Very tough. He didn't use a textbook so you only have his notes to study by. Which means you MUST attend EVERY class. There is nothing outside of notes to study. You will work for your grade.

This guy does as much as he can to help you to get the best grade you possibly can. From weighing your tests according to how well you do on them to awarding extra points for NOT coming to class (as well as attending), he really wants to help. Lectures are clear and very thorough. Homework and tests are a little hard, though.

this prof is GREAT!!! your not required to go to class but if you do not miss a day he gives 5 bonus points on your final grade. an 85 or above is considered an A!! very easy class to pass as long as you pay attention!!! he's a funny guy and has lots of stories, he tries to relate to the students!! He is a great teacher. You should take his ECO class. Take note and go over note and the PPT, you will get A easily. There are a lot of extra credits, too.

I took his online course. He video tapes his lectures and they are a tad bit dry, but I learned a lot and actually looked forward to homework. He does quizzes, homework, practice exams and extra credit. If you put your time into the class and do all these things, you will do well.

Breaks down the information very nicely. Gives super easy pop quizzes and short tests. HW and practice tests can be done online multiple times. Very fun class and made me want to attend every time. He really knows his stuff and knows how to teach as a intro class. Still have to pay attention and do the work.

Overall Dr. Gonzalez was a great professor. He responded to emails quick, was very helpful and he was pretty funny during lectures. I took his online Econ 2301 and made a B. There is a lot of work, and I had trouble getting some of the videos to download because they aren't all in the same format. But he is interesting to listen to and I loved his accent. He gives lots of examples.

Econ is an extremely boring subject but he is a good professor. Write everything he puts on the board. He gives a LOT of extra credit opportunities. You get points added to your final grade for attending class everyday. He give practice exams for every test. I recommend taking his class.

I took this class online and was surprised by how quicky the teacher responds back to emails and how willing he was to help students out. Yes you do have to teach yourself the information using the powerpoint notes so if you are not a good self learner do not take the class online

This course is tough no matter who your prof is. He does have a strong accent at times, but is willing to answer any of your questions and go over anything you don't understand. Good professor for a course most people don't fancy. Gives extra credit for exams regularly. The class slowed down closer to the end of the semester but I wasn't overwhelmed to prep for the final.

He is cool and amazing. He gives 4 exams total. You do need to take the final and it's comprehensive. The final exam is 15 percent of your grade, but it can replace your lowest test grade. Do not skip classes, take good notes, do the practice exam as many times as you can. Do the extra credits. Six quizzes, SUPER easy. Drop lowest quiz and HW.

Dr. Gonzalez is a cool guy. Four exams total, 3 are 25% and final is 15%. There are 6 homeworks and 6 quizzes, but he will drop the lowest one at the end of the semester. He posts grades on time. easy class if you study. Detail PPT and notes. Additionally, no absences will receive 2 extra credit points add to the final letter grade.

Overall the class was not bad. The video lectures were occasionally very long; however, I just read the topics myself instead of spending time on the videos. Do the extra credit practice!!! Dr. G is my favorite! Structured and organized class: extra credit practice exams, homework and pop quizzes. There are a lot of notes. Exams can be a little tricky, but as long as you review and take the practice exam prior, you'll do fine. It's a straight forward class. I highly recommend Dr. G!

His quizzes that he gives are always from the previous class. His tests are more multiple choice rather than actually doing work. So know the vocabulary and how it works. He is very helpful when you ask for it.

I'm terrible at this class but I still passed. His lectures are long but help a ton and he gives A TON of extra credit which might seem like a lot of work but its so worth it. His tests are proctored but as long as you know the work they aren't very hard.

He goes above and beyond to help you and will put in the effort to make you succeed, if you choose to do so. Take his China study abroad program in the summer. You'll have the time of your life. I took notes on the practice problems and taught myself. 3 Exams, the 4th is the Final replaces your lowest test grade & is mandatory. 6 Homework assignments and quizzes, drops the lowest one. Only for exams he uses Proctorfree, webcam program to monitor you. Online class is easier than in class

We had six homeworks, six quizzes, three exams, and a final. Homework is on BlackBoard. He posts practice quizzes as well, and if you receive between a certain grade, you get X number of bonus points added to your exam. His lectures are full of good information. He has an accent but will repeat himself if you ask. Attendance is taken daily.

This class was very interesting. 3 tests and a final exam. 6 super easy quizzes and 6 online homeworks. He drops your lowest quiz & HW grade and give PLENTY of extra credit. Take the practice exams on blackboard as many times as you can and the tests will be super easy.

Dr. Gonzalez is very thorough in his lectures. He provides examples that are very relatable to the students and easy to understand. The textbook is not a necessity if you are attentive in class and take detailed notes. Dr. Gonzalez has such a great attitude towards his students and is always helpful.

Fidel is BY FAR one of the best professors in SHSU economics department. I have taken him for 3 semesters now and loved his class more and more each time. Professor Gonzales is the best Macro professor on campus. His lectures use real world topics and always tells a few dad jokes here and there. The homework wasn't that much.

Absolutely love this prof. He does have an accent but you can understand he does have bad handwriting but you can read it. He is very passionate about econ and cares about his students. He offers tons of extra credit. You do need to study for test but he gives you a practice test you can do as many times as you need.

3357 Online was definitely more math than I anticipated, however nothing really difficult. Gives plenty of extra credit, multiple attempts on homework and quizzes, and the practice exams help you out so much. Anyone who takes this class and puts in 2-3 hours a week should at least make a B. Only negative are his lectures are sooo long.

This is not an easy class but Professor Gonzalez is really great. He helps you as much as a professor can possibly help. The course is laid out in a great way and its immediately clear that he wants his students to succeed. I would highly recommend taking Dr. Gonzalez for Macro and Microeconomics! He is a professor who cares about his students. He doesn't overload you with work and the textbook is not required. I thought he was funny, so his lectures stayed interesting. He gives you practice exams before each test which you have unlimited attempts to do.

Took Dr. G for 3357 online. This is the second class of his I've taken. There's a great amount of extra credit! If you watch the lectures and do the homework then you should pass the class. Exams are proctored, but he gives you a practice exam to help study. He was definitely one of the most understanding professors I've had this semester.

Have taken him for ECON 2302, 2301 & 3357. Class schedule is pretty straight forward and the same throughout all of his courses. Lectures are long but I recommend attending. He works with you if he notices that you attend the lectures and actually try with the homework. The practice exams prepare you for the actual exams and count as extra credit!

Professor G, is amazing! He is the reason I changed my major to international business. He does everything he can to make sure you get a good grade, extra credit and practice exams but don't put in the effort or work and you won't pass. Highly recommend!!!

I would recommend this professor! He is the best! His lectures are lengthy but entertaining. He gives a good amount of homework and quizzes, but they really do prepare you for his exams! Math is not my subject at all but he explains everything in great detail and emphasizes important parts to remember. Lots of lectures but they are broken up and you have some room to work at your own pace. Must watch the lectures though and absorb what is being said and you'll do fine. Didn't use the book once. Gonzalez is a really good professor. He gives hella extra credit and tests or only like 25 questions and there are 3 exams.. you get a practice exam which is extra credit before every exam as well as other extra credit assignments. Try and you can for sure pass.

There are 6 quizzes, 6 HW, 3 exams, and a mandatory final. He gives you chances to earn extra credit on exams, even the final! He's also very understanding, he's extended due dates for my class a couple times. If you watch his lecture videos (they're long) and take notes, then everything is easy. I cant believe I found a prof like him. Econ is hard but he made it seem so easy. His way of teaching is the best method because he is not stressing you with course he provides everything you need. Also he test are monitored but open notes. I even remember what was chapter one was about. TAKE IT THIS CLASS IF YOU WANT TO LEARN WITHOUT STRESS.

The lowest homework and quiz grades were dropped, and they had unlimited attempts so there is no reason for you to do bad on them. Exams allow 2 attempts but the final exam also replaced your lowest test grade. The exams basically just use the questions from the hw and quizzes. A good grade might require effort but I wouldn't call it hard.

Unlimited homework attempts, 2 attempts on quizes and exams, you can use notes on exams, comprehensive notes. As long as you write down what he writes during lectures you will get an A in this class. Great professor, too. Great lectures and funny guy. Class groupme's are moderated by him, but he's very talkative in them and will help anytime in it.

AMAZING & entertaining professor. He helped students LEARN instead of MEMORIZE the material, & yet the workload isn't huge. You get several days to take 2 attempts on each exam, open book/notes, the option to take them online or in-person, final exam grade replaces lowest test grade, & extra credit practice exams (just like the exam) are given.

I did not enjoy the subject, but really enjoyed the professor. He loves what he teaches and cares about his students. Very understanding and willing to help. This class is not easy but if you work for it you will pass. Definitely recommend going to class because his lectures help a lot. Open note tests, but definitely need to still study.

Dr.G is one of the most caring professors I know. He gives two attempts on each test. There are practice problems you can do that are very similar to the test. If you are willing to put in the work you will see it reflect in your grade. I will be taking him again.

If I planned my time right, I was sometimes able to go a week without thinking about his class. You can't work ahead, because he releases each assignment.

His teaching style is entirely by hand on the whiteboard during class, so it can be a difficult adjustment, but he is always willing to explain more. Heavy homework, tests are hard. Use your resources, pay attention, and you'll pass.

Great professor! Watch the lectures and work through the practice questions. The exams are proctored, but he provides a practice exam and review sessions to help with studying. He's very responsive and has a GroupMe for the class. There's more math involved than I expected. The course includes 10 homework assignments, 3 exams, and a final.

Great professor, he makes content seem easy to understand with lectures.1 homework every week (10 total). Does examples of homework in class and has a review for exams. Exams are broken into parts, there is extra credit, multiple attempts per part, and you are allowed a sheet of notes. Overall, a pretty easy class if you attend lectures regularly.

This class would have been easier if it was offered in person, but Dr. Gonzalez does his best with the resources he has. He provides numerous videos of lecture describing concepts and always provides substantial extra credit on exams. Practice exams are identical to his exams and the perfect way to study. He truly wants his students to succeed.

This class is very difficult but Fidel does everything he can to make it enjoyable and passable. He gives multiple extra credit opportunities for each test, and gives 2 attempts for each test. There are practice exams that can be taken as many times as you want which look similar to the tests. His tests do require lockdown.

Great professor for such a dreaded subject. Gives multiple chances to get an A. If you don't get a decent grade, you honestly would have to take the (2-3 tries) he gives you blindfolded! The lecture videos are kinda long, but follow his practice exams for the actual tests and you'll be fine. Awesome person to teach this topic!

Dumbs down concepts. Each exam has 2 attempts and bonus point opportunities, and are preceded by extra credit practice exams. There are 10 homework assignments, 10 questions each. 2 lowest are dropped. If the grade on the final is higher than a regular 1-3 exam, the final replaces it. Provides late versions of homework and exams. Funny at times.

Honestly one of my favorite professors. He gives you lots of chances to pass which is awesome. His tests are online but they're proctored. You should be able to pass the exams if you do the homework and the practice exams which have unlimited attempts. I definitely recommend taking him!
