Frank is the man. He is organized. He has a passion for Biology and it shows in his lecture.

He is very organized, all of his notes are in power point and he puts then up on the board. The test are not easy you DO have to study. You do get a bonus and he is helpful.

All i will say is that he knows his stuff. (And he wants you to as well). Forwards, backwards, insideout. he teaches from powerpoint. sit in the front row

Mr. Campo uses Powerpoint, and most of the test comes from what he lectures. He explains everything in great detail. You will have to study extensively for the test.

I hated biology in high school but this guy is like Bill Nye the science guy...he is a dork and it is hilarious! He makes all the dumb facts seem important and interesting. He gives fill in the blank type notes which cut the notetaking time in half and he gives study guides. What more could you ask for? his quizzes are SUPER EASY!!

Mr. Campo is the best biology teacher in my opinion. He is funny, helpful and very enthusiastic about biology. If you come to class and study the notes and the study guides, you should be able to ace the test. If he taught any other biology class I would definately take him.

He was awesome! He tries his hardess for you to picture the process and he relates to easier things to help remember. i studied for his test.. he gave his notes over the overhead and on the internet. Also gave bonus on quizes (which were easy). I would take him over any day!

Easiest teacher I've ever had.

I never thought I liked biology, but Mr. Campo made it interesting (in a dorky way). I'd recommend him to anyone. Very nice guy. His quizes are done in a "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" style- very fun. With a little studying, it's not hard to make an A.

I took two of Campo's classes and I absolutely love him! He is always willing to meet to discuss lectures if you are lost. He is funny in a corny way, but his nerdiness makes him so freakin cute! You must study for his tests, but everything comes straight from the notes. I never had to read the chapters to make A's on the test. Participate!!!

His class is easy. He has powerpoints for everything in the class, so if you're a visual learner I recommend him! His tests are straight from his notes, so if you study and keep up, you'll be fine!

He's an awesome teacher! He loves his job, and you can tell when he lectures. Speak up in his class when he asks questions. Don't be afraid to ask questions. Always read the chapter of the last lab you did and for the lab that you will do that day if you want to ace his quizzes.

He's a great teacher and explains the material very well. Only one lab report per semester so work on it! If you read the chapters you'll A's all the quizzes. The midterm is all the quizzes put together plus some stuff from the lab, it's very fair and even offers bonus pts. The labs are interesting and fun and did I mention he's funny as hell?

He is a good professor, definately someone you should look into if your taking Biology. Although, he is very straight forward. If you don't attend class you can get lost easily. And like everyone else mentioned he is quite the comedian.

He keeps the material interesting. He's very funny and easy-going. His tests seem like they will be hard, but as long as you attend class and read over your notes (which he puts on BlackBoard for you), you can make a good grade. Plus, he's cute.

Mr. Campo is a great professor. It has been 15 years since I took high school biology so I pretty much knew nothing when I got there. He explains everything clearly and also gives you little stories that show you real world application. As long as you go to class and take notes, you will be fine.

I liked to but im told hanniable is way easier you just have to learn his ways. He gives you a chance for bonus and participations points in the end. Make sure you know things by catorgoies and show up for clicker quizes. He likes when you show intersets so email him atleast once. you do have to study he gives alot of notes but u can get a B atleas

This guy is pretty great! Mr. Campo made the class as fun for me as it could be, because I do NOT like biology. He's very detailed and you need to study, but he offers some bonus and he makes it fun. Offers slide print-outs, too. Tests are multiple choice and come from the lectures, as well as slides. Take if you can! Oh, and he's easy on the eyes!

I LOVE Mr. Campo. You do need to go to class, as the bb notes are vague, but he's so funny! Also, I'm taking him right now (I have an A and I procrastinate horribly) and the other day he literally stopped lecture for about 15 minutes to explain something to me, in great detail, multiple ways, I didn't understand. You won't regret it.

BEST FREAKING BIO TEACHER. Take him if you HATE science and/or if you failed in high school. Makes it fun! Super nerdy corny jokes during class but I love it! Mr. Campo is an excellent teacher. He makes boring concepts exciting and fun. He's also really hilarious. The tests are all multiple choice and come straight from the lectures. Mr. Campo is excellent at incorporating interesting stories and examples into his teaching, and made me actually want to learn a bit about the things he was teaching. I studied for about 20 minutes for the final, and got an 86 on it. 87 in the class.

He acts everything out and makes each lab as fun as possible. His lectures keep me focused and he draws everything on the board for you. His tests are pretty easy if you look over your notes and the quizzes online have unlimited tries! I loved him so much and I would recommend him to anyone!!

Take Frank Campo! He is one of my favorite teachers at SLU. He gives you all the information you need to do well. Hardly any note-taking, and all the labs are awesome. He makes biology interesting. Quizzes were all on Blackboard which makes for super easy points!

Absolutely loved his class! He keeps the lecture interesting and you can tell he loves his job. If you ever have a random science question you can email him and he will get back with you. I would highly recommend him! Make sure you go to class, his examples are on the test! Be sure to copy diagrams. Amazing teacher though!

Class isn't mandatory, but I honestly didn't get bored in his class at all because he is very good at keeping your attention. Great teacher! He interacts with the class, makes the time fly by! Attendance is very important also. Very easy grader and happy to help students. Not a bad class: 2 exams, 1 lab report, and easy online quizzes with 3 tries. As long as you work hard and keep up with the material, it's an easy A!

Great teacher! Very goofy guy, does a great job of getting the class engaged. I did have to actually study for this class but he gives you all the materials you need to get good grades on his exams. Sometimes he goes a little quick in class though.

If you hate Biology.. TAKE FRANK. He is super nice and is very helpful. Offers his time to help you if you don't understand something. He is really funny. We take quizzes in class and online. 34 in class quizzes are group quizzes.

The only bad thing I have to say is there is only 2 100 point assignments and that is the midterm and final, they are both fill in the blankshort answer. As long as you study you will do fine! He gives about 11 quizzes and they have a bonus question on every one! He makes biology interesting! LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE HIM!

He is amazing! He definitely knows what he is talking about. He gives quizzes that you do in groups and moodle quizzes that "everyone should make a 100%, it's online!" You need to study for his exams, but if you he gives you a study guide for them and if you know the study guide, you'll get an A! Take him!!!

I'll be completely honest here. I came out with a C in the class but it was solely my fault. I scheduled a class way too early and never went. You go to class and do what he wants you to(which isn't much) and you WILL get at least a B.

I dropped biology 3 x it sounded like a foreign language I couldn't seem to get it. With only 6 credits from being a junior I gave it another shot! Frank Campo not only made it fun and interesting I actually enjoyed biology & learned a lot. If you go to class and study you can get an A I never that I would in biology but I did. Prof Campo is an excellent teacher. You can tell he is passionate about biology because of his excitement in lectures. I passed with an A by doing the study guides and going over slides before each test. It is about comprehension as he says, but I did make it through the final without doing the study guide - I did however memorize most slides. ;)

Great professor. If you don't understand hang in there, he will explain a lecture 20 different ways. Very respectful and not a single lecture was boring. He cares about your well-being and is extremely helpful. Doesn't cancel class, you will have a fill in one when he misses. hard tests but there are bonus opportunities.

This guy is an incredible lecturer. He is so passionate. However, he isn't the best teacher. His test are very difficult and require intense application. A bio major would be fine, but others proceed at your own risk. You can do it, but it will be difficult.

Mr Frank's class is super interesting because he loves biology and explains all of the notes really well. There are lots of notes, but they're really helpful and he puts the powerpoints online if you need them. HIs lectures are AMAZING. He is so passionate and genuinely cares about his students. He understands that we are not science majors and does his best to get the material across. I'm terrible at biology, but somehow I have an A in there! He gives 3 tests and the fourth is the final. He tests you on exactly what he teaches in class, so make sure you're there and taking notes. Highly recommend him and if you do your work you won't regret being in his class. He loves to joke around and gives up to 5 bonus points on every test

Dr. Campo is the best! if you have the chance, take him. You have a few quizzes here and there and three tests total. All very easy and if you pay attention in class youll get the grade you want. Hes really funny and tries to relate Bio to "real life" analogies so you can better picture what's going on. I'm always excited about going to this class!

Super easy. Watch the videos and take the quizzes before 11:59 every Sunday. Quizzes were sometimes tricky but overall easy. Class consists of experiments that will tie into midterm and final. The lab manual is required and Is also great for studying. Midterm and final are only tests.

I took Professor Campos Biol 152 summer course and I would absolutely take it again in a heartbeat! He made it very clear to understand and when he notices a confused face he will explain it again. He is also very nice and makes you feel comfortable enough to ask questions and not be embarrassed. (Which is very important to me)

He is an excellent professor. Clearly very passionate about the subject, especially wetland ecology. Wants his students to think, so the test questions are the application of topics taught in class. Very kind.

This class was not the easiest, but if you study you can pass. I hate biology, but the way he uses real world situations helped me learn better, which made biology not so bad for me. He has no homework. The only grades he has are 4 quizzes and 4 tests. He also rounds your grade if your one percentage away from the next letter grade. Hes the best!

Mr. Campo is such a sweet man who is super understanding. You will need to buy a certain book for class, but it's not expensive. You only meet once a week so it's super important that you go, or you'll miss everything for that chapter. You have a quiz every Sunday, but it goes with the PowerPoints that he gives you. Only two exams: midterm & final.

You have to buy a lab manual for this class from the bookstore because you will use it. If you don't understand something he is very willing to help you. This class was fun, and I enjoyed it! I would not recommend skipping class.

Super tech savvy so his powerpoints were 10/10 and easy to take notes along with, he reads the room super well so everyone was always engaged. Responds to emails and questions same day every time. Would recommend him 1000 times over!

In class bonus quizzes. Made it easy to understand for non-science majors. However I have always sucked at science and I don't think anyone can fix that. Pay attention, read textbook to clear up understanding, do the study guide. That probably would've helped me if I actually did the study guide. Show up or you will not pass as easily.

Professor Campo was excellent. In GBIO 106, he did an amazing job making the information understandable and fun. He made biology enjoyable. His tests are very straightforward. They're directly based on the lecture notes and study guide. If you attend class, and study, you'll do fine! Professor Campo was an excellent teacher! I highly recommend.

He is super sweet and as long as you go to class and pay attention you will do well. I honestly learned a good bit and I got better at studying.

Actually one of the best biology teachers I have ever had. I am terrible at science and I've gotten an A on every one of his tests. He makes biology much easier to understand and makes great real life comparisons. He wants you to learn and wants to see improvement. He gives lots of bonus and small quizzes to help your grade too. TAKE HIM!!!

Great teacher! He tries so hard to relate his lectures to real life examples. Sometimes it gets a bit hard to keep up with the harder topics, but he is accessible outside of class and loves to help! Make sure to take good notes because it is a lot to study.

Dr. Campo is a great professor, he is very passionate about all the material. He likes to keep the class talking and participating. Attend all lectures if possible. Lots of test questions are based on comments he says in class, not just the PowerPoints. Must study a lot in order to get a good grade.

Dr. Campo is the sweetest professor. He is caring and understanding and also such a great teacher. He makes lectures interesting and fun. You do need to go to class because the notes he posts don't have really any info on them. His tests and quizzes are straight from his lectures so take good notes. Lots of small and easy quizzes to get points.

He tries to set his students up for success. The class was a little hard for me because I am no good at science, but He is a nice teacher. He teaches strictly from power points, and is one of those professors that locks the door after start time. He is very test heavy, lots of info on the tests. You need to study to pass. You won't pass otherwise.

I like Dr. Campo a lot! The class in general is hard because science duh but he tries his best to make you succeed and learn. I would suggest studying a few weeks before hand because it's a lot of information. Hoping to get a C or B in there.

he is so good. funny guy, knows what he is talking about, and relates the topics to real life examples to understand them better. my only tip is to take notes on what he verbally says in class, he posts all of his slideshows. most of his test questions come from the practice quiz he gives you the day better the test and the lectures.

He teaches pretty well and had good charisma for as big of a class as it can be. Showing up to class and paying attention during the lectures are super beneficial and do the study guide that he give you as well and you will do well in his class.

I personally believe the subject itself is difficult. I studied for 2 weeks for the final and got a D on it. However, science in college is just straight up hard! Not his fault. Loved him as a person. He is extremely funny and passionate about science. I recommend but just be prepared to study a lot.

He is honestly the best teacher ever. i had him for a summer class so i was in there for almost 4 hours but it felt so fast bc he is so entertaining. work is easy just show up to class and try

Hated by some but he's honestly one of my favorite teachers so far. The way he teaches is helpful and engaging. Just follow the information he gives you and post attention in class and you'll pass. It's only difficult if you refuse to study

This has been the best teacher I've taken this semester by far. He is very interactive and likes to relate his topics to things we may know about first hand. Literally all you have to do is take notes during class and study for his exams and you will pass!!

Dr. Campo is a great professor who obviously cares a lot about what he teaches and his students. Instead of just trying to teach biology, he'll try to teach you study skills and other information that can benefit you in all aspects of life and other classes. The material can be challenging, but he is really caring, helpful, and interactive.

One of the BEST professors I've had. He makes such boring topics fun and makes his powerpoints entertaining where you can actually get into the topic even though you don't want to be there. Overall you will need to sudy but he gives easy study guides to where you just have to look at your notes he a rlly good professor take him if you can, trust me

Science is not my thing. If you can relate, I would recommend him. You definitely have to put the work in for this class, but it is doable. His tests are tricky, and many people struggle, but he does give other grades to help buffer. Going to class helps a lot!! Also, meet with him after the test! He gives you points back for meeting.

Highly recommend to take for bio lab. If he offered summer lecture, I would have taken him. Very passionate about biology and involving students with what's going on around us. Has stayed after class to explain a bio lecture (another class) highly adv to take bio face to face

I took Dr. Campo for BIOL 1060, and while I don't regret taking him, this class is super hard. If you don't study, then you won't pass the exams. Class attendance isn't mandatory, but you probably won't succeed in this class if you skip a lot. He's very caring and wants his students to succeed, but because the content is hard, so put in the work.

Dr. Campo is one of the best professors i have ever had. I do not like biology but he makes it fun and engaging and he is so funny. I wish i could take him for every bio class. If you can take him, DO IT. his class is not hard at all and he doesnt give a lot of homework. He gives a study guide for each exam that goes over everything on the exam.
