I thought she was very confusing and didn't explain the material at all...if you have a choice don't pick her!

She can't really speak English and when she does, she doesn't make too much sense. She yells if you ask a question because she gets confused and thinks she already explained it. It's funny when she yells, though, because she really has to think about how to pronounce the words!

Do not take her for this class. She makes you feel stupid if you do not understand the concept. If you ask her to repeat something, she yells at you and throws a fit.

I have never struggled this much before in math. She is very hard to understand and get along with. Gives out pointless assignments and grades EVERYTHING. She isn't willing to help a student either. I recommend that you DO NOT take her, you will definitely regret it! She's bad news!!!!!!!

She's HORRIBLE. She favors the guys in class over the girls, and she gets REALLY mad if you ask a question. She made one girl in my class cry. She assigns SO MUCH homework out of class... DON'T TAKE HER CLASS.

She is bad teacher to start off with. She also grades homework very hard. I mean I attempted the thing, dont take off 2 pts because I forgot the end parenthesis. There is also a quiz daily, so before every single class you are doing a 2-hour hw packet and studying for a quiz. Id rather wake up as a victim in the Movie SAW, than take her. THE Worst

She must be the worst teacher I have ever had. Her grading scale was nuts (you needed a 92 to get an A, 84 for a B, 75 for a C...). She said she did it because we would get a lot of extra credit, but after a few weeks, she stopped giving extra credit... and still graded like that. She LOVES to belittle her students... just stay away!!!

She yells when she gets frustrated. She is not very good at explaining what she wants. I would avoid her at all costs, but thats just me.

She is a terrible teacher! She does not know what she is talking about and whoever gave her a doctorit should be shot! She made me cry 3 different times in class and several times outside of class. It doesn't get much worse the laribee. Hard to understand was she's saying. Also when i took the class she fell very far behind and we were forced to learn 3 chapters in about a 2 week span. You will probably learn most of the material on your own.

AVOID. To be fair we covered the NCTM required levels but we also fell 5 weeks behind. Grades are not transparent. 2 red slashes on a paper and a question mark = 31/40. Doesn't give tests back. No point total for class so no idea how I'm doing. It's one week to finals and I have no clue what my grade is. AVOID unless you're a masochist.

For students that need to take Mat 1270, I would recomend Jonica McBride. At Least you understand it a little better ith Jonica. Florentia Larribee is very hard to understand. She is a quizaholic, and she sets you up for failure She also does not even allow enough time for quizes. DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR!!!

There are short quizzes everyday at the end of class, they're not bad though. Her accent makes her hard to understand and she sort of makes pepole feel stupid when they ask questions. Attendence is important, if you have perfect attendance you don't have to take the accumulative* final.

She's an awful teacher. Very demanding and rude. Not approachable whatsoever. Makes comments when the class is not asking questions but when they do she gets upset at the person, gives them a sarcastic remark and embarrasses them in front of the class. I highly recommend you not taking her classes.

This professor is very rude, she told my my name was for a boy, and makes students feel stupid. She pushes students to ask questions and then looks at you like you have 6 heads. I attempted to ask a question one day and she threw my $100 calculator down. I would not recommend taking this lady. It is worth it to wait for another section to open up.

There is a language barrier, hence why her clarity score is so low. She recommends you go see a tutor and to not bother with her during office hours since she's "busy" and has "other things to do". She will shame you and make you feel stupid. You have to rely on your textbook, it does a better job explaining everything. Don't argue with her. Luck.

Absolutely terrible professor (if you could even call her one) I dropped her class half way through. The worst part? Her class was a non credit class. Really shows how terrible the math department is here.

By far the worst teacher I've ever had. As if not being able to understand her isn't bad enough, she shames you if you don't understand something. In order to pass you must attend class every day and participate as well, the only plus side is that you get 1 extra credit point for every correct answer. She gives quizzes EVERY day so read the book!

She starts off by advising you to not come into her office hours because she says she busy with more important things. I'm uncomfortable in her class because she shouts, rants, and shames you...! Never have I been so shocked, I guess this is the beginning of bad Math professors at Eastern.

You can skip class all you want, just do your assignments. Webassign (site where you submit your hw) taught me everything I needed to know as well as my textbook. Her lecture is pulled from the textbook so there's no point of going to class to be yelled at. Don't drop her class because of your hate, stick through because it's easy when you study.

She is rude, not helpful,&very unclear. I am an organized student and show up to class every single day yet feel completely lost during more challenging lessons. I feel like I am teaching myself the material. She is by far the worst professor I have ever had. I read these reviews and didn't take the advice. Avoid her if math isn't your strong suit.
