He is a good teacher. A young and intelligent guy. I would take him for another class if I was able to.

Great Teacher...He is very helpful and wants you to understand. There is a quiz after each lab exercise. They are kinda hard, but if you stay and actual do the lab it helps. Most of your grade comes from two practicals. Just like the quizzes, if you do the lab they're not as hard.

I took two Biology courses with him because I think he's great. He teaches his classes as building blocks to higher sciences and makes sure you know your stuff. He won't grade on a curve and is very specific on his tests but his quizzes are cake. I also like the emphasis he puts on evolution. I wish I would have stuck with him for A&P.

Awesome teacher...The class did require a lot of studying, but Mr. Crock provided lecture notes after each class in case you weren't able to write everything down. There's a quiz after every lecture, but it helps when it comes to the test. He definitely doesn't hand you your grade, you have to earn it which is why were here..right?

HE'S THE BEST!! I have no idea why ppl have posted not to take this teacher. He's extremely helpful especially in lab. During lectures, all you have to do is bring along the powerpoint lectures he posts to class and go along and highlight with him.. thats it!!! His tests are all mc, somewhat challening tho. but this is college now.. get with it ppl

Excellent professor! He gives very hard tests. However, if you study the highly detailed outlines that he gives you'll do great. He is very "quiz heavy", but it helps boost your grade and keeps you studying. Actually cares if you pass or fail and is very quick to make time for those who need it, but the student has to make the effort!

Prof. Crock spend tons of time during office hours helping me with questions. I took his class online which is a VERY BAD idea. He was very helpful and interesting to talk with. He is a very smart man and enjoyed meeting and learning from him.

Easy to understand. Answers questions well. Not overly boring. Quizzes every class but they aren't hard if you quickreview beforehand. Tests aren't bad. Projects are easy and boost grade (draw a chloroplast). Helpful to students. Nice guy.

He is very easy to understand and is completely willing to help if the student is willing to work. Study the quizzes and the class notes and everything will be fabulous. :) This is not an easy class, but it's also not as hard as people are making it out to be.

He is very interesting and tries his hardest to keep you entertained. It's nice to have someone who really loves biology explaining it to you. It makes me more interested when he goes off on a story that relates to what we're talking about, like when he did research and such. Always super helpful, and always has gone out of his way.

Professor Crock is an awesome teacher! His lectures are easy to understand, and he keeps your attention. He gives you all of his notes and makes his tests and quizzes based only on his notes. Gives a quiz at the beginning of every class so you have to pay attention and study! If you study for the quizzes you will do good on the tests.

Had him for Bio 101 Lab, the only thing I can say is that the practicals are hard but hey they are practicals people their not normal tests. Great teacher, great guy always willing to help out and stay after for anyone needing clarification

Prof. Crock is awesome. Took online class and enjoyed it! Very enthusiastic about BIO and wants students to do well. Answers questions quick! Study notes and keep up with assignments and you will do great! Good heart and very knowledgeable on biology. :-)

Took online. He gives 5 sets of (a quiz,project,exam,& a mini test intended for e.c) You get 100s no matter what on the project & quiz. The tests are hard but are straight from his notes. I didn't even need to use the textbook.

Took class in person. Crock gives you all notes in power point form. Memorize all notes. Not difficult. People who fail didn't study. Lots of extra credit, i.e. quizes are 11 questions, but scored out of 10. Drops lowest 3 quiz grades. Mandatory attendence. Just like every other math/science course: don't fall behind and study everything.

i took him for 101 and 102. He is my favorite teacher out of all my teachers. I highly recomend him. His power points are very straight forward. Hes bad at wording tests but if u confront him he may just take the question out of the test. Every test is off his power points. He makes most luctures fun and intriuging

Mr. Crock is a very good teacher. If you take him online definitely make sure you have him for lab. Biology is a hard subject. If you do not study you will fail. Aslong as you study and get with mr Crock if you don't understand something you will be fine!

I would've done far better in this class if I had Crock for lab, and not someone who had never taught before. Took lecture online, those tests were HARD! Study, study, study and seek help if you get behind or lost. His projects and essays he assigns are great to bring up your grade though.

Forrest Crock is a GREAT teacher. He definatley tries to help his students learn. The class itself is not easy, had a quiz every week in lab but they were always exactly what we learned the lab before. failed both practicals but the quizes helped me pass with a C. He gave really easy projects for lecture. RECOMMEND taking him for both!!!

Mr. Crock is a wonderful teacher. His love of biology and science comes through in his lectures. He will quiz you every day but he drops the three lowest scores. His tests are not hard but you do need to study his powerpoints. He makes the subject fun and interesting.

Mr. Crock is an awesome teacher! I wish he could teach all science classes. He is easy to understand, powerpoints and lecture are his teaching methods. He makes everything understandable with interesting stories of his experiences. If you study the powerpoints you will be fine on tests, didn't use the book at all for the class.

I had him for, and I'm so glad I did! He really knows how to dumb things down, and that always came in handy for my lecture class. Notes and key words are given at the beginning of every lab, so it helps to be there. Tests are given after HW is turned in; doing the HW makes said test fairly easy. Do the labs too, he likes to quiz you on them.

He went above and beyond in my online class to make sure that we understood. Great prof.

Took for both lecture and lab, he REALLY wants to see his students learn. Always had a pleasant attitude everyday. His lecture tests were a bit difficult. He has lectures that are a great supplement to the reading and that really help with the tests. I did not like that you have to come in for the tests even though it's an online class. He's very helpful and if you email him. It's not the easiest class but that's not on him, it's the subject. Does give extra credit.

I took Bio 101 lecture with Mr. Crock and I enjoyed it. I didn't find it to difficult. You will have to study. I studied his power points and did the learning objectives and terms. There are 5 test, no cumulative, homework assignments, and discussion boards for each chapter. He gives a extra credit assignment that replaces a test grade. I got an A.

Tough class, but if I can pass it, anybody can. Don't buy the book. You have to buy McGraw to do assignments and it has the ebook. The assignments are up 100 questions per chapter! He gives you 2 weeks to finish 2 chapters. The tests are HARD and you have to take them on campus. Listen to recorded lecture, do assignment, STUDY, and go to every lab.

Mr. Crock is an excellent teacher who really cares about his students. His course is time consuming, with either a quiz or test for every single class time, but the quizzes are only worth 5% of the grade, and 5 out of the 20 are dropped. Dont buy the book, its not needed for lecture. He will put up videos in blackboard that help with studying.

Mr. Crock communicates well, has an amiable attitude, & thoroughly cares about his student's success. There are 6 tests given, all multiple choice with a written portion to be done at home, & a quiz each class day, where the lowest 5 quiz grades are dropped at the end of the semester. If you study the book or powerpoints studiously, you'll do well.

The lab portion for Bio 101 with Mr. Crock contained two practicals and a quiz every lab, where the two lowest quiz grades are dropped at the end of the semester. If you're attentive in class, study well, and ask for clarification if need be, you'll end up with an A. He's indisputably, scientifically knowledgeable, and conveys that knowledge well.

He really knows biology and clearly loves it. No textbook needed for lecture but, lab you will need the book. The tests and quizzes isn't to hard just study the notes and powerpoints.

Nice guy, no issues with his class. I enjoyed the jokes he occasionally included in his tests. I also liked how he encouraged students to show their "I voted" stickers for extra credit on Election Day.

Forrest is a fantastic teacher. He posts all the Power Points on Blackboard. Does make you do a quiz at the beginning of class based on the prior lecture, but they aren't super difficult and as long as you took notes and go over the Power Point again before class, you'll do well. Explains the material very well. I think he's the best bio teacher.

No hw ever. He made doing labs very fun and easy to understand. The two quests were the hardest thing he assigned. Breaks everything down so that everyone can understand. Best bio teacher for 101, DEF recommend him to everyone!! And most of the time you get out of class over an hour early after finishing your lab and weekly easy quiz.

He has been my favorite professor EVER. He's laid back, makes his classroom always feel comfortable, and wants to see you succeed. Biology classes are hard. This is not an "easy" class, but he makes it way more tolerable than most would put effort into. Plus, IMO, he's a babe. As long as you do the work, there's no way you won't pass.

He will drop your lowest quiz grade. Take good notes and write everything he puts on the board. I only looked at my textbook briefly 3 times in the whole class. I loved this class!

Loved this teacher! Very laid back, keeps the atmosphere in the class laid back as well. You definitely need to be in class everyday because there are quizzes each day. Do the homework because it'll save your grade and it's pretty easy anyway! Pretty simple class as long as you're on top of your assignments and studying. He'll help you out too!

Good teacher. But you'll have to do the work to get a good grade. My only complaint was that he assigned a few assignments every week but in the end, it all only accounted for 10% of your grade. In other words, it seemed like a lot of constant work that didn't really count for much. So all that up front, I would def take this guy.

Truly cares about his students and is willing to help anyway he can. he once sat after class with me because i had a panic attach and he wanted to make sure i was okay and gave me great life advice! great person great teacher, helps everyone and tries to make sure no one falls behinds with labs study power points and group homework!

I've taken Crock for two semesters and he has become my favorite professor of any yet. There is an 11 pt quiz at the start of each class (2 lowest dropped) and 6 exams (roughly 50 questions). Study obj/term sheets and power points online and you'll do well. There's an extra credit reading/writing assignment if you want to wipe an entire exam grade

Crock is fantastic. I took him online for lecture and in lab. He's laid back, straight to the point, gives lots of extra credit and gives you exactly what you need to know for tests and quizzes. Lecture was composed of hw assingments due every two weeks before the exams and that was all. For lab it was quizzes and hw every lab and two practicals.

He was a very caring and funny professor. Biology is not usually a major for a lot of people and he understands that. He does his best to make class interesting and is helpful. You will have to study to pass his tests (there are 6), but it's college so studying is basically always necessary. There is a quiz every week at the beginning of class.

Mr. Crock is an amazing lecture teacher! He gets excited to teach and loves when students ask questions in class. He keeps everyone interested while in class and has his quirky moments.

Smart, funny, caring. I was scared when I went back to school as a non-traditional student at TCC. Explained things well, never made me feel stupid for asking an honest question, and encouraged study groups to help deepen our understanding. I took his lecture online and with face to face lab and I wouldnt change it at all. Best bio 101 class ever!

I love him! Hes very funny and is very understanding if you come to him. He handled the transition with COVID-19 very well. He does give quizzes every class so you have to constantly study but theyre nice to have a gage of where you are. The tests are fairly simple. Not too hard at all.

He was very consistent gave a quiz and worksheet each week but was very straight forward and most the time the worksheet and the quiz were the same questions which helped, teacher was also great at grading quick and responsive to messages

If you are looking for an engaging professor, then look no further. Mostly a visual teacher uses pictures and diagrams. Very passionate about what he does and class is never boring. Very quiz heavy but he drops 2 of your lowest grades at the end of the semester. 10/10 would take his class again.

He's a great professor! He made biology an easy passing course. If you're taking his class, get ready for quizzes every day. He's not too strict, and he is very upfront when telling you the information needed for tests and exams. If I could take his class again I definitely would!

This class is a bit hard but I think that's to be expected from any science class. Crock is a nice, funny guy. There's a small quiz every week based on what you did in lab the week before, and there are two exams throughout. As long as you study they aren't too difficult. Would take again.

You can just tell the moment you step into his class how kind this man is. He makes the lectures easy to understand and you can tell he cares about every student in his class. He has a dad sense of humor which I think is a plus. He does have a lot of quizzes but I think they're very easy and he drops a few of your lowest at the end of the semester.

I had Prof. C for both lecture and lab for BIO 101 and BIO 102. He is easily one of the best teachers I have ever had. As long as you read over his notes and pay attention in class, you'll be completely fine. He's a great lecturer and knows how to get information across effectively. He's really chill, and I would definitely recommend taking him!

His labs were simple and easy. Gave quizzes every class, generous grader. Quizzes aligns with what is in the packages. He is easy going, highly recommend taking the lab!

Professor Crock is an overall great teacher, it just clearly shows I'm not good in Biology. But he's very lenient to late works, explains the contents well, and would be willing to help on how to proceed with the assignments, labs, and practical, which are the mid term and final. Be prepared for the quiz every class and the practicals.
