keeps class interesting

Very cool teacher. easy A, just show up to class, do little homeworks, and you'll get an A or B. The only time you will need your book is when you will have a test. Final is easy. If you need easy grade, take him!

Frank is the most funniest guy in the world! His class is based of PP's & literally points to each slide & tells you if its going to be on the test. He's owned his own business so gives a lot of real life experiences. 4 exams & one homework sheet. BEST CLASS I HAVE TAKEN! BTW! Professor Frank, i hope you read this! This professor was the most important for me so far in my college classes. He knows what he is talking about and uses all kinds of teaching tools and a textbook for the course. He is so helpful and he really knows what he's talking about. He teaches a lot through instructional videos. We got to watch things such as "Inside: Dolce and Gabbana" which is a really cool change from your average lecture. His class is never boring and I highly recommend! If you respect him, he will reciprocate, but he does't tolerate laziness.

Difficult, but very fair. He focuses on you learning the material and being able to apply it. You MUST read if you want to do well. His tests are very hard, but a relatively small part of the grade. Lots of small writing assignments. If you work hard, you will do well. This is a professor I would take again in a heartbeat.

Teacher is definitely knowledgeable, he expects you to attend class every class. Will work with you if you have issues only if you go through the proper channels first eg. Mcgraw hill support. I took 5 tests including the final in the 8 week class. Make sure you participate in class so he knows you.

Mr. Ferrera is the real MVP! Participate in class, make your presence known. Engage him and the course and he will be fair with you! Demonstrate a genuine interest/curiosity in the course and you will go far here! The online textbook was in use more than the physical copy. We reviewed chapters using powerpoint.

Spend the time reading the textbook. Reading can be intensive some weeks. If you keep pace with the assignments and understand the material, you might find yourself rewarded on exams and when completing assignments and projects.

One of the best professors I have ever had, no lie. Professor F cares about his students, grades work quickly, is fair, and handles conflict well. There were weekly discussion posts, quizzes, readings, few homework assignments, and two exams. The class is very manageable. Take Professor F, you will not regret it, I promise.

I took Professor F. class online. You will have to read a lot, build a portfolio, and do a lot of discussions. The book will be your best friend for this class. For all your assignments do research and include sources that will make your argument stronger. Class is not heavy for an 8 week section. TAKE HIM if you need to take a BUS class!!

Professor Ferrara does offer wonderful feedback on everything that you submit to him for grading. I was extremely pleased with this as it only encouraged me to excel in everything that I did. The course is a lot of weekly work, and would probably be best for a 12 or 16 week session rather than 8, but it is doable if you are willing to commit to it.

Professor Ferrara is not difficult to grade the extra credit and exams. 2 texts are online and 2 in class. All you need to do to pass this course is doing your assignment, quiz, and always try to discuss in class. The test may be difficult because he won't give you the answers so you need to prepare well for the exam. I recommend professor Ferrara

I had Professor Ferrara this semester. I really can't complain about him. He knows his stuff, through his life experiences. It was a hybrid class. A lot of the work was in Mindtap. It can be time consuming. I was able to learn more in his classroom than the online part. Good Professor, but plan on doing the work for a good grade.

I was a little scared to take this course online but professor Ferrara is a amazing. He replies quick to emails and offers extra credit. All the due dates and assignments are posted online, I highly recommend him. It's not so much an easy A but as long as your do the assignments your certainly be happy with your grade.

He is an amazing professor! As long as you do all of the assignments, do good on the exams, and show up for class and participate, you will end up with a very good grade in the class. He will go back and curve the grades, rewarding you for effort and trying. Also, his exams are easy if you take good notes, which you are allowed to use on the exams.

I took this class during summer for a 5 weeks class and I was very skeptical because of the fast pace. Prof. Ferrara was absolutely amazing. He always makes references to the real world and he makes sure we understand all concepts. We had 5 exams: 3 online and 2 in class. Just read the chapters and take notes and you'll love this class!

ELI Course. The class is pretty writing intensive. There is a weekly one page journal AND group discussion (with responses). There is homework typically 3 chapters a week. There are two exams. You can use an 8 by 11 cheat sheet on both exams. If you read the book and do the homework you should be alright in this class. Tough but fair.

ELI Summer course. A lot of reading and writing. 3 chapters a week usually, a quiz for each, a discussion board due Wednesday night, and journal weekly journal entry. 2 exams, were pretty tough. No group assignments which made it easier to focus on the weekly topic. More difficult then expected but the usual for an online course.

He really truly cares about you passing the class and leaving with more knowledge. so he makes 2/4 test take home. open notes everything. do your learnsmarts and you should be good. participation is necessary, make sure you do your current events very class or its going to get uncomfortable. other than that highly recommend Professor Ferrara. does

The guy is amazing. He encourages us to think critically and tries to teach everybody to be prepared. He mentions jobs with any new topic. We have debates and get many chances to voice our own opinions. You'll do great if you show up and get in the conversation. I would tell you to be prepared for class, most homework is on line. I took Professor Ferrera for an 8 week International Business online course. As with all online courses, there is a lot of work. If you take the 8 week, expect 3 full chapter Learn Smarts+3 chapter quizzes,a discussion + journal entry 1 week of work. But if you do the work, READ the chapters, you can pass with an A. cheat sheet allowed for exams!

I took the online International Business Class in Hybrid section. IT IS HARD, and a lots of work to do. But I rather taking it short and heavy instead of in long-term. He is very clear, gives good feedback. Test is hard but he does give you mercy and curve at the end. Other than the exams, all the homeworks are totally up to your dedication. Easy!

If you are prepared, you will breeze through. Prof F works with everybody, trying to get us to think for ourselves. Lots of good video. This is BUS 280

All quizzes & assignments are online which are easy to do. 2 exams are online & he allows only HANDWRITTEN notes & 2 other exams are taken in class which are open notes too. Loved the easy class participation & discussions made it really fun I would definitely take him again! Be prepared to get called on. He also curves tests so students pass.

Give Prof F (he signs email like that) a chance. He had most book work on line and classes are for discussions, debates, movies to think about business. He doesn't allow phone and laptops for class, but doesn't allow any other use. He is funny and has a lot of business exp. Take him? Yes, I will take more classes with him in the Fall.

I took BUS 100 in the fall and I loved him, but his lectures are pretty easy as long as you go over them before you enter class then you will be caught up. As a introduction class the class itself is pretty easy, he answers any questions you have. Everything is on the syllabus which is easy to follow. Its an easy A just show up and participate.

Take him if you really want to passHe really helps and wants you to pass the class and he really wants you to learn. Besides learnsmart (textbook) he teaches you how to use your critical thinking skills and evaluate information from news articles and doc films. 3/5th of tests are take aways don't miss too many classes and participate, You're fine.

He's great. Class is fun. More class is prepared, less lecture and more debate, videos, class discussions. I looked at other comments, but took him spring this year. Professor F is super calm, if you easily fall asleep in classes i recommend you do not take him. He does not kick students out, he just asks them to step out to prepare for the class and come back in, in a polite manner. I took SDV and BUS 100 for summer and I had more work to do for SDV then his class. Just show up and pay attention PASS!!!

He is great, took him for a 5 week summer course and it was easy. Participation is worth 200 points so you really need to research your articles and come prepared to class and just actively participate. Exams were open note, only hand written notes allowed. Read the syllabus before you ask him any questions! I would take him again.

10 out of 10 would take a class with this professor again! The way he outline the course and worked with me to better understand the material though critical analysis of my work really helped me get the best grade possible.

I participated in the 8-week online extended learning (ELI) course and passed with an easy A. I suggest the journal entries be an overview of the chapters learned because you are allowed to bring a sheet (front/back) for the midterm and final. Overall an easy grade with minimal effort! Also, he curves!

This man has a bunch of real-world examples so he does not read from the textbook which was very refreshing for me at least. The homework and quizzes are online as well as some exams so the class is manageable, plus you get some cool in class discussions. One warning class participation is a big thing, be ready to talk and speak your mind

Pretty much a self taught course. The first exam is mostly based on the vocabulary definitions. The second exam consisted of knowledge from the textbook and the study guide. He curves the exams so don't worry, you'll probably pass.

Caring, respected instructor who inspired many of his students. I loved his tight spandex shirt that says "it's on the syllabus". He was very charming, yes. Always willing to help his students, sometimes he would kick out students who were not prepared but in the end of the day... he was very compassionate. I would give him a chili pepper

He's done everything in business & has lots & years of experience. There are 4 exams. 1st & 3rd exams are online & 2nd & 4th are in class & open note. You have to study 5 chapters for each exam & complete your learnsmarts due before exams. Come prepared with a news article & your review of it everytime, participate, & never miss 1 class. He's nice!

I took him online and his class was simple & straightforward. Had to purchase online textbook(McGraw Hill), and every week had to read 3 chapters (which can be time consuming). There is discussion board and journals every week. Overall, he's a easy grader but his exams are hard so make sure to read the chapters thoroughly. He curves the final grade

This professors class was the best. He lets you know from day one what kind of guy he is. He states on the first day: "Call me Ferrari Frank, Professor Ferrara is my father". 4 Exams: 2 online, 2 open note. Easy A. Ferrari Frank is rambunctious about his Italian ties, and said he served in Vietnam with their Air Force. Inspirational man.

Frank Ferrara or as the students call him Dr Ferrari, is NOT everyones cup of tea. He will challenge you academically and push you to your breaking point. The people who complain about his course expect his class to be like high school but Dr Ferrari is a college course that has taught me more than any other course has, inspiration at nvcc

I had the privilege to sit in Dr Ferraris world renowned business international course, after his course. i feel ready for the business world like wall street. Frank Ferrara is a well rounded professor who was available often during office hours and in class to answer any questions. He explained concepts very simply, he was also a "foodie". He would reference his cooking endeavors such as tossing the saled and using the dutch oven. He inspired many of his students to continue their education. Thx Ferrari

Hes so funny, and tries to be relatable by having self-defecating humor and does not take himself serious. Hes a really nice person and will go out his way to help you. TAKE HIM!!
