The best teacher i had at this school. Very helpful and funny. If you come to her office, she will always be willing to help you. 4 tests she drops one. Final is only on 3 chapters. All you need to do is show up to class, take notes, and read the book. A+

Other than that, excellent teaching - clear and concise, making the world of business the easiest thing to understand. She is polite and helpful, giving lots of practical advice in class and during her office hours; yet she knows how to establish her authority as a teacher, so disruptive High School kids will have a tough standing. She was the best teacher I had at SMC, and thanks to her, I like business :)

she was easy. i nearly failed all of her exams and i got a b in the class there is soo much extra credit for you to do that is super easy. the test are nothing like the practice exams and quizes totally different and hard very detailed questions i belive if you alply your self more then i did you will get and A. she's very sweet and i recomend her

To be honest, this class is really easy. I wasn't disappointed at how simple it was because I truly LEARNED while taking the online class. Take this class if you want to really absorb anything about business, and if you want to work at your own pace in the convenience of your room. Prof Chandler is cool too, she gives out study tips & extra credit.

This was my first time taking a business and i would recomend for everyone if you are new to economics or business to NOT take it online! You will learn way more if you take it with a lecture! But as for Professor Chandler she is AMAZING! Very understanding and she will do everything in her part to make sure you do your best in the class!

Her tests aren't easy; lots of thinking required. But if you read her comments on the discussions, she gives you al kinds hints. Yes, she's conservative butloves to argu about government and economics. This stuff isn't on the tests though. She's fun and very helpful.

She's a great teacher. Funny. Well prepared and interesting. She helped me start a business and write a business plan. I couldn't have done it without her.

Dr. Chandler is so nice and interesting to listen to. It's obvious she really likes students and wants them to do well. I can't believe I actually understand economics now and how it applies to my life. Listen carefully in this class--if she says something twice it WILL be on the test.

I took this class online. You really have to be disciplined & self-directed and do all the reading to be prepared for the exams. I liked the course outline/well organized and Prof. Chandler replies quickly to Q's & gives feedback. If you're a business major I not recommend an online class unless you have work experience.

Professor Chandler is a great teacher. She gets back to you quickly with any questions you may have. She is also very helpful when it comes to assitance with exams, assignents and helping you in any other way to succeed in the class.

Taking her 8 week online BUS 1 course and love her! She's very helpful and really seems to love and believe in her students. Her responses to questions are VERY quick and helpful. Tests are difficult and you will have to study.

She is the best! If you are new to Business take her. Four tests and a final, but if you do well on the tests you dont have to take the final. She is extremely easy to understand and passionate about the subject. I would take her again!

She is animated, knows what she is talking about, makes going to a 8am class fun, and most of all is a genuinely kind woman.If you pay attention & take good lecture notes while utilizing online material,the book is unnecessary (98% w/o book)

Take Chandler, You will not regret it. She is a very brilliant woman with a great teaching style and she is very clear about what she wants. Either read the chapter or use online presentation before class, come to class, take good notes, and study a bit before the test. Its not that big of a deal and you will be rewarded with an A and knowledge.

Professor Chandler is an awesome lady! If you are interested in the material, you should not have a hard time in her class. She is very organized and thorough with her explanation of business concepts. There are 4 open-book exams, 2 assignments that are very interesting/easy and 1 optional final if you are not satisfied with an old test score.

Professor Chandler is the best professor at SMC. She makes her lectures clear and engaging. The material is not hard to grasp and everything we learn is reflected on exams. Professor Fran Chandler is the greatest professor ever. She should be cloned so she can have all business classes at SMC.

I echo the person below who believes Professor Chandler must be cloned. If all teachers were like her, I would give up my day job and just attend school full time for the rest of my life. I took the online class for the Fall 2010 semester and it was just as rewarding as an 'on campus' class. I can't speak more highly enough - please take the class!

If you do the work you will do well in the class. She is very helpful and a wonderful teacher. She motivates the students and makes the material interesting. I wish she would teach all the business classes. Def one of the best teachers I've had.

The class is easy...if you read the text. I've had other classes where the homework and test materials were not previewed by the professor and they contained errors or ambiguity. This is not the case with Prof Chandler. She cares about the class and her students. Her communications were helpful/friendly. I earned an A and so did she in my opinion.

She is an amazing teacher. I had never taken an online class before, and I was nervous of how it would be. She is well organized and really wants to help you do well in her class. It is not an easy A, but it is definitely achievable. You have to read through every chapter before each test. She has a million review games and gives great feedback!

Loved her. The lectures were clear and interesting, she kept us thinking and entertained. All tests were previewed so we knew specifically what to go over. homework assignments were great, I enjoyed what I learned from them. I found if you attend regularly, pay attention, take notes, read the text and UTILIZE THE ONLINE CONTENT, you can do well.

I took professor chandlers online business class. I have taken a lot of online classes and this was definitly my favorite! She is a very fair teacher and lets you know exactly what to study and when due dates are. She seems to be very interested in her students and in the subject. Overall I give her a high recommendation!

The class is not over yet but I will tell you that it has been a great online course. She is very helpful and is constantly answering questions from all of her students. If you keep on the book and read the chapters you will do fine. She stresses grammar and spelling so keep your writing professional.

This was a great class. The professor's humor, online availability, and encouragement was really wonderful and engaging. I thought the use of the text book is imperative. If you do the work you will get an A. It's not an extremely difficult class, but it's no cake walk either.

Prof Chandler is crystal clear and fair with her grading. Took online class, got an A. I definitely needed the book, although there are online resources that can help. Do the assignments on time and read/understand the textbook chapters before taking the weekly tests and you'll do fine. I enjoyed the class and discovered I like the subject.

In order to succeed in this class all you must do is dedicate ample time to study and revisit those studies for test preparation. You must also participate in class discussion and appear engaged. Professor Chandler was seriously one of the best professors I have had in college. She made learning fun. The class was taught entirely online, but she sent weekly emails to keep everyone in the loop and kept everyone interested. My advice for prospective students is to read the textbook and implement all of the online tools and you will be fine.

I had her this semester for business 1, an online class. She responded to emails quickly, and was funny. The homework that she gave was so helpful in learning the material, we had written discussions with one another about the what we had learned during the past week.

I took her online class for the winter semester. I probably would not have gotten an A if she didn't curve her tests. The class is pretty difficult but interesting and she is very helpful. I liked that she left comments on every assignment and test. I highly recommend her if you are a self-disciplined and highly motivated student!

She is a very nice, funny, and enthusiastic lecturer. The class material are too much for a 6 week course, but an A is manageable. I got an A without even taking an optional exam to raise my grade. However, please note that I studied 7100 Minutes in 6 weeks to achieve an A. Take her and learn a lot. Her comments and assignments raise your morale A+

This is the first class I took online and she is the best teacher I've had. She is super helpful and friendly. She is a very fair grader and also grades all your tests on a curve which is helpful in the long run. You have to read all the chapters but the content is very interesting. I got an A so I completely recommend taking bus1 with Chandler.

A truly amazing teacher. she's extremely friendly, very chill, and loves to crack jokes (most laughs are forced of course..) Her tests are OPEN BOOK! you can use notes or the textbook, its awesome. only two projects which took me only a few hours to complete, easy to get 100 percent on both as well. final is optional if you want to raise ur grade!

What helped me: Read the book thoroughly. Made SURE I can apply different concepts to real life or history and REALLY see how it works. To sum it up, READ, UNDERSTAND, WATCH THE PRESENTATION, and YOU ARE GOLDEN. The prof was always available. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. She gives you all of the tools for success, it depends if you take advantage or not.

I really enjoyed this class. While the tests and everything relies heavily on the textbook, it was made very easy to understand by the presentations in class and a bunch of other extra activities provided on e-companion for each chapter. Professor Chandler is awesome. Great communication, very helpful, funny, and informative. The textbook is full of useful information, especially if you're major is business. No midterm, and no final if you have an A prior to the final. Read her directions, take good notes from the book, work a little bit, and you'll get that A. It worked for me!

Best class ever! These are basic skills and knowledge you need for everyday living… for getting through your life successfully. Professor Chandler is the best! Funny, thoughtful, intelligent, passionate about teaching. To prepare for the tests, use the study guides, or at least do the Pre/Post test and turn it into your own guided learning tool.

Professor Chandler is knowledgeable and enthusiastic. I asked tons of questions and she was always patient and made me even think deeper and wider. She also sent out a lot of emails to motivate students and make sure that everyone knew what was going on. She is an asset to the department and you will learn a lot from her online class.

Even though it was online she made sure everyone was doing their thing and always answered any question you threw at her. If taking online, prepare to read a lot and do the online activities. So this instructor is pretty easy. Easy meaning do the homework and do what she suggests and you will receive an "A". Her political views differ from mine greatly. She is clearly a staunch republican who does not care for our President. On that we disagree which I let be known. But I still received the A I earned which I have to respect.

The class is really easy but tedious and annoying. Wasn't as much fun as I thought because I was super excited about this subject. She is alright. She sends you emails to remind you of your deadlines. However, she's pretty condescending in her criticism on your work instead of giving constructive feedback. Wouldn't take it again.

However, he made the most of the online format and always made sure to remind us with e-mails of due dates. Occasionally he pushed back deadlines to make sure everyone could do the assignment. Overall, fair and helpful.

I absolutely LOVED her teaching style! She keeps the class challenging yet fun and you can tell that she wants you to succeed and learn the material.
