Hands down easiest professor ever
It may say Anthro but it's really history, his class is awesome. This dude looks like a Viking and has passion when he talks about them. Take this class
He is a pretty cool teacher. He curses in class and cracks jokes. He gives pop quizzes on chapters but he doesn't do them often. Not writing intensive and the midterm and final are only about 25 questions.
awesome guy. genuinely enjoys his subject. VERY lenient with deadlines. He's one of those teachers thst truly WANT you to do well!
He is the best. He is good professor, good person and very professional. Easy exam, will give a review sheet before the exam. All questions are from there. Nice course to increase your GPA. Take him, you will like it.
Funny as hell...and class was really interesting. Two exams, one paper and one assignment...thats all. Reminds me of why I love anthro professors again, full of life.
AMAZING
One word: BRILLIANT!
Overall, it was a pretty easy class that you can get an A. I would recommend attending each class because he does take attendance.Class consists of 1 paper, 1 map assignment, midterm & final. The paper is only 2-3pgs, map assignment takes no more than an hour & review sheet for mid-term and final. A nice guy & interesting class.
This class can be extremely easy if you pay attention, attend lectures, and do all his assignments. He is not there to perfect you but to make sure you know the material. Loved it!
THE BEST!!this guy is too funny. I suggest you attend class pay attention and study his midterm and final review. Very easy class if you pay attention
This guy is AMAZING! I actually MISS getting up for a 7:45am class with him, and I love my sleep! He's there to teach and to help, NOT to be a hard-ass. Study the review sheets and listen in class and you'll be fine. He is HILARIOUS. Definitely one of the top professors I've ever had.
One map assignment, a 3 page research paper and a mind term and final. He gives review sheets and goes over in class! Overall really good professor!
Really convincing , and invested
1 map assignment, unannounced quizzes, 1 research paper. Hands out Review Sheets for Exams. Must attend lecture to get a better understanding of the slides he posts on Blackboard. The professor is very laid back.
mid-term,final, un-announced quizzes and a map assignment and library assignment that is all it takes to get "A". he makes lectures very interesting. gives out review sheet for exams and his grading policy is very transparent. i def recommend to take his class.
Frank is an amazing professor, I've also taken his 103 class and it just keeps getting better. He's very straightforward when it comes to grading and he is always there to answer questions related to the class and any other thing you may have questions about. Take his class! You won't regret it!
HE IS THE BEST. if you dont get an A in his class you are literally stupid. Map Assignment super easy midtermfinal straightforward definitions and multiple choice, quizzes, Journal article review, plus he even lets you get points back for the tests. he makes the lectures really fun (jokes, curses, references GEEK things Hobbitlord of the rings)
Frank is very laid back. The class is not hard but the lectures can be quite boring. You can definitely do well in the class without even coming.
Great Prof, he is great for 103 also. Only 1 paper for the class, 10-12 pages. Worth 50%. The rest of the grading rubric was class participation and presentations on the paper. He isn't a difficult grader. Its easy to get a 5050 on the paper. Nice guy, very easy going in class. Really enjoyable class to take.
prof is really amazing, he knows his work in and out, and is very passionate about archaeology, i really enjoyed this class and really looked forward to it. i took it during summer session, he gave quizzes everyday which were very simple, one map assignment , 1 short paper, easy class,i promise you will love him, we need more prof like him.:)
I took his class during the summer so there was no midterm or final exam. All we had to do was 2 projects and most of our grade consisted of pop quizzes which were no more than 5 questions I like how he gives you the opportunity to approve your grade because he dropped the two lowest grades on the quiz. Awesome teacher. Take his class!
Great, funny professor. Very passionate about his work and makes boring material bearable. He posts powerpoints of all lectures, but if you don't go to class you miss his quizzes which make up a good portion of your grade. He gives review sheets for the midterm and final and if you study exactly what's on it you'll get 100's.
ez class, one midterm, one final, about 8 pop quizzes, one map assignment and one library assignment. all are really ez to got the point, give you a review sheet for midterm and final just study the review sheet, you will go very good. and the pop quizzes is super ez, don't be scare because of "pop". take it if you need the science requirement
I loved this class co much! The 5 library essays may seem daunting at first but you'll get the hang of the format. The exams cover only a small cross-section of the material; If you study, and memorize the required definitions from the review sheet you'll do well. Although participation isn't required, he really appreciates interest in the class.
Just a fantastic and super down to Earth professor. He's one of us. Super interesting material made even more interesting by his method and teaching style. Pity he's not giving any other classes this semester
He's a nice guy but won't take any talking in class, he'll call you right out in front of everyone. The material is boooooring but easy to grasp. Tests are short, multiple choice. Overall, it's pretty hard to do poorly in this class.
Super cool guy. makes the class very simple and gives you all the resources to get an easy A. also super funny.
-He is excellent! His lectures are clear & well-presented. He answers all questions with insight. Plus, he is HILARIOUS. He curses a lot and his jokes r lit. -He really explains everything in detail. -Review sheets are given & are your guides to doing really well. -Quizzes-easy-read ur notes & grades easily. -PPTs are posted on BB. -TAKE HIM!
-NICE! -CLEAR! -EASY! -INTERESTING CLASS!
The topic can be a drag- esp if you're not an anthro major. His voice is very soothing and put me to sleep within 10 min of every class. Attendance is mandatory and he gives pop quizzes (easy). Very straight to the point and exams are fair. He can be funny at times, but I was asleep most of the time so i'm not sure about his lecturing style. TAKE!
Feeley is one of the best professors you'll have on campus, he's super chill. He posts all the presentations on blackboard, get to class on time or else there's a good chance you'll miss a pop quiz (he gives about 7 and they count for 50% of your grade, he drops the lowest 2) and he prepares study guides for tests. Overall great teacher.
Francis is a funny easy going teacher and the class is exactly the same. It's impossible to not do well unless you don't use the study sheet that he provides before the test. Material is easy and all the information that you need to know are on the power points. There are some "pop quizzes" but he gives hints for them anyways. Take him! He's great.
I took Anthro 249 (Vikings ) with Professor Feeley in Fall 2012 and he was really nice. He gave 2 pop quizzes and 2 response papers and a final that weren't hard. He is available for help in his office if you want feedback for papers. His work load wasn't heavy because there were only 5 students in the class at that time.
Easy A type of class. You should go to the lectures because he does pop quizes. They aren't difficult. His tests are easy.
Great teacher, he posts the slides on Blackboard but show up to class & write notes. Gives review sheets and drops the lowest scores. Tests straight off the review sheet and easy. Quizzes were announced. He's got some dry humor but HIGHLY recommend
Funny and very great at explaining! There's no pressure to study or memorize things bc all three exams are on Blackboard & they're the sole source of your grade for the semester. Just be sure to show up and take great notes because he talks about a LOT more than is in the PPTs and you can use them for exams. I really love the class!
He takes attendance at beginning of the class with attendance sheet, so some students leave the class after writing their name. Professor doesnt care attendance and participation since therere no Assignments and extra credit projects for studen. He sees only the result of Online Exams. 1st and 2nd exams for each 33points, and final for 34points.
As a freshman taking 6 classes, taking Frank was a breath of fresh air. Come to class, write down the notes on the slides (which are on blackboard) as well as jot down any important details he says. There are a few readings here and there, but not terrible. Tests are on blackboard, are MC and is open book. Couldnt reccoment Frank enough
The class in mostly lecture. Almost no work. We had four articles to read over the course of the semester. Tests were done online with your notes open. And he posts his slides from class online. Super easy class. He's kinda funny. I recommend taking this class
Liked his lectures. Went everyday. But he screwed us with the final. It wasn't hard but the problem was he made questions with his own words and it was very confusing. He should have double checked his questions before testing us. Class material was very easy.
Liked him at the beginning. His 3 online tests are worth each 33% of your grade, so if you screw up one, essentially your grade is done. And with these online tests, if you make a mistake on a question, you can't go back and change your answer. Doesn't phrase his test questions in a comprehensible way. Posts powerpoints that only contain pictures.
Does not even tell students his grading policy. 3 online multiple choice exams, (you won't find the answers on Google for those who would do that). Take good notes but even that might not help SINCE he phrases the questions in his own words and confuses people to the max. If you mess up 1 exam, your grade is FINISHED. No extra credit, no curve.
Doesn't allow any talking in class or technology. Class is based off of 3 online tests. First test is easy because answers are on the power point notes he gives. The other two are ridiculous. The answers arent in his lectures, on google, nor his power points which after the first test are 99% just pictures, as if that helps at all. Lucky to get a B
Class was not interesting and exams were so difficult even though they were online.. We had to take notes, because he tried something new where we didn't get the lectures
Nice and funny guy
I see some people complaining that he doesn't allow laptops or talking in his class. this is college- can you really not survive without chatting to your friend while people are trying to learn? did you forget how to use a pencil and paper? give me a break. this is the easiest class at QC.
Great guy! He's super carefree with his students. No HW, No essays, one midterm, one final which are both online. He uses his own material for creating the test SO DON'T MISS CLASS A LOT. Google will not help that much. He has a few rules- like no technology. I hated that because I type faster than I write, plus I'm more organized with my laptop.
Your grade is only based on the midterm and the final. He offered one extra credit assignment worth 3 points on your overall average. Both tests are online, so it is easy to pass, but the answers are NOT on quizlet. You must go to class or else he will make you take the final in class. Also if you don't go to class you won't pass either test.
his tests ARE really HARD and unfair. He has to make them easier because they make no sense.
Great professor, his exams are based on exactly what he taught in class. There are no surprises. He gives a clear grading criteria and he's always willing to answer any questions. You're not allowed to use a laptop to take notes and he doesn't post his slides but that's not a big deal. Go to class, take notes, easy A!
Grab him bottle of diet coke, it will do you wonders.
There is one midterm, and final. My biggest issue with this course was that the midterm was fairly easy and simple if you study (got an 88), however, the final was online and extremely difficult. (failed the final). There were barely any questions from the review sheet and he worded the questions in such a weird way.
Second time I'm taking this professor (had him for Anth 103) and I enjoyed this Viking/Norse class. Most of class is taking notes off of the lecture and he posts a (graded) study guide for the midterm and final. There was also a 4-5 page paper and fun zine project.
main issue with this class is he doesnt let you have your laptop out but also doesnt post slides, so you really have to write everythng down which is annoying. hes a really nice guy and doesnt assign to much work though. hes pretty funny too and his lectures can be entertaining
loved him! interesting class. 1hr15min class, you'll survive without laptop/phone. just copy down his slides (doesnt post). at the end of his lecture every so often he gives u a list of terms. gather those terms up cuz thats what you're studying for the midterm, its based on that. easy! gives u articles that u have to write summaries on (250 words)
Took him form Fall '19 and honestly was not bad. He's a great professor and all but i couldn't help falling asleep in every class. And he allows for questions but it wasn't as engaging you know? He's pretty cool and funny and a straight forward guy. You have to put in some work which is like little readings he gives every other week or so. Not bad
AMAZING! This class is an easy A. Some short summaries for HW over the semester, midterm and final both short- all multiple choice. He doesn't post slides on BB, but he gives vocab terms for each sections which is what the tests are based on. A hilarious guy who keeps lectures interesting, and is very passionate about his work Highly recommend!!!!!
He's amazing. He's funny, tells interesting life stories regarding his field but in a way that enhances the lecture rather than just talking about himself all the time. He gives 250 word summary articles hw which are all very easy and take no time. 2 very simple exams on terms he posts at the end of slides. Attend the lectures and you'll be golden
Prof Feeley was the easiest to take this year. The only hw is to summarize articles. He post terms you should know for the midterm/ final at the end of his lectures. Sometimes he let us out before class was over. He can be hilarious sometimes. Id personally recommend this class to freshmen students Bc it is an easy A if you put in effort.
Tells you exactly what he expects and grades you base on it .
SUPER funny teacher!!! cracked me up. super fair too. easy A
Just as everyone mentioned this class is an easy A. Also one of the first classes so far in college that actually made me excited to go to class. But as my luck would have it we ended up taking the class online because of covid. Even then he was fair and helped us a lot. Anyways I highly recommend that you take this professor!
Professor Feeley is very good at what he does and he's passionate about his work. He is very easy going and does not demand very much. All you need to do to pass is do the weekly summeries (250 words) and do well on his midterm and final which have 25 questions.
Great professor! Highly recommended!
great prof. make sure to take good notes
Took this class & learned so much. Class was in person until covid hit. Def recommend him! Laptops & phones are not allowed in class he will ask you to put them away. No textbook, gave us articles to read & summarize. Online class was great as well. No zoom, he has podcasts which were perfect for us essential workers!
Took him in Fall 2019. Electronics aren't allowed. He's really funny and loves making people laugh. He has a lot of experience in the field and will talk about the places he's been to. You have to read and summarize articles. Tests are multiple choice and are pretty easy if you pay attention.
The lectures are important, take good notes because he does use the lectures on quizzes.
Amazing professor! Had to read 10 different articles and then write a 250 word summary of them and there was a midterm and a final. Lectures and articles are interesting.
Awesome professor & online lectures. Requirements: 10 summaries (250 words min each) based on readings he provided. Midterm & Final - 25 questions each based on lectures. Take good notes & you will pass! He's VERY accessible via BB. Very engaging & enjoyable class - makes you want to become an archaeologist.
Great professor. Even though he's a bit strict about his rules and regulations, his quite nice and funny sometimes. His lectures are very interesting and you have to note them for midterms and finals. He gives readings on which you have to write summeries. All of them are quite interesting. Take your notes and do the work and you'll do great!
Excellent professor, wish I had him in person and not in a three week, online, summer class! Everything the other people said about 10 summaries and a midterm and final is true. Take this class and sit back and enjoy!, very straightforward and different probably than anything you have taken, super interesting!!!
BEST PROFESSOR! So funny and very caring! He is really understanding and hands down one of the most funniest professors I've ever had. All we had was 10 quick summaries and a midterm and final. If you listen and just take the notes you will do fine and honestly just take him!!!! One of the best!!!
He is so good at teaching. A funny guy and communicate well with students. Highly recommended!
His class is best and I love this professor a lot!!
Just show up to class and take notes and you are guaranteed to pass. The homework he gives you are just summary's. Both midterm and final are online. He is the funniest professor and has such a passion for teaching!
Prof Feeley is passionate about this subject & you will learn a lot. He is fair, responds quickly to emails, but you must come to class & take notes if you want to do well. Just show up, take notes, enjoy the lectures & this fascinating topic. Feel free to reach out to him if you encounter issues, he was understanding when I ran into a problem.
Chill dude, lectures were engaging and felt like a conversation with that cool nerd friend rather than a professor giving a lecture. Unfortunately tests are no longer online because he really hates cheaters. Nothing was hard though, tests were all made up of info from the notes, study the notes and you will pass.
Professor is passionate about his subject, and is very entertaining and engaging. Grade is based off of 2 tests, entirely drawn from lecture material. Come to class, take notes, study them, and you will do absolutely fine.
Professor Feeley is dedicated to his field and is a cool teacher. There is a midterm based on the lecture slides which he does not share so go to class or get detailed notes from a classmate. Plus a rough draft and final paper on a novel. He loves to discuss any class topics or random questions, so don't be afraid to ask.
You have to show up everyday in order to take notes and study them for his two exams or get the notes from someone if you. Other than that professor frank is really passionate about what he teaches and his lectures are really engaging. Take his class you wont regret it
he is a great professor and pretty funny too. the only downside is that he doesn't post lecture notes on blackboard so you need to show up to class to take notes or get them from a classmate if you missed class. there are two tests based off of those notes, but they are really easy if you show up, and take notes you'll pass!
Hes really a fun professor to teach his students. He only grades on two exams, no hw at all. You have to show up though every time to class in order to get the notes and study them for the exams. If you cant ask a peer for it. Just show up, take notes, study them and your guarantee to pass this class.
Professor makes each class feel like you're attending a conference panel, very organized and w/ passion. The exams are based on notes and sometimes he even gives away exam questions during lectures. He also doesn't allow any sort of device open during class lecture/exam. Just bring yourself, a notebook and enjoy the show. Thank you professor!
Francis is exactly what a professor should be! patient, passionate, funny, and explained so much so clearly. It was a pleasure being in this class . 2 exams, 1 draft, and 1 paper
Its very important to come to class and take down notes. Only 2 exams for your grade and they are drawn from the notes he presents are slide. A very chill and funny professor whos passionate in teaching this class. Just come take notes and study them and your gonna pass this class no problem
so glad i took him for a summer course. he's super easy going with the students and he makes his lectures fun to listen to. he even ended off the semester with a field trip to the museum of natural history. don't miss the chance to take his class!!
He makes his lectures entertaining and he is very generous when it comes to assignment due dates. His mid term is avg difficulty level but the study guide is adequate. One of the classes where you actually learn when you go to a lecture instead of leaving confused
HILARIOUS! Every lecture was so entertaining becuase of his jokes. Attendance is mandatory becuase the HW assignments, which are super simple, are based off the slides. 2 tests and one simple project. No computers in class, only hand written notes. He gives plenty of time to write down the notes from the slides. Hes great, def take.
He is honestly hilarious and tries his hardest to make the lectures engaging (even with a dry class). Very passionate about the course material which made me more interested than I initially was. Very forgiving with homework deadlines & offers half credit make up for exams if needed. Come to class, take notes, no electronics and you're golden.
He's funny and as long as you do the work, your good
