professor at another school... not the same thing however math is not challenging anymore bc of him. Highly recommend Fernandez!

Mr. Fernandez is great! I don't know what all the negative comments are about? Gives homework everyday, but gives credit for it and it helps to better understand the material. Is not an easy class, but he is clear and explains everything thoroughly. He is always willing to go back if you need it. One of the best math teachers I've ever had!

I don't know why he has such low ratings, Stats is a hard class period. No matter what professor the concept itself is difficult. Fernandez helped me out so much, this was the toughest class of my semester. DO THE HOMEWORK. It's literally worth 2 letter grades. He will help you pass. Good Luck (:

I though I would never be able look forward into attending my next math class, but Proffesor Fernandez made this class so fun. He is a caring Proffesor, like I never seen one in a long time. He gives extra credit, attendance is a must, and we did a lot of group work. I don't understand the bad rating about Proffesor Fernandez, but he is great

Although Professor Fernandez issues a lot of homework, his teaching style is unconventional. He goes above and beyond to explain material and puts a lot of effort into getting students to understand it with visuals. Attendance is a must, but his class is so fun, you forget you're even in school.

I'be always been bad at math, and actually delay taking math as much as I could, but couldn't delay this forever. I am so happy that I added proffesor Fernandez' class. He is a great proffesor, and give us opportunity for extra credit. He gave us hw everyday, which was good. Don't know why people complaint about having lots hw since this is college

I think he graded the class on a curve. His lectures are are easy to follow he explains everything but gives out lots of homework and his tests and quizzes are comprised of the homework assignments. Gives out extra credit assignments and makeup exams. He's charismatic and will work with you as long as you communicate with him.

He was very understanding and gave our class so many opportunities to bring up our grades. I was struggling with an F at first but I ended the class with a high B. He tries to make it easier for us students to catch up on with assignments as he gives us plenty of time to do them. He's very nice and funny. His lectures provide a lot of information.

He is so caring, when his students are struggling he makes adjustments to his lectures to help out his students whether its giving them more time to do assignments or gives more examples. He always come through to get a good grade. I would like to have him as a professor again.

I took Professor Fernandez during the summer 2021 and it was fast paced since it's summer ofc and it was not hard at all there's no zoom which means your learning on your own but he records lectures and he gives lot's of extra very amazing teacher math is scary for me but with a good teacher I was able to pass there's a lot of homework but not bad.

Skip class on math,of course you won't get an A;unless u r very good at math I guess. Don't expect math teachers to be easy on u. You want to learn take him. Ask questions,he will answer. He makes errors but if someone mentions it he admits it, helps outside a lot on office hours too. stay on track, know how much time u need to understand and study

As long as students reach out to him, he is willing to help. He lectures for the whole class time and will go over the homework if we were not able to finish it. He would always tell us, "Stop me if you do not understand", and I appreciate the fact that he knows that math is difficult, so he took his time explaining it to us. Great teacher.

It is very test-heavy and has a lot of homework, but it is relatively easy and a lecture review. But don't miss his class or else you start to get lost. I recommend taking his class if you struggle with math.

He is a great professor.His way of teaching is simple and well he lectures and teaches from the modules he provides and videos if you get stuck on the material. Be ready to use your Ti- 83 or 84 calculator.He lets you use flashcards for tests and quizzes. Also he is very understanding but don't miss if you don't have too and be there on time.

But, due to his humor and willingness to help, it was easy to get through the class. He allowed as much flashcards as you want for tests which was very nice.
