Chapter Readings, Resume critiquer, Cool guy. Felt like his grading what kind of tough and so are the tests, theres only 2 and 1 paper and 1 group project. Not a bad class

He gives free resume advice, and job tip interviews. He likes to use his knowledge to help you prepare for the future. The textbook is so god awfully boring, but he is a good teacher in the way that he is engaging, and he really lends his experience to help you succeed.

The fact that Professor Kaplan's rating isn't higher is a shame. One of the most insightful professors I have ever had who truly cared to prepare you for the world outside of college. What other professor takes time to critique your resume and give you job interview tips as part of the class? He is extremely practical when it comes to grading. Take

Professor is really helpful and understanding. The tests are easy if you read and do the connect quizzes for each chapter. The individual work is graded strictly. Overall a good elective and professor to take for major.

Very cool guy, you'll learn about a lot more than just about retailing management. Fun guest speakers and interesting interactive lessons which require you to engage your peers make it very enjoyable.

Professor Kaplan was awesome. The class is pretty easy, the tests contain mostly information in the textbook and come from the online quizzes due each week. Theres one paper, and one group project. He loves when you participate!

Easy tests, all multiple choice One big group project have weekly reading quizzes online but you can take them as many times as you want have to purchase the online system called connect (for the quizzes)

Professor Kaplan is a great teacher. He is very to the point and always wants to keep his students engaged. He sends you the syllabus way before the class even begins. There are only 2 tests, 1 group project, and 1 simple paper. Take him! He is a great guy and it's a good class. Also going to class will help you pass even more.

Great teacher-even taking a class on only mondays 4-6:45 (such a long time) it never really got boring. had a good speaking etiquette and easy to follow along with. always talked about interesting stuff and recent things in the news. glad i took his class.

He took the time to introduce our class to several successful and influential people from local ad agencies and marketing firms. His primary focus was been to aid in our growth and development both in and out of the classroom.

If you have the chance to take Professor Kaplan you must! Especially is you are a senior. His lectures are priceless in regards to how to land a job and how to perfect your resume. He is the nicest guy and will help you with absolutely anything. You will learn a lot without feeling overwhelmed with work.

Professor Kaplan is definitely one of the top educators at The College of Charleston. Typically at the beginning of every class, he'll spend about 15 mins just casually talking with the students to see how everyones doing. Super up beat guy with tons of experience in the fields of Marketing and Advertising. Give this man a gold medal!

Professor Kaplan is one of the best teachers I have had at CofC. He truly cares for his students and he wants them to succeed. His class is not hard but you do have to put in a little work, but if you do that then you are fine. One big group project, 2 tests, and a lot of online quizzes that are straight from the book. I took Kaplan's Retail Management class as an elective, he has been one of my best professors at the college who truly cares about his students. I enjoyed the class and the main team project, as well as multiple guest speakers and a field trip. The content and the class is extremely interesting, I would take this professor again!

Ferris is the boy. He used to be an executive at Disney Pictures so he has great advice and teaches you life lessons. He does résumé help and gets you ready for the real world. He's extremely experienced, knowledgeable, and a great teacher. Tests are fairly easy, just study the terms. Wish I could take him again, definitely take this class!

Professor Kaplan is a very genuine professor and has a lot of real world experience that he brings into the classroom. He is a rather tough grader for projects/papers and his tests can be tricky if you don't study a lot ahead of time for exams. Just make sure you put in the effort and you'll be fine.

This class is very straight forward and all assignments are laid out in the syllabus at the beginning of the semester. Weekly online quizzes, two tests, one presentation, and one paper. Highly suggest this class!

This is the first college class I've taken and felt like I'll actually use what I've learned. Professor Kaplan doesn't just teach from the textbook, but from his own personal business experience. Mr. Kaplan is the best teacher ive had at The College of Charleston. He is passionate at what he does and inspires the class. He brought in many relevant guest speakers who give great advice and lessons. His MKT 360 class was not a class but was more a lesson how to get a job after college, which all students need weather they know it or not.

Professor Kaplan was a great professor. He had a lot of insight in the work force (ask him about previous jobs he has held). He assigns a section of his lecture to editing resumes which is extremely valuable. It was an interesting course that I needed to complete my minor; I am glad I took it with him.

The exams are hard because there is a lot of information on them, but if you listen to his lectures and read the book you will do fine!

Ferris is awesome! I wasn't interested in this course prior to taking the class, I just had to take it as an elective & it actually turned out to be one of my favorite classes. Such a great teacher and clearly explains everything. Assignments are easy and you'll get a good grade if you show up and do all that is asked of you.

Kaplan is a really good professor. There are easy weekly quizzes based on the chapter, two tests and two projects. He's big on participation so don't take him if you're shy, but if you want to get out of your comfort zone and work on participating, take him. Professor Kaplan was one of the most down-to-Earth professors I've ever had. He does teach by the book, but goes out of his way to make the class much more about giving life advice. His extensive work history and experience helps him give us the steps we needed to make ourselves look better on paper and act better in person. Would take again 10/10.

Professor Kaplan was an excellent professor to have! I took his class on personal selling on a whim to have my MKTG elective credit fulfilled but he actually got me super interested into the topic. This is a 3 hour long class where he typically lectures about the chapter of the week and then provides assistance with resumes, job interviews, and professional skills. Participation really matters. Very sweet man, but very lecture heavy. Lectures with no slides.

Overall, I really enjoyed this class because Kaplan got me thinking about my future. He is always bringing in resumes and giving great advice. He also gives great advice on interviews. Professor Kaplan is a great instructor. He cares about his students and gets the class to participate. He lectures a lot but he changes it up with guest speakers , resume and job interview help. There is an assignment to interview a sale person and it was a really helpful project because you were essentially forced to network with professionals.

In this course, there were 2 papers, 2 exams, & weekly chapter quizzes on connect. The exams are not that bad, just make sure you study both the quizzes and the PowerPoints!
