best math professor on campus
Best Math Prof !!
Very clear. Don't miss class.
Excellent Math Prof!!!!
Best Prof ever
Do the work to get a good mark
Awesome prof!!!
Excellent prof. Smart
can sometimes be unclear about what she is saying other wise okay
Very knowledgeable, helpful. Sometimes goes very fast.

Great Teacher. Helpful outside of class, excellent examples in class.
When I go to ask her for help, she looks at me like I'm stupid!! :(
Great Prof

Excellent teacher, clear examples (tons of them). She gives you all the tools to do well.
She gives lots of examples and the notes she gives are very clear. I've heard she's the best at U of R. Iqbal Hussein is another good one.
She was an awesome math teacher. Definitely recommend her to anyone taking a math class.
Excellent prof. Lays out theory and explains with lots of examples.
She is an awesome prof, not to mention the cookies and juice on the last day...however, beware of her tests...they are not always as easy as they could be
She is an absolutely amazing math professor. She really knows her stuff and give lots of good and helpful examples. I strongly recommend her for Math 111.
She is the best prof. You learn a lot from her class. Very clear explaination, very good examples. Cookies and Juice on the last day, awesome!!
Uses the most clear, concise, and applicable method for teaching math/calculus.
v. good examples, v. fair tests...easy to talk to, makes you think for yourself, so you actually learn the material
She is one of the best math professor in University of Regina
Awesome prof, almost like a highschool teacher. Her tests are fair, and she does a lot of good examples.
she hated me and i almost failed her class but i have to admit..she was an awesome prof with excellent notes and i wish i had tried harder
Stands right in front of the board when she is writing on it. By the time she moves out of the way, she's erasing what she wrote. If you don't understand when she explains it, you're screwed over because you'll never be able to copy down a thing.
She knows her stuff, but doesn not explains things so you can understand. She moves very fast from topic to topic. Her quizzes and assignments are quite fair. Out of all the math profs I think she is the best and I do recommend her.
She knows her stuff. Some of the questions are kind of "out there" but help in the end. The lab was a waste of time.
She moves very fast, examples she gives are great, the midterms and final were a little hard but fair.
Of all the math professors- she is the best. Lots of examples and always willing to help. Don't be afraid to go to her office and ask questions. If you get frustrated in her class- go for help. The class isn't super hard when you have such a great prof teaching it! And you'll get used to her accent.
Like everyone else suggested, she is probably the best... Gives hard examples for you to learn, but gives regular questions on the exams.
one of the best. probably the best, for having a huge class. definitely recommend her. she knows how to teach! oh yeah, and cookies and juice on the last day for Luther classes!
She is a very good prof, explains everything clearly and knows her stuff. She is always willing to help and if she doesn't have time she'll find you help. Only problem is she stands in front of the board after she writes and its hard to copy stuff down before she erases it.
An excellent prof. She explained concepts clearly and thoroughly and gave good examples. He assignments and tests were quite fair and applied directly to the course material. I highly recommend her.
I agree with everyone that she was extremely easy and helpful. More like a high school teacher than a proff. However that may be because of the class. Being full of arrogant engineers that would not shut up it resembled high school more than university. She did yell at them once or twice but as far as I'm concerned she was too nice and patient.
She really knows what shes doing, but it helps to have taken calc. in highschool. Shes very helpful, the lab is only useful if you have problems with assignments, and its where you write all your tests or quizzes. good class, great teacher, very nice and friendly, and she explains it well if you dont understand and need private help.
You will not get a better professor at the U of R! If you get the chance - take anything you can from her!
She was awesome! Very helpful, and upbeat. She somehow made math fun, and I would recommend taking any classes you can with her!!
Honestly, everyone thinks she's such a great prof, but she's hard to understand due to her accent. Also she flies through notes and examples, so instead of learning you find you're just copying notes off the board for the entire class. I would not recommend her to anyone that does not have a previously VERY advanced knowledge of this subject.
She is a very good teacher, I would highly recommend her.
the amount of work in this class left my head spinning. good teacher overall... but a little sadistic with the weekly homework.
Very good math proff. Assingments are very difficult (overwhelming) but they are fairly marked, and quizzes, etc. are not hard. I just disliked the midterms that were only out of 30.. so losing like 2 marks drops you like 7%. She knows her math well. Recommended
To whoever said that she is hard to understand, you must not have had any other profs from UofR. They are all hard to understand. With Fotini, you can read her writing and she tries to make everything clear. Her assignments are long, but they help. Take the class she is great!!!
hard to understand
nice prof, kinda too much details and examples so if ur bad at math, take her class
Really good, I recommend her...makes things a lot easier
Very good prof, probably the best math prof at the university. She does tons of examples for new concepts so it's easy to understand. Assignments really help, and midterms are fair - no surprises or trick questions. I highly recommend her as a teacher.
Hands down best prof ever!!! Even though the subject is hard, she did her very best to halp students understand. The course is hard, so you have to put lots of time into the hard assignments, but it makes the final seem like child's play!!
Not sure why all this love for Labropulu. Her midterms are about 100x harder then any of the other math proffs. She is a very good teacher though, and despite difficulty I will be going from a NP in my first try at Math 111, to a high 80's. If you are VERY good at math, try taking it from a different proff, she will only hurt your chances of a 90+
Awesome examples, and LOTS of them. She gave weekly assignments, which helped concepts stick. She showed us a very cool shortcut for integration by parts. My only beef was that we had to memorize formulas. She's certainly the best math prof I've ever had, but not the easiest.
Fontini is a good prof. Her midterms are very hard, and quizzes are easy if you do/study the assignments. Lots of assignments-becomes annoying but SO worth it. You will ace the final, it was so easy having her excellent teaching skills and the hard work definitely paid off.
She is a very good prof. I find her examples in class are very basic. On the assignments the questions are much more difficult. I personally find it difficult to take what I've learned in class and apply it to the assignments. I find the quizzes and midterms difficult but they aren't unfair.
The professor is terrible when she assumes that we know everything. She does not provide enough examples for one to completely understand the concepts. She goes by really fast and she acts emotional when you are asking questions or whenever you question her method. She's very tough to follow especially with her accent.
Shes really good. Accent doesnt make her hard to understand. I got 60/70s in high school math and found this class easy. Tests are ridiculously easy. Math 104/105 is 110 spread out over two semesters and is way better option with the opportuntiy to get a way better grade. I thought she was really helpful and did alot of examples. Def recommend
A lot of examples. Very willing to help if needed.
No problem at all understanding her accent. Assignments were sometimes hard and long, but VERY helpful. She is SOO good at teaching this class. She knows what to breeze over, and what to focus on. Exams and quizzes were simple! I heard from a math prof i know that she is the best 110 prof, and i had friends with others and she sounds best hands dn.
Great prof. Lots of material for the class but she was very helpful and good at explaining. She would give hints and tricks to help you with problems and cut down work. She is really nice and her tests are simple. Would definitely take another class with her!
Difficult midterms and final. Quizzes are fairly easy. Weekly assignments are more difficult than material covered. Goes very fast. Not very interesting.
Terrible Prof. I have never dealt with a professor more rude at the University, and I have dealt with many people. She was totally rude when I asked for any sort of help, didn't answer any of my questions and refused to let me use an acceptable calculator during an exam. Is that honestly what she gets paid for? Terrible. Avoid if you can.
A great math prof. Does plenty of examples in class. Its a hard class, but she does a great job in making sure you understand the material. As long as you take her notes in class and pay attention, she will help you succeed in the class.
Best Calculus prof at the UofR. Gives lots of examples and knows the subject very well. Covers everything important and spends less time on other topics. Assignments are not very hard if you're paying attention in class; same with midterms & final. Very helpful and friendly, always asks if there are questions. Highly recommended!
Marking on the mid terms was ridiculous. At the end she realllllly curved the marks to have a class avg above 60.
The best Math 110 prof at the U of R. Out of a class of 100 or so she recognized I looked confused one day and took me aside after class to explain the concept to me. For the midterms, focus on concepts (what you are finding when you solve a question) but the final was easier as it was just calculations
Easy to understand, and everyone can tell she enjoys her job/happy person. Always an assignment once a week, even when there's a midterm. Assignments and quizes are easy but make sure you know DEFINITIONS and THEOREMS!!! if you don't you will fail the midterm and final.
She is easy to understand and goes over lots of examples in class. Weekly quizzes and assignments. For the two midterms make sure you know theories and definitions. She is very knowledgeable in calculus. She tells you exactly what concepts are on the quizzes. Lab was kinda useless unless there was a quiz. Is willing to help you after class if asked
provides a lot of notes for quizzes and exams. attend class regularly and ask for help if you need it. weekly assignments or quizzes.
provides plenty of notes for class. found it a fair bit tougher than math 110. show up to class and do the assignments even if you think its wrong. weekly assingments or quizzes.
Her writing is clear, she speaks clearly and she does a ton of examples. She does move more quickly than any other prof I have had. Assignments take a long time. Quizzes are fair. The midterms are VERY difficult. They cover everything, even stuff that wasn't on assignments. Final was next level hard too and I consider myself very good at calc.
Dr. Labropulu did a ton of examples that made learning concepts easy. She wrote extremely fast, making it difficult to get all the notes down, but everything she wrote was very useful. Some of her quizzes and midterms were tricky, but they more than prepared you for the standardized final. I would definitely take another class from her.
she explains very well, tests are hard but fair. quizzes are fairly simple.. need to complete assignments to do well in the course.
I started the semester w barely any Calculus knowledge and now I love math thanks to Fotini. If you need examples that are amazingly explained and all steps are shown, Fotini's class is for you! She does lots of quizzes and tests, but you can easily prepare because she gives you tons of resources like a lab manual. I want to take more math w her!
Dr. Labropulu is good prof during class and here quizzes are very easy based on assignments, however its her exams and method of teaching which is based on writing on the board with less demonstrating leads into cramming math for exams. That does not help preparing you for the final exam. Specially final exam is a unified exam and tough.
She has bi-weekly quizzes which are easier than she states. Just like the assignments she posts. It is a good idea to take her class, as her preps and frequent testing are sufficient in making the final easier. She stresses the memorization of THEORY, so know your theorems. They will be everywhere.
not recommended at all, run if you want to understand not just pass
She is very good maths professor. Her class lectures and notes are very clear. You would pass easily if concentrate in her lectures. She is really helpful. Quizzes are fairly easy whereas midterm and final exam are reasonable.
Her quizzes are easy, but midterms are resonable. Her notes are good , she explains every little thing. I would recommend to take her class.
Fotini is such a good prof. This is my second time having her as a prof and I would recommend her to everyone. There is a lot of material in this class and a lot of formulas, but she explains everything perfectly. The quizzes are easy, but the midterms and finals are pretty tough. Overall, a great prof!
Fotini is a great math prof. She is worth the walk to Luther! You take a billion notes so invest in two notebooks for this class (seriously!) Don't let that comment scare you away tho. A good majority of these pages are filled with examples she goes thru with the class. EXTREMELY helpful when studying for her tests and quizzes
Difficult class but she challenged you and prepared you very well for the final! Notes are not posted online so going to class is crucial! I would highly recommend her and will take her again if possible.
SHE IS REALLY GOOD! the class itself needs a lot of work and she is there to help u through it. she is nice and friendly (she doesn't look like it tho) and super sweet. highly recommend. oh, and a lot of notes... might feel like ur hands will fall off
My experience in Professor Labropulu's class was awesome. She runs a tough class, and she will make you work for your grade. Homework exercise is mandatory. There is a LOT of notes, I would recommend 2 notebooks. Her lab instructor was really poor, but she recognised that and altered the lab so she would instruct it. I would recommend her to ANYONE
Very intelligent professor and quizzes are easy. But it is very difficult to understand the material that is gone over in class because she goes very quickly and you barely have enough time to write everything down. Her midterms and finals are also outrageously hard and too long despite the easy quizzes
The quizzes and midterms were fairly easy especially but the final exam was difficult in comparison. Lots of examples which is very beneficial. If you skip class and don't do the assignments, you will do poorly.
Fotini is a real gem. Math 111 is a tough course, however, Fotini provides great examples which allows you to fully comprehend the math. She does go really fast, but this is because she goes through multiple examples of each type of question. I would highly recommend her class!
Lots of examples, so be prepared to have at least two notebooks. The final was pretty easy, the midterms were fair game (failed the second one :/ ), and the quizzes were easy. There were 9 assignments in total with each one having 2 or 3 sections with each section having 5-10 questions each. I know, lots of homework, but it was really beneficial.
Fotini is a fantastic professor. She never wastes time in lectures. Very organized. I look forward to taking more courses from her in the future.
Lecture's are heavy and quick paced.... wouldn't be so bad if her assignments and midterms actually asked things pertaining to the examples she went over in class. Examples done in class are from textbook which is useless because her questions on assignments/midterms are completely different!
All she does is write the examples down and doesn't even explain anything too well. She is not the friendliest lady and seems annoyed whenever you ask her for help.
No comments. Very very very hard
Fotini gives clear expectations about what will be on her tests. The tests are tough but not unreasonable, and she marks fairly. She does not post notes though, so attendance is a must. She also blasts through examples really quick, so be prepared to learn some material off the internet.
Fotini is so far the best Math prof I've ever had. During her lectures, she goes through the theory quite quickly, but she really puts some time going through examples. Be ready to practice her assignments, or you won't do good on quizzes and tests.
I would recommend every students to avoid her class. She is so rude and not respectful. Also, She does not explain the concept all she does solving 1000 of examples. Very difficult. I have tried the class with other profs and i had over 80%.
She does more than enough examples for each topic and if something isn't clear, will elaborate on it if you ask. Just be prepared to work a lot. There isn't one particularly difficult part of the course, but there is a lot of material. If you are looking for an easier 300-level math, take something else.
If you like to understand math do not take the class with her, all she does is writing without any explaining. In my experience, she is very rude and she does not respect students. Finals are super difficult. Generally ! Avoid Her!!
I would never recommend this prof to anyone at all. She is very rude and gets mad when students ask questions.
Took and dropped the class twice. She seemed annoyed when u ask questions & gives 10 hw throughout the semester w/ each being worth 1% & a 10-page worthy solution. The workload of this class overtakes all of your semesters courses; this class wont let you work w/ your other classes. Seems like the prof wants you to be devoted to only this course
She does not record lectures and only posts lecture notes which aren't very helpful if you don't understand the concepts themselves. She is VERY unapproachable and will openly criticize your question if she finds it dumb. Very theory based, and the theories must be written the way she does. Not sympathetic to technical difficulties. RUN.
Do not take Math 110 with her or any other class. She is extremely rude and disrespectful to students who do not understand what she is teaching. Midterms and Final make up for 90%. All theory based, no recorded lectures. Program she uses for everything is terrible and will lower your grade significantly. Goes really fast with no explanation.
Extremely rude woman who lacks respect for students. Grades harsh and leaves no room for technical difficulty or misunderstanding. Doesnt record lectures and even if she did- it would be useless. She doesnt explain anything and expects you to have the same mathematical knowledge as her.
Don't make the mistake of choosing her as your prof. She goes through so many examples and expects you to know them for tests, but does not explain any of it & rushes. The tests are hard to pass in general but the program she uses for them online makes your mark even worse. So many people are failing the tests, but she truly could care less.
I would not recommend her to anyone. She was rude when students asked questions and does not seem to care at all about her students in general. Exams are really difficult and worth 30% each. Every time a student voiced concerns she seemed to ignore them completely. Overall, I had an extremely bad experience.
People who don't like her probably just don't like math. All a good math prof needs to do is show examples, and that's exactly what she does. Show up for class, learn how to solve the problems, and you'll be good.
Dr. Labropulu explains topics well and gives lots of examples which I found very helpful. There were lots of practice and graded assignments which were very useful for preparing for exams. As long as you attend lectures and do the homework questions, you should do well in this class.
Yells at students which is honestly humorous but overall she is rude and doesnt explain things she just does examples and assumes oyu should comprehend what shes is doing
Avoid her in any case . She is worst professor. She never heard student voice. She is plagiarism specifically to international student so they can fail into that subject so they can make money. This is whole scam. They just want to make money
I would not recommend to any student to take this instructor for any of the classes. so, strict she never explains all the steps clearly and expects the student to explain all the steps in a limited time in midterm also lots of assignments which only worth the overall 10% and a total of four midterms and each of them worth 30%.
My recommendation is don't take any subject with her she gave so much reading she wants to follow her method only. so much reading material and if you use another method by chance you will get plagiarism. if you take it be ready to read a lot.
Fotini is a great prof! Her course is demanding, but if you put in the work, you will be rewarded. She likes to use Proctortrack for online exams, and is a very fair marker. She explains things well and her lectures are at a fast pace which is helpful, and keeps them from getting boring. You won't regret taking her class.
Worst proff. I have ever seen. Her tests are really heavy and impossible to complete in a time. She gives plagiarism to more than half of the class just because they use a bit different method. Take this proof if you want to waste your money.
Made the class harder than it should have been. Exams were on two different websites, proctored and had to show and submit all your work. Way too many procautions that lead to more unneeded stress. Her notes were not good and her explanations would lead to more confusion in the class. I do not recommend taking her if you want to keep your sanity.
Don't let her above-average rate my prof score fool you, she is very hard to learn from and makes topics sound more convoluted than they really are. I should have failed the class but so should the rest of my class due to a hefty curve. AVOID AT ALL COSTS avoiding her is worth delaying your degree.
This prof made my life 10x more difficult that it should have been. Her grading and lecturing style is just awful. She's so rude and does not have care or compassion when it comes to her students whatsoever. She made me hate calculus all together. Her lecturing is so difficult to understand and she runs through slides so quickly. do not recommend.
Not recommended to take any class from her for several reasons such as tough exams in less time, mentioning everything according to her way in any test, lots of things to remember, teaching so fast, does not expect questions during lectures, and most important being ready for getting plagiarism in the course.
Felt like this prof was actively trying to fail us. When asked what would be on an exam, she would almost directly lie; it was better just to study every single thing. Tests had the hardest possible questions, and her lectures were so fast. Her explanations of all concepts seemed to be the hardest possible way to teach it. Take another class.
good professor
She gave a lot of practice assignments which were pretty similar to our tests. She likes to ask once in a while in the middle of her lectures if we needed any clarification. She is also accessible outside of class time, took the time to answer our questions. Attendance isn't mandatory, but skipping class will snowball on you. Lecture-heavy.
she is good
Attendance matters based on if you took Calculus 30 in HighSchool or not. She gave many examples within the lectures on content which was great. A suggestion; study using the questions available in the textbook. Overall great teacher!
Great prof, wants students to succeed on exams. Gives clear tips, and lots of examples during lecture. It is fast-paced, but work hard and you will do well.
Amazing professor!
I don't recommend this prof to anyone. She won't give anything close to full marks if you get the correct answer but do the question slightly differently than how she does them. Ignore all the 5 stars reviews she has because she writes them herself.
She will make tests the hardest she can and give little to no review for the tests. No review sheets, review sessions or practice midterms/quizzes/finals. If you miss a quiz or midterm, you can't retake it even if you're family dies. Just take any other prof.
She's very intelligent and knows her stuff, but will sometime explain/teach things in a more difficult way than it needs to be. It's extremely helpful to have previous knowledge of the material. Her tests aren't too bad, but you will have to study efficiently to get good grades. Overall she's a good prof, calculus in uni is just hard suck it up
Please please ignore the good reviews. University calculus is hard but she makes it so much harder than it has to be. She looks down on the students and takes joy in their suffering. The final is worth 50 percent of the final grade. She is unwilling to answer questions and will think you're stupid if you do not know the answer to everything.
Very tough professor. It doesn't matter if you do well on her quizzes or midterms since you must pass the final exam in order to pass the class. She appears to be quite rude during lectures and has a hostile attitude when you ask her questions.
Best professor for math 381 in uregina
Fast-paced, although she actually teaches, unlike many other U of R professors, so it feels fair. The semester became tough as it went on, and as long as you stay on top of new topics you can do decent or better.
Perfect Prof, Ignore all bad reviews.
I promise she is the best
Terrible prof. I would not recommend to take her. This class is made more difficult than it has to be for a first year class. She will make you feel dumb when you do her quizzes and midterms. Even if the class average is terrible she will not curve the grade. Ignore all of the good reviews!!
She is a good prof, unlike many profs she cares about you doing well in the course and is happy to answer questions. She motors pretty good, but gets through lots of examples. There are also no curve balls on tests as they are similar to the assignment. If you do the assignments and ask for help when needed you will succeed.
Nice prof just make sure to stay on top of things and do practice assignments
If you are a caring student, If you follow up always, it should be good. She explains the concept very well as she does many examples.
I have rated this prof multiple times but she removes most the bad reviews and writes her own good reviews. She makes an easy class way harder than it needs to be.
"I won't make the mistake of taking her class again."
1) unless you have a strong understanding of highschool calculus do not take this class, she's too knowledgeable for her own good it makes a first year class too hard. 2) assignments only hard quizzes with very few practice quizzes (one to be exact) 3) out of my 100~ original classmates only 18 stuck it out till the final
Awesome prof
Fotini's class is challenging, but engaging if you stay on top of the material. Assignments and quizzes are tough, but her explanations are clear. Supplement with resources like Unstuck ai to succeed.
Amazing professor if you show up to class and pay attention. Her teaching style consists of doing a lot of practice questions which are very helpful. Her quizzes and midterms are also very fair and a lot of the questions are very similar to the practice questions in class. It is also very useful to visit her office hours as she explains very well.
the class has soo much material, i feel like if she would let students carry their own formula sheets it'd be so easy to pass this class but she doesn't and she doesn't set easy questions either which makes the class harder cause it is easy to make mistakes
She is an amazing prof and explains all concepts really well. Granted, I did have a good grasp on the content from a previous class, but she made it easy to recall the info I had previously learned, as well as excel at the new concepts. Her grading is fair and generous. If you pay attention and do the examples she provides, you should succeed!
She is a good person who wants her students to suceed. This class is very material heavy, and her final/midterms were difficult. She does a lot of examples in class and provides a lot of practice questions which is good.
She is an amazing prof , I passed her class with 94 percent in fall 2024 she explained really well . For quiz and mid do practice her assignments properly. Finals difficulty was avg . Other than exams her lectures are superb , she is really passionate about what she teaches. Overall , whole semester was a blissful and fun .
