A horrible teacher, you may as well just read the textbook instead.

The course sucks, but shes OK. I've had worse... I love the accent.
Good teacher. Gives lots of examples, stives for you to understand the concepts. Exams are fair and similar to homework questions. Very helpful in office hours. Great accent and sense of humour.

Worst Teacher I've ever had, late for every single class,every class will run ten minutes over time, average on every test has been under 55%, puts herself before you, see's teaching as a duty, don't get on her hit list.
Super-de-duperty, factorize and "beautiful curves". Get used to hearing that. She's funny, sexy accent, not a great teacher, accent makes it a bit difficult to understand. Mid-term is ok if you do all the homework.
The worst prof I have had at Laurier. Did not care if you didn't learn. Her lectures were boring, and I went as much as I could. When I could understand her, her lectures didn't even make sense.

BEAST! every question is the BEAST! (u'll get to know the beast) Whoever wrote the curves comment...um eww she's 60.
Honestly this prof is really great. She comes into class every day with an amazing amount of energy because she knows calc can get dry. She throws in jokes that people make fun of but everyone knows it keeps the class light. She's also extremely helpful and has LOADS of office hours.
All i know is Im going to be redoing calc next sem because i cant understand when shes talking about the "beasts" on the board. Worst teacher ever! You cant understand what she says, shes a ****, worst ever... (she did want us to succees though, that her only plus)
omg, i hated every minute of it. I think it was more the course than her though. However, she is always late, the class does always go 10 minutes over (you have to run to your next class)and beware of Yabba Dabba Doo!

I hate how she is soo repetitive and writes so small, unclearly and fast. She made me confused with stuff that I already knew before coming into the course. The accent is a bit unbearable and I can't believe she thinks that she gives good lectures. *Yawn*
as bad as it gets. always mad, in a bad mood. what are you so mad at? you're a university professor, do you want to work in a factory? just flat out mad at the world. DO NOT ask her questions (despite what she says) she will be ver mean to you (will say you should know it, you havent been studying).

DO NOT TAKE ANY CLASS WITH HER!! the toughest finalz and midterms i have ever seen. Wants u to fail. She does try to explain stuff but goes way too fast. Her explanations actually confused me. Always takes up extra time at the end. I ended up with a B in her class whereas my friend got an A+ with an

Get out while you still can...She will fail everyone and won't curve. It's not her fault the average is 30%, 300 students clearly aren't doing their homework (sarcasm...incase you didn't pick it up). Her teaching style is horrible...'remove pink to planet u, then beautify the monster!'...

Worst professor ever, class average on the midterm was in the 30s and she blamed it on us. It's a wonder she's still teaching, she obviously doesn't do a very good job. If you ever have her, drop the course before you start.
Class average was 34%, she blamed it on the students?? refused to bell curve?? we finally got a retake at the last second but it was prolly cuz the business department forced her. Totally unfair prof, changed the way the program was from the semester before making it so much harder for us. I might have to drop out just because of her.

HORRIBLE PROFESSOR... DESERVES TO BE FIRED. Words can't describe how horrible she is. Simple one of the worst teaching "professionals" I've ever had the misfortune of being subjected to. An absolute insult to the school, incompetent on every level imaginable. I ended up having to take the course in the summer time like many others... Thank you BCOU.
The worst prof to ever teach a class. When the average is 30% and ALOT have to retake it in the summer-there is a PROBLEM! When they take what semester you took calc in consideration for maintaining averages-something isnt right. She was confusing and lecture was****. DROP CALC IF YOU HAVE HER-save money and take BCOU or go 2 another section!!!
She tries hard but it is so hard to catch what she want to express
She has a very strange accent, and loves words like "super de dooper" and "yabba dabba do"
I had her for linear algebra and she was BRUTAL. She talked about some "Planet M" that confused me, so I pretty much quit taking the course, especially after the average was 40% for our first midterm. You know you are a terrible teacher when over half the class fails and are forced to retake it later.

What is SHE doing teaching Math at Laurier? They must be desperate for Math professors. Who can understand her? What a waste of money and time! But hey, if you have no other choice...
Not the best prof... One thing I hated was how she removed online resources from ALL the students because SOME students didn't attend class. By resources I mostly mean lecture notes. It was very difficult to follow the notes at her pace, so I appreciated the online notes she had uploaded for a while. Also didn't prepare you enough for exam.

She's honestly not bad.. her jokes even grow on you after awhile. She explains the concepts adequately enough, and she although tends to run late, I enjoyed the course
She wasn't as bad as everyone made her out to be - I think a lot of people just blamed a really hard course on her accent and eccentric teaching style... avoid the course, but not necessarily the prof - if you have her you're in for some good stories... YABBA DABBA DOO!
not the best.. lectures are boring and unclear, better just to read the textbook. i dunno im not going to bash her or anything but as you can see alot of people don't exactly favour her. her midterms/tests were ridiculously difficult. not recommended, sorry.
"Super-de-duperty" and "Let's do some mooore" are some of my favourite phrases. I thought she was funny and she gave lots of examples. The late to class and keeping us late was annoying. I found that if I did all the homework after her lectures I had a good grasp of everything. She did not, however, write our exam, so I can't comment on that.
Terrible class, terrible professor. Why is she still allowed to teach when sooo many people don't like her? Over 50 ratings on here and most tell how terrible she is, isn't that a clue as to what she's like?
She scares the heck out of me. Went to class just to be entertained by her phrases (let's just say i got my tuitions worth). Favourites include:Let's Focterize Thees Beast and If you don't want to listen zen get zee heell aaaut of zees class.

she can't teach...I attend Stoica's lectures because she's much better than this lady...she goes way too fast and doesn't give a crap if you don't understand...horibble teacher...don't friggin take her class...seriously, if you wanna pass, take it with another teacher...material is super easy when you have a descent teacher to teach it...horibble..
Prety good professor. Knew her stuff. Always had funny sayings. It is a easy course first of all, but even if you didnt understand her definitions, she went through 100s of examples so it made it really clear.
Was not very clear, annoying at times, she did not care to answer many questions, not a very good prof to have, rushed through the material. She is funny though "Kill that cell phone!".haha

Probably the worst Prof i have ever had. It is incredibly painful to sit through her lectures rambling on about "dis beast and yaba daba doo whatever". Also Puts a lot of trick questions on exams, that seem stupid and irrelevant
Sometimes hard to understand, moves very quickly. However, she wants her students to do very well. She's always very helpful, and has tons of office hours. Good prof.

Very nice and helpful during office hours if you need help. She's also hottt, with an amazing French accent (which makes it difficult to follow though)!
Marks exams toughly, process worth more than the result, but I guess that's the point of this course. French accent, but I had no problem understanding her. Interesting during lectures.
This class was terrifying. She sped through the material and needlessly complicated it. She said at the beginning that her class always has the lowest marks because nobody goes to class. But I later found out why. Everyone started attending a different professor's lecture even sitting in the aisles just to avoid her class. I became one of them.
She is the definition of a bad teacher. She takes easy concepts which I already understand beforehand and makes them so complicated that their is no point in even listening to her because your comprehension of the material will actually decrease. She has a lot of enthusiasm, but she is just plain terrible at what she does.
Can't understand her. Makes numerous mistakes in her examples. You learn more from MathXL and the labs. Went into the final with an A+, came out of the exam with a C. She claimed that because she couldn't easily do a certain problem in her head and I hadn't show enough work on that question I must have cheated on the entire exam and gave me a 0.

Extremely inconsistent teaching style. She regularly completes 10 minute long examples and then erases it because it's wrong. If a student was late to her lecture she centred them out to the entire class. Did I mention she was late to every single class? She is not an efficient University teacher.
She is a good professor, the midterm was almost identical to homework questions, she drops hints for the final, so it is important to go to class. She helps students and is understanding. Do your homework, pay attention and you're good.
For calculus, she did a fine job lecturing, and was friendly. She does make a lot of mistakes on the board / in examples though.

Thick accent. Hard to understand. Made many mistakes in her examples on the board. There were multiple LAN parties in her class while she was attempting to teach (despite her attempts to stop them). Will attempt to fail you if you show that you can do something that she can't (like doing differentiation in your head).
She can be hard to understand at times but is very passionate and helpful.
Taking this course for the second time with her. I dropped it the first time around, I found her to be really quick with explanations and made many mistakes during examples. Second time around much better, much easier also taking it in the summer, she is much more laid back during lectures. Also, very helpful if you go for one one one help.
Occasionally makes mistakes when doing practice problems on the board, is not always clear and can sometimes seem condescending. That being said, she really wants you to do well but you have to show that you are willing to put the work in for that A+. She's more helpful one on one than in lecture. Not as bad as everyone says.
She is the worst teacher. She is always late for class. She isn't interactive. She always makes mistakes in examples. She wastes time in class yelling at any student even whispering. She isn't clear, her lectures have no logical flow. She is incredibly inconsistent and forgetful. You have to learn the entire course by yourself.
Always shows up to class late, at first its really hard to understand her through her accent and she growls at people during class. She's an absolute nutcase, I highly recommend not taking her class.
Failed the class the first time. Retook it this year and passed. She does read these reviews. Very strict prof, but means well. Her lectures are pretty tough to follow. She often skips steps making it more difficult than necessary. She is super nice 1 on 1 though. Really does want you to succeed! Keep up with homework or you won't stand a chance.
Dr. Vinette was such a great pro. She was super funny and always used silly analogies to describe math like "clouds" or flowers. Her accent was tricky at first but you get use to it. the midterm was fair but the exam was very very challenging and the 5% test was also too challenging. Overall if you wok hard, you can pass and do semi well:)

Not as bad of a prof as everyone says. It's a very tough course though. If you go to class and do the assigned homework you'll survive. Final exam was a huge grade dropper. But as a prof she teaches the material well.
Francine explains things really well and she is always there for you if you need extra help. She is an amazing professor.
Top 2 profs ive ever had in waterloolaurier, the other being my calc 2 prof.

Terrible. The assignments are extremely difficult and marks are taken for no reason. The course is much harder than its in-person counterpart for no reason as well. The course notes she provides are also much worse than the in-person. She is also rude and unhelpful.
