She was wonderful! The class didn't do well onthe midterm, so she gave a make up quiz to get 25% worth of your exam back. Her quizzes and exams come straight from her lecture powerpoints and the lab manual. No trick questions, just straight forward. I will definitely take her again.
She's amazing. She does her best to help the students. She will help you no matter what. Her test are straight up from the lecture and book. Recommended, great professor.
She's an amazing professor, her lectures are very clear and straight forward. She will explain the Lab procedure until you understand all the material and feel ready to do it by yourself. She makes the class fun and is a very nice person. You should chose her as a professor, you won't regretted.
Very helpful professor. She will do her best to help the students pass. She wants the best grade for everyone. Straight up test, no surprises. Great professor. Take her, you'll enjoy being in her class
I'm glad I took her. She's the best. Teaches very well and will tell you what to study. No tricks or surprises. Simple quizzes, midterm, and final. Please take her
Very good professor, willing to help any time you need. I recommend 100%.
Dr. Wald is an outstanding professor. One of the best at MDC. She is fair, respectfull, funny, and is always willing to help her students. She will never test you on anything she has not lecture. I recommend her 100%.
Amazing professor! Very caring and always willing to help out in the lab. I wish more professors were as great as her! I highly recommend this professor for lab! Study the lab assignments because the tests come straight from there.
Great Professor , I had her for organic 1 lab, you will learn for sure.
AMAZING! She really really is on YOUR side. The best professor I have come across at dade by far. She truly wants you to learn. Her tests come from the problems in the back of each lab experiment in the manual. Her quizzes from background and procedures. Overall, wish she was my professor for every organic chem class!! AMAZING!!!
Highly recommend this professor. She is passionate about teaching and chemistry and works very hard to make it easy to learn and understand. She genuinely wants her students to grasp the concepts and do well. She provided reviews for the test. And is more than happy to answer questions and review any topic that a student is having trouble with.
This professor is the best, she change the way I think about chemistry. she is the at mdc 4 test, drop he lowest and give u points for 3 assignments to make up for the lowest test its essay to get an A. don't be lazy test are exactly as the material in the book she is very helpful and respond to emails really fast she is the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great professor take her class she is so nice and helpful she would really try to make the class easy for you to pass extra credit and help with homework and test. she knows all her stuff. any question she can answer. i recommend taking the lab with her as well.
Professor Flavia isn't good. I am a good student. I am not super smart but when a professor explains well I can get an A on test. She doesn't know how to explain. She only memorizes the powerpoints and say they aloud. Don't let you analyses just explained to her. She is a good person but as a professor is useless. Ohhh the test are super hot.
She's a nice person an all, but as a teacher shes not so good, she sends you review to study on exams, but when you take the exam it has nothing the review she sends you has. She should give a study guide before each exam and make sure those reviews are whats gonna be in the exam
Good teacher, don't miss her class or you'll feel lost. She does not mind explaining things more than twice. Cons: powerpoints are endless its like a mini textbook. Make sure you feel comfortable with the math part. Overall, good professor but you need to study, study!
Excellent Professor! She’s very helpful. Power points are useful for those who don’t have or can’t buy a book. This class requires you to study every day; leaving everything for the last day before the test will guarantee failure. The required assignments help you with your study. Both in her lecture and lab, her teaching is clear and thorough.
She is very nice and helpful during class, BUT SHE IS A TOUGH GRADER!!!!!!! I'm taking her for chm1033 lab and it's very difficult to get a 100% on the pre-labs or lab reports. If one little thing is missing, there goes 5 or 10 points. She is good at explaining the material. As for the exams, theres no reviews which makes it very difficult.GOODLUCK
This professors is Kind but she means business. She knows her subject but teaches it quickly and chemistry is not easy to understand. She will fail you if she has to. Not the tye of teacher to help or give you extra credit to boost up your grade. she goes by the book. dont take her if your clueless in chemistry its hard.
well.ms.wald is a great teacher, and funny. anyways you have to study your butt off if you want an A in her class. yes she is a tough grader but i personally think thats how it should be because as you study multiple times it just stays stuck in your head.anyways take her shes not bad at all.just study and you.ll be fine.
This is a very very hard subject , dont take this teacher. she teaches to quickly and expects you to understand. She is a tough grader is not willing to help you boost your grade. so dont take her if you think this is easy. she not willing to help on grades if your failing she will fail you. not any easy subject to begin with. ;(
Bad prof. Don take her if you don't want to star heat chemistry. She doesn't know how to explain.
She is a great professor. She explains everything very well and in a way to make you understand and make everything simpler. She's also pretty funny which is a plus because this subject isn't very fun. I have not finished this class yet but so far I have an A and btw have no background at all in chm. All her test are multiple choice too..
She is very nice and helpful during class and after class. the pre-labs or lab reports help a lot.She is good at explaining the material. I recommend her 100%.
EXTREMELY recommendable. SUPER sweet, nice, and smart. Very helpful and easy class. PICK HER. NO DOUBT.
She is great and very helpful! Best teacher i've had, she believes in her students and is always there to help thm
Best teacher ever. So glad i took her. Easiest class and she is the nicest person on earth. Do yourself a favor and take her.
She is a HORRIBLE teacher. Has strong accent. Expects you to know material & is very fast paced. If you know the material, take her; if not you will suffer if you DON'T Study. Only extra credit she gives is if you get an A on her tests. 4 tests. No graded homework. No other way to help your grade! I DO NOT RECOMMEND HER!!!!
This lady is a robot. She will cover 2 chapters in 3 days, reading her slides verbatim. Your grade consists of FOUR tests and nothing else. You will literally learn more studying yourself than attending her class. If you DO NOT study everyday, you will fail with her. She does not issue study guides or hint what will be on the test. HORRIBLE
Do not take her! One of the worst teachers I've ever taken. Her powerpoints are boring and complicated and she offers no study guides for her difficult tests!! Your grade solely depends on tests so if you're a bad test taker, your grade will suffer. Pick someone else if you want to learn chemistry! This lady expects everyone to be a scientist.
She goes on and on with her agenda. Not many reviews but her tests are very easy. She is very nice and would help you if you ask her with great attitude.
Difficult subject, if you do not practice often. You must learn the material quickly, as she does not play any games. If you're a bad test taker, I would definitely not recommend this professor, as your grade is solely composed of tests. you will NOT BE PROVIDED WITH A STUDY GUIDE, so don't think otherwise. Hardest professor ive taken thus far!
the worse professor i ever had in all my life. I had to study all by the book cause she expects that every one should know the material. she must know we have taking her class to leaned about chemistry. no extra credits 4 test and the last was accumulative. no study guide. she only gave us one and was nothing to do with the test. she is horrible.
Extremely good professor. She's very clear, and helped me understand a lot of things that my lecture professor did a poor job at explaining. She's also very sweet, and believes in her students. I would recommend her a thousand times, and would take her for any class that I could!
I love her!think of a lovely lady that repeats until every student has understood the subject.I would get annoyed because sometimes she would go over and over and over the same subject so that everyone gets it. She drops the lowest grade.Study because the exam comes from the chapter on the book, do the hw and you will pass. she is wonderful
She send you the powerpoint before the lessons so you wont have to sit there trying to take notes and miss something. She is very clear about what she is teaching. the tests are very easy and multpile choice.
WOW. I just said WOW!. she is interesting in the students who passing, and she helps her students to reach the goal and teach them clearly. recommended her.
Do not take this class if it's 6 weeks. It's hardest class ever!
This class is extremely difficult, but with studying it truly helps! She has worksheets with different types of problems and sends power points. She'll explain topics as much as she needs to to get her students to understand. She is ALWAYS available for help and replies to emails very fast. She is supper sweet I loved her!
Took this professor for the second half of CHM1033, the organic chemistry part. Omg horrible professor, has a horrible accent, impossible to understand her at times, didn´t use the book not even once, didn´t do any actual explanation on the board and just simply SUCKS! The first half professor was amazing, it truly was a drastic change.
Professor Wald is an incredible professor. Truly goes out of her way for her students. However, she doesn't give assignments or anything else, you only have 4 tests and that's it. But I promise you, if you attend class and look over power points you'll be fine. Also, she gives extra credit throughout the semester!
I took Professor Wald my first semester, and I can say she is an awesome professor. She is very clear, she sends you the power points which she uses during lecture and she's there for you. She explains everything thoroughly, she's very sweet, a little bit of an accent but not horrible. Her tests are derived from the power points so read them.
Attendance is essential to passing. 1 pre lab (1-3 easy workbook pages, the answers are in the book) and 1 lab report due each week. The labs were easy, she explained everything beforehand. Assignments are 45%, 3 tests are 50%. Very fair, she will give you partial points on the free- response tests. She has an accent but it's understandable.
Do not take Biochemistry with her!!!! You will have 10-12 chapters per test and no extra credit. One to two chapters per class just reading the power points. If you missed a class or a lab she will say " not to worry" & towards the end you will be missing points. You will not learn anything with her.
DO NOT TAKE HER!!!!!!!! I will never recommend her. As a person she is really mica and she listen what the students have to say. However, test are super hard, lectures are long, boring and you need to devote more than 3 hours per day if you want to pass the class. She does not care for tardiness, but she does care for attendance.
like her. her class is alright. hate her homework though, that online program sucks
she's definitely a power point professor. Talks and talks, doesn't put a lot of effort into making sure her students understand just wants to cover the material as quick as possible. she's sweet but not a good professor. I learned everything reading the book and watching youtube videos, class was pointless
she is a power point professor, rarely explains anything on the board. I really don't care much for her accent because she is quite sweet, but she's not a very good professor :
Very nice professor. Uses powerpoints in class and also emails them to you. She does problems on the board and answers any questions you have. Her tests were not hard if you STUDY. Just do the homework on the book and you will be perfectly prepared. Loved her and would definitely take her again.
To be fair it was her first time teaching the course, but god it was torture. 1 chapterday, 9 - 12 chapter exams. The extra credits barely helped. Chemistry isn't my strongest subject, I hope I don't have to take a Chem class ever again.
Professor Wald is a great teacher. The class itself is extremely tough. If you put in the hours to study and visit her during office hours when you're having problems, I guarantee you you will pass and understand chemistry. She's so helpful and so nice.
Dr. Wald is a great professor. She truly enjoys teaching & is absolutely willing to help during her office hours whenever needed. Teaches from PP & sends it to email; breaks down material so that it's easy to understand. Tests are very easy if you studypractice and reread thru PP. 4 tests: 2 "midterms" (8 ch. each) and 2 regular (4 ch. each).
Professor Wald is a wonderful educator. I have been struggling with this class for quite a time but thanks to her help I was able to pass it with an A. She is always there to answer any questions at any time. I definitely recommend her. You won't regret it.
Professor Wald is a wonderful! She teaches very well and she is very nice, if you don't understand something she will explain it to you. Her tests are very easy if you study a lot! There are no surprises on the tests, just study the problems throughout the book, do the quizzes at the end of book, and you will be fine.
She js rhe best professor at MDC, if you want to learn, have a fun time and finish with an A in the class take her!! You need to study but the class is easy.
i took this class for summer term and half of it was with another professor , this professor saved my grade in chemistry. she teaches with so much passion , gives a lot of examples , lets the class answer examples during lecture ,and answers any questions you may have .you do have to study , just because chemistry is hard no matter the professor.
horrible just horrible powerpoint professor. perfect class for someone that cant read
chemistry is hard but she made it a thousand times better. She explains everything in a matter that is cristal clear. I didnt use the book al semester I just used the powerpoints and I did really good. you do have to study since is chemistry but she wil make is fun, interesting, and clear. her homework online is very simple.
she believes in health and wellness, so gives extra credit opportunities for going to the gym and zumba! every point helps when doing upper division biochemistry! my friend is taking BCH at north campus with williams and she is averaging a C, while i'm averaging an A!!! if you want your GPA, take flavia -- she is a sweetheart who is there for you!
Her extra credits consist of money, so if you're broke you can forget about that. No reviews for any of her tests. You can tell she knows her stuff but she is not a good proffesor, don't make the same mistake I did.
Such a beautiful person. She asked us our feedback about how to improve the course and she listens to suggestions! I'm sure if you tell her about financial difficulty she will find an alternative way to offer extra credit. My friend said the same thing, that they couldn't afford the gym extra credit, but they smoked a pack a week! No excuse!
Awesome professor, extra credit, four test, online quiz, you have to read and study in order to pass, the professor is very helpful.
She is a kind woman, but tends to skip intermediary steps while explaining concepts, which doesn't alleviate confusion for anyone unfortunate enough to not already be ahead of the understanding curve. At the time I thought she was a poor professor but I've had worse since. MDC science has me longing for the days of mere mediocrity! My rating: "eh".
She is amazing her lectures are clear, she gives different options for extra credit, quizzes and test require you to know the material, the tests are easy if you study, don't take this class if you are not determined to spend days studying.
Amazing Professor! Wow! I switched my major immediately after taking this class! Some people are born with the ability to teach other people and this is definitely the case! Prof. Wald has inspired me to go out and make a difference in the world and I will definitely take her again. I love chemistry ahhhh
I posted once before, but want to offer some words of wisdom to future students. She has her PhD in Biochem, so this is her passion! Put phone on airplane mode and record lectures! I would re-listen to lectures and read e-book on my tablet while walking the treadmill! When finished reading each chapter, I had walked 2-3 miles!! Win/win!! ^_^
Don't get fooled by her niceness. She will kill you in the tests and lab reports. She runs over power points and tests are super specific. Wouldn't take her again.
Professor Wald is a very sweet lady, however if you wanna go through endless power points with an overload of material that really does not help much than be my guest. Would NOT take her again!
This professor sucks
I really don't know how people can talk bad about her, she was a really good professor. She would go over the lectures and made it easy to understand and go along with. If you didn't understand she would repeat herself until you would get it. 4 test and a final which replaces lowest. If chemistry is hard for you i recommend you take her.
I would of loved to take her for CHM1045 but she was all taken so I am going to wait. This teacher is amazing. If you take her you will be blessed.
Trust me when I say Professor Wald is awful. Her test are EXTREMELY hard to the point where l'd study and still fail. She doesn't prepare you for the test at all, all she does in class is practice problems, but will end up throwing in questions on the test that she never discussed in class. Don't take her class if you wanna pass with a good grade
Professor Wald is one of the worst professors I've had at MDC. Her test are really hard and she doesn't cover all the info on the test. Lots of HW. She rushes through her power points and only does repetitive practice problems in class. Pretends to care about her students, but could careless if you are struggling. She is awful, don't take her class
She is a really good professor. You need to do some homework but is online and she cares for the students. The test are easy but long just pay attention and you'll pass ;)
She is a really good professor, yes you have to study in order to pass the class with a good grade, but she will help students in every aspect. I loved her class. She also gives like three options of extra credit.
this professor has yet to explain anything in class. she rushes through her lectures, and only does practice problems on the board. she then erases them quickly and moves on fast, she doesnt take her time to explain how its done. i have absolutely no idea why she has good ratings on this website, it baffles me lol.
Professor Wald is the best. I wish she was still my teacher She has the most caring soul. She is always available in her office and will even adjust her time frames to help you. Chemistry is a hard subject and requires lots of studying even with an amazing professor life her so those people that are giving her bad reviews probably didn't try enough
Says to go to tutoring in order to perform better in class found myself going to tutoring and buying books nothing helped. In class she goes through the power points really quickly. Furthermore you actually think you're getting the material and when you take the test you find out you actually know nothing. Nothing has helped me. She's nice ...
Easy A. Highly recommend. You have to study in order to pass this class but it's chemistry what do you expect? No book is required. 4 exams and a final but online hw is mandatory 10% of the grade but is a good review for exams. lots of extra credit opportunity.
Lectures do NOT prepare u for exams. PPT's from Pearson 'Intro to Gen/Org Chem' 11th ed, but class textbk by another pub & credits MDC for input. I bought Pearson textbk/ Study Guide & Solutions Manual. Clearly Prof's exam questions/diagrams direct from Pearson bks. If that's not cheating, don't know what is. Shame on MDC. Nothing authenticWald.
She's nice & helpful for the most part. But you need to study A LOT to get a good grade in this class. It is not easy and requires time. I suggest that you try to balance work, life, and school so you have time to study. Also, she said the book was not mandatory. GET THE BOOK. I stressed and studied it all semester long and finished with an A.
Prof Wald is one of the sweetest professors ive taken thus far however her class isnt as sweet. Grade is based on 5 exams with 4 poinst extra credit opportunity. Her tests are extremely hard, cramming is not an option, i learned that the hard way! although shes hard she cares about her students and is very passionate of the subject.
In order to pass any chemistry you need to study A LOT! Professor Wald is a great professor and gives a lot of examples in her powerpoints. There is extra credit so TAKE ADVANTAGE! Any extra credit does make a difference towards your final grade. Homework is 10% so DO IT! Also, there is PLTL which helps a lot. Study at least 5+ hours a day :)
Professor Wald is an excellent professor, but her exams are extremely hard. You need to study A LOT to pass even more to get an A. However, she is very caring with her students.... But don't get confuse with her nice personality, the test will be HARD
This professor was kind and willing to help. I found what helped me was reviewing the material outside of class. Books are not required. Homework is mandatory. What helped me passed was the module lab book! Outstanding personality but her tests are hard. LOTS OF MEMORIZATION required. YOU MUST STUDY TO PASS! Your grade is earned NOT given!
I love wald, one of my favorite chem professors ever. She teaches very well and provides several extra credit opportunities. Chemistry is a hard subject so put in your part and you'll see good results. SHOW ALL YOUR WORK she makes this a big deal while teaching and believe me it'll help you. She's so sweet!
She honestly deserves a way higher rating than what she has here. She's an awesome professor who explains everything clear and goes over anything she needs to make sure all her students understand the material. Her class is fun and interesting to say the least. Not gonna lie, it's a hard class, but all sciences are hard so that should be expected
Good at teaching and she likes to have fun while doing it, be careful not to get behind because if you do you will find yourself in trouble, although lectured were good, they were rushed several times making material a little harder to understand. Overall good professor to take!
She gives lectures in her own words. Very hard to understand her. Tests are hard and lectures barley help. If you're just learning chemistry i would strong not recommend her.
Flavia is an EXCELLENT professor. She makes lectures easy to understand and is very funny. She provides several easy extra credit opportunities which I highly recommend you do. She is willing to explain things as many times as possible so everyone in class understands. Shes very nice. You obviously have to early your grade, its chemistry.
OK, yeah you need to work for it. But her lectures are easy to understand. She will make you work for the A. Tests are hard but not if you pay attention in class and study. She also gives extra credit.
She does not tell you what the test will have only what chapters. NO homework to help and the quizes help very little. Her lectures come from powerpoints and she does not explain the material well. If you need to pass this class DOOOOONT take her! I studied everyday and never got a passing score and the powerpoints DONT match the test. DONT DO IT
Stay away from Professor Wald. She is a tough grader and hard to understand
It's like math, you have to practice to grasp it. If you put in the work you will do well. You will need to develop good study habits and make a commitment of at least 6 hours a week to review the material. She's always available for extra help.
if you want to fail chem, take her. Her lectures are horrible and a waste of time. NOTHING makes sense when the tests are infront of you. She doesn't care about you, she moves on super fast and expects you to understand everything thats going on. whatever you do, don't chose professor Wald as your chem professor, you will regret it.
Prof. Wald is amazing. She explains everything very detailed. When she lectures, she makes sure everybody understand the material. The class itself is not easy, but if you take PLTL classes and go to the lab, you will do fine. You have to practice a lot. The quizzes on blackboard are hard. She does not require the book but it is helpful. Take her
Hardest teacher Ive taken so far at Miami dade. You really need to work hard in this professors class. It is chemistry so it wont be easy thats why you need to study. She gives 4 tests. 2 of them are midterms and she doesnt give a final. Overall shes a nice person and does give extra credit
She gave a lot of extra credit opportunities and has a huge curve on the overall final grade. If you don't study or review best you can get in the class is a C. Don't take it for granted because in reality the stuff done in class is cake.
Worst teacher ever at mdc the lecture and the test were two complete different things what she taught was completely different from her test.
she is good person and professor but her tests are veryyyyyy difficult. So be careful this class can drop your GPA
She wasnt bad, she looked like she knew her stuff, you do have to study on your own and review somethings but overall her lectures were pretty straight forward and clear.
Best chem professor ever in my opinion, if you print out the powerpoints and just listen to her lecture and write down little notes on things she says in class, you will pass! she doesn't give study guides but she explains everything into detail and if you don't understand something you can always go to her office hours, loved her!!!!
Professor Wald Is super nice and explains everything very well. Ofcourse it is Chem so you have to study on your own. She assigns homework on knewton and that doesn't take longer than 20 minutes and she provides worksheets to practice materials. The test are all multiple choice and she always provides a review. Highly recommend
I enjoyed taking Chem 1033 with Professor Wald. She would present the lectures very nicely and always reassure we grasped the material before moving on to the next topic. I never thought I would actually enjoy chemistry. Thank you Professor Wald!
Wald is a great professor. She cares about her students and tries to make sure that everyone understands what is going on during her lectures. Her lectures are based off the textbook(s) so you really only need to pay attention to the lecture. If you miss class, catch up on the lecture (she posts them online) and do the homework.
She is amazing, she cares about you. Class itself is just doing the experiments and reports. 3 tests based in the exercises of each report. do study sheets, review EXERCISES. 1 make up lab. she grades notebook, lab report, and tests. She is one of my fav proff. in kendall. Go to her office she will help you a lot.
She does not thoroughly explain the material, you have to teach yourself. Her tests are very hard, the homework somewhat helps. Her lectures take up the whole class time and even a bit more.
The tests are too hard, and she gave you too many questions for one hour test.
The professors teaching style is horrible. She does not explain material enough or in a way one can understand it. She goes through the material very quickly. It is a lot of information to learn and the test covered too many topics at once. By far the worst class ever!!!
Lectures are terrible,
I really like Flavia. I think she teaches everything you need to know in a very detailed manner. The subject is a little dry and I think thats why so many people might tune out in the lectures or become disengaged from the subject. To get an A, you do have to study a lot, but again, she explains everything you need to know if you pay attention.
Exams are difficult. She rushes through her lectures.
I failed chemistry the first time around and did it the second time with Prof Wald... I LOVE HER she was amazing.. Since i knew this class was challenging for me i sat in the very front seat.. it helped alot.. though she goes fast she still explains enough for you to understand. Gives EXTRA CREDIT. i wish she were teaching the other CHEMs !!
** ALSO she gives practice exam questions.. not like other teachers that just write topics you need to know... she uses an app called top hat, through there she assigns class work (done in class during powepoints) and 5 questions for module homework. EASY POINTS... dont need textbook but i had mine, and it helped alot to read/practice questions.
She rushes through lectures, is all over the place, she teaches things more difficult than it should be and confusing! She is very nice but don't recommend her class whats so ever.
Shes really nice but shes a super hard grader. test are really difficult, i would study all the time spend hours in the tutoring lab and still wouldnt get an A. You have to show work on the test to get credit if not she marks it wrong. goodluck.
A little bit confusing when you first meet her, but overall a good teacher. Willing to help and to make the classroom a funny place to learn. She wont give back tests even to check them out except during office hours, she may make some mistakes when grading so be aware and check your tests!. Otherwise, a good choice.
all her lectures are accessible by PowerPoint, however you are only graded on quizzes and homework, I had her for lecture and lab and she's a tough grader on lab reports. takes points for the slightest errors. I spent countless hours in the study lab and if it wasn't for extra credit there was no hope for passing
Prof Flavia is one of the best professor Ive ever had . She explains everything so good and so detailed that it makes you actually love chemistry, she has a really good app thats called Top Hat which is a really good tool when it comes to learning and retaining info . Rewrite your notes ! Study ! And do your homework!
Best Chemistry teacher in MDC
She's amazing! If you study and pay attention you will pass. Take her!
I had this professor for Lab and Lecture and let me tell you, never again. No study guides or reviews. She expects all the material to be read and understood before you go to class and makes you feel stupid when asking questions. If it wasn't for ANOTHER professors study guide and my awesome classmates, I probably would've failed this class.
She is definitely the best teacher Ive ever had. She really knows about the subject and makes you like chemistry too.
I had her for CHEM 1025, I did not like the way she explain the topics, she would make easy exercises way too hard. She was my first Chem teacher at MDC, but I will never take classes with her. No extra credits, not very helpful when grading exams. I am very disappointed on this course. Could've done better if I had another teacher.
She is an amazing teacher, it's a very hard subject if you don't attend the class you won't pass. Light homework, study a lot! Four exams, one final.
Over all decent professor, although she does move through problems way too fast most of the time. The most frustrating thing about the course are the pop quizzes during class that severly bring down your grade
The class is based heavily on the terrible textbook written by an MDC professor. The study guides we are given are just questions from the textbook that are unnecessarily confusing. Will give an easy question extra steps and word it confusingly. Her lectures aren' the best and a lot of times the review questions are way harder than what she teaches
Never again. If u don't go u'll lose tremendous amount of points(pop quizzes & points for attendance). Tests involves a ridiculous amount of calculations that it's near to impossible to finish on time (25 qn in 50 min, 2 min/qn). Practice tests not related to the exam & problems are complicated for no reason, the way they are written is confusing.
Professor Wald is a great teacher. She explains things very clearly and takes her time until everyone understands. She is very organized with her work and that makes following along easy. During a full semester there will be 4 tests, including a final cumulative. There will also be required homework and in-class quizzes. Totally worth taking.
Lets just say that I took this class once. The first time I was on top with an A (with a different professor) & with her i am struggling to stay at a C. Dont waste your time she takes off points for everything.
This professor is the toughest professor Ive ever had, her lectures are extremely quick and unorganized, she makes everything harder than it should be, super fast pop quizzes that seriously effect your grade right after teaching a topic or section, went to her multiple times for help, nothing, i had to rely on youtube to pass the class, beware....
Doesn't even test you on what she says she will test you on. An extremely harsh grader and will deduct points for anything. Quizzes are only 15 questions so losing points can really hurt your grade regardless of how you are doing in lecture. I high recommend taking someone else.
Incredibly inconsiderate during the coronavirus pandemic expecting students to learn complicated material through a powerpoint, made exams twice as difficult from online respondus bowser when we never agreed to online classes, never had a zoom meeting or replied to e-mails, expected us to learn through her unclear power points in world pandemic.
Rude. Does not help with student concerns, her lectures are unclear and gives pop quizes after every lecture which she barely goes over. DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS she is disrespectful, rolls her eyes when students ask questions and over all complicates the class more than it should be.
While she's average at best when it comes to IN PERSON LECTURES she makes everything more complicated than it needs to be. She is very rude and gives you attitude when you ask for her help and then re explains everything the exact same way and then gets annoyed if you're still confused. Her test are overly complicated and you dont get enough time
Terrible professor. We had to switch to online learning due to coronavirus and she has made it impossible to pass her class. Gave us horrible power points to learn HARD material from where she barely explains herself, gave us a 40 question timed test, twice the questions as usual and unable to go back on questions. Test material was nothing like PP
DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS, Flavia is the most inconsiderate person imaginable during the coronavirus pandemic she has the audacity to change the format of the online tests (which happen to be the last two grades) to make IT HARDER for us, while only giving us confusing powerpoints and PATHETIC voice overs, and not conducting a SINGLE zoom call
This professor is literally so inconsiderate, especially during the pandemic, we received a 40 question test (double the amount of a normal test) for 90 minutes, all with calculations. Literally ran out of time and got an F, she basically made us learn extremely hard material on our own, and did not give any lectures to help us. Test inaccurate too
Horrible professor We had to turn to online learning bc of the coronavirus and she has made it impossible to pass her class, Her power points are horrible to learn the material, which she barely explains well, gave us a 40 question timed test, double the questions and unable to go back on them, we had to rush, Test material was nothing like power.P
By far the worst professor Ive ever had a class with.
Made passing her class during the epidemic impossible. I had a 89% prior to the start of the pandemic and am now at a 68%. Doubled the amount of questions on the online exams and made them only 90 minutes. Good professor in a regular class setting but really does not care about students in a time like this.
During this pandemic my grade has dropped significantly as she has mercilessly increased the difficulty of her tests without any proper reason and consideration to our situations. However previously to the pandemic she was a mediocre and below average teacher.
She is a very inconsiderate teacher, during classes and even the pandemic where many people only understand when they explain to us. She does tests of 45-50 questions in 90 minutes of 12 chapters and you have to solve question by question using the calculator. It seems that she was dedicated to the students not passing the class, even if you study
Studied all semester before remote learning 4-5 hours a day had an A, pandemic starts and now Im at a D, this teach has been super inconsiderate with her students, not providing lectures, giving us reviews that dont help for the test, giving us a badly made PowerPoint to study on our own, making test 40-50 questions for 90 min... time to retake
Worst Professor ever!!!! Do not take her!!! My grade went from a B to a D ever since we switched to virtual learning. She has no consideration for her students and she does not help. During this pandemic, her lectures were not helpful and she would send every 6 days a test and no time for studying.
Horrible professor, always gotten As on all my classes and this class was incredibly hard to pass, not once did she do a live video meeting with us, just bad powerpoints with voice overs that didnt help at all, increased difficulty of tests, # of questions and the time was horrendous, yes she curved test 4 cause she knew what she did wrong...
I tookCHM1025 with her and I did not like her class, she gives you pop quizzes in the middle of the lecture, SO YOU NEED TO STAY FOCUS!also her tests are really hard but the good thing is that the study guides are way harder so when you take the exam it seems easy. You have5 exams during the semester and the last one replaces your lowest grade
She is nice but the remote learning experience for this professor was terrible she decided to turn up the game by increasing the number of questions and only leaving students with 4 days to study for exams.
Chemistry is not an easy subject, and studying will always be involved. Her lectures were very clear and concise, exactly what was on the exams. The homework questions she would assign were the same format on the exams which helped with studying. Don't worry about the random pop quizzes, if you pay attention you will easily get it right.
The best professor I had. She help students learn. When she starts the lab she will go over it with you, she will write simple step procedures in the board, and explain to you what should be done and what to avoid. She is always available and really cares about students. I will definitely recommend if labs make you insecure.
She does her best to make sure you've learned the material; chem is typically hard. After each topic she is open to discussion/questions. She may come off as stern but just wants to be there to help you out. Beware that the 4 tests in the course were terrifying even if you know the material due to the fact the setup to prevent cheating is strict.
She doesn't really teach you. She gives you another professor's power point and adds a pre-recorded video of her talking over it. Looks like she uses that for every semester. She said questions on our "Test reviews" may have wrong answers so just ask her about it. Why would she release wrong answers on reviews made for us to learn? What the..
Too many errors in the powerpoints... that is not the way to teach. That only confuses us.
She is very sweet and helpful!
Best chemistry professor at mdc.
Kind lady :)
she's awesome! lets you work at your pace and is ALWAYS available to help :)
Terrible professor, took her class online she doesnt really teach you anything she just thros out the information in the lectures and makes you put it together pre recorder powere points which doesnt help either she just reads whats on the slide and moves on, half the material in the class you have to learn by yourself, I do not recoment her class
If you want to fail, this is the class for you! If you want to pass, skip this teacher. Youll email her about incorrect notes or how you need help with assignments, leaves you unanswered. Gives 0s on assignments before its due instead of emailing you to fix it before due date. Worst personality. Run!
Cons: Respondus Lockdown Browser for tests, she didn't lecture she only did QAs, Her study guides had incorrect info and she knows it. Pros: She's very accessible via email & office hours, she would try to be flexible with certain things even if she did catch an attitude with you, you don't need the work book you can dl the book online on libgen
By far the worst professor I have taken, very rude and unprofessional and purposely fails students.
She just goes a little too quick for me. I don't think I would have been able to take her in person because I always have to rewind the lecture a few times.
In my 2 years at MDC worst professor ever. I don't even care if she has accent, if you ask something at the end of the class, she just answer go to the video and see it again. no extra credit, everyday its something new, camera on for every single test and doesn't do any review, none of the question in the exam are similar to de example in the class
Flavia Wald is a last resort teacher. She makes Chem a boring Slog, and makes you memorize TONS of stuff. Tests are almost your whole grade, and she disables going to previous questions online. If you're a bad test taker, SKIP THIS PROFESSOR. She makes it so a 65% is passing, instead of just teaching better. Do not recommend, stay away.
Took her for chem 1025 durning the pandemic. She really only grades her exams and will not give any room for helping with your grade. She barely teaches and you cant review your work on the online exams so I failed by a 3 points in her class and she didnt want to even let me do work to boost my grade. Take anyone but her
Professor goes too fast and it's annoying because she gets annoyed when you ask her things or to repeat. She also takes long to reaping to emails & IF she responds. Only enroll in this class if it's a last resort.
Worst professor at Miami Dade, If I could give her 0 starts I would, save yourself the trouble, this lady is truly something else.
She does not record, she does not give us the opportunity to see the questions again and she teaches as if it were reviewing the multiplication tables to some kindergarten children, when what it does is teach complex formulas and concepts, in class she does not explain deeply, but that we ourselves have to see the entire content in the documents
she is one of the best teachers i have had at mdc. Chemistry is not an easy class, we need to study a lot but she is great at explaining. She makes her classes practical, and in these difficult times with classes from home she makes a great effort to keep us from moving forward.
I definitely wouldnt take Professor Wald again. Although she puts in effort to teach shes very fast and messy with it. Not very easy to follow along. The tests are very very hard and you have to download an external tool to take the test which was very hard to use.
She explains everything well, but very fast paced. She complains about little participation, but sounds annoyed when asked questions. She is not understanding when it comes to mistakes and changing grades so be sure to submit everything perfectly.
DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS, I am not one of the brightest students but I did studied for her exams most of what she said to study never came out. Grades are based on 4 exams and a final that are PROCTORED. No homework to help you out with the bad grades and she goes too fast on her lectures.
This professor in one word was RIDICULOUS. Never have I met a professor that would yell and complain when study would ask for help/assistance on work. She will get angry and say well you shouldve been listening when I first explained. How would they know if she goes through her lectures super fast and her class is about 2 hours and 3 minutes..
Professor is an great teacher. Honestly she explains everythings, but the only problems she has she expects you to learn quick. I dont know about all these bad reviews, but she is a great professor in my opinion
Flavia tried to be nice with the class but with the class work and notes it was very difficult. In the beginning of the class notes were easy to understand. Then it got harder and doesn't know now to explain well and tested the class and said while taking the notes to not worry about it, then tested on what we didnt pay attention to.
Her bad reviews are not fair. I believe student's get frustrated with chemistry, but it's not her fault. She really is a great professor, she keeps the class engaged, she is very nice and respectful and she has a great way of explaining complex topics. You can tell that she likes her job. She has been a great professor and I enjoyed her class.
Worst. Lab. Professor. Possible. completely crazy. All her evaluations are recorded and she MAKES you show YOUR HANDS AND DESK while in tests even if you have to half close your computer to do it. She makes everything as hard as possible, takes points off attendance at random, and gives no extra credit or oportunities. DONT TAKE HER, SHE SUCKS
All I can tell you is dont take her if you depend on reviews to do good on test , she doesnt give you reviews, the tests are though , she is rude , explained one whole module in one class . Please do not take her
I took professor wald for CHM1025 as well as CHM1045L. All I can say is that she is a great teacher. She is clear with her explanations and is very helpful throughout the course. During the labs, she was very helpful.
Professor Wald definitely does not deserve all the negative reviews. I do believe her class was challenging in the sense that the reviews did not help for the tests but her class lectures went into detail and the homework was very helpful. She is very patient and explains herself until we get it. She also makes many jokes, making chem less painful.
Shes a great professor teaching a hard subject. She knows how to teach the material and she always answers peoples questions. Her tests are very difficult imo but if you study a lot (I mean ALOT) you will pass. I basically only passed one test and somehow passed the class
She is the worst professor ever do not take her . You are going to regret
Professor Wald was my first chem teacher at MDC Kendall. Her ratings scared me in the summer but she turned out to be amazing! Her exams are not hard if you pay attention and do your homework. She is super nice and respectful
I took Professor Wald my first year at MDC. The course was offered blended but I took it mostly online. Personally, I feel like I learned a lot in her class. She had PowerPoints prepared with clips of her explaining the topics and she gave us practice questions to do in class which I believe was very helpful.
Incredible professor. CHM1033 is not an easy class, but she lectures in a way that makes it seem easy. She's caring and friendly. She will spend as long as needed for you to understand a concept. She is very knowledgeable and helpful. The course is exam heavy, she only has four exams and a quiz per chapter. If you don't study, you will fail.
Incredible professor. CHM1033 is a hard course but Wald teaches it in a way that makes it seem easy. She's very caring and helpful. She will answer any question you throw at her. She does not assign any homework there are only four exams and a quiz per chapter. If you don't study for the exams, you will fail.
Great experience. Classes are clear and not boring at all
This class did massive damage to my gpa and has set me back an entire semester. Your grade relies heavily on tests that are too hard to pass, and while ALOT of homework is assigned, it basically does nothing to improve your grade. The same could be said about all other classes, according to students I have spoken to from this campus.
DON'T TAKE HER! She's the worst and doesn't care at all about your grade ask her a question she'll repeat herself from her lecture class. Her homework won't even help your grade and her study guide are useless. Please don't take her it will ruin your gpa.
You can tell that she knows a lot and likes chemistry. She is clear with the classes and always willing to explain any questions. Their tests are tricky but not impossible (they are all multiple choice too). You need to be attentive, nothing more. It also gives the possibility of extra credit. I highly recommend it
Amazinggg Dr. Wald is super considerate as a person and her lectures are great, she lets you ask questions. The course is hard, just make sure to study (i recommend getting the textbook, the study guide doesn't really doesn't help) but she gives you tips. it's just up to you to do the work
Great instructor, lectures are never boring and she explains hard subjects in a way that makes them seem easy! The class is hard, but she answers every question and will walk you through it step by step. :)
I wouldn't recommend this class to anyone who hasn't taken chemistry before. Her teaching method includes reading off of a powerpoint, doing the easiest examples on the board, and giving questions & hw on Tophat. Her exams are ten times more difficult than her hw's and lectures. I usually don't write reviews but I felt it was a must for this class.
Your grade is based only on 4 test, she does not give extra credit, hw, quizzes or anything not even study guides. Very rude and sarcastic if you ask questions during class or office hours. She will only explain the simple problems and would give you the hard ones on the test.
When her hours don't align with yours, she tells you that it isnt her problem and you must adjust your hours to fit. She teaches off powerpoints and gives herself easy examples and the day of the test half the material wasn't taught in class. This is a course that requires you to teach yourself, if you have never taken chemistry, do NOT take her!!
My lab experience with Professor Wald was great! I loved every experiment we did, the class is very interactive and fun. We had a total of 3 exams, not multiple choice just like any lab. And a quiz for each experiment. As long as you study, you will pass this class. She is very helpful in helping you understand the material. Highly recommend!!!
Professor Wald is a very nice teacher. She tries to make the lectures fun and easy to understand. She is even helpful if you have questions so don't be afraid to ask. Chemistry is a difficult subject so I do recommend asking questions every now and then. It's alot of homework, but the homework follow her lecture and she does give you credit for it.
Solid professor, you'll get the most out of her if you go to office hours. Lectures can be unclear, though. There are pop quizzes during said lectures, so be careful.
Professor wald was amazing, I had to retake this class because gil was horrible. Wald made lectures so easy and shes super nice. There are NO pop quiz she does practice questions during lectures that really help & are worth 1 point, and half a point if your wrong. Hw's are 1 question each lesson. The tests are cake, study. Some memorization needed
She is amazing!!!
I've only had 2 chemistry teachers and I took her twice (intro chem and chem 1) she cracks jokes has a bit of an accent but doesn't give hw a lot of the things that are on tests she did as example in class she's not amazingly kind but she's kind enough she also has extra credit avaliable
Professor Wald was a great Professor for my 2nd half of gen chem lab, she explains the material in a very digestible way and is always willing to help explain things you might be confused about during labs. Her tests were exactly from the lab and exercise questions so just be sure to study as tests are definitely weighed heavily.
I took professor Wald for CHM1045L and she was amazing. Always willing to help you during the laboratory and during her office hours. The class does require a book, and there are lab reports to turn in as well. You must study from the study sheets, and lab reports for the exams.
A lot of reviews are negative towards professor Wald and let me say this , chemistry is NOT an easy subject no matter who your professor is Chemistry requires A-LOT of studying I witness first hand my classmates did not study and failed the class but blame it on professor wald she explains everything clearly and is an awesome professor I recommend
Chemistry is NOT an easy subject. Somehow, the content for all fifteen chapters was not that bad. You have to review the material daily to familiarize yourself for the exams. The professor is nice, but very fast paced. Beware that there are 4 exams worth 90%. STUDY!!!
Wald was nice but the class was not. Very hard subject and graded heavily by exams. If you take her, make sure to get the most credit possible in your lab notebooks and reports.
Very good professor. Clear lectures. Helpful attitude, lots of helpful resources she provided online for her class. Difficult tests.
If you already hard time understanding chemistry, please do not bother picking this professor. Of course, chemistry is a difficult subject, however, professor wald makes you dread walking into this class every week. Extremely picky and marks points off for tiny things(which we asked these specific details before turning in and she APPROVED)+commt#2
"Dr. Wald is a knowledgeable professor, but her exams are too difficult. Most of the class is unable to pass them due to the short period of time provided to complete the tough exam, which is worth 90%!!!! of the grade. The exams are also quite tricky, making it even harder to complete them within the given time."
she had this thing called tophat where in class there was a q on the screen and u had to select the answer on ur phone- it counted towards ur grade grade split between attendance, 4 tests and final, tophat, and hw final replaced lowest shes not the best at teaching but if u go to class n pay attention n stuff ull get it- chem is just hard bruh
Professor Wald is very knowledgeable, she explains everything very easy to understand and the lab work is easy to follow. The tests were not easy but you have everything you need to pass the class.
The course was easy as long as you pay attention and study. It's graded mainly by 4 tests and a final that is a grade and can also replace your lowest test grade. Her tests are multiple choice and as long as you study 2 or 3 days before hand you'll pass. She uses TopHat which is helpful but also makes attendance very tedious as you need a code.
Awful teacher, goes extremely fast in lectures, and actively makes you feel bad for asking questions. I along with some other students would ask questions and she would say things such as, "we learned this in module X" , "I just said x y z" Horrible time management I was supposed to have 4 tests and a final, but we only had 3 due to a time crunch.
Take her for both lecture and lab if you don't want to struggle as she doesn't have time to go over the content during the lab. Only thing is that the 3 tests are 70% of ur grade all together so you HAVE to pass them but it's doable if you study. All test are open answer and on paper (no multiple choice). Tough teacher but good nonetheless
Dr.Wald is so clearly a wise professor. Unfortunately, the PowerPoints she uses during her lecture have examples that have nothing to do with her exams. Exams are difficult since she picks tricky question. Her lectures are fast paced and have pop quizzes in between.
There are several laboratories that count 30 points each, the notebook that cost 5 points each experiment. We have 3 exams that are worth 100 points each. The truth is, if you don't have the time to study I don't recommend her. The exams are super difficult, nothing to do with the lab. If you have a better professor don't take her.
Chemistry is hard nonetheless, but this professor makes it way more difficult. Exams are super tough and worded very weird. She doesn't care to help regarding your grade at all. She wont care to give any extra points, extra credit, round, or even bump your grade the slightest. She has very snarky comments as well.
Flavia Wald is an exceptional educator who made learning chemistry an enjoyable experience. Her unique teaching style, combined with her humor instilled in me the confidence to excel in the subject.I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to learn from her.I highly recommend Wald to any student seeking to achieve the best results in chemistry.
She lectures and reads off a PowerPoint. Her exams do not always correlate to what she teaches as she does not write them. She gives extra credit for quizzes and PLTL, but if you're near failing, it won't help you. She is approachable, but when answering questions, she does not always give a direct answer.
Professor Wald's class can be challenging, but she's a knowledgeable teacher. The exams are tough, but her lectures and practice questions are helpful. I found Unstuck study AI to be a great study tool alongside the textbook. Overall, it's a manageable class if you stay engaged.
She's amazing, I do her homework a day before the test since they're kind of like a review, she also provides so many resources for you in Canvas to study. She also lectures amazing. People who failed her don't study clearly because she's easy and her all tests are multiple choice so what more can you ask for? Always there when you need help too.
I don't have any complaints about Professor Wald. She recorded the lessons, explained carefully every module and truly tried to connect with the students. The class might be challenging, especially for those who are taking chemistry for the first time.
This class is pretty difficult. She's a good teacher but it's hard to pass. Attendance is mandatory and will affect your grade and there is homework with multiple weeks to complete. However her test are multiple choice and still pretty hard to pass. I would say if you're not willing to study plenty of days before the test, don't take her class.
This professor made this class horrible. If you are considering taking this class be aware, she will not help you out. Be prepared to know that if you are on the verge of failing, you will not find any understanding from her. This is a hard class, but a professor without compassion is what makes it harder.
Chemistry is a difficult class. This class is passable only if you put in days of studying. However, know that if you ask this professor for extra credit or anything else to help your grade no matter how close you are to the grade you need, she does not care. I would not recommend this professor she could be more caring and compassionate.
Do not take the class if you expect to pass without studying. From my conversations with classmates, most just do not like the fact that you need to study, and it's disheartening seeing their bad ratings written on this website. Her lec
Honestly she's not that bad & her class isn't the most difficult thing in the world (if u actually study). The only warnings I can give are that her tests are worth the majority of ur grade, attendance is mandatory, & she gives live questions thru TopHat (these live questions are basically worth nothing for ur grade btw).
Our final grade mainly consisted of 3 non-cumulative chapter test and a final cumulative exam that would stand as its own grade and also replace your lowest exam grade (provided it was a higher grade obviously). She's a bit boring in her lectures as she pretty much just teaches off power point slides but she's thorough, structured, and communicates
Flavia Wald is an amazing professor. She is organized, straightforward and she tries to make sure all her students finish the class with good grades. Very recommended.
Top hat assignments due the night before every test, a little tough if you let it pile up last minute but the notes you take in class are very useful along with the textbook on tophat. She goes a little fast but asking questions in class and/or visiting her office hours work well.
I took chem1025 with her in a summer semester, she was not a bad professor but her lectures are boring. The exams are really hard and two days before the final exam she made us learn a whole module while remembering what we learn throughout the semester. I almost failed her class but thankfully the final exam replaced my lowest grade.
Wasnt easy to understand and had to teach myself the course work at home with a textbook.
Decent professor, but she doesn't make her own tests herself and will sometimes not answer your questions
SHE IS AMAZING, TAKE HER. She cares about you and wants you to learn. I took her Fall 24 and her grading was: 85% test, 5% live questions and 10% homework through tophat (2attempts per question) AMAZING.
The class content was hard, but she was a good teacher and taught the content the best way she could. She was super nice and understanding and would answer all your class questions.
She is impossible. Her accent only makes it worse. The entire class relies on four tests, and there's 0 help or support along the way. No study guides, no review, and the homework doesn't help at all. It felt like going into every test blindfolded. Just save yourself the trouble. Her class isn't worth the time, stress, or frustration. it's a waste.
I struggle a lot with chemistry, and science in general... But I think that she is one of the best chemistry teachers I've had. She explains everything clearly, and if you study with the textbook a little bit and take good notes, then you can definitely get through the class with a B. No extra credit, but the HW and class questions boost your grade
Awesome teacher
Has a thick accent but explains things well and tries to help students in class and during office hours. Unfortunately this class is very reliant on studying and I made the mistake of studying less than I needed to and failed the course. The grade is incredibly reliant on tests and the hw and class questions dont really influence the overall grade.
Professor Wald is a very good professor. She genuinely tries her best for everyone to understand the material. Only criticism is that she falls behind on test schedules because she tries to answer every question, even for those who do not pay attention.
I don't know why Wald has so many bad ratings. She's a great teacher who answers any questions you may have in order to help you understand the material better. she's not intimidating to interact with. there is a thick accent, but it's understandable. Chemistry is a class that requires studying to pass; put in the effort and you will do well.
Prof. Wald's tests are super straightforward—no tricks. Watch Melissa Maribel on YouTube after lectures, do lots of practice questions, and review concepts an hour a day. If you stay consistent, you will get an A. Made chem actually fun for me after not taking school seriously in high school.
She is an AMAZING professor, people who are saying the opposite simply don't study enough. Her tests are very straightforward, same same problems that she teaches on lectures. I took her for CHM1025 and I'm currently taking her for CHM1045 and I find her way of teaching very clear. . People be procrastinating and blaming on the teacher.
This professor is okay. I wouldn't recommend her if you are not good at chemistry though because she is hard to understand due to her accent and goes very fast. The grading scale helps you succeed though so your lowest test score can be dropped. There was an extra credit opportunity as well. It was difficult to find her outside of class time.
She is very king and genuinely cares about your grade and her students. The class is hard yes but the subject is also hard she is a huge advocate on going and asking for extra help and she makes the lab fun too! Anyone who says other wise genuinely didn't put effort in the class
Wald is SUPER NICE, super funny. she is not a bad professor, if you ask her she is going to answer. its just that chemistry is confusing, but her way to teach is amazing and super funny. STUDY! thats it. but as a professor she is really nice
Wald is a great teacher and wants you to succeed. Just put in lots of time studying outside of class and you'll do fine. She moves very fast during class time but can clear up confusion if you just ask a question. Will be taking her again for CHM1045, she knows her stuff very well.
