a very easy-going teacher. things may seem confusing in the beginning, but you eventually get used to the way he goes about class. we were given infinite attempts on quizzes, the midterm, and the final exam. labs and assignments were lengthy at times but nothing too hard. he's a very caring teacher and i wouldn't hesitate to take his class again!

He's a true gem, started this quarter with a story about how he got his intestines turned into a balloon animal. On top of his humor, he understands the subject itself well. Other than that, the class itself is just high school chemistry again but as a pre-req.

The online classes sometimes went overtime and were just long in general, though he gives a 10 minute break for each lecture. There were a few technical issues at the beginning of the quarter. He's very knowledgeable, cares about his students, and he grades easy. The tests are open note, not proctored, and not timed. Do your work and you'll pass.

This was an easy class. We had quizzes that you can do multiple times till you get everything right. The tests only allow one attempt though. During lectures, there's a break for 10 min. There was lab every week and I don't think the hw was graded on correctness. He's not very good at grading the assignments and the hw until the end of the quarter.

Dr. Christopherson was my least helpful professor this entire year. I had been doing my assignments through adobe and they were not showing my work, he did not tell me this was happening until HALFWAY THROUGH THE QUARTER. This caused me to have to resubmit my work and have a temporary F in the class. He does not respond to emails. DONT TAKE CHEM121

A little disorganized, but at the end of the day, he's a great guy willing to work with you on what you need. He ended up pushing all due dates to the end of the semester seeing as how some people were behind. He genuinely cares, but follows a different flow of teaching. Just be sure to go to the lectures and speak up if you have questions!

His lectures can be a bit long but they're understandable. He gives breaks, and quizzes are open book. He took away the late penalty for all assignments due to COVID and extended all deadlines til the end of the quarter, so he's a nice. He can be a bit late grading assignments though. Just do the hw and you will get an easy A for his class.

This instructor cares for his students and is knowledgeable, but lacks clear communication. He's slow to respond to emails & post grades, but he's an easy grader. Assignments are typically graded on effort/completion. He's not tech savvy- expect a lot of due date changes & confusing announcements. It may feel like you're teaching yourself at times.

Does not grade on time, off topic, random due date changes, inconsistent emails, etc. The class schedule and syllabus clearly stated that there would be lab lectures Mon/Wed in addition to Tu/Th lectures. He only showed up on Tu/Th. Instead of acknowledging his expectations as an instructor, he blamed students who sought to address this issue.

Mostly on own unless you asked other classmates.

Dr. C will thoroughly prepare you for the following chem courses. He's draconian about lab safety (as he should be!) but pretty relaxed otherwise. Be prepared to reformulate questions if his answers don't match what you asked. My biggest complaint is that he doesn't grade any labs until the end of the quarter so pay close attention to the rubric!
