he is the best teacher I have had so far . very helpful and will do anything to make sure you understand what it is he is teaching. We need more teachers like him. Do not take Mr Simpson what ever you do he is no good .

He is a great teacher. There is nothing to say bad about him. He makes it fun and makes you almost want to be there. But who really loves english.. NOT ME!! but i love coming to his class. He makes sure you understand everything, he even plays games like ball and hide-an-seek. Great teacher.

Professor Gunshanan is one of the greatest teachers I have ever had for Honors English, including High School. He is great with working with you when you have problems or have to miss class due to an illness. He is very understanding. He actually made English fun. Highly recommended!!!!

Mr. Gunshanan is one of the best english teachers you can have at DBCC. He really explains what he wants you to accomplish, and he takes the time to help you get there. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a good english teacher while attending DBCC.

He is an awesome teacher! Funny, very understanding, teaching method is great! He explains things so the student can really grasp it. I have gone back to him well after I was done with his class for other help. He's the type of teacher you make an extra trip just to say hi again. Definitely recommend him.

Mr. G. is a nice and very humorous teacher, makes many jokes. Although, I did not always agree with his grades for the assignment; overall, I would recommend him, because he was very helpful, and I got an A for this course.

Gunshanan is my favorite professor so far! He is excellent and I hated English before I had him as a teacher. He always finds a way to make things interesting and he's pretty funny.

Prof. G is a cool dude. Really involved. Sometimes he lets the class get off track, but he seem to strive off the chaos. Would recommend you take one of his classes at least once. It's a great experience.

G is a really great teacher. English has never been my strong suit but I learned a lot. When writing papers take heed to his comments. I got a lot of the same mistakes on most of my papers. Grades pretty moderate but expects things done a certain way. Easy to learn I recommend this class.

Frank Gunshanan is an incredibly helpful and patient professor. One who does not become irritated easily, Frank is a forthright yet understanding man, one whom understands and empathizes whatever level of English you're approaching his class with. I highly recommend taking Frank's course, particularly as a part of the Quanta program.

Frank is seriously the best teacher I have ever had! He is so funny and I have learned a lot from him. He's amazing; I want him to be my Daddy and sit on his lap have incredible conversations.

I have only been at Daytona state for two semesters and had Gunshanan for both. He was so great in my first semseter, I went out of my way to make sure I had him for ENC 1101 in spring term. Very witty, excellent teaching strategies, and delightful personal qualities. Makes you feel at home and relaxed. I will always choose gunshanan.

Frank is a fantastic teacher. He's enthusiastic and witty, with an ease for teaching that is rarely matched by others. Frank goes out of his way to be sure that his lessons are retained, making the process of doing so fun for all. Frank is simply the best, better than all the rest, and if you pay attention, you'll get an A in his class, no s(w)eat.

Mr. G is a fantastic teacher. He's hilarious and really gets into discussions with his students. He'll always answer your questions in detail and he acts as if he really wants you to pass. The only thing to worry about are the essays, he is very critical when it comes to writing. Also, he gives no tests! Lots of group work. Highly reccommend.

He is AMAZING! He interacts with the students and gives insight to what concepts the lessons or readings are about. His essays are fun and the journals are easy. Just READ the assignments! Always there when you need help on anything, I would take his class again! He made English worth coming to class for! Have to have the books and need to make it to every class or you will get way too behind. Easy to understand and the work is not hard you just need to be there in the class room. So far the best professor I have had yet!

Honestly, Mr. Gunshanan was the best English teacher I've ever had to date. He is a nice, caring guy. He always accepted late work, and asked me why I didn't do my assignments, concerned that I wouldn't pass. He also asked about my personal life outside of school, and gave me feedback in life. Great teacher.

A previous professor at Stetson University, Frank is insightful, helpful, kind, caring, and an amazing teacher overall!!!!!!!!! He will help you with personal issues as well as academic ones! He is A REAL TEACHER, all professors should be like Francis.

Group projects, major writing assignments every class period. NO TESTS. READ about 3 books on your own. Easy A. You must show up or won't pass. Critical thinking and open mindness. Long lectures and pop quizzes too. Very easy course though. He is there to help you out a lot!!!I would take again!!

I love love love Mr. Gunshanan, if I could take this class over again with him I would! Best English class and teacher I have ever had, he teaches you what you need to know and more. Worth it and the classes were ALWAYS interesting! You will NOT regret taking his class, so DO IT!

Professor Gunshanan is great. Lectures are funny, and he gives excellent feedback on how to improve your writing. His grading is pretty tough, but you are able to revise papers at the end of the semester. Attendance is not required, but you will miss out on points from doing in-class essays and group projects.

Prof. Gunshanan is an AMAZING professor. He gives a few papers, but after it's graded, he gives you the chance to revise it for a better grade. He is very straightforward and is a fun teacher. I would take him again. I would recommend.

His lecture is very fun and interesting. He grades attendance so you will be required to be in class. Anyway, if you don't miss classes and assignments, you will get an A. He gave us his own hand-made textbook which was awesome. I was bad at writing first but he gave me great feedbacks and my writing got much better. You should definitely take him!

Mr. G is a great example of a what a professor should be. He is very caring about the people that show that they care about his class and it's easy to like his class because he makes it interesting. I used to hate english and had horrible teachers in the past but after taking his class he changed my view. If you have him as a prof, you're lucky!

Mr. G was such an amazing teacher! I loved being in his class. He truly cared for all of his students and would let you know he's there for you if you even need him. He is clear on what he wants in his assignments and is a fair grader. He allows corrections and will help you become a better writer by the end of the course. I could see a difference.

Really recommend professor Gunshanan

Mr. Gunshanan was a great teacher. It was a lot of work. Each class we had a story to read and usually study questions or short essays to write (3-5 pages). He was very helpful and gives good feedback. He is also pretty funny in class. I would take him again. He is very caring and brings snacks to class for students so nobody is there hungry.

He likes for you to participate in class so show up to receive 100pts. He has a book created full of stories you will have to read and write papers for. He's funny and caring.

Prof. G was able to go around the classroom and assist you when needed. Understandable when you have to miss class and is able reply to emails quickly. Very caring about his students and in what he teaches! Definitely recommend! Only four essays and in-class assignments that I had to do. Come to class and you'll be set!

Cool professor! Accepting of LQBTQ+ and is overall a great guy. Was dual enrolled in 2016 and was scared of college, but he was super cool! Seemed intimidating, but wasn't, to be honest. Good class. :)

He is very good at getting people to engage because of the comfortable atmosphere he provides. He cares a lot about his students and is very understanding when you have to miss class or when you turn in an assignment late. He's hilarious and acts like a friend you can confide in. He is easily one of my favorite teachers I have ever had.

Professor Gunshanan is amazing! He really knows what he is talking about when it comes to English. He is very understanding. He is also ready to help. As long as you go to class every week, you will pass. He gives you all of the tools necessary too receive and A. Just follow his lead.

He is an amazing professor, sure has his own personality, which makes him a special professor. He puts effort into his class, so he expects students' effort too. His lecture is very interesting. He doesn't mean to make your life harder, but he sure appreciates hard-working students more. I so appreciate that I had him as my professor.

This professor has his pros and cons. On one hand, you only have to write three big papers during the course. His assignments are engaging and not exactly hard work. Feedback is helpful. However, he can be nearly impossible to reach sometimes. It took me a week before he responded on something urgent. Nevertheless, he's solid. I'd recommend him.

Okay, honestly. After having Frank for two semesters in a row, he is an amazing professor. He genuinely cares about his students and wants them to exceed. He gives several opportunities to improve your grade and loves to hear his student's opinions on serious topics occurring in our current environment.

Mr. Gunshanan is a fantastic teacher. He has his own expansion of what makes a good paper and uses his own list of criteria needed for a good paper, which is called Daily Vitamins, but once he explains them then it is easy to check do you meet those things.
