It helps a lot reading before the class. Tests you on both in-class and book info. Has you do in-class situations in sociology. Can be a bit diff. because some questions can be based in real life. Stays on schedule so you must look online for dates/assignments. She really loves teaching the class. I do recommend her. Very friendly and fun class.
She was very nice and kept us all thinking. I really enjoyed the class. I would definitely take another class she was teaching.
She's a sweet lady, and obviously has a genuine love of the subject. She is rather flaky, though. She gets off topic often, loses track of where we left off last lecture, etc. Tends to let people interrupt class. Pay attention to updates in Angel, she communicates with the class often that way. Also take advantage of study guides she provides.
Lectures are long and all over the place you will get bored FAST! Tests are difficult; practice test and study guide provided, although still had trouble while spending hours studying both. Very lenient on late work and helping you raise your grade even if the semester is already over! can be easy if you work with her she will work with you.
She is a great teacher. She's been in the sociology field for many years, and you can tell when taking her class because she is very knowledgeable and gives personal insight into the topics discussed, rather than just strictly teaching the book. An easy class if you show up and do the work.
Extremely nice professor. Wants you to succeed, and is very helpful. All I can say about the material, is try your best .... And READ the book chapters, before the test.
By far one of the nicest professors I've had. She is incredibly lenient on grading and late work. The course work isn't difficult, nor are the exams(four papers, four exams), but I'd advise using the study guides and practice tests. I'd definitely take a class of hers again.
you should take her class, its very fun and interactive. the same way it utilizes angel alot. class is fun and making the projects is very easy too, just focus on the quizzes
shes one of the nicest professors ive ever had. her tests are pretty easy if you study &use the study guides. not a hard class :]
Mrs. Woratschek, was the best teacher that I had this semester. She made the class interesting with all the videos she showed. I would strongly recommend her class as a must take.
she is an awesome teacher. She is always helpful and always encourages class discussions. Gives lots of extra credit. great and easy class. Just participate and you will get an A.
Great instructor
I found that because of Ms. Woratschek I really enjoyed my Sociology Class
I really enjoyed this class, she is fun and very helpful. she will work with you in every way possible, if you take this class you cant fail .the interaction she has with the students is awesome. GREAT PROFESSOR.
Great Professor. Learned a lot, very helpful and understanding. Great Lectures and if class is cool, it just makes her funner.
I took her class and absolutely loved it! She is great! My class was also fun that made it better!!
I was put on a new exciting course to further my education and thirst for knowledge through the instruction from Prof.Woratschek.I am happy after 25 years out of school, I had the pleasure and honor to be in her class and learn from a true scholar!!
Professor Woratschek teaches a great class. It is very interactive and even fun at times. She is a very passionate professor and has a lot to offer students with her many years of teaching experience. The course is not an easy ride though. It requires students to push themselves, which only benefits them in the long run. Thumbs up to her!
There is 1 research paper, 2 article reviews, 1 presentation, all on same subject of your choosing. did them night before & got perf scores..she is lenient grader. this is more of a hybrid course, lots of online quizzes and things available online. not a horrible teacher, but not my fav either.Notes can be sorta dry, & make sure you read for test!
Great teacher. She explains difficult concepts well.
She is a very passionate teacher and does a wonderful job simplifying complex terms. One of the best parts about her class is the opportunities for extra credit are practically endless.
She's a very lovely teacher; very passionate about Sociology. The exams and assignments aren't too hard, and her lectures are fun to listen to. The only issue I had with her was that she lets students interrupt so much. Otherwise, I would definitely recommend her.
GREAT CLASS GREAT TEACHER VERY CURVE FRIENDLY GRADE RECCOMND IT THIS TEACHER HIGHLY!
Chapter quizzes online, in l class midterm + final and 1 project. Class is high in discussion and many times we didnt get to the actual material, but the Powerpoints are online! She is super lenient and willing to work with you if you have any issues. I enjoyed her class, but I would keep up with the syllabus so you don't fall behind for the tests!
You can tell she knows what she is talking about. She has plenty of examples to make sure you understand the concepts. Easy to talk to and ask for help. Most of her grades come from chapter quizzes, 3 exams, and one presentation project. None of which are too difficult.
Very easy teacher. Just make sure you do your work and participate for an easy A. Lectures can be sometimes dry but she tries to engage students into the lectures which makes class a little more entertaining. Other than that very pleased with the class.
Recommend to take her class !she is very good professor ,you going to have one easy article review , one 5 min class presentation 3 in class exams and 13 online open book quizzes at home .
Love her!! Would take her again. As long as your there and listening you will easily pass with an A. The quizzes are super easy and gives you extra credit material!! One project but she guides you through it!!
Mrs. Woratschek is by far the best professor I have had at CSN. If you miss class, she is very understanding. As long as you participate, whether it's in class or through the online campus, you'll easily pass the class. Assignments: 1 Scholarly Review Article and 1 Class Presentation along with a few online Chapter Quizzes. Only 3 exams as well.
Mrs. Woratschek was a nice professor. There is a review article and a five minute presentation. There are about 12 to 13 online quizzes online. Only 3 exams. I really enjoyed her class even though it was long lectures.
Great Professor. Just keep up with the your reading . The online quizzes are based on the reading , so you have read. The test are really easy and the quizzes. You have an article review and a presentation . Overall is her class is super easy.
She was a fantastic teacher. She had good lectures and always showed interest in helping her students. STUDY THE BOOK I found more help from the book to pass quizzes and exams. I ditched class most of the time but as long as u go most of the time and study bots and book your an easy A.
Took this class in response to the good reviews. All I can say is bring a pillow . She consistently keeps class late (Usually 2-4 minutes) and gets extremely boring. The class is super easy and is an easy grader. You will be tapping your pencil, scribbling in your empty notebook, and wishing you were home, but it's all worth the easy A.
1 article review essay and 1 presentation on article review topic. 3 exams, she usually goes over the exam right before taking it so she gives us a lot of the answers. All the online quiz answers can be found on quizlet. Easy, minimal work course. DONT NEED TEXTBOOK. Exams are based on lecture, all the notes are on canvas. Don't waste your money!
My biggest issue with this class is that I felt I had to learn everything myself, because she goes way off topic during lecture rather than giving the basic information that I need in a 101 class. I also had this as a 3 hour class, so the day just dragged. I wish I took a different professor. Although, she grades easily and doesn't assign much work.
Mrs. Woratschek is one of the kindest souls I have ever come across and is what every sociologist should be like. She's quirky and passionate about her subject! She's also very understanding with late work, which was a blessing for me. 4 opinion papers, 4 projects, lots of extra credit opportunities! I would take her again for sure. :)
It is a bit easy, but the quality of it is great. She makes the class flexible as well as dish out multiple concepts in a way that's easy to understand. Plus she'll proof-read your paper before you turn it in, how great is that? She's super kind, goes over the test before class, gives you study guides, and an easy way to find all the info for it
This class is pretty easy. You have quizzes on every chapter which is about 12. Sounds like a lot I guess but they're online, they're 10 questions each, and on top of that, you could retake them!! There are 3 exams but just like any other exam, you should study for it. This class was overall great and the professor is very helpful and kind.
this was an awesome class. the only thing i dreaded was a presentation i had to do, so if you're cool w that then its all good. 3 exams in class. all online quizzes get 3 tries. 1 journal article review, 1 term paper (term paper+presentation are done together). she has an awesome hippie vibe, and most of the class exercises were fun
She's a pretty good instructor, lectures are long and boring but everything you need to know she lays out for you perfectly. There are 3 exams, thats the only little difficult thing about this class.. I would usually get 70% averages on the quizzes. I still ended the class with an A. Great class. Learned a lot
Great teacher. Really knows her stuff. She's very understanding and great to have discussions with. She gives you plenty to study. She also reviews tests with the entire class before giving them so you are sure to pass. Only used my book to study and she gives you all the information online anyway.
She is a very passionate and loves to tell personal stories that would relate to the topic but I suggest taking her class twice a week instead of one. She does assign a research project that is essential to passing. She also has 3 major tests and online quizzes for the ch. in the book. Willing to help you and will respond quickly if you email her.
Really cool lady and really cool class. I would take again. Found book on amazon $5. Tests are a little difficult, study hard. Presentation is easy. She gives extra credit. You will pass.
one of the best , helpful, and respectful professor that i have had during 3 years. i recommend any student to take sociology with this professor. i am quite satisfied with her class, and if you want to get good grade she is the very person.
Professor Woratschek is amazing. I did not understand Sociology at first and just took it for credit. However, throughout many lectures and online quizzes, I believe that this subject is interesting. If you are looking for an inspirational professor and easy to get good grades, I strongly recommend her.
Prof. Woratschek is a very nice lady who definitely wants to teach you. However, she is a bit scattered in her lectures, but makes up for it with her light grading. All quizzes and tests are online so... you can imagine the level of difficulty. There is one essay and presentation which is not very difficult. Pleasant class. :)
She is the nicest professor Ive ever had. She cares so much about her students and builds a relationship with them. She gives you her personal number in case you need to contact her at any time. She is so funny, and all the exams and quizzes are online. There is one big research paper & presentation but she grades very easy. AMAZING PROFESSOR!!!
Her class was fun, and interesting. She made it seen real easy and the work was pretty easy.
Her lectures are long, and that's pretty much the whole class but they usually go a little more in depth than the quizzes (which are online) and textbook so I did need the book for the quizzes pretty frequently. There's one major project due at the end of the semester but it's super easy: essay and presentation. And it's on a subject you choose!
I approached this class as an online course and a lecture class. Do the reading and take the online quiz every week or so. Attend lecture. Lots of chances for extra credit. Be sure to keep up on the quizzes. Lots of discussion in class. One research paper, with a PowerPoint presentation in class. The earlier the better.
Prof. Woratschek is a great professor. Her lectures are long, and go over more than needed for the quizzes and exams. She gives a lot of extra credit. Her class is easy and you learn a lot. The toughest part of her class is the research paper and thats easy. I would take her class again if I had the chance. I recommend her to any student.
Sociology class was lecture heavy. Presentation at the end of the semester was not intimidating at all. She does make it very welcoming in her class. Exams and quizzes are open book.
She is a little scatterbrained and goes off topic a lot but it was amuzing. I found that i had to do a lot of review for the tests myself because we were behind thanks to her tendency to get sidetracked. All the quizzes and exams are online and open book. You get 3 chances to take the quizzes so you shouldnt have any problem getting 100%.
All quizzes and exams were posted online on day one, which was convenient. Lots of extra credit. Attendance was a must. Lecture could be a bit dull. She started out going over the material for the exams at the beginning, but by the end we hadn't even touched the final exam material. Irrelative films were watched instead of lessons.
I took this class last summer 50% of the grade was quizzes and attendance the other 50% was a presentation. The quizzes are easy because you have three tries to get a 100%. The presentation can be anything you want as long as it relates to people interacting with others somehow. The professor is caring. Easy class, however you will not learn much.
Professor Woratschek is a rare instructor. She helped me understand sociology in a way no one else could. She helped connect ideas for me and help make sense of it and applied it to other scenarios. She does do lectures. Make sure to read your books and attend class. Respect her. She is a professor that many dont receive.
Pr. Woratschek is amazing. She made class fun by telling fun stories and showing interesting videos that were related to our discussions. Show up to class and take notes, you'll need them. She gives short quizzes on every chapter, & gives amazing feedback. I messaged her at midnight and she replied right away and was a huge help. She's very caring
Flora is the most loveable, kind caring, and funny too. For all the future students please take her class because this class is so much fun and fair too. Also the most important, she's care about the students, she give you time to help on the assignment, and you can talk her like a friend.
Pr. Woratschek is an amazing teacher. Very understanding that students have a life outside of the classroom and works with students. She is very liberal with extra credit, but quizzes and exams are not overly complicated. She was only late (5 minutes)one time, and sent an announcement. She is very fair in grades. Wonderful teacher. Very relatable!!
Easy class. Take the quizzes and exams (all online) and that is it. There is one final project at the end of the semester. In class she just goes over the chapters in the book. You don't need to show up. Lots of discussions and documentaries
As someone who is going back to college after eight years, I was intimidated. Flora Woratschek is a verily lively teacher who makes things relatable. She uses several in class labs to get points across. She is very quick to respond to text and emails. She shows videos on topics so students can see several viewpoints. Highly recommended
Passes around a sign-in sheet for attendance. Since she posts everything you need online, you could honestly get someone to sign you in everyday & never need to go to class. Quizzes & exams are online, and are easy. I go to the class everyday because she makes it fun and we had a day where she made us color pictures and used it in sociological way.
Great proffesor, I would definitily take her again. She's humorous and not difficult. Loved her class!
I took this class in the summer so it was a crash course 4 weeks to cover 12 weeks of material and my only complaint is that it had to end! Professor Woratschek is amazing! Truly. She makes learning about sociology fun and easy to understand. There is 1 big project but she helps every step of the way. Videos, notes, discussions! THE BEST class!!!!
She's super nice! Just goes off topic a lot. Quizes are hard so you need to read the book it somewhat helps. She lectures for the full class so it can get boring, so hang in there but she is nice and funny and caring
This professor was really passionate about soc 101. She has better than decent lectures and assigns some homework. Most importantly, she does have many quizzes and they come fast. Make sure you take notes, pay attention and at least skim through the book. Also, the practice tests come in handy. she is a great professor and it's an easy class.
Her lectures go through the entire class period so get ready!! She does make some lectures pretty entertaining so it's not always bad. The quizzes and exams are all online so you know what to do ;)
She is very nice. best Pro
This class was actually SOC 205. Really interesting stuff, you forget that this is a college course while taking it, it was almost like a book you don't want to put down. I strongly recommend this class. I know many classes can have boring or bland stuff but this one did not. Also professor Woratschek is great, very easy flow of all the work.
she's really an amazing professor I've ever have, i take soc 101 from her and she's is an easy/fair grader and very helpful if you have any questions. I highly recommend this class!
Ms. Woratschek is a great teacher. I took her four week summer class in the summer for SOC 101 and it was the best summer class ever. She is caring so dont hesitate to ask her questions. She also makes you learn some interesting stuff about Sociology. Her quizzes and exams are on canvas and are open book. Please take this class
I took this as a summer course and I think I did about a Fall/Spring Semester amount of work. Each week I had 3 whole class discussion, 3 small group discussion, 3 chapter quizzes, and a final module exam. EVERY WEEK... I won't lie she gives a lot of time to do each one. Plus, she doesn't grade on time. If you are ok with this then take her class.
unprepared. You don't use your textbook at all. You do online journal entries and quizzes throughout the semester that are extremely easy. She has really good feedback when emailing her. I wouldn't take her class again. I felt like she was all over the place throughout lectures and assignments
The best! She is so sweet and really cares about her classes. Grading criteria is understandable and easy. Was in person and was switched to online during COVID and the class stayed the same. Would take her again!
Incredibly easy class. There's no way you shouldn't get an A because of all the extra credit she gives. Test and quizzes are extremely easy, you don't even have to study.
Professor Woratschek provides incredible feedback and amazing insight into this field of study. Her assignments and paired videos are especially eye-opening and valuable. The class itself isn't difficult if you dedicate the necessary time and effort and she really provides a safe space for all forms of expression. Would love to have her again!
She is amazing and her class is Incredibly easy class. Test and quizzes are extremely easy, you don't even have to study.
Flora Woratschek is top five of all the professors Ive ever had. More than reasonable with extensions on projects; she understands life comes up and she WANTS her students to succeed. Games and documentaries that really drive the lessons home make class fun. Discussions with the entire class are lively. All tests are online and very easy. Go Flora
I really like her as a professor. She does not give an overwhelming amount of work and she makes sure you have the resources to complete the assignments. I don't like that she had us do a group project while we were online. That made it extremely difficult to complete, so I didn't really see the point. The project was also a big part of our grade
MS. Rudacille was a great teacher. Her work was straightforward to understand. I loved doing the discussion she had the class to do. I like that Ms. Rudacille always responded on time when you sent her a message, and her feedback was always helpful. Thank you, Ms. Rudacille, for having me think outside the box.
TAKE PROFESSOR RUDACILLE! If you put in even just a bit of effort, you'll at least get an A, trust me! She is the kind of professor that genuinely cares for her students and their success. This class is very straight forward, and the only assignment that required more effort than the weekly assignments is a powerpoint project that is very do-able.
Took online. Shes very nice. Watch videos and write a couple paragraphs about them. Weekly discussions. Fairly easy tests. I enjoyed it.
Understandable expectations, responds quickly to any questions you may have, and all around a fun easy going class. I just loved this class! I will forever have a different outlook on the society I live in, and my place in it.
Great instructor! Makes the subject very easy to think of in a way that makes it stick long term. Its not just memorizing and dumping it out at the end of semester. Fun projects and videos. Very understanding about students having lives outside the classroom. Cant sing enough praise for her.
Professor Rudacille is awesome. She is so nice, gives great lectures, and is really good at creating engaging conversations. She really is great. Take her class, you wont regret it! :)
Good person/Professor. Easy assignments/tests, if completed on time = A. Class participations are fun. Do not buy the book, it is available online for free. Downfall- went over the ch. after tests, which is unfortunate because she had great lectures. If all else fails, you can find tutoring help on quizlet. I would highly recommend this class!
This class at CSN was one of the courses that ended up inspiring me to engage in my community, get involved in voter registration causes, and further my studies at UNLV.
This is a 4 week course which is time consuming. The teacher made it easy to understand the material. Discussion participation matters and I recommend studying the vocabulary if you want to get a good grade on quizzes. I will never take a 4 week course again but if I had to, I hope it is with a teacher like her. Online free textbook.
Turn everything on time and you should be fine. The professor made it easy to understand the material. Discussion participation matters and the textbook is free online.
BEST PROFESSOR EVER!!!!! TAKE HER; SHE RESPONDS FAST AND ACTUALLY TEACHES YOU AND WILL ALSO CORRESPOND LATE ASSIGNMENTS IF IT IS AN EMERGENCY. BEST PROFESSOR EVER!!!!
The class is great and I didn't feel overwhelmed at any point
Dr. Rudacille is very understanding of personal matters and will be lenient on assignments as long as you communicate with her. All the quizzes and exams were easy to study for and get through, and you can get a lot of the information for the unit from her lectures alone (though she also provides a textbook online). Very personable!
Professor Rudacille was very understanding when it came to any personal problems that prohibited my work. She was able to make lectures fun and interesting, and leaves the floor open to a lot of student discussions as well. For our class, we had one large cumulative group project that was a pretty easy final, and she is very open to helping you.
Very involved with the work of students! Classroom engagement is there. Teaches at her own pace & demonstrates a great understanding of what is being taught. Taking notes is not necessary, just sit & listen. Presents videos & documentaries related to the assigned day's lecture. Weekly 10-question quizzes & discussion board. I looked 4ward 2 class!
This class is easy but does require some work. There is a lot of weekly reading for the online class. There's a weekly discussion and quiz. 4 exams. Stay on top of the weekly work and it's an easy A. There is a research project at the end of the semester but it is fairly easy.
I loved this professor because she was very understanding and we can make up work. Her class is pretty easy. My favorite part was watching documentaries and she wasn't as strict of the topic you wanted to watch the documentaries about. I would take this class again. I recommend especially if you work because the work isn't too much.
I thought that ANTH 205 was super easy and it was a good class to take. Nothing too crazy for an 8 week class. Only reason I gave a 4 was because my professor didn't respond to my one email trying to reach out to them because I was having an emergency, but I was able to figure it out regardless.
Very understanding and works with students. Wants to see us succeed. On top of allowing late assignments she is very liberal with extra credit; so it is very easy to make up points missed on exams and quizzes which are not overly complicated to begin with.
Hi everyone! I recommend taking professor! Three will be quizzes and assignments and five exams!
Hi everyone! This class has an good lecture! Good luck in everything you do folks!
Hi everyone! I took this class fall of 2023 there will be fifteen quizzes and five exams and discussion board with one classmate reply! And two projects and some extra credit assignments!
I took this professor for Sociology 205 and it was a very easy class. I took the 8 week course for fall 2023. There were 8 quizes, 8 weekly reflections, 1 midterm, 1 final exam, and 1 film analysis. This class great for full-time workers and if you have other classes to focus on. Overall, very easy class and great professor!
Hi everyone! This class have quizzes and discussions boards and exams! I recommend her!
I took this professor fall of 2023 and she follow the syllabus and she posted a study guide for the final exam and there will be discussion boards and two projects including a presentation on canvas! I recommended her! Take her class when is available and amazing person!
I'm a STEM student so taking Rudacille's class took a lot of weight off. Quizlet helped a lot in this class since most of the questions are mostly textbooks. Extra credit was granted very generously, the only thing you have to work for is discussions and a research project! Other than that, an awesome professor who provides an online textbook too!
I took this class fall of 2023! It very interesting class! The assignments are discussion boards and quizzes and tests two attempts!
I took this class fall of 2023 and the assignments was very fun and the quizzes and tests are online.
Nice Professor. Usually one chapter of reading for the week or maybe two. Used openstax textbook which is free online or cheap at the bookstore.
Amazing class and professor! There will be quizzes, tests, final exam, project!
I took this class of fall 2023. I recommend her if you like projects.
Instructor Flora is passionate about teaching, using real-life examples to make the material easy to understand. She's quick to respond to emails and questions. The class includes weekly quizzes, discussion board homework, and five open-book online exams.
This professor runs an engaging SOC101 class with a mix of quizzes, exams, and projects. The workload is manageable, and the textbook is free. unstuck ai was a great help for study prep.
Very easy online class. I was able to focus on my harder classes instead of this one and still get an A. One research project at the end of the semester which is one slideshow, very easy if you prepare a couple days in advance. Quizzes are easy and very clear.
Great professor. Very helpful and understanding. Always available for questions. She cares about her students and for the subject. Defiantly one of the best courses I have taken. I highly recommend Professor Rudacille.
This class is an Easy A! Just show up and do the quizzes (which are easy) and you will do fine!
Professor Rudacille makes this class a breeze!! Saying her class was insanely easy is an understatement because it's quite literally impossible to not get an A. She offers tons of extra credit and will sometimes allow late work for full credit to her discretion. Please take her she's amazing!!!
