So everyone says this guy is a great teacher, which he is but let me say his tests and quizzes are HARD. I went to class every single day took notes on everything he said in class and i still got owned in the class. I tried reading the book for the final and still no luck. Good luck to the rest of you.

Seriously, anyone that has written comments saying this guy is hard or difficult is a complete idiot. This class/instructor are the best you could possibly take at Fullerton College. He is VERY clear and if you email him, he will get back to you fast. There are 6 quizzes which are 33%, midterm=33%, and final=33% of your grade. Book isn't necessary.

His honor class was really amazing!!! We learned a lot since he talked more about the outside world than in other regular classes. Quizzes are right from the notes. Exams are a little harder but a possible A if you understand what's going on. The hard part was the presentations, he grades hard but honors must have higher standards, mustn't it?

Awesome teacher! He is extremely clear and provides excellent notes. You don't ever use the book (although it is nice to have). His quizzes are really tricky but his notes always cover what will be on the quiz. The midterm and the final are pretty tricky as well but again the notes cover everything you need to know. I took him for both Econ 101, 102.Let me tell you this, if your major is econ or business, definitely take him. If you have no interest in econ, don't. I want to take some more classes with him at CSUF. You can get up to 10 extra points each test. You must understand the lessons to do his tests.

Great teacher! He provides a lot of interesting facts in class. Everything on the tests is in the notes. No need for book and NO HOMEWORK! you can take one or two days off and still be fine if you get the notes from some one else. There are also a lot of extra credits on the tests.

I was worried about taking his class because I have read that his tests are tricky. They're not, he just expects you to actually know the material. All you need in the class is a notebook which I was grateful for. If you are not too interested in econ I would say to give your seat up for someone who actually wants to learn the material though.

I'm a finance major and this was seriously one of the hardest classes I have ever taken. He is a quality professor, but I absolutely hated this class. You have to attend every class in order to copy down what he writes. Pop quizzes are worth 1/3 of the grade. Unless you really care for econ then do yourself a favor and take this class online.

Mummery is one of the best Econ. Profs. Notes are clear and are all you need for the course. His quizzes are 20 questions and offers bonus. He drops the worst quiz and he goes over midterm and final with students. He is extremely helpful and cares about his students. I went to his office and needed help/advice and he took the time and listened.

Is a GREAT teacher, I'm terrible at ECON but his lectures are so clear and linear and he makes sure you understand and gives real life examples. I got a 95% on the final exam, and it's definitely because he was a great teacher. Challenges you to learn more!

If you want to learn about Econ take this teacher. You must study study study. He offers three quizes, a midterm and a final and drops your lowest quiz score. He is also offering one extra credit but its in a form of a pop quiz so make sure you study your notes. You must dedicate time. Don't wait till the last minute to study it will be to much.

No book required, no take home assignments but teaches and explains material extremely well. 2 Major exams, a few minor quizes, and E.C. offered on all. Finally, a true college professor. A professional in every sense of the word. He will prepare you for the next level VERY well. I know--transferred to UCLA and was so ready for my classes. If you want an easy A take someone else. If you want to learn (and have some fun while doing it) take him!

Excellent instructor. No hw. Attendance is not required, but missing a lecture will affect your quiz scores. If you do at least average on the tests, there is extra credit available through the writing assignments (short essays) and you will do well in the class. You DO NOT need the book, but you will have to pay for access to The Write Experience.

I think Mr. Mummery is a great teacher. He writes all his notes on the board so you're able to learn it better. I think economics is pretty boring, but he made it very interesting. The essays really help you with your grade. No computers, phones, and sleeping allowed. He also has a pet peeve of people coming to class late, and talking.

By far my favorite professor in my college career. He's truly passionate about what he teaches and my goodness does he know what he's talking about. There's 3 quizzes, midterm, final, and 4 essays. He's beyond engaging and it was truly a pleasure taking his class. He's difficult but econ isn't easy. If you put in the effort, you will learn a lot.

Simply the best professor there is. I took his micro class in the Spring. I tried to get his macro class for the Fall. It filled up on the first day. He is so popular because he actually knows what he is doing and know how to teach!

He is a great teacher, I took him for Microecon(spring)and Macroecon(summer). Very interesting guy and knows what hes talking about. Take notes and pay attention and you'll pass the class. Quizzes are harder than exams, pay attention to the wording of questions because it can be tricky study quizzes for test and youre golden.

You really need to attend class to pass the class. This girl would come when she felt like it & after the final was surprised she did not pass. Go Figure! Class is hard since its so much material to cover but the material itself isn't very difficult. The tests were killers and if you aren't a good test taker good luck. He is super clear and very thorough in his lectures (don't miss a day!) super organized and made material interesting. Your notes are your best friend. Study!

My class was 1.5 hours of pure lecture but I can easily say this was one of my favorite classes ever. Econ isn't exactly an easy subject but if you show up to class and pay attention to lecture it'll make sense and ask questions if you don't understand, he's happy to help! There's a reason why this guy continuously wins teacher of the year. He's literally holy grail of economics. Before this course, I had no interest whatsoever in economics. But after taking this class, I find myself becoming more immersed with econ with each passing lecture. Quizzes can be tricky, but he's amazing. You really do learn a whole lot.

In all honesty I don't think I will be passing this class because of me but this teacher really was engaging with the students. If every teacher was like Mummery, school would be drastically different. He's one of the few that really understands his topics and is able to apply them to the real world. He is truly a brilliant person with tons of interesting stories. Everyone should take his classes, but be respectful if you do, he deserves it.

There's 4 quizzes, a midterm, and a final. No homework, no classwork, no extra credit which means it's solely based on performance on tests/quizzes. Hard to know if your actually grasping everything because there's no practice. He's a very sweet guy, and has funny anecdotes which do relate to the topics and can help with remembering!

Awesome class and awesome teacher. Has a very basic course syllabus that consists of 4 quizzes and 2 tests. Just be sure to show up to class everyday because missing one day can put you really behind. His quizzes are way harder than the tests in my opinion but if you take good notes and study a little you should get a B or an A.

I took Professor Mummery's 7AM class this past spring & even though it was early I did not regret it. It was my favorite class by far. Buying the textbook was optional. I personally did not buy it & I never once needed it. His notes are just that good! He hates when people are late & do not use your cellphone he will make you leave.

The summer course lasted five weeks and included four quizzes and two exams. I would recommend to a friend! Don't skip class and a textbook is not needed.

Took Mummery for both 101 and 102. Both were ridiculously easy. Literally just show up to class and take notes. When it's time to take a test or quiz, just read the notes. Once for a quiz, and maybe twice for a test. That's it. Just don't show up late.

Mummery really cares about his students. He is very strict on phones and cheating, but he is great on explaining his lectures. I actually did not pass the class since he is a very tough grader. But I felt like I learned so much. I took the class again the following semester and got a B+ because I had a great understanding.

He assigns homework rarely so when he does do it but don't expect to get points for it because the only points you'll get are experience points that don't even count towards the grade. Hyper involved on campus raising money for scholarships and in a lot of committees. Tough grader so if you have a 69% he won't pass you because that's life at a CSU.

This is a hard class. I went to tutoring center weekly, and his office hours. He seems rough during lecture, but in person a really caring guy. No homework, no textbooks, seems easy, but its not. I took him online and he has lectures to watch every week. You are only graded by quizzes and 1 discussion that has possible 10 extra credit points. Questions can be worded a bit confusing but not too bad overall. Get a study group to review the topics he says and you should do good in this class.

Structure of his online class is very simple. No homework and all the lectures are in video format which is great if you have a tight schedule or have other priorities. The wording in the questions in each quiz can catch you off guard and hurt your grade. Wish he would enable the questions we got wrong on quizzes so we can learn from our errors.

I still wish he would update his study guide to be on par with his quizzes because they feel way too bareboned to truly be prepared for them.

I highly recommend this instructor. He is passionate about the subject and he knows how to teach it really well. Take really good notes, look at the practice questions, and you'll be fine. My favorite prof at FC so far.

Professor Mummery was definitely my favorite professor here at Fullerton College. This can be a tough class but if you take good notes and put the effort in you will pass trust me. His teaching style is truly unique compared to most here at Fullerton but it is a style that works.

Took Professor Mummery for both micro and macro econ. His recorded lectures are some of the most straightforward and well-organized lectures I had in any online course. 4 quizzes, midterm, and final are all open notes, so the better your notes, the easier they are. 1 big assignment with a generous amount of extra credit. Fantastic professor.

Mummery is such a caring, genuine professor. Take advantage of his office hours if you are really struggling. I dropped his in person class bc I simply did not manage it correctly. I took his online and made it my mission to really apply and study what I learned to the quizzes and tests. 4 quizzes (worst grade dropped) 2 exams: midterm and final.

The only grades are 4 quizzes, midterm and final. He gives you a study guide with what questions will be on each quiz. Work in is Grade out.

I took Professor Mummery's ECON 101 online class for Summer 2024 semester. Lectures were thorough and he treats the videos as if you were physically in a classroom with him. If you follow along and take notes similar to his, you will pass this class with no problem. All quizzes and tests are open-book, and he was very responsive!

Mummery's ECO101 is challenging but manageable. Attend class, take notes, and study hard - the quizzes and exams are tough but doable. unstuckstudy ai was a lifesaver for exam prep. Overall, a solid professor who makes the material clear.

Professor Mummery was just amazing and wonderful. What I appreciated about this course is that there is no textbook that is necessary and the lectures are pre- recorded allowing to be able to review as many times as you will like for clarity. Great course and the Professor is great at getting back in a timely fashion. He also does a lot of visuals.

I have experienced professors who are as tough as him but cruel and unforgiving. I have experienced his lectures and his online course. This professor tells it like it is but also believes in second chances. Good real-world examples and is very understandable. Workload fair and tests are a bit more difficult, can be tricky wording. Very insightful.

Francis Mummery is very knowledgeable on the topic of economics. He explains his lectures through various examples that make them insightful and interesting. It would always be a pleasure to go to his class. I would recommend his class to anyone who needs this class for credit or is simply interested in macroeconomics.

Professor Mummery makes economics easy to understand. I entered this class knowing this is a weak subject for me, but he made concepts very clear. He cares about his students' success and encourages you to come to all his lectures because that's where quiz/test questions come from. He gives you exact topics/questions to study for beforehand too.

Really great professor, you can really see how knowledgeable he is about so many different areas within economics. Can be a bit hard to reach through email and not as personable as some other professors. However, if you study and give this class the attention and time it deserves you will do great and you might even enjoy the class like I did.

I am not an Econ person but Mummery makes this class very interesting and enjoyable. He lectures each class but his lecture make so much sense and he is very passionate about the concepts. I'm really sad I got a B in his summer macro econ class (MY FIRST B...I had a 4.0 before him), but nothing against him he was a pretty good teacher and very passionate about economics. I'd recommend him just NOT during the summer please. The videos he taught from were pretty long and tedious.

I had this professor back in around 2009 at Fullerton College. He was an excellent professor. Thanks to his inspiration I am currently a multi-millionaire. Potentially I will be a billionaire in my lifetime. I barely remember what he looks like but his truth and dedication to economics helped me achieve success in life. His impact was profound.

Wonderful Professor!! I do not like ECON but this professor's passion about teaching it to students helped me enjoy this class. You have to write your notes. He lectures literally everything that will be one the quiz/exams. If you study, getting an A in this class will be no issue. He offers office hours if you need help & there is also tutoring.

Prof. Mummery is passionate about teaching, and he genuinely cares about his students. His lectures have a great layout and are well-explained. There are no assignments, and grades depend on quizzes and exams. As long as you attend his class and make notes, you will succeed in this course.

Amazing professor! Cares about the knowledge his students receive. If you don't study notes he gives, you won't get the grade you want. I slacked a bit hence the B, so my fault. He will not disappointment. Please take! Has a 4 rating B/C he's the best Prof. on campus. No book, no HW, 4 quizzes, 2 exams and that's it. All your time goes to studying.
