She is a cool teacher and really helps you understand the subject matter. There is a lot of work but its worth it. I would definately recommend taking her.

She is an awesome teacher. She is young, fun and understanding. The class is not hard. I have learned a lot in the class. She really teaches you how to write amazing essays. She explains very clearly. Gets right to the point. I wrote some awesome papers that I never thougth I could start. Cute too.

She's great at explaining exactly what she wants and is there if you have any problems. some interesting class discussions and reading. not too hard to get an A or B. if you have the chance to, take her.

She always gives you clear explanations, and she goes straight to the point. Very helpful, and kind.

Great Teacher! She is always there to help her students. Will read some of the essay to help you, and spends time after class when you questions. Very nice lady, easy to talk to. Not a fun class but I took it during summer so we wrote 2 essays almost every week. Not the easiest english teacher but she is great if you want to improve you writing.

she is AWESOME! i took her during summer and it wasn't as bad as i thought it would be! it was a lot of hard work condensed down to like 5 weeks but it is so worth it if you just do the work. i got an A. she's interesting and nice! i would RECOMMEND her if you need eng 104...i enjoyed her class a lot!!! =)

Dude she's young, hot, smart and a great teacher overall. She's not like a teacher where you can sleep in class and just pass. But it's easy to get an A as long as you do your work. You become a better writer, trust me. And you learn A LOT. And she is VERY helpful! I would take her class again in a heartbeat! I recommend YOU to take her class!

Franciene is an awesome english teacher, you really learn how to write great essays. I highly recommend taking her if you want to succeed in college, whether you are an english major or not.

Fun teacher. We did a lot of interesting readings and assignments. I think in total, we did close to 10 essays during the whole semester. But don't let that intimidate you. She's still a fairly easy and fair grader when it comes to essay. And I got an A. In the end, you learn to write really good essays. Don't bother thinking twice, just take her!

Ms. Rohrbacher knows her work at perfection and really lets you express yourself through writting. She also respests her students writing, but if you are the type of person that likes to talk alot in class then i wont suggest this teacher.Moreover,she hates it when her students interupt her lectures so you better pay lots of attention in her class.

Good teacher, interesting topics, easy grading. If you enroll in this class, BE ON TIME, don't text message or be disruptive, be prepared for class... basically don't be a moron, and you'll do well. But she does expect things that some students at GCC might not have, like good English skills as well as reading, writing, analysis, comprehension.

First of all, let's get realistic. She is not an easy teacher, but I do not regret taking her class. I learned a lot. Just remember, everything suppose to be done properly, that's it! On the other hand she is the opposite of the boring. She does not put your self-esteem down, come on, just read more and listen to her lactures, you will do well:)

i took her in the summer, so it was just essay after essay. I got A's on all of my essays n i still got a B in the class. i recommend if you love english, then take her, if you hate it, then dnt. If you show her your rough draft, she'll read over it n tell you what to fix. Not too hard of a class, but a lot of work. I wouldnt take her again.

Professor Rohrbacher understands how to teach the subject. She is a great person and is willing to help you outside the class. Her class consisted of 4-5 essays. They were all short, but were meant to familiarize us with the different writing styles she placed emphasis on in the class. If you really want to learn how to write well, take her class!

This is the most wonderful class!!! I hope that I can take her class once more. She is hot :D --- and then her assignment was easy. Just look at the information, arrange them in order (ask her if you do not know) and you will get an A. I highly recommend tis class. She doesn't accept late assignment. Good luck!!! One more, her class is funny then.

Oh my god I LOVEEEE HERRRR!!! She is awesome and sweet. She is extremely helpful and loves the ones who make an effort of coming to her class and doing the assignments. She is very clear and easy with all her assignments. She helps a lot and she even makes exceptions when you have a realistic excuse. She is good Take her and you wont regret it!

She is a very good teacher, though sometimes gets lenient about having too many quotations on an essay. She appreciates opinion, industry, & writing talent. Class is always amusing, but she is frank about wanting students to be serious about their work. No louts here. Participate so she'll see your effort outside essay-writing. Highly recommended.

Rohrbacher was great. She wants you to show up everyday which shouldn't be a surprise. She teaches clearly and states what it takes to get an A. Show up and CONTRIBUTE in class, turn your work in and you will get a good grade. If you want to skate through in an easy class, don't take her. If you want to learn (duh, this is COLLEGE) take her.

She is great at what she does. She knows her stuff. If you have done well in your past english classes, you will do fine in this one. Just work hard and you will get an A.

shes an amazing teacher. shes really strict and kinda hard but a realllly good teacher. she helps you out a lot. she goes over everyones papers with them before its due which helps your grade a lot. she doesnt like people with attitude and will kick you out. if you go by her rules and do what she asks she will love you.

Excellent teacher; engaging topics for essays and offers great source materials. Very strict about attendance and being on time. Will not accept late assignments, not even twenty-minutes after class starts. Class was extremely difficult for ESL students. Recommend taking all ENG prep classes first. Don't recommend 6 week version. Intense.

i actually received a great grade, its the ones that didn't even participate that got a bad grade =/ aw well. Shes a great teacher, always there for me when I needed help, and some of her assignments are hard/confusing but if you put in the time and go see her she'll help. There's no final, only a mid term and i think there were 4 essays.

She's a good teacher. Does not like people being late and will ding you if your assignment is not on her desk before class starts. Toward the end of the semester, the class was getting a little boring, otherwise it was good. Lots of reading and writing (essays, responses). Mid-term & final are in-class essays in the lab. Not a hard class.

Great teacher, very clear with instructions, strict but caring person, If you work hard and follow the rules yo will pass 100% Just one thing I don't like is that home works she collects must be on time, I mean if you are late 2 minutes or so from class she won't take your homework so she made everybody run.

She played favorites with certain students in the class, and they received the higher grades. I have to agree with this person, she grades unfairly.

If you want to text in class, turn your half-assed papers in late, or read, "My Pet Goat", find someone else. If you want to think and learn some cool and relevant stuff, take her class!

DUde, she is a great teacher. Her only flaw is that she doesn't help much with essays, you have to be well prepared on essay structure, and thesis statements. She focuses on that. You cant turn in stuff late. Turn off ur cellphones!!!! She's a MILF!!! :D

She is a good english teacher. Follow her rules and you'll do well. Don't over complicate your essays with big words. simplicity and clarity is key. and participation of course. she doesn't require a lot of books too which is great.

If you know how to write a proper MLA paper you'll do fine. Her class is really easy if you listen to everything she says and how she wants it. She always missed class and she was soooooooo chiillll.

She is the most understanding, person you'll ever meet.Shes laid back, but still get's her work done. I use to hate English before I had her, she truly is an amazing indvidual and you do have to work, but she teaches so clearly and makes you understand that you love just being in her class. She now teaches the specific area of healthcare issues, and her topics for discussion are more philosophical than medical. Very nice person, talks very clear. If you listen to her, you will know what to write in her in-class essays. Btw, she cancelled one of them because we were behind the schedule! Also had 2 at home essays and a research paper

I took it w/emphasis in healthcare. Amazing teacher! Discussions are great with her. Do the essays, don't slack on them and read the material. Books are CHEAP for this class. I got an A, just do all assignments, listen to discussions & you'll do great!

I loved her class!!!! I took her during the summer, everything was super quick. Had 2 in class essays about 2 1/2 pages and 2 take home papers that were 4 pages and a research paper which was 10 pages. Gotta tell you, best teacher ever! She's not hard. Just do everything she asks and you'll get an A ;-)

Very chill teacher. Her essay topics are straight up with no confusion. If you want to do better on your essays, visit her office hours, she loves it when you drop by and show an essay ahead of time. She will even read and make notes on your essay during office hours and if you follow her notes you will get an A on the essay.

Really cool teacher, essay topics are not too bad and pretty simple!! have to do a 8 page research paper at end of the semester witch is like 40% of your grade!

She is hands down one of the best English teachers I've ever had. You have to work hard for your grade but as long as you attend the classes and show you are committed she will help you out. Our class was with emphasis in healthcare and her discussions are so interesting and helpful.

She made a summer class really fun, her topics a very interesting and you actually want to listen and participate. Just follow her guidelines for how to write the papers and the in-class writings and you'll get an A.

She was a very easy and simple teacher that had a different take on a subject that made it more engaging. At first i disliked the class a lot but as I got adjusted to her style it became a fun class with easy work. She has her stances but overall I recommend for a good teacher and a breezy class.

Even though her curriculum is kind of strict, she's helpful when it comes down to it. We only have to do 2 in-class/out of class essays and a final research paper. In-class papers= 10%, out of class papers= 15% and the final paper=50% Do all of them! They aren't hard, but read the book and you'll be fine.

This was a class that at first I really disliked and thought it was a huge mistake to take. However as the year goes on the class becomes engaging and fun due to the different material covered. The medical based theme is a refreshing one bringing a different spectrum of topics and what not. Highly recommend her she's super nice and flexible!

She is a great teacher! Do not expect an easy A though. The in class essays are easy and she grades them easy. Her out of class essays you have to put work into them if you want a good grade on them. She is an overall great teacher the only reason why I didn't pass was because I was absent and she dropped me. You must attend class to pass.

I went from totally clueless about writing into being able to write a research paper at the end of the semester. That is how great she is! :) No final, just 2 in class essays, 2 out of class essays and one final research paper, a lot less workload than some other professors out there. She helps a lot with your work, so just show up, do your work!

I really enjoyed Ms. R's class. She is very specific on what she looks for in her papers which was great. Homeworks are to read, and it's heavy reading but the books she assigned I found interesting. Highly recommend her.

Didn't know this class was about health care when I took it. Wanted to drop but SO GLAD I didn't bc she's freaking amazing. She knows what she's talking about and she gives the most interesting books to read. I actually enjoyed reading the books. Very fair grader and she's so helpful. One thing I really liked about her was the clarity she would provide in what she wanted for her assignments. She makes sure everyone understands what she wants the essays to be like and always offers help. Her research paper stressed me out a little but she will help you through it. TAKE HER.

I came into the class unaware of its focus on healthcare. Though I was not really interested in the topic, books assigned though lengthy, were interesting reads. In order to pass this class with a decent grade, be prepared to work for it. Essays are straightforward. Rohrbacher is a great professor and will help you if needed. Definitely recommend!

okay let me start off saying that she is an amazing teacher. she is really clear about what she wants us to write on the essays and she is not very picky. I would totally recommend her. I took this class during winter btw.

she's a good professor that will help you if you need it. Ask as many questions as possible and she will answer them all. But, be prepare to read and write essays because she is very hard grader. I would say take her at winter that's the best time because she goes easy on you.

This lady knows what she is doing. Syllabus is very organized. She tells you exactly what she wants and expects. As a result, it should be easy to earn the grade you deserve. Her feedback is amazing, you always know how to do better. I highly recommend taking her.

The ideal English professor - gives very clear guidelines and the books she assigns are interesting and thought-provoking. Not a tough grader but you have to put the effort in of course, and thankfully she requires multiple due dates unlike other college profs, so you never have an opportunity to procrastinate much. Take her class!!!

The most kindhearted professorteacher that I've had. By far my favorite professor at this whole school. She is very thorough about what she wants on her essays, goes over everything till it's instilled in your brain. If you need a eng101 take it with her shes the best.

She's the best English teacher, she goes over her grading requirements repeatedly so there is no excuse not to get an A. Her Eng 101 class has an emphasis in healthcare so if you're already interested in that field you'll enjoy her reading requirements. I took English 101 that focused on health care. We read many health-related articles and wrote essays in APA format. The rubric is very straight forward. For the essays go straight to the point and don't add in too much opinions. You can email her or go to her office hours for help anytime. Highly recommend professor Rohrbacher.

Very interesting class based on health-care & even if u r not going into that field it's still interesting. She assigns 2 outside essays and 2 in class and gives you the topic for the in class ones so you know what to write about prior. She helped us A LOT with the RP and graded all essays VERY NICELY! I wish she taught english 102!

I thoroughly enjoyed this class and I strongly recommend that y'all take it. Francien is one of the most passionate, knowledgeable and professional professors I have met. Expect to do plenty of reading, writing and discussing on issues in healthcare. This class is challenging but very rewarding. If you're not a good writer, then steer clear.

This professor was the best! You read 2 pretty easy books. I'm not much of an English person, but Prof Rohrbacher made it easy. I got 100% on all my essays (in class and take home). I would advise you to format the essays EXACTLY how she wants in APA format. No reason to get anything less than an A. Just do your work. She doesn't even assign much.

She's the best! I generally like English so the class was fun for me. You read two fairly interesting books, have two in class essays, two assigned essays, and a research paper. No final! She is incredibly caring and wants to make sure you're on the right track. Highly recommended if you're willing to put in the effort.

AMAZING prof!!! I didn't realize that the english class I took with her had a emphasis in medical care. We had to do a 8-10 page research paper about something in the medical field and I was pretty nervous. She made the whole thing seem so easy and was always there either in person or through email if office hours were inconvenient to help us out.

summer session is a bit fast paced. If you keep up with the reading, the load isn't bad & the essays aren't too difficult. She's an easy grader if you put forth your best effort, show you've done the reading, & follow her instructions. She gives great feedback & if you follow her instructions, you'll pass. This is one of those teachers you'll always remember. She cares so much about her students, and truly wants everyone to learn. Old school grading style, no online work or canvas use. Class discussions and lectures were the best part of this class. She has so much knowledge, and cares about effort. Do the readings, and essay and you'll get an A.

Professor Rohrbacker is one of the best professors I have had in GCC so far. I took her class during Winter semester and it was a lot of work during the short semester but because of the clear guidelines and her willingness to help all her students the class wasn't as hard as it could be.

Promise me when I say I recommend this professor MORE THAN ANYTHING. Shesliterally the nicest person Ive met in my life. She has such a radiating energy which will make you succeed in the class without noticing. Iliterallydont have enough space to write how much I loved her and her class. The assignments were a breeze. Im not majoring in something related to healthcare, but I still really loved the books assigned and learned a lot from them. Pretty easy A, just take advantage of profs office hours and shes always willing to give feedback.

Medicine theme for this class but you dont need any knowledge or even want to go into medicine just pure curiosity for healthcare. Lectures are recorded, she responds to every email, very organized, will extend due dates, roll is taken, class is discussion based (not required to participate) Very caring & inspiring do yourself a favor and take her

Prof Rohrbacher is one of the best profs I've had at GCC -- I cannot recommend her enough. She is super kind and genuinely wants to help students and see them succeed in her class. Class is themed around health FYI. My major isn't related to health or medicine at all, but I still really enjoyed and learned a lot from the readings we were assigned.

Professor Rohrbacher is an amazing and caring professor. She is incredibly supportive and genuinely cares to see you succeed. There is a medical theme for the class, which I found very interesting. She has a workshop for every essay to give you direct feedback. Overall, she is one of the best Professors EVER and you won't regret taking her class!

She is the most amazing Professor and also person that I know. She cares for students and makes everything to help to you understand. There are many essays and also final project is 8 pages long but she is helping with everything. If you do some work there is no chance to fail. She is not teaching English 102 if she was I would definitely pick her.

Franciene (she prefers first name which is cool) is a super fun, enthusiastic, and kind professor! Some important info: homework is manageable, essays take the place of tests and are a huge part of the grade, and the final was a huge research paper. My favorite thing was the low textbook cost and the medical theme, perfect for pre-med students!

Professor Rohrbacker's ENG101 is challenging but rewarding. The medical theme is engaging, and she provides great feedback to help you succeed. unstuck AI was a lifesaver for preparing the research papers.

Professor R is a very thorough, comprehensive, and fun teacher. She takes time to answer questions during class, over messages, and office hours if needed.
