She is awesome and so helpful if you need help. I was covid positive and she was dropping lowest exam, lowest quiz and lowest lab so I was able to survive in her class. I am planing to take her and get A this time.
She means well and wants you to learn. She is up front about her expectations and syllabus and expects no less. 5 week course was a lot to handle with a full time job but ended up with a 88. For a full semester she would probably be great. Don't buy the textbook. Her exams are lecture based.
Professor believes 89.99 is a B and wont round the grade Thats bad nope, 89.99 should be an A but okay.
She is really a very nice person. She wants you to be successful. I used her office hours she was really trying to help you. I wish I could took her face to face. I heard amazing things about her face to face classes. I took online and summer class but it was still fine and doable. Take her!
She is very quick to answer the emails.I was very surprised how she was that fast. I always emailed her and she helped me with short videos and pictures to explain me the questions. It was still hard but I didn't feel alone and not supported.
Dr.B is very clear about her expectation. She follows the syllabus 100%. The class was hard itself and taking it online makes it harder but I survived because of her organized online class structure. I took her face to face in 2425 and she was excellent. But I am still glad I took her online class. Take her!
I took her in person on 1401 class and she was great. But I had to take her on online 1402 class and she was still very good. I prefer her face to face class but she was very organized and helpful in any kind of class. Take her!
Grading criteria is very clear but she is very disciplined to keep the rules. If she told you 89.9% will not be an A, it will not be. The lectures are very structured and easy to follow. Class material is always available in an extremely organized way. Labs are a little boring. If learning the subject is your priority, I recommend her classes.
Professor is very straight forward. Follows the syllabus exactly and there is no surprises. As long as you watch lecture videos with example problems and do homework you will do great. The tests will have problems similar to the examples in lectures and homework, that is all you need to study. Practice the problems multiple times it will help!
She is the one if you want to know what to expect from the class from the first day. She is very organized and she even sends weekly announcements to reminds you what to do that specific week. Her exams questions are very similar to lecture videos and hw. Take her!
She is awesome. She is always nice and helpful to me when I reach out her. But don't ask her extra credit or curving the grade. She is very strict about the rules. Other than that, take her!
The quizzes are only 25 minutes long, and the multiple choices for each question are 10+. you either get a 100 or a 75, and they can affect your grade. I kept missing one question and I couldn't get an A on the class even if I get 100 on the final. don't take her if you want an A on physics 2. Good luck
Get ready to watch 5+ hour long lectures per chapter and 4-15 answer choices per question on tests and quizzes. Don't bother asking for extra credit or rounding of your grade, the professor will make it clear from day one and continually remind you throughout the semester. Learned more from 10 minutes of YouTube than hours of those lectures.
Please, do not take this professor, unless you want to get a low grade. Lectures are very long, she took like 20 minutes to explain why opposite attracts on magnets. She will not give you extra credit, no matter how many times you ask. She won't even answer you. she doesn't round up grades if you have a 69.99, you'll fail the class good luck
Probably the worst professor I have taken in all of college. It is nearly impossible to get an A; I had to sacrifice my social life just to keep an A in this class. The professor takes forever to explain the materials in the lectures: each week requires you to watch at least 4 hours of her boring videos. I definitely regret taking this class.
Professor Bekisli is not the best professor. Her lectures are 4 hours long. She takes a lot of time explaining stuff that still we do not understand. When she explain something a problem, she doesnt do it at the same time. Everything in the problem is written and solve, so it is hard to understand how to solve a phys problem. I dont recommend her
She is very fair and instructions are straightforward. Easy A if you follow them. Lecture videos are sometimes long but they contain all the practice questions you need for the exams.
This class went very smoothly and ended up with an A for me. I definitely recommend Professor B if you dont like surprises. Homework is not graded but homework questions appear on exams. Others are from the lecture notes. Requires some studying, yes, but not super difficult.
Good professor, good class. There is too much material to cover during the semester and she is doing a great job.
The professor does a good job with detailed lectures that help you understand the concepts being presented. She is also quick to respond to any questions a student may have about the lectures and shows a clear desire to want every student to succeed. Due to this, she expects everyone to put in the effort to excel and will not tolerate slacking.
She is the best! I can't imagine surviving from online class without her help and her perfectly organized class. Take her but get ready to study.
I took her for both 1401 (in person) and 1402 (online). I liked her in both version of her teaching but I found the in person class easier to understand. It is my personal choice. She is the best.
I took both 1401 and 1402 classes 3 years ago. I still use her notes in my major. She is the most caring professor ever. But be careful she is very strict about the rules on the syllabus.
Prof B is an excellent instructor and advisor. She is very friendly and helpful. Key to success in this class is to use the office hours as online setting can be tough for learning. Lecture videos are sometimes long but well organized. Exam questions are almost the same as class examples.
She is one of the best professor I've ever have. She is very nice, caring and fair. She has a slight accent but I got used it very fast. I learned a lot in her class. She usually ask questions from classroom examples and homework in exams and quizzes.
I am glad I took her for both 1401 and 1402 classes. I am not very good at math and physics but her classes were very straightforward and her expectations was very clear.
She is very nice and kind. She is a great professor. Lectures are very long but if you listen to it, you can follow it easily. There are 3 exams, 6 quizzes and 9 labs.
She is the nicest professor ever. She helps you a lot. She was sending me short videos explaining my questions. But she is very strict about her rules. No extra credits or rounding the grades.
She is really nice. She explains the subject very well and through. I loved her in person class but I had dropped the first time because of mu health problems. I took her again because she is the best.
I really enjoyed her face to face class. She is very nice and very good. She cares about her students.
I took Dr. B online for the summer. I have never taken physics before and she made this class so clear and organized. Physics is not easy but she explained everything clearly and took the time to answer your question thoroughly. No extra credit but drops one quiz, lab, and exam. Listen to lecture and do the hw, and you will do well in her class.
Her lectures are so so so long, boring, repetitive and at times confusing. I have never had a professor take so long to explain one problem. She overexplains to the point it gets confusing. Maybe she's better in person, but man, her online class was better taught by YouTube. Better for those who learn by watching/listening to 2-4 hour long videos.
I took 2425 and 2426 in person with her. She is very nice and caring. Take her!
I wish all my professors would be like her. She is tough but she is also so caring and nice. She helped me a lot with all my questions I sent her through email even in the evening.
I just took Physics 1 for my engineering major, and Professor.B is one of the best professors I've ever had. The way she teaches is the way that I always expect from most of the professors. She teaches very detail, very easy to understand if you pay attention. If you don't understand anything, ask right away, and she will explain detail for you.
Her online lecture are long/5hrs, boring, and useless. The labs and quiz only worth 35% of the grade. The 3 exams/40% + finals/25% are hard, 3hrs long, and nothing like the quiz or examples. The online examples given are hand written from her and have lot of errors. I don't recommend taking this course, if you take her class be careful.
Her lectures are very in detail and thorough. If you need a lot of time to digest a topic, she will be great for you.
I took her 6 wk summer class. (3 exams for 25 Questions 2.5hrs 40%), (5 quizzes for 4 questions for 25 minutes 15%), (1 final 25%), (8 labs 20%), and HW is optional. She drops 1 lowest grade from each. Her tests were surprisingly not cam or lockdown. Her lectures are pretty heavy. Being online asynchronous use that to help you. Not a bad class
Dr. Bekisli is an Amazing lecturer and teacher. My only issue with her class when I took it over summer was that I was putting in 5-6 hours a day everyday. Now I understand that a summer session is going to be more intense but It was ridiculous If you are like me and physics takes a while for you to understand don't take her class
Incredibly rude in emails and announcements. Grades labs to the smallest detail, leading to losing points over small mistakes. Exams are similar to homework.
The way Dr.B teaches is what I have been expecting from many professors. I can see her deep love for Physics through the way she teaches, and she tried to help students as much as she could. I can clearly understand the concept and even still remember what she taught us. She is one of the best professors that I've ever had at Lone Star.
I took both Physics 2425 and 2426 from her. I overall loved this professor and the classes I have taken with them. I am a much more confident student in physics thanks to her.
I love Prof B and her classes. She makes it so easy for you with lots of practice questions. She is super helpful outside the class as well and gets you up to speed whenever you fall behind.
Took her SUMMER course, which was packed, hence the difficulty, but I think a regular session would be manageable. I had trouble with her accent in the videos, but notes on exams were helpful. No camera. Good professor. Lowest exam (40%), lab (20%), and quiz (15%) are dropped. Don't get behind. Video examples similar to exam questions, iirc.
Prof. B's lectures are thorough and engaging. With her guidance and helpful office hours, plus Unstuck study for extra practice, you can grasp even the toughest physics concepts. Mandatory attendance and no textbook make this a challenging yet rewarding class.
never had to put so many hours into a class. physics is difficult, but the extent of how much work I put in every week was intense for her course. online lectures are long & her work and notes are sometimes wrong and poorly written. replies to emails aren't professional either. bad attitude when I asked for an explanation regarding a lab question
Prof B is the best! She will do anything to make you successful but you need to invest time and effort for sure. It is a difficult class and she makes it as easy as possible if you follow her directions. If learning is your priority, she is the one!
This class is relatively easy as long as you put in the time. The professor is a tough grader, so make sure always to show your work and how you got your answers. Other than that, the simulations are straightforward to follow. I took this class because I needed it to transfer to my university.
Professor B really cares about the class. I've learned a lot in the class. I would say Dr. B is one the best professors I've ever taken since my college path. If you want to learn and have a good professor, Take Professor B!
Don't be dump like me and Believe these rates!! She is so bad and she don't give any extra credit and also she gives a lot of assignment. There is so many good professors that you can take! I'm going to retake this class to get an A, cuz like wtf i got a 87 and she didn't even give us a chance to do any extra credit like other professors.
