I had her for a night class &made it very enjoyable. There are quizzes every week, study and they should help your grade not harm; 3 papers that you have to write, a midterm and final are the only grades. She is a tough grader but she is very helpful and accessible outside of class. Take her but study and ask questions and you should make an A.

She is nice. She makes lab classes fun. She loves animals lol sea turtles particularly. definitely a tough grader. study hard for your midterms and finals and you'd do great. Make sure you follow her lab report guide you don't want the report grade to affect your grades. Quizzes are every week and they're pretty easy if you read and listen in class

Great teacher, she is real nice and funny. Sometimes a hard grader but most of the time if you follow her instructions you will do fine. A quiz every week pay attention, study, and never miss class. I looked forward to doing labs with her. If I was to take her class again I would definitely apply myself more because it's really not a hard class.

Ms. Wen teaches this course exceptionally well. She makes learning about the topics fun and easy to understand. Attendance is mandatory but assignments are based straight off of the notes she gives in class. 100% recommend

I absolutely loved Ms. Wen!! She is so down to earth and caring. Her notes are amazing and really help if you are taking regular Biology. Quizzes every class worth 10 points so you can't miss class. There is about 3 lab reports, and then a midterm and a final.

She is a great teacher. We had a 5 to 6 question quiz every class and the midterm and final are pretty much the same as ZOOL 252. She gives bonus questions on the quizzes and mid/final. Get out early most of the time too. She puts bio pac questions on the mid/final tho.

Ms. Wen is one of the better choices we have for ZOO 251. I do enjoy her class because she reminds me of my ZOO 250 professor. Her tests can be tricky if you don't study and she likes you to be specific on her tests. If you are right, but not specific enough it will be marked wrong. We stay in class the ENTIRE 1 hour and 15 minutes. DON'T SKIP!

I see a lot of negative feed back, but this professor is my favorite biology professor thus far. Dont get me wrong, you have to work for your grade!! It is Not an easy A, you have to study a lot, but I learned a lot in this class and she is really sweet, young, and very passionate about what she teaches!

She is a really good professor & knows what shes talking about. Tests are written but all from PowerPoints. This course is hard already but she makes sure everythings clear and very accessible outside class & via email. I recommend her for nursing/science majors bc you have to put in work but its going to be beneficial with remembering the info.

Teacher genuinely cared about the subject she was teaching and it reflected in her lectures. Class did cover a lot of material, but it was easy to learn and she taught it well. Just need to put in the effort to study before tests and to show up to class and you will do well.

I loved Ms. Wen's class! She was very caring about her students and was super willing to help her students understand the material if they were struggling. The class was not that hard either as long as you came to class every day. It is a lab so if you miss one class, you get behind but that is just how labs work. I would 100% take her again!

If you study, you will pass. She gives quizzes every class which encourages you to study and gives you the opportunity to earn points. She makes lecture interesting with little anecdotes, and you can see she is passionate about science and enjoys teaching. I knew what to expect for exams.

I took quite a few of her lab classes and they were good. She goes through lecture material, makes an effort to make class enjoyable and keeps you up to date with everything. I personally would recommend taking her for most if not all lab courses because of how easy she makes it. Once you study the material you are more than likely going to pass.

She was a really good teacher. She gives you amazing, very organized powerpoints where all the information for the test was located. She gave out 3 quizzes and 4 test including a cumulative final. You definitely have to study for all her quizzes and test but all the information comes from her powerpoints. Not an easy A but learned a lot from her.

Ive taken Wen for three different classes now and she is always amazing. Her class is lecture heavy, but thats because you only have so much time to cover a ton of information. The tests are a mix of short and long answer, matching, mc, etc but as long as you study her powerpoints/ lectures youll do fine! She also gives lots of bonus ��

Ive taken Wen for three classes now and shes always great! I took her corresponding lecture class and Im so glad I did. In the Lab you have a quiz each week on the previous weeks notes, usually always bonus too. Very straight forward class. The only thing is you dont do much with the models that your midterm and final will be testing you on.

Many in my class thought it was hard but I found if you gave yourself at least two days to study it was an easy A. On almost every single test and quiz I made over a 100%. She gives bonus & if you pay attention in lectures youll do fine. I absolutely loved this class and enjoyed her as my professor so much! She prepares you for next level classes.

Ill put it this way, the only people who dont like this professor are the people who dont study or go to class regularly. I had so many people in my Class complaining about her even though her tests come directly from lectures. I studied my quizlets a couple days in advance and always did good. If you have good study habits youre fine.

Everything is on powerpoints & it's pretty straightforward. Pay attention to diseases (causes, & symptoms) & diagrams. Ask questions. Her tests are pretty hard tbh bc they are majority labeling, fill in the blank (with no word bank) & short answer/diseases. A veryyy small portion is multi choice. BUT it is easy to pass with EFFORT. Quizzes r easy

Ms. Wen's expectations are clear and she is easily approachable. Her grading is clear and her quizzes and tests are what you would expect in a health-care required class. Take good notes, pay attention in class and ask intelligent questions and you'll do fine.

I loved her class. The lectures were clear and thorough. She not only taught us how the human body systems work, but also what happens when they don't work as they should. The clinical applications I thought were awesome, and are a good prep for more advanced classes. She did a great job of preparing us for tests. Highly recommended!

Ms. Florence Wen did a great job teaching such a hard course. All of her tests comes from the powerpoints she goes over in class, so if you study them daily and make sure you understand the material, you'll do fine. Her tests are mostly written and labeling. She definitely prepares you for things you will experience in a hospital setting.

I would definitely suggest her if you are trying to attend nursing school. She teaches all the information in detail and gives good notes. All the questions come from the notes, so make sure you study the notes really well. I love the fact that she teaches a lot of clinical application and makes you real world ready. I would definitely suggest her.

Dr. Wen is teaching a very difficult subject that is terminology heavy and memorization heavy. She does a great job at explaining and being available for help. If you don't pass, it is because you didn't do the work. A&P is a tough class.

Mrs. Wen is a great professor. She is straight forward with her lectures and more than happy to answer any questions that come to mind. Just do the work and put in the time and you are sure to pass with a B and up!

She is a great instructor. A&P is a complicated subject but she explains things really well and uses a lot of analogies to make things simpler to help with understanding. I would definitely recommend taking her if you are trying to pass!!!

YOU HAVE TO STUDY A WEEK IN ADVANCE!!!! the test are 40 short answer questions, 5 multiple choice, and a labeling section. this class is not a walk in the park, especially with her. she makes you work hard for your grade. she is very nitpicky & checks for correct spelling. the nets are over 200+ slides & the final is cumulative with no study guide

I thought she was a great option, put in the effort to learn the material and you will do great! I have no complaints thought she was super fair and gave a decent amount of bonus! You have to go to class because she puts blanks in powerpoints. I loved her & would def take her again! Graded by all multiple choice exams and written quizzes!

Every class, there's a quiz, if you study the PowerPoints she puts on Moodle, you'll pass the quizzes (written), Midterm (MC, matching, written) and Final (same as midterm). Also gives participation points. She can be a little intimidating, strict with deadlines, and doesn't respond to emails that quick. Could potentially give out extra credit.

Great professor; explained concepts better than my lecture teacher. You have quizzes every class, but they're easy. Lots of bonus opportunities. Only complaint is that she's a little rude and sometimes ignores people with questions. I study for quizzes the night before and make 100s. Study lab manual for the two tests, and you'll be fine.

Highly recommend. Chapters are gone through each class by lecture/powerpoint but she's engaged and isn't just reading through them. You need to go to class to fill in the blanks so that you have the material. Grade is dependent on 4 tests, a few quizzes and like one homework. A lot of material to learn but if you review how you should its ok

I have Ms. Wen now. I think anyone that gives this professor bad reviews just does not study or pay attention. I studied for her exam a week in advance. The questions were not tricky. It was very reasonable. She makes you work for it, but her lectures are very engaging and helpful.

I loved this professor! You should know this is going to be a difficult class going in, so you should expect to put in hours of studying each week. Her test and quizzes are very straightforward, and she offers bonus on each quiz and each test. She is a very upbeat and happy person, and you can tell that she enjoys what she is teaching.

NO READING! Her exams are based 100% on PowerPoints that she gives you! It makes it soooo easy to study because you don't have to read chapters and chapters of information! I've never had a professor tell us the textbook wasn't necessary! She also gives bonus on EVERY quiz and sometimes gives BONUS pop quizzes to be added to our exam.

I loved taking this class with her. She is difficult only because she expects you to learn the material, like school should be. She is willing to stop and re-explain difficult information if need be. She made class interesting and enjoyable.

Professor Wen is does have high standards when it comes to her class, but she is reasonable and understanding. Very lecture heavy but as long as you study the material and pay attention in class you should have no problem passing with a B.

When I came into this class I was worried about all the negative ratings. However, I thought Ms Wen was a great professor. If you show up and read and study EVERY powerpoint you will get an A. Make sure to annotate because sometimes she will literally tell you what will or will not be on the exam. What an amazing professor!

She teaches so actively. My only problem is her exams are more difficult compared to other professors because it is not composed of just multiple choice (matching, labeling, short answer). Her PowerPoints and lectures are very informational. Also the quizzes every 2 weeks helps a lot in studying and an easy grade booster.

Ms Florence was an overall good professor! Her lectures were very informative, and though she went on the occasional off topic rant, it was still informative! Get ready for quizzes and make sure to know the material! What helped me was skimming over the lectures every day to other day, and making quizlets to learn the vocabulary!

She is amazing and very passionate about biology. She can be intimidating and harsh when grading, but she is perfect for anyone pursuing a career in biology. Everything on the test is in her lectures, fill in those blanks and write down anything she says is important. Study for the quizzes or else you will be rocking a B tops (same for the lab).

I think Prof. Wen gets a bad rap because I love her! As a bio major, she was very passionate about the material and genuinely wanted the students to learn and be successful. Although the class is hard and she can grade harshly, I would definitely take her again

She is amazing if you put in the work. There is a quiz each week based on the powerpoints from the previous lab, they are very easy if you review the powerpoints. Midterm and Final as for every other lab, if you study the models you will be OKAY! She is amazing!
