She is the greatest. She often cut you some slack. I think she understands that we have a job and kids, and so on. I would take this class all over again. It seems as if she grades hard but in the end she gives extra credit. She's also their to help anytime you need it.
she is a very nice. a really funny teacher. she likes to act silly, and although she does it doesn't mean she doesn't take her work seriously. after 3 absentces she'll drop you. take the extra credit. overall this class really helps you out. her lectures are very useful, and the essays and homework is easy.

I like her because she knows what she is talking/teaching about and I enjoyed being in the 9 week class. We do about 5-6 essays that you have to spend to Turnitin.com and Timed Writing and there are three books for this class & online work that you do 4 homework which you do on mywritinglab.com. Attendance & essays are very important.

Online class not good! Essays were ok but the way she grades is hard, if you dont have a good emglish background do not take. very vague answers when asked for help had to use online help. her lexture notes online were not helpful and she said to read book all the time book did not help. you have to teach yourself pretty much!! can be understanding

Ms.Qb is the best!! she really cares all you need to do is meet her up. be honest and she will help you as much as she can. i took her for engl 52 and 100 passed them both with a B! we even went to San francisco as a class she is great as a friend. her class is challengin but not impossible. i loved it and recommend it to anyone!

She's an excellent professor. Some essays are difficult but she notices effort. Her feedback is always helpful. Taking her class improved my writing skills. She is passionate about teaching and truly cares for her students. I absolutely recommend her!

Nicest professor I've had so far. She really cares about her students and takes time to memorizes names. Five essays including one research paper. Other assignments are textbook-related. She practically writes the essays with you in class. Dismisses class often for mandatory conferences. Going to the success center is awfully tedious.
While the worst thing about her class is the essay's for her class which only get harder and longer but she is always available to give pointers and review the drafts

Definitely a nice and well respected professor. Her grading is tough, but that's because her expectations are high and encourages everyone to write to those expectations. Honestly, if you can pass an honors English class with QB, any other English professor after that will be a piece of cake. Her writing expectations set you up for great things.

I took Dr. QB for 3 classes. English 20 during the summer, English 50 during and English 100. I passed all of her classes with an A or a B. She is an amazing professor and will work with you to improve. She can be harsh if you're not on top of your stuff. She does give DLAs to work on and a lot of homework but its to helps you improve. love her!
I took her for English 103 online summer & let me tell you she assigns a significant amount of homework. She is a very hard grader and constantly reminds students that our work was not good enough. She would send out emails daily telling us that our work was bad and we were writing like high school students. Never received at least 1 compliment

I took this professor for an online class and was extremely lazy at grading essay. The more students I reached out in class the more they told me they would receive C grades and below. Every time I would correct her feedback she'd still give a grade below C.

The work in this class isn't hard, there is just a lot of it. She gives really good feedback on all of your assignments, so take advantage of that. It's important to show up to class, or else you'll miss what she wants from you.
If you want to be successful at a university level, Dr. QB will prepare you for it. She does give a lot of work, but it is all beneficial and is always willing to help if there are any questions. She's a tough grader, but at the same time she always provides feedback on what you can improve on.
Dr. QB She is one of the best teachers at Cerritos College. If you want to learn, I recommend it. If you are lazy, do not waste your time and the professor's time. The class may seem intense, since it requires weekly reading, DLAS and some essays every two weeks. She will prepare you for other classes.

She is very clear with what she wants. For my semester of college she helped me learn more of the campus and the services it offers. She makes you go to the success center to do DLA every week. Most of those are outdated and is a waste of time. There is a lot of writing that is done in her class.

This class is extremely easy! Dr. QB has made me fall in love with literature all over again. As far as assignments go, it's a new play every week where you make 2 annotations, 2 responses to others, and a review on that play that's it! This class couldn't be any easier! Dr. QB is a sweet lady! She does give out a lot of homework and every spelling, grammar, and punctuation counts with his teacher. She leaves out comments if your work is good or needs to be fixed, so expect a lot of comments for almost every assignment. Her assignments are easy to understand and some should be fun to do.

This professor is not great or good! Almost every assignment had at least one point marked off because the question she assigned didn't ask what he wanted to see. These petty points being taken off prevented me from maintaining/receiving an A in the class

Professor is a big time NO. DONT TAKE HER CLASS-SAVE YOURSELF AND YOUR TIME. During the lectures, she will talk about irrelevant topics (because she is irrelevant) and will decide whether to have a quiz or not based on participation. Additionally, her due dates for assignments and ESSAYS are nearer than expected, so you HAVE to watch out for that.
As long as you do the assignments, follow her instructions CAREFULLY, you will get an A. I took this during a summer full-time internship, so I would say the workload is not horrible. Homework assigned almost every class, and will only check it in class. Attendance is mandatory; does not accept late homework AT ALL. Really nice, and wants you to succeed. She is very knowledgeable, but be prepared, her class is extremely challenging. She has high expectations for students and grades very strictly. You'll need to dedicate a lot of time each week to studying, completing assignments, and understanding the material in depth. Pick anyone else , responds to emails bothered, gets mad when she has to teach liken shes supposed to, talks to you like youre too slow.
This is the first time I've ever felt the need to rate a professor, and unfortunately it's because this was one of the worst class experiences I've had. The coursework is extremely heavy compared to how few points assignments are actually worth, which makes the workload feel exhausting. Please do not take her if you like having a life outside nono!
