Great professor.Very helpful and very passionate about his class.He gives pop quizzes which are extra points and he gives 3 exams.

He's great. Don't buy the text. Everythings on the slides, and he puts them on blackboard. He takes attendance and has pop quizzez, but they're only to help your grade.

His class was amazing! It was a senior class mostly but I was only a freshman who took it. He is easy, gives alot of tests which are better because it focuses in one only a few topics each test, and gives attendance points and pop quiz points. He is young and gives alot of As and A+s

Rotella is a very good prof. The great part about this class is YOU DO NOT need the txt book. His power point slides are more then enough. His exams are extremely fair and he gives extra credit which I recommend doing. If you want to take a free elective I recommend this class you won't regret it. He's kinda funny in a cheesy way

The ppl complaining about this class neglect to mention all of the bonus he assigns. He gives SOO much bonus it's hard to not do well as long as you pay attention. Take him. He's also very helpful

Nice professor who knows a lot about statistical research. Always there to help. Gives 2 day exams, 1st is closed M.C. and 2nd is open book writing portion. Gives online h.w. and provides 3 extra credit quizzes for each 3 exams that are awarded to your final grade! Very fair grader and devoted! His final take home!!!

this guy is one of the best statistic professor in queens college. the first week i was not sure about him, but as the semester goes he helps you out tremendously and give you tons of bonus points. He know this class aint easy and will deal with it accordingly, take him and pay attention, easy A.

Great Professor! If you put in the work you will get the grade you deserve. Attend class otherwise you will be lost. Two day exams but its not so bad! Frank is the best Stat professor in QC. He is caring, knowledgeable and make a very difficult class fun with his humor. This man is a Genius, he makes me understand Stat in 6 weeks and other professor could not do in the Spring semester. I would recommend Frank to any and very students who really wants to learn. Best Professor ever!

He's actually not very good of a lecturer in that he overcomplicates simple material. But it's really easy to learn on your own. His tests are pretty straightforward. Overall an easy A despite not being a very good professor.

Class is not that difficult. You must come to class or you will fail because he shows how to do problem sets step by step for tests. There are three test and finals. Tests consist of one day of multiple choice and one day of problem set. Textbook is mandatory since that is where he posts announcements, homework and grades.

Prof Rotella is terrific!! But you MUST go to every class. His tests are based on the lecture, with review sheets outlining everything you can expect. Some concepts are hard to grasp, so skim through the txtbook and do the mini quizzes throughout the chapter. Also, do the HW promptly. Follow my advice, and you'll have a 100+ average. Easy. Breezy.

Frank is probably one of the nicest and easiest professors in Queens. He wants everyone to do well! Homework is on Aplia, but it was only 10% of the grade. Four exams, but lowest two were 10%. Gives "pop quizzes" that will be added to your overall average so do well on those, and gives you the answers to the problem sets! Definitely recommend!!

Frank is an excellent professor. He is caring, clear, and straight forward. He tells you exactly what will be on the tests. The multiple choice is more difficult than the problem set, which he shows you EXACTLY how to do in class. Would take again in a heartbeat, and it doesn't hurt that hes a super nice and funny guy.

Listen I suck at stats and Pro. Francis is amazing. he explains everything clearly makes it easier for you to understand. and he shows you exactly how to do the problem sets which helps ALOT. the multiple choice was harder then the problem sets but if you come to class and pay attention you will pass. he gives extra credit and curves your grade.

Rotella is a great professor. Lectures are boring, but that is bc of the course, not him. He goes off on tangents bc he is a researcher and he extremely passionate about statistics. He really wants his students to do well, and will give you open book quizzes to boost your grade. His grading isn't as harsh as people say. Take him, he's the best.

This Professor is amazing!! There were 3 papers, 10 assignments, 5 quizzes (open book) and two exams. He also gave out pop quizzes as extra credit! He used questions from the quizzes for his exams. Professor Rotella teaches Statistics extremely well. He writes everything on the board and tells you EXACTLY what is on the exams. For this summer course, there was 3 exams and a cumulative final online exam. The online textbook sometimes didn't line up in lecture, but his exams are based on the lecture. A lot of chances for extra credit!

Great professor had him for summer session! You have to study for this class if you want to pass the problem sets are super easy compared to the multiple choice. There is no way you can fail this class! He was a lot of fun and very helpful great professor to take for summer stats!!

AMAZING PROFESSOR. I retook this class because I'm dumb but yo he's so helpful. Like he's actually there for students. He goes out of his way to help you. Very understanding. Honestly best psych professor I've ever had. I failed two psych classes with other professors and retook the classes with him and passed.

So I took Psych 107 like 4 times before taking it with him (before the new rule of being able to only take it twice). This was my last chance to pass it before having to drop the major. I FINALLY UNDERSTOOD THE CLASS WHEN I TOOK IT WITH HIM. Literally the same material but he made it so much clearer. Again, best psych professor ever, hands down

Frank is a great guy and really knows what he's teaching. This semester was challenging due to Corona, but he was exceptionally accommodating and didn't make anything harder than necessary. That said, he does not let you do nothing, he makes you work for your grades and builds a strong foundation for further psych classes and research.

When I told him that I did not take statistics for 10 years, he made sure to go over the basics slowly. Another peer said to go to his office hours and I did. He helped me set up spss. Moreover, when I had problems downloading 6 of the spss files, he sent them to me individually. Additionally, I loved it when he wrote on the Whiteboard.

If you miss a class or you are not sure about something that Dr. Rotella taught, you can ask him in the next class. I emailed him around 200 times at 1 a.m. to 3 a.m. One time, I emailed him at 1 a.m. and he answered me right away. He answers emails very quickly.

Dr. Rotella gave a review sheet for the midterm. He said everyone could email him about the review sheet. I emailed him 39 questions before my midterm. He gave a review sheet for the next three semesters. The review sheet was almost an exact replica of the exam. Half the midterm had spss questions and half had multiple choice questions.

I would take him for every class if I could. Amazing guy, made online class a breeze. Always answers, fairly quickly and is a very fair grader. Hes not afraid to admit if he made a mistake in explanation or grading. Show you care and hell reciprocate. Overall, great guy and highly recommended.

Prof Rotella was great. He gave a bunch of assignments but was super clear with what he wanted and was good at giving feedback. There's a quiz almost every week but they were relatively easy. Rotella was also super easy to reach outside of class and was always very helpful when I asked questions.

This man is extremely caring. His method of teaching is strictly with the development of their students in mind. Some complain about the many assignments but they all make the main Labs easier. Reviews whats on the exam, very accessible outside of class. I have nothing negative to say about him. Wish he would teach 300 level classes

It is a W class so there was a lot of writing but I expected that. With that in mind. I will say he is an AMAZING prof! So caring, gives a lot of extra credit, really cares about his students and wants everyone to pass. Allows for make ups at the end if you aren't doing well and basically gives you the answers to the exams and hw! Love him so much!

Professor Rotella has been one of the best professor I had at QC. The class is material heavy and assignment heavy. Rotella is a very helpful professor who wants his students to do well and understand the material. Do the work and show effort. The labs is not much but is weighted heavily. Would recommend and would take a class with him again !

Had him for psych stat and 213W. He is the best. the class is material heavy esp since W class, but he breaks it down so well and helps so much for papers, quizzes, exams. Recommend for everyone.

He's a blessing of the Psych Dep. Whoever fails the class was because they wanted to. All quizzes are open book and he reviews the exams the class before with the review sheet. 3 papers and 12 writing assignments that make the papers easier for you (drops lowest 2 assignments). Curves if needed and extra points for perfect attendance. Amazing prof!

He has been by far 1 of the best professors that I have ever had in Queens College. A lot of things happened this semester that resulted in me falling behind but he was very understanding and went out of his way to help me pass. He's clear about what he expects, grades quickly, and is easy to contact. He made taking 213W a pleasant experience.

Rotella is so informative, brilliant and respectful. Responsive, relatable and hysterical! I will miss him, wish all my professors were as cool as him. As a W class is heavy as expected. Open book quizzes, outline for all papers and concise directions. Take his class cause you will learn the material, just stay on track. The class moves quickly.

Being a W class, get ready to read and write every week or every other week. Despite the workload, he always provides outlines of what exactly he wants. He's very clear and talks about every assignment in great detail and is always willing to answer student's questions. There's extra credit and revisions for lab reports! He really is the best prof.

This professor is awesome. so understanding and so accessible out of class. there is a lot of work he gives A LOT, they are super easy. he gives the full detail of what he wants written. there are 2 exams, and a few quizzes and pop quizzes. but the quizzes are open book so they are easy, just find them on the presentation through your laptop.

He makes the class engaging and time flies. Assessments are straightforward. Way too many assignments (weekly if not daily) but it is a W course so it isn't his fault and the assignments are fairly easy. Grades quickly. Don't even need to touch the textbook. There are not enough characters available to convey how much I enjoyed this class. He's funny, organized, and understanding. He flawlessly presents the material and does not make you feel dumb in the slightest if you don't comprehend something. Prof Rotella is hands down of the best,if not the best professor i ever had..he is great at not making the work so intimidating and keeps us engaged in the lectures.however this class is no cakewalk, there are weeklly assignments,3 lengthy lab reports,quizzes/pop quizzes,peer reviews and midterm/final.Attendance is key to doing to doing good.

Taking professor Rotella was the best decision I could have made and the best decision any student can make when taking 213W. Despite all the writing involved and the amount of material, he made it possible for all students to pass his class as long as they showed up. Professor Rotella is one of the best professors I've ever had. I hate math and I was able to do well in his stats class so that says a lot. He is understanding and always gives you an opportunity to redeem yourself via extra credit. Just make sure that you study and ask questions, as he never has an issue with answering them! rotella is a great professor. 1073 wasn't an easy class but the structure of his class made it a lot easier. he provides study guides that are almost identical to the tests. offers a lot of extra credit, and a lot of time to review for exams.

Professor Francis was amazing! I took his summer class. His teaching style made statistics easy to understand. He gives quizzes that count as extra points on the exam, reviews before each exam to ensure you're prepared, and the exams are open book. Homework is done on Cengage. As long as you complete all the work, you'll do well.

I dont usually put reviews here, but for this professor I had to! he was honestly one of the most caring and understanding professors that I've had in the psych department. the beginning may seem overwhelming... but trust me- it is all worth it, and you will know why he did his assignments the way he did. trust me you won't regret!!!
