Very helpful if you have any questions, he will always be willing to give further explanation, promptly answers e-mails, pretty fair about missing class if you have a valid reason. Intro class EASY!!! Greek class fairly easy if you have a bit of interest in History and study for essay tests.

Professor Fierro is a sweet guy. He explains things throughly if you don't understand and he grades papers easy. His class can make you zone out, but its an easy grade and he's a really nice guy. We only do 3 papers and the tests are simple.

This guy is cool, well he gives a fairly easy class. Just several papers that need to be written. Easy A's if you do the work. He's into stuff like monty python and lord of the rigns, if you like that stuff take him. He likes his job from what i can tell.

This class is fairly easy.Attendance is not even mandatory only on study guide days. His study are nothing like the tests though.I would reccommend him but he has an odor that you can barely stand.

Very Recommended! 2 Tests: Midterm, Final (these are 3 essay questions given to you a week before test). 3 or 4 essays which are graded pretty easy with an opportunity of 10 extra credit points on each if you hand in early. and maybe a small attendance grade. I took his on campus 6wk summer class. It was 3hrs but not too terrible to sit through.Fair grader as long as you back up your answers. Everything is written but its a Gordon Rule class what do you expect. 3 easy papers, a midterm and a final. Easy if you pay attention. Great teacher!

I used to hate the Greeks and Romans, but Professor Fierro teaches the class as if everything was a story...it's really interesting. The essays are easy (if you pay attention), and the test questions are given before the actual test. If you take notes, you won't have any problems preparing for tests. Excellent class!

I have taken two classes with this professor....he is very interesting to listen to which makes going to class enjoyable. He is extremely helpfuland while there are 3 essays to write for Gordon Rule but he does NOT saddle you with busy work. No homework and just a midterm and a final which he helps you prepare for. You will like and learn alot.

Best Humanities Professor at Valencia. Makes class interesting and fun on subjects that are usually boring. Only 3 HW assignments all semester and thats because its a Gordon Rule Class. But even then he breaks up the work load so you have a whole month to do an assignment. Not only a fair and easy teacher but you learn a lot and hes pretty funny.

This class was a breeze. Very light work load, all he does is lecture every class, but he makes it pretty entertaining. He's funny, very nice, and helpful. I definitely recommend taking this class if you don't like stress.

Great teacher! Super simple. 3 short papers 3 longer papers (gordon rule). Give out study guide for midterm and final. LECTURES EVERY CLASS. He adds small facts that don't help with the class but help keep it interesting. If you take him, you won't regret it!!

Do your work, pay attention in class and finish the study guide and you're set to get an A+. Anybody who gets anything less than A is working hard to fail.

Great professor. Managers to lecture wiout putting people to sleep, and he encouraged group discussions which made everything a lot more interestng! I would take him again. You will get an A, and you will learn a lot if you just do your work and pay attention!

I loved this class and Professor Fierro! The class is set up to be conversational so it makes it interesting because you actually become involved. His tests are in essay form, but if you paid attention in class, and you should because you'll learn a lot, you'll actually do great! I highly recommen Professor Fierro! Best teacher ever!

It's such a relief to be able to walk into this class and just listen to professor. He makes you feel as though you're apart of the lecture and pitching in ideas. He won't discourage anybody if they may slip up and say something silly. He makes learning fun and his class is simple when it comes to assignments. Just a few essays and you're good.

This is the easiest class ever. I actually learned a lot. He loves humanities and it shows. He makes you understand everything by teaching it the simplest way possible. He doesn't try to outsmart you. We wrote 3 papers, took a midterm and a final. VERY EASY!

This class is very clear and to the point. 3 papers, one midterm and one final (non cumulative). He is vert clear when it comes to what he expects and he's tough grader on his paper, grammar wise. His lectures are very helpful and informative overall its and easy class and not a complete drag.

I took his flex start summer class for Intro to Hum, which was three hours long, but it went by so quick every time. I will take Professor Fierro any chance I get. Highly recommended. Easy class. I had him for intro to humanities. We only used the textbook for 1 essay. You have 3 easy 4 page essays. There is a mid term and a final exam. The study guide is very helpful for the exams. No presentations. You will need to take notes so you can fill out the study guides. Interesting.

Great professor. I took him for several courses. Very passionate about teaching. He clearly loves what he does. Don't be afraid to ask questions or get involved with the discussions. I hate using the term "Easy A", but seriously, if you're failing, you're doing something wrong.

Great Professor, he is very passionate about the subjects he teaches. He makes the material easy to understand, and he provides study guides for the midterm and final. There are three essay's you have to write, and proper grammar is important when he grades the essays.

Follow the syllabus, study the guides, due all the assignments and you will pass the class.

Fierro is a great professor, as long as you respect him and do your part he has no problem making the semester a piece of cake, he's very funny and gives very few essays, that are not difficult. took him in the summer and loved him!

I honestly enjoyed this professor much more than I expected. As long as you show up and put in the time for the handful of assignments he gives, you should pass no problem. He pokes fun at both historical and current events to make the material more interesting which is a great bonus.

I enjoyed this class thoroughly. I would take his class again just to have him as a professor. I loved his night classes, but I'm sure his day classes are just as funny. I learned a lot in his class aswell. You must take notes in order to do well in this course though because most of the course material is spoken, but that's not hard if you listen

Best lecturer I've ever listened to by far. Prof Fierro has a way of making a lecture just feel like "story time" because of his practical, charismatic, matter of fact speaking. He pairs every fact with well chosen pictures and works of art that help too. Attendance is mandatory but it's okay since I looked forward to every single class.

Professor F is a caring person. his grading criteria is clear and he is very understanding. He is extremley nice and calm and he makes sure he goes over the lesson for you to understand. He also gives extra credit opportunities! I would say Professor F is a great person but the subject itself is boring. But he tries his best to teach ango over.

Great teacher. Big on lectures so take lots of notes, and he can cover a lot of material in one day so you don't want to miss too many classes either. His study guides are very vague but he's always good about answering questions. You wont really need the book for this class except maybe on one occasion, but I don't recommend buying it. Solid Professor, literally like 3 writing assignments throughout the semester and ur midterm/final. An A is very doable, but he does tend to be a harsh grader on the papers. Hes very woke and his lectures are amazing. If you have a good class that participates it will be fun. Plus he lets you have 5 absences. Book is expensive though

He was a good teacher and I learned many things in his class. But he is a tough grader when it comes to papers. The tests were pretty easy if you study and take notes. TAKE NOTES! TAKE NOTES! TAKE NOTES! I cannot express this enough.

I had to deal with taking this class online due to COVID but it was overall really easy. The textbook however is about 90 dollars and you would only use it once for an essay. Only had three assignments and they were all essays and he's an easy grader. Attendance is through discussions and it was overall really easy.

He was very clear cut; laid out the course for you and his exceptions. He really appreciates participation. You will learn a lot and he very attentive to his discussions and to details. He has great notes and if you read them they will make you love. He makes the topics so interesting. I loved this course.

His module for Greeks & Roman consist of two weekly discussions, four writing assignments, chapters tests, 1 mid term exam, and 1 final exam. I admire how Professor Fierro made me feel like I was back during the Golden Age era by sharing my thoughts of the Greeks & Roman's went through. He responds back in discussions to. Take him for HUM.

I like how Professor Fierro takes you back in time during the Greek and Roman era. Allowing students to voice their opinions in discussions as if we're in those times. You have two discussion do weekly as your assignments, the chapters quizzes,and 4 paper assignments, mid term and final exams. He's very active in discussion with feedback.

Professor Fierro is great! In class, he really knows how to thoroughly explain what he's teaching. He makes it easy for his students to understand the material by using modern day examples. He's very kind and funny, and his class is very interesting. I would 100% recommend taking his class. He doesn't assign much work either, just read the notes.

Good professor & responds fast. Theres only 3 papers, a midterm, and a final. The papers are spread out and you have a month to do them. Midterm and final consisted of MC, T/F, and typed responses. Every week theres 2 discussions for attendance (can have 5 absenses). Only 5 total things in gradebook though, so every assignment and point matters.

I took this class online and it was great. You have 2 weekly discussions which are straightforward. He likes to include a little bit of humor in his PowerPoints. There are 3 writing assignments for the entire class, each around 1000 words or so, and he gives extra credit for turning them in early, even if you turn them in the day before. TAKE HIM.

Took this professor for Intro to Humanities and then Greek and Roman, which was a great decision. He welcomes you at the start of class, has very engaging lectures, and is very patient when you need something repeated or reexplained. I found the class very refreshing as he'd share interesting news from articles he found at the start of every class.

There are 2 weekly discussion posts and you can miss 5 before points are deducted. There are only 3 papers that aren't too long and he gives options on the prompts. The only tests are the midterm and final, and he gives a study guide for both. He responds quickly to emails and gives feedback on your papers.

He was a great professor! Our attendance would be discussion posts. Overall, there were only 3 major assignments throughout the whole semester! His instructions for the papers, are easy to follow. He will also give bonus points if you turn in the assignment early! The course is also interesting, with all the historic art and culture.

He responds fast, never more than 24 hours. The class consisted of 2 weekly discussions every week and responses to two students. assignment were 3 mini papers 1.5 - 2 pages on the book. 2nd graded assignment was a paper 3.5 - 4 pages long. 1 midterm 1 final. Does offer extra credit 10pts if you turn in your paper before the due date.

Professor Fierro is quick to respond and provides clear instructions. The course has few assignments, but each one carries a lot of weight. Unstuckstudy was a lifesaver for prepping the essays and exams. Overall, an engaging class if you stay on top of the work.

Best professor I had. His grading is easy to understand, gave me a 2nd chances to submit late works.. There were only 3 assignments and 2 tests/quizes the entire semester, and he provides students with study guides that are IDENTICAL to the test, so it is basically a guaranteed A+.
