Very knowledgeable but Very disorganized. Has lost papers and grades!
Did not like him, monotone and thinks he is the God's gift to all students
Do not take him for newswritting...you won't learn anything.
Pretty cool advisor. Only negative thing about him is the lack of accessibility to top editors of the newspaper staff.

Good teacher and wants you to learn but very hard on grading esays, confusing I would say
Very monotonous, and boring. And very unorganized.
He is a helpful teacher. I had him for the online course. He always answered e-mails clearly, and offered more help if necessary. You just read short stories and talk about them. A Few writings assignments, but not too hard. I got a B!!!
blah blah
I have purposely taken him for several different classes. He is really intelligent and helpful. He also has a very nice, dry sense of humor. He makes you work hard, but you will learn lots!
I had him for an online course. The assignments and papers weren't bad, but the tests were. The tests had unexpected questions. He wasn't pretty good at explaining things and he always got back to you if you needed help.
His clarity is poor at best. He assumes he has told you all you need to know to complete the tests. Very preoccupied with something else. Did not get back to your questions for weeks and jammed four genres into the last 2 weeks, including tests and final.
Not a very good teacher. He crammed a lot into the last week. He doesn't prepare you for the tests.
The instructions were not clear and his response to question on clarification were ignored. when he did responsed to e-mailed questions it was sporadic or non existent. This made earning a decent deserved grade impossible. Avoid or suffer.

I had him for an online course. He was very unorganized. He didn't make assignments or test objectives clear.
Took the online class, too much crammed into seven weeks, first mid term test asked for picky information, procedure/expectations for research paper not well clarified.
Fun course which teaches good writing styles by examing interesting units of literature like horror, fantasy, or sci fi. Tests are good if you study every note, listen to every lecture, and have a good memory. Paper is intersting to write. Good professor
Not bad if you like to read but, didn't always cover material and were still tested on it. Not clear on due dates even after asking.
I don't think that ENG 101 is very benificial being taught as a lecture course. Mr. Coffman knows so much about every topic that he often strays from the topic at hand. He's a nice man though and pretty fair most of the time. His sylabus is kind of strange. ex. He takes points for use of his stapl
Very unclear for due dates, often retreated to his knowledge of history as a directive. This professor never responded promptly to very important questions. Avoid at all costs.
I took his online course and his due dates for assignments were very unclear. The class wasn't too bad, lots of reading and remember all the different authors.
Very unorganized, uses stupid writing method for students to use, and if you don't use that method, will give you bad grade. I learned nothing from this man
One of the best teachers I've ever had. The amount of stuff he has available--not from notes but just in his memory--is amazing. I didn't think I'd like this class, but I learned a lot about writing with style and organization of ideas. The work isn't easy but it was a good experience.Great teacher!
Very unclear!! Could never awswer a simple question with out making it more complicated or going around the question. Did not explain what he was looking for in the assignments until after he returned them...not very helpful, when asked a question he mainly answers its on my webpage, go look it up.
DONT NOT TAKE THIS TEACHER!!!
This is one of the worst classes I have taken at RVC. Mr. Coffman is unclear and unhelpful. The entire semester I had no idea where I stood as far as my grades went. Due dates are unclear as are requirements. At the end of the semester we recieved incomplete grades but he won't respond to my emails, or calls asking why I have that grade. AVOID!!!!
Very boring and monotonous. Not helpful at all.
He was horrible at best. Didn't explain assignments even when i prodded for help. Failed me without any explanation (did all the work with good grades) and am in the process of appealing the grade. STAY AWAY!
Bored me to death and wasn't very helpful at all....I'm surprised I passed his class because I skipped it or was sleeping....he just made be fall asleep and I struggled to stay away...coffee, soda...nothing helps!

Looses people's work, not at all helpful, very confusing, goes off and doesn't talk about the main subject. AVOID
Coffman is a TERRIBLE teacher.
He skips around a lot. and talks about things that dont really matter. he gets off topic, and talks in a way that is difficult to read. he gets a sort of attitude if u ask questions, and he makes frequent spelling errors. his handwritting is very difficult to read. and his class seems so long, short poems get returned two weeks after they have been handed in. its quite annoying. if u dont have to take this class from him, i suggest not to. its not very interesting, most if it u can read for yourself.
if you must take this man for english, take him as a online course because everything is done on the internet, quizzes, lectures, etc. even though his lecture are online you gat many points off for not being in class. very boring, unstructured, avoid at all cost! you will learn nothing!!
Thought I was getting a B, gave me an A. Will give you benefit of doubt if you TRY
Frank Coffman is an awesome guy. He has a heart of gold and if you just get where he's coming from, things will go smoothly. The guy has no organization, so if you like that kind of thing, avoid him. But, if you want an easy class and an extremely understanding teacher, take Coffman (I should have gotten a D, and he gave me the chance for an A).
Avoid this eng teacher. at least the in-class version.
He knows his subject and you will learn if your pay attention. This class is definately not a walk in the park. It can be frustrating at times because he seems disorganized. You may be left wondering what you are supposed to be doing. He's helpful though if you ask questions. The grading scale is hard too!
This was an internet class and he was MIA for 3 weeks, did not return a single email. His tests are tough and the ultimate it discorganization. Unbelievable. avoid if possible- he drove me nuts!
I'm sure this prof is a nice guy, I'm sure he's brilliant in his field of Literature & Journalism.BUT my experience in his on-line summer class was terrible-I dropped. If you can quit your job, renounce your friends to keep up w/ the reading and ad-hoc assignments he comes up with and then follow his unusual and arbitrary style, then take this class
The class was having trouble with his quizzes, as the questions are often vague and we are unable to see which ones we got wrong (he uses the same questions on tests), and he became hostile and defensive and told us we weren't reading the stories if we were having trouble. He told us we "didn't have an interest in literature." I'm an English major.
He's an extremely intelligent man. However, he does not relate to students well, is completely disorganized, never responds to e-mails, often is not in his office during office hours, is extremely boring, didn't even bother to grade some of our assignments and didn't return most of them to us. He does teach about literature, but not how to write.
This guy is horrible. I came in to class 10 minutes late on test day and he said I probably wouldn't have enough time to take the test so he wouldn't let me take it. Now I have the choice of either taking a 2-letter grade reduction on my final grade, or a 3-5 page research paper (a "research note" with a definite focus and clear thesis and defense
He is the worst teacher I have ever had. He will come to class and give you a quiz on a story he supposedly told us to read, but never did. He never will return any e-mails! He is very harsh and rude. Not recommended at all!
Quite possibly the worst teacher I have ever had. Boring, mindless, never-ending lectures about nothing. Ridiculous high school-like attendence policy for missing even 1 class, yet in my semester professor missed class 6-7 times with just a note on the door. Test's were random and often not on anything we had done in class or been assigned to read
I took him for lit 144 which is a fiction class just for an elective credit. Even though I did get a B in the class, he wasnt really a great teacher. He gave the same test 3 times which was good for our sake, but besides that he pretty much sucked... I woudlnt take fiction anyway, its not that interesting, well the way he teaches anyway.
Somehow Professor Coffman has managed to miss internet class deadlines that he set himself. He will consistantly put messages up saying he will be posting next week's homework tomorrow, only to not put it up until several days later. He gives little to no feedback on discussion topics, homework, or grades.
By far the most disorganized teacher I have ever encountered. It was an online course, where email correspondence is extremely important, and he would not respond to emails for days. The work was easy, but it was so annoying to deal with the lack of correspondence. Avoid if you are looking for any good structure in your course.
By far the worst teacher I have ever had! Avoid him at all costs! I had him for an Internet class, he was so disorganized and would not respond to emails for up to a week.
Professor Coffman is a horrible teacher. I took him for an internet Eng. class and it was the worst experience of my life!! He is exremely unorganized and lack communication skills. It seems as though the professor has no desire to teach yet he is in the position to teach??? If you want to avoid a stressful experience-avoid him. He's horrible!
I never took Coffman as a teacher but he has a big part in the honors program. He is very unorganized and doesn't reply to you in a timely manner when you need help. Dates would get given to us 2 weeks before they happened then we got in trouble for not going... I do have a job!! Seems like a nice guy, just kinda unorganized.
I'm am currently in an on-line Eng 103 class with him and he is just as bad as everyone says. He will not respond back to emails even when the deadlines are on his so important syllabus. Avoid him at all cost.
I am taking this as an internet class and I have never been so frustrated with a class in my life. Though I have not finished it yet, I wish I wouldn't have ever started. The professor is extremely unresponsive (an important quality in an internet course), not understanding, the course is just way more confusing than necessary. Just DON'T TAKE IT!
i never even took the class and i hate this professor...i attempted to contact him about entering into his class late since i couldnt stand Branda...and the idiot didnt even bother responding!! so i couldnt take his class during the summer...and then this fall i contacted him and on the email history it didnt even show he read it! he deleted it!
I took Prof. Coffman's online literature course, and I've never met a less helpful teacher in my life. He refused to answer e-mails or forum posts, failed to post promised links to readings, and didn't send our midterm to the testing center.
terrible terrible terrible. i have him now for british literaure. we took our first test last week and he decided not to show up so we now have to restudy and take it AGAIN. avoid him at all costs. not helpful. not funny. cannot teach. overall bad bad bad. unbearably boring. loads of useless information and hes very arrogant all the time. don't tak
I'm now in both his internet English 103 and his British Literature 206 courses. What a mistake! THE most useless, unhelpful professor I've ever come across! In class he answers questions blandly and arrogantly, and online he usually doesn't answer them at all or gives you an unhelpful, obvious response! He never keeps grades up to date! AVOID!
Zomg. THE most boring class I have ever taken in my life. I thought the class would include WRITING poetry, but instead all it is is him reading boring poems TO you. DO NOT take this class. Biggest waste of my time...EVER!!
This guy was so boring n he is definetly not what you'd say is the model professor for teaching a class like poetry. Im surprised i even passed cuz he just rambled on and barely explained anything where you could understand. He came up with lame excuses for not showing up and was continuously late to his class. Don't take him, pick someone else.
Very intelligent proffesor who knows quite a bit about his topic. His tests are hard, and good note-taking is a MUST. If you are interested in poetry, you would do well to take this course. If you are not, you will probably find it boring and confusing. To get a good grade: 1) Attend all classes, 2) Ask questions about homework, 3) TAKE GOOD NOTES!
Extremely boring class but easy. He always goes off on pointless stories. You only have to write 3 papers and they can be as long as you want, which i loved cause half of my papers were only 2 pages and I always got B's on them.
Great teacher. VERY easy. I am in his summer online class and all we do is read short storys and take 5 question tests on them. Best online professor ive had :)
HE IS A TERRIBLE, NEVER RESPONDS TO HIS ONLINE STUDENTS PROMPTLY. MESSED UP MY GRADE, HE REFUSED TO FIX HIS ERROR AND IT HAD TO BE DONE THROUGH THE DEAN AND NEVER AN APOLOGY...HOW ARROGANT! I WOULD TELL ANYONE TO AVOID HIM IF YOU CAN
Genuinely nice professor, gets off topic, but if you can catch him at his office, he's more than happy to clarify anything you may miss along the way. His encouragement was one of the foundations of a career.
Coffman is SO monotone, is not even funny. He is a nice guy but he gets off topic so easily. His class is mandatory attendance but he makes is so easy to skip because the class is so uninteresting.
Frank Coffman is not easy to get ahold of. I had questions regarding my grade and i had emailed him and got no response. I had approached him in class and asked him if he has recieved my email and he said he had read part of it and asked what it said. I never really got help or answers to the questions i had. Take a different Prof. if you can.
He talks too quitely to hear, and goes off on a lot of tangents. A horrible class for people who need answers and help. He never has any reveiws for his tests, and has all the same material on EVERY single test. carbon copies. Oh, and he thinks his C.R.I.S.P. method is the greatest invention in the world.
The worst, most pointless class. He didn't review anything that would be on the test, and he would throw in random sections the day of the test that we never even discussed! I hardly ever took notes because rarely anything i wrote down was even on the test. Bought a textbook that I never even opened and he never even mentioned in class.
This class was horrible because of the teacher. I love English and he was the worst teacher ever! He frequently decided not to show up for class AND not tell anyone... Definitely take another teacher if you can.
I had him my first semester in person for JRN 122, and took ENG 103 with him online. The in-person experience was better than the online experience. As others have mentioned, he is disorganized and fails at communicating with his online sections. That stated, I got an A in the class, stick with it and do the work; you'll pass.
Took his summer online course. The material was fun/interesting. He often would not respond to public or private questions. He was disorganized when starting a new system but worked out the kinks after a few weeks. Wish he would communicate better with students.
Super nice guy, but not the greatest teacher. He's disorganized, gets off track, and repeats himself a lot. I feel like a lot of class time was wasted.
Gets off track way too much. Doesn't like to explain anything, and the notes he writes on the board are so scattered around that nobody can follow. He write one word notes like "blindness" But tests you on the things he should have talked about. Terrible teacher. Definitely avoid him at all costs.
He is disorganized, especially when writing notes. He frequently "digresses" (his word), and he misses more classes than any of my other professors. There is a lot of merit to what he is teaching, but he is simply incapable of teaching it effectively. Truly, his class is a waste of time.
Took his online class. A lot reading and lots of discussion assignments. Doesn't respond to personal emails or public posts. He is unorganized, even his tests. Tests on things he never went over. Takes off points for everything. Takes off a lot of points of missed attendence. Doesn't clarify what he wants. Do not recommend him.
Doesn't use the text book. This class should be the C.R.I.S.P. Method class, because that's his focus. Doesn't often grade things. After the first 8 weeks, I hadn't recieve 1 grade and truned in 12 assignments. Spent the class reading short stories, then was tested on something completely different.
Wow. I wish I had known about this site before I took Professor Coffman's online class. Unorganized, yes. No responses to posts made online, email, etc., yes. No study guides (going into tests almost blind), yes. Most of these comments about him are true! However; I did get an A, but I have no idea how since there was very little feedback.
Took his mythology class. Would not recommend it to anyone. I was really interested in the topic which is why I took the class. He gets off topic constantly and talked frequently about Lord of the Rings and Star Wars. You have to study every little thing meticulously in order to get a good grade.
I hated this man. He talks in a very monotoned voice and I could not keep my interest at all. His tests were made on material that wasn't even thoroughly covered. Never again.
Wow... How is this man still teaching. By far the most unorganized instructor I have ever taken. All post before me are true. On top of that he looses work and expects you to resubmitt it 1 month after you turned it in??? You would not believe the level of frustration this instructor will bring. Take any other instructor... BUT AVOID PROF. COFFMAN!
DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS! I took this class online and he was the most unorganized teacher I have ever had! He is unclear with what he wants! One time he posted an assignment and expected to be due that very same day. He grades very hard. He doesn't respond to emails. TAKE ENGLISH 103 FROM A DIFFERENT TEACHER. YOU WILL BE SORRY IF YOU TAKE HIS CLASS!!
NEVER AGAIN! This man is horrible. I've always been in honors, AP, English courses with no problems what so ever and have always gotten an A. His online course is completely unorganized and his horrible with helping you with any sort of issue. DO NOT take him. I'm not sure how he is in a classroom but online he completely fails. How is he a prof.?!
not sure what everyone's issue with him is. I took it over the summer so everything was really condensed and we had to go through EVERYTHING in a short amount of time but it really wasn't that bad. His tests aren't hard.. just confusing because of the layout. I hate english usually but kinda enjoyed it... and got an A.
He is an AWFUL teacher. He rambles on about worthless things, then tests you on things you never learned. DO NOT TAKE HIM if you can avoid it. Also, I took one of his classes online thinking he couldnt screw that up and he posted things for you to do and they would be due hours later, even on weekends. MISERABLE
Worst prof ever! Took the online class, did all the work. Got an F on a paper that I turned in! How do you get an F when you do the work? Unfair. No response from him about it when I asked. I got the top grade on the final and saved my grade. I usually get A's in English easily. Got a C this time. Avoid this guy!!
He's a good professor if you actually pay attention and do the work. It's not hard and he's not terribly hard on grading. He is pretty boring though..
Horrible professor. I have not learned a single thing in his class and we are past midterms.I think I have a C in his class when I have been in Honors english classes all throughout high school. Tell me how that works?
If you are pretty good at writting papers, then i definetly recommend him. i fell a sleep in his class a couple times and got great grades on my papers, its pretty easy
Horrible Teacher, I'm good at writing papers. You're pretty much spending money on nothing. He cancelled class 3 times the semester, tests are stupid dumb. And he still is somewhats harsh on grading papers. Doesn't help with meeting with you.
Despite what people have to say about Coffman, hes not a bad guy. I'm not sure if he teaches higher level classes, but I'm in 101 and am still attending EHS. Most of the students can't write a paper to save their lives, Don't mind the reviews. He grades everything on a curve and even let me turn in a paper late with no deductions. Overall B grade.
I took the online version of this class and all i have to say is DO NOT TAKE HIM! I have no idea what he is like in a normal class, but online was terrible. He responded to emails about a week after you sent them and is not clear on what he expects for assignments. My whole class had difficulty with him wich reflects him as a teacher.
Avoid! He rambles,in a monotone voice which is the hardest thing to follow, especially because he talks and talks about irrelevant things. You don't learn anything and there is a lot of online (disorganized) reading. The tests seems out of place too, and he doesn't even have a good attitude. Don't make the same mistake I did; Do not take him.
He is so boring. In order to take him you have to like listening to someone with a monotone. He is also very picky about the way he grades which is also on the liberal arts scale instead of what the rest of the college uses. Its harder to get an A in his class.
Horrible. Tests are beyond confusing and during our final he stopped us several times to add in answer options. It was bad. Please don't take if at all possible.
i do not recommend. teaches about random stuff and laughs at himself more than anything it is very hard to stay awake listening to him. test are very difficult not to mention he is one of the very few that actually gives out tests in 101. only plus is grades essays averagely.
DO NOT TAKE ONE OF HIS CLASSES! Coffman is a horrible teacher! He makes me so frustrated and I dread going to his English class - I even like English! :( His test are ridiculous and he is unclear on everything. Whatever you do, just don't take him...
By far the worst teacher I have ever taken at any school. He's not helpful, he makes you feel dumb for asking questions. Rough grader. It was online and he was very unorganized.
Terrible teacher. Enjoys laughing at himself, doesn't give students the time of day when asking questions. Wouldn't recommend! Tests are very difficult, and have a very unorganized set up. Worst teacher ever.
STAY AWAY. His grading scale is based off of Liberal Arts and a 75% is a D. His tests are beyond confusing. He bores you to death, thinking you understand what he's talking about. I got a D which is failing in that class. STAY AWAY. I am very good at English and this is not cool.
STAY AWAY FROM HIM. he treats the class as a history of English class instead of a general course to help write papers
Professor Coffman has a slightly eccentric style of teaching. Many younger, uninterested students may find his class difficult. If you have an interest in literature you will enjoy his class thoroughly, however, if you don't it will be arduous. I highly recommend his class to anyone seeking a degree in any area of English/Journalism.
Awful professor. Not a bad guy, but an awful teacher. He is nice as a person but is not in shape to be teaching. He does not teach what is in the course description. He rambles. I am an English major and do not agree with his way of teaching. Very dull and boring class. Do not recommend for anyone
I love English. This is byfar the hardest class I have ever taken. Coffman is a great person; however, his course objectives and expectations are that of a Masters student. He grades on the liberal arts scale, 93-B,83-C,73-D,63-F. If you're a thrill seeker and are looking for a unrealistic challenge. Take this course. Misses class frequently.
Not a good professor what so ever, doesn't explain himself, grades extremely tough and lectures are useless, he gets off topic during his lectures.
I honestly have no idea what he is talking about. I think he believes that he is teaching philosophy. Tough grader and lectures are very boring. wouldn't recommend.
Terrible overall, his tests are all matching 100 questions and beyond challenging. In high school I was in honorsAP and got an A in ENG 101. His lectures are boring as ever and laughs at himself most of the time. I would NOT recommend taking this class even for a potential English major. STAY AWAY. You'll thank me later.
dude was a horrible teacher he made his test very confusing. And marks your papers up badly . Make sure you are there everyday if not will be behind. Also he goes on and on talking about nothing for a half hour.
The professor is a nice guy, but a terrible professor. He teaches old English if you like that.. He does not tell you what he expects from your papers. There is not much feedback on what you did wrong. Tests are very hard, and not very clear on what to study. He never emails back.
His lectures seem to take hours, his assignments are a tad bit confusing, and he reminds me of my grandfather. Nice guy just needs to revamp the course.
Ok I would not recommend this teacher AT ALL!! I'm sorry I just wouldn't anytime I need help I email him HE NEVER EMAILS BACK LIKE EVER. His lectures are way to long and way to confusing it makes me fall asleep I'm in his ENG103 class and for the first couple of weeks its quizzes. you even have quizzes on the Syllabus WHAAAT!!!
horrible teacher! Teaches old English. Test are extremely tough that he doesn't change semester to semester, so there is stuff on there you don't know. Goes on and on about nothing. Takes off points if you are not in class. Doesn't tell you what he wants on the papers its all outside of class. Needs to be fired. Bought 2books and havent used once
Tests are never about what you learned in class, doesn't explain papers very well.
I don't like how he rambles during lectures. There's a big difference because I never learn from anything he said in class, maybe only a few things. And I'm always sleeping in that class because he's that boring. I'm not a bad student but it's because of him that I think I might fail that class. Nobody has time for that honestly.
I lliked him enough to take both 101 and 103. He tells you on the first day of class that he does not give out As, but an A is still possible. You must attend every class or you will fail. There are 3 tests that he curves based on the high score. He gives 5 papers where he gives no guidelines, so you can write about whatever you want.
Teacher doesn't make any sense at all never take a class with him
He lost two of my essays. The last one was at the end of the semester, I emailed him about and he never responded so it stayed a 0. He is very unorganized. Do yourself a favor and take a different professor. I don't know a single person that enjoyed his class or learned something beneficial.
Very long and boring lectures. Tests are often on stuff he did not talk about. Also has a very monotone voice.
I don't know what I was thinking by taking this class. He's all over the place with his lectures and I have yet to find how they apply. He's hard to understand and there has been numerous times when he just wont show up for class and tells no one. Prepare to hear "Check to syllabus" even when its not in it. :)
DO NOT TAKE if you actually want to pass!!! Assigns tons of online quizzes, is not clear on assignments AT ALL and nearly every lecture is completely irrelevant! (not to mention boring). He is a very nice guy just extremely bland. I have always succeeded in English and nobody in my class has a grade higher than a 70!
Professor Coffman is the worst professor I have ever had. Nice guy, but a terrible professor. ENG206 is a CREATIVE WRITING CLASS. His lectures were boring, repetitive, and very uncreative. We did 3 in-class creative assignments, the last two suggested by me. The first two exams are the same, but the third has unimportant content he went over once.
I've only been taking English 103 for a few weeks and so far the majority of our lecture has been pointless information that he stated we wouldn't even use. Besides being extremely boring, he canceled class without any notice and blamed it on the "long process to get it approved", when other professors were able to do so on a much shorter notice.
Professor misses class, unexpected by students that are present to learn, but expects students to do work and be prepared for class. He does not give information on materials in lecture, expects students to find information on own. Multiple times he will "call student out" in front of entire class.
I often pity him due to the rudeness of others. He's an old man that's been teaching English for awhile and you can tell he enjoys it. He's a wonderful professor and definitely knows his material. Most students just fail to realize that this is college & not all teachers are bubbly and lenient. His class requires real work as a university would.
His method of teaching, "old English" can be interesting, yes. But everyone sleeps in that class. Save your time and energy. I can barely hear his voice and I sit in second row. His test are so complicated!!
I am taking his online Eng 103 class Spring 2017 and expected it to be a challenge but the number of reading assignments was unreal. I am enjoying the variety of content but there is no real forum for questions and he answers emails (if he answers) with check the syllabus. He seems to add additional assignments at-will.
He adds assignments without telling anyone. His tests are filled with ambiguous questions. However, the questions are essentially copied from his lectures, so it is possible to answer them with proper notes. Very bad at time management. Syllabus seems to be copied from previous classes with few changes. Does not grade on normal scale.
Professor Coffman's lectures are spoken in a monotone, and filled with information that is only slightly relevant to the course. Because he believes that too much help cripples a student, he errors on the side of not helping enough. He is passionate about literature, but he makes it really boring. I love English, but not in this class!
Professor Coffman isn't a really bad guy; it's just REALLY boring in class to hear him speak in his monotone way. I pity him because everyone is either asleep or on their phones. The content he lectures in class isn't really clear; you don't know what you really need to know, and what is just fluff. He doesn't tie all the information together.
I took ENG 101 online with professor Coffman and it was such an unpleasant experience I almost decided not to return to school as I had planned. I work full time and had not been in school for 5 years. I expected the class to be challenging- but was not prepared for the level of irrelevant busy work, and unprofessional attitude we got from him.
I don't know where to even start. I have his English class online and honestly he doesn't follow the syllabus and is nonexistence. If you email him anything expect three weeks for a response back. He's also very unclear on whats expected of an assignment. He takes forever to grade papers and exams. You can pass the class but it's mostly self-taught
Took it online and it sucks. He never contacts you back and its online class. Don't take his class.
Syllabus can be confusing, but if you read through it carefully you'll be fine. Doesn't always follow the due dates in the syllabus so be aware. Very descriptive in essay topics, even gives study guides for essays and exams. Didn't care for going into RVC to take exams, but they were pretty easy for the most part.
Lets just say I emailed him within the first month of class. And today April 27th I finally got him to email me back. His syllabus is unnecessarily long, class is a drag, you can never tell if what he is talking about pertains to the course or if he's going off topic and rambling. He assumes that everyone is in his class loves english as much ashim
You should expect at least a month for a response about any questions. And the most damning thing is he is super unclear about what he expects from his students. He tells you to "follow the syllabus" which is a cluster to say the least. You will receive ZERO input from him so its up to you to teach yourself!
