He was honestly one of the worst professors I have ever had and I would not recommend him to anyone. He is very unorganized and not savvy with webcourses so he did not know how to use it the entire semester. Get the book you will need it to teach yourself if you take this guy. The TA's were better professors than him. Pick someone else if you can.
Well organized course. Weekly pattern of reading, quiz and a short written assignment. The book will help you on the quizzes, but don't get dependent on it to the point that you aren't reading for an understanding, be sure to understand what you read. The final was all application questions. Plenty of extra credit available, so take advantage.
I'm not normally one to write a review on here but I feel everyone deserves to know what it's like to have Frank Enrique Guerra as a professor. 1- In other classes the syllabus tells you whatwhen things are due, not in this class. 2- Watch the first few lectures to know what will be expected from you. 3- Your grade on webcourses IS NOT YOUR GRADE
Horrible class. Essays and online homework every week. Easy and no issue. The problems lies in the fact that we have no clue what our grades our. Only grades online are essays. Syllabus doesn't say where the point distribution even comes from. Professor doesn't communicate. Overall pretty terrible experience.
Prof. Guerra has such a fun personality and relates lecture material to real-life pop culture to keep the class interesting. Short essay each week on frivolous topics. Weekly online Connect assignments were super easy. Lectures were useful to hear his announcements. This class was not difficult but the final exam (only test) was horrifying.
This was literally the easiest class I have ever taken in my life. Homework was just an essay per week (250 - 500 words--easy!) and an unlimited attempt short homework assignment also online. UNLIMITED ATTEMPTS. I did not watch a single lecture or read the book, and I received a 100 in the class. Best decision I ever made.
1 Final Exam, HW & Essays. Lectures was AMAZING and very interactive! Very fun class, thought i was going to dread the lectures! TAKE him.. book not needed.
During the Summer he gives extra credit for the students who attend class. If you go to all of the lectures he will basically wave the term paper at the end of the semester. Get ready for a lot of UHHHHHS and UMMMMMS. Cool guy though.
Great professor teaching a very interesting class if you are going to own your own business or become a lawyer one day. He uses current events to describe the topics he is trying to teach which i found very helpful. I took him for summer A and he gave extra credit for attending live lectures. Textbook is useful when taking the quizzes
He is a wonderful professor, but he does say "uh" and "uhm" almost every other word, so beware. But easy and interesting course!
Fortunately there are no testes in this class though the quizzes are brutal. I thought I could treat this like an on line class and read the book (which is helpful) but lectures are apparently a must if you want an A. In replace of a final he has us write a 2 page paper including all the material we have learned throughout the semester.
Okay, this professor is awesome. He is super easy. He really cares for students. If you do what you are supposed to do, the is no way you can fail.
Class was literally the easiest class I've ever taken. His lectures are fun to watch but not necessary. Just do the weekly essays which are super easy to do and you will get an A in the class.
Easy B and average effort to get an A. Get your book of law, and the reading assigned try to find a pdf version of it. The quizzes (tests) are take home but very detailed, I suggest you do them with time since it can take a couple of hours. Final project and discussions are easy. Work Smart in here and get an A. It worked for me...
This is a great class for business law. Straightforward and practical. He's also an actual attorney in a few states so he brings real world examples and scenarios into play. I actually had a good time watching the lectures for a change. if you need this class take him.
He's a brilliant professor that brings real life experience and current events to the classroom. There are plenty of options for discussion and it was an amazing course to take. He definitely cares about his students and I would very highly recommend him.
This professor is not boring his lectures are very animated. There is no tests but 3 quizzes and a couple of short essays. I'm not the best with essays, but the assignments were easy enough I would write them in one day. He gives enough extra credit I kept an A consistently throughout the whole class.
this is the easiest class I have taken in grad school. He literally rambles all class about Facebook. I have learned absolutely nothing in this class. If you want an easy A, he's for you. If you actually want to learn, do not recommend.
This professor is very passionate about the course that he teaches! He uses one case study for the entire semester to allow students to grasp the sometimes challenging law concepts. He cares tremendously about his students and wants them to learn as much as possible. I would LOVE to take another class with him! I wish more professors cared as much!
Guerra-Pujol has a unique class format. There are no tests, only short weekly quizzes/surveys/essay questions (usually 3-5 sentences). It's very interesting, it allowed me to actually sit back and learn instead of focusing on what could be on a test. You'd have to try not to get an A. Very relaxed class
This class is so cake! This will be the easiest 'A' you'll ever get. Weekly discussion post (you get credit just for writing anything), group project, weekly surveys (opinion based) and quizzes (answers easy). This class is basically Facebook 101. That's all you learn about. DO NOT buy the books. Very interesting class though. Professor is awesome.
No need for book or lecture. The final project is super easy but don't slack off on it since its worth 40% of grade. Check webcourses a lot so you dont miss quizzes/assignments which are super easy less than 15 min to do. I just bought the book for the learnsmart which was more convenient for me and easy to get extra credit on it too for doing more
My easiest UCF college of business class that I have taken. I knocked out all the learn smarts in 1 day which is 33 percent of your grade. 33% is discussion posts which you can see other students submit before you. The last 33 % are online quizzes which if done as a group should be easy 5 out of 5. Finished with a 98. No exams.
AWESOME PROFESSOR. CANT PRAISE HIM ENOUGH. I GET THAT HIS CLASS IS CLEARLY EASY BUT YOU WILL LEARN SO MUCH FOR HIS LECTURES.
All you have to do is write a 50 word "essay" a week. He gives you a 100% no matter what. Then a short 5 question quiz where you can google the answers. And lastly, an iClicker from home that you do not have to watch the lectures to answer. Impossible to not get an A.
Fun guy, offers different ways to earn your grade. He focuses the entire course around the development of Facebook. Class is really relaxed and easy going.
Easiest A in college thus far upwards of 80% of people had to get As or something ridiculous. The class was very easy to the point where almost nothing at all is learned. If I needed to learn this material this is not the teacher if you need an A this is the teacher
This is such an easy class. Do Reef polls for participation points, and use his lecture slides for quizzes - easy A. Weekly essay/discussion post and quiz are super easy. His grading criteria isn't very clear, but it hardly matters with this class.
I loved this class! It's an easy A, but I actually learned a lot and had fun with this class. Right around Halloween, he was using the James Bond story line as a case study, and came to class in his Tux to help illustrate his points. He's fun and easily held my interest as I watched the lectures from home after work. I totally recommend this class!
Loved this professor! Took him in the spring, had no exams. Only quizzes, weekly discussion posts/ essays, and attendance. The best part is he gives you options for attendance. So you can be in a debate, do polls, or Learnsmart activities. That makes it really convenient for students who are traveling to still get their participation grade.
Honestly, he's an awesome professor. Very simple class, just listen to the interesting stuff he has to say. Only have to do discussion posts about every other week or so. You don't have to do much, just enjoy his passion for the material!
The class is not easy at all.
This guy is like, really into the movie The Social Network. The entire class is based around this movie. It's an interesting way to learn about law and does help you stay focused. There are 3 discussion board posts and two open book tests in the semester. I never bought the facebook case study or the textbook and I still got an A in the class.
One of the best professors and easiest classes I have ever taken. Professor Guerra really desires for his students to understand the material in a very relatable way through the case study. The essays were very straight-forward and it was easy to get full points by following the criteria and the exams were open note and open book
Dr Guerra-Pujol is an amazing professor! You can tell he really cares about the students. He's also very smart and passionate about the class. This year the class was restructured, it was so interesting the way he put the class together. The class is fun and interactive. Honestly probably one of the best professors I've had at UCF!
Easiest class I have ever taken. You meet up a total of 5 times, everything but quizzes are group work, and you have attendance questions. I currently have a 110% in the class as I did all of the extra credit he offered as well. Great guy, easy class, and not very time consuming either!
Easiest class Ive taken at UCF, but I could not stand sitting in a lecture with this guy. He made me feel hungover with how loud and obnoxious his speaking style is. All I could think about was leaving, especially considering the material he covered was extremely basic. I highly recommend avoiding him at all costs.
The easiest class in UCF. if you can't get an A in this class, then you can't in any class. super easy class. Quiz 25%, attendnece 25%, discussion 25%, and group project 25%. These class is all about Facebook movie. You going to love this class.
Seriously this class was easy and I enjoyed it. I didn't buy the textbook but I listened carefully to his lectures and did research on topics I didn't understand.
Hands down one of the easiest classes you'll take at UCF. Entire class is based off of "The Social Network".
Great professor who is very passionate about teaching this class. Easy A, just show up and do the work and you will pass. Don't waste your money buying the textbook. He always posts videos that will help you with homework. Only con is he takes FOREVER to grade stuff and changes deadlines a lot and takes of points of discussions for no reason.
GREAT PROFESSOR. This class is a breath of fresh air when you're in so many poorly set up classes. He is passionate about what he does and it makes you interested in what he has to say. They need to bring back reg. lectures because I feel like this prof. has so much more knowledge to share with students. 100% would recommend.
The BEST professor Ive had at UCF so far. He is genuinely passionate about what hes teaching which makes this class easy to follow. Class is based on The Social Network. The grades are broken into 3 categories Essays (5), Exams (5), & Attendance/Participation. It is literally impossible to fail this class. Didnt buy the book and still got a B.
He is passionate and fun. Easy A. However, you will leave knowing a lot about the movie The Social Network and little about the legal environment of business itself lol. Funny thing is, I never watched the movie not even once and still got an A. I would take him again though
Guerra-Pujol is a great professor, he really tries to keep his lectures interesting during class. Overall, this class is an easy A. As long as you keep up with the deadlines and meet the work requirements, you'll be fine. The exam is an open book which is amazing.
Easy A, just watch the movie and get ready to write your 500 word essays. Test are easy and online not at the testing center!!!
Took the course over the summer and it was the easiest course I've taken at UCF. He lectures during the active learning labs which are somewhat interesting. 1/4 your grade is easy participation. 1/4 is discussions that you only have to hit the word count. 1/4 is a final paper that is super easy. 1/4 is quizzes that are actually moderately difficult
Dr. Guerra-Pujol is hilarious! He is also amazing at keeping students interested during lecture by being very animated and passionate about the topic. The grading criteria for the essays isn't clear but if you make an effort, you should get a decent score. There's a lot of reading but he talks about it in lecture and brings it full circle.
Easy A, just make sure you buy the textbook that has answers for test.
Guerra could not have made this an easier class. I didn't even use a textbook, just his lecture and powerpoint. Grading is 1/3 attendance survey, 1/3 quizzes, 1/3 final paper. No tests ever. He is very passionate about law. Class fully based on Facebook movie "The social network".
Easiest professor ever. 1/3 of your grade is quizzes which are easy if you skim through the chapters, 1/3 is attendance which now you only have to go 6 times a semester, and 1/3 is the final which is now a 4-6 page paper with 6-10 slides outlining the paper that you can work on with 1-2 other people. Take this class with a difficult class.
It's an easy A. He's very loud and enthusiastic about the subject and obviously very knowledgeable. The quizzes are a little ridiculous, but the only part of the course where I didn't always get full credit. For everything written, just hit the word count and you're fine. Final project was annoying, but not hard.
This class was great! The teacher knows what he's talking about. If you submit every assignment and attend the class you're bound to pass with an A. It's one of the easier classes that I've taken at UCF. I would recommend to any business major!
First off, dont expect your emails to get a response. He and the TAs dont respond at all. This class is an easy A but don't expect to learn anything.
The easiest class and prof at UCF. 1/3 of the class is participation, 1/3 online quizzes and 1/3 final project. There are no exams and I ended the class with a 105 since there was also ec if you missed a class or a quiz. He talks about the facebook case the entire semester and it was actually interesting .
I absolutely loved having him as a professor! He puts a lot of work in and really cares about his students and you can tell. I took his class online and even though the quizzes were open book, if you didn't watch his videos you are going to struggle. If you watch his videos and take good notes the quizzes are easy. I didn't have to read, just watch
I don't normally review my professors, but this time seems necessary. The semester was online due to covid, so its was a new process. I originally thought that the Legal and Ethical Business course was going to be boring, but the professor did a really good job with keeping the videos interesting. I would defiantly take his class again.
Professor Guerra is one of the coolest professors in UCF's College of Business. He used tiger king to make concepts such as litigation and common law much more interesting. His videos aren't boring, and the content just isn't very challenging to understand. Watch the videos and read the assigned readings and you will undoubtedly get an A.
A phony and fraud -does not put time or effort into grading student work
Great teacher. I hadn't taken any classes in law or business before, so I was a little intimidated going into this, but I loved it. Required text was a Netflix sub. so we could watch Tiger King, which the professor referenced throughout the course as examples for different concepts. There are videos, a discussion, and a quiz each week. Easy grader.
One of the BESTTT professors at UCF. He is so passionate, energetic, excited and knowledgeable about the subject which makes his class a breath of fresh air and really easy to follow along. He does optional zoom lectures that are very interesting. Always clear on deadlines, schedules, and what to expect for the week coming. Such a great, fun class!
Dr. Guerra is the BEST professor I have had at UCF. He is so amazing it really makes this class a joy. You can tell he is passionate about his craft and wants to see you succeed. Take this class along with tough classes to give yourself a break.
Professor Guerra is one of the best teachers at UCF. He is so understanding and great at explaining everything. Honestly a true gem. Highly highly highly recommend taking him!!!!!!
Great professor, interesting course work that was relevant today, quizzes and discussions weren't hard, final paper was fun. Do yourself and take this professor he is incredible.
The professor makes this course interesting. Make sure to watch the movie and pay attention or you will be lost the rest of the semester. pretty easy assignments, just watch lectures to prepare for the tests and you should be good!
Best professor at UCF by far! I loved his class. Everything is pretty straight forward just read the book and take the weekly quizzes. He will give you a movie or documentary to watch at the beginning of the semester WATCH IT he will use it as examples for the whole semester.
Class is cake. Discussion posts and papers were graded very leniently as long as you hit the word count. Quizzes were also easy. This was a stress free A. Content was semi-interesting as well!
This is a great class. Theres very little assingments but they are all a walk in the park if you pay attention to the lecture. Weekly quizzes but no exam, just a simple group report. Loved that he incoorporated pop culture media into the lectures to not only make it fun but way easier to comprehend.
Easily one of my favorite professors at UCF! Very caring and kind towards his students and has an easy-to-follow class with his weekly announcements.
This professor is pretty chill. We had no exams due to covid and only zoom sessions which weren't mandatory. We only had a final project. This class was overall very easy. The only challenging thing was the final project which was a powerpoint with a group and a 5-10 page report.
As someone not interested in legal topics, this professor made this class so engaging and rewarding. He started the class with a straw poll on what movie we'd want the class to teach parallel to and restructured the class. His assignments were easy yet actually taught the topic. He offered the textbook for free hourly checkout from the library.
Guerra seems like one of the nicest professors at UCF. I thought BUL would be a tricky course but he really couldnt have made things any easier with quizzes, surveys and the Final. He is very thorough in his explanations of Business Law & Ethics & constantly had new resources & news to read on his course page. Take Guerra, you wont regret it.
This man really is an absolute gem. Used Tiger King the whole semester to help us better understand the concepts. Class is in person but not required attendance. Super easy discussions and 8 question quizzes. I recommend 10/10. He cares so much about the class and his students it makes me want to kiss him on the forehead every night.
Easy class to take but the professor is not great. You do not have any tests just one project at the end and Homeworks. Breeze through class
Easiest course I've taken. Only graded on discussion posts and quizzes, no exams at all. You can go to lecture for extra credit. He's a great guy but loves to ramble and will probably make you watch Tiger King. Love him tho, take him for this class.
Easy class. Professor does not provide clear instructions and does not respond to emails.
Easiest class you will ever take in your life. Discussion topics were interesting. There were no exams only quizzes and a group project as the final exam. Went to class only for extra credit.
He made this class easy - too easy. It's good in a way for me because I could focus more on my intense accounting classes but, bad for people who genuinely want to learn about the details of business law. Very surface level lectures based on movies like Tiger King & The Social Network. Also very unresponsive to emails and very limited office hours.
effortless class and great professor. it's a pretty mundane course and not super engaging since he doesn't require attendance. ended up getting a B because I forgot to do one of the surveys, so don't miss out on those because they're like free points. the textbook quizzes are iffy, I failed most of them but still ended up with a B in the course lol
He provided half of the syllabus with must thought subjects and then he gave the class the opportunity to choose the other half of the syllabus with our own topics to be discussed. We voted on what topics we wanted to learned more from and he researched, prepared and delivered them to the class. I loved this approach!
This course was very easy. All of the classes were on zoom and they were optional. No major exams just quizzes. Definitely an easy A class. He was very kind and cared about his students.
The class was very easy and the professor seemed to actually care about what he was teaching. His lectures were interesting due to his enthusiasm for the subject.
Professor Guerra is one of the most caring and inspirational instructors I have ever had. He truly cares about his students and wants them to succeed. I absolutely loved his enthusiasm about the subject, his lectures, and his interesting homework assignments. I would highly recommend taking BUL3130 with Professor Guerra.
Professor Guerra is amazing! He is very passionate about Business Law and he is hilarious. Overall, the class is very easy since there are just discussion posts, mini quizzes, and fun in-class surveys. I would highly recommend for you to take him for BUL3130!
he is a gem. weekly survey and discussion post and the final is a group project. dont be afraid of the group project it is like 7 questions, 250 words per question
Professor Guerra is a sweetheart. He finds ways of connecting what we are learning with current cases. He could be more concise with his lectures, but overall really good!
This professor was genuinely one of the nicest professors that I have met. He cares about his students, and he works on making the class better for them. I will say that this class is incredibly easy and there is only one assignment per week. The final is a final project.
he cares about his students and makes things very easy for us. super helpful and sweet guy. assignments are discussion questions, all you have to do is answer. final is a group project and its not very hard!
Attendance was mandatory but he allowed it to be through zoom the whole semester. You have a survey for attendance, micro essays weekly, and choose the final paper over the final exam. The class is super easy, as long as you do the work you'll pass.
Don't stress. Easiest class you'll ever take. Just do the weekly discussions and class surveys and you'll be fine.
The easiest class you'll take in the College of business. One discussion post a week, no exams/quizzes, and a group final project at the end. Mandatory labs that are easy. You can add this course as a backburner if you need an extra class. Don't stress over this course, you'll do great.
Absolutely amazon teacher. Really cares about his students and gives a lot of time to complete assignments. He rambles a bit during the lectures but overall he is great.
This is by far one of the easiest classes you will take. Don't stress over it whatsoever. As long as you do the weekly discussions, class surveys, and have a good group for the final project you will be okay! His lectures can seem a little all over the place but overall he is a great professor!
Easiest class ever, Prof. Guerra really takes the time to break down concepts in his lectures too so you gain understanding. He bases the class off of a film related to business law, it made the class very interesting. The work is beyond easy and he has you do a group project at the end of the semester that is easy to complete. Do not stress!
This class is extremely easy. You don't need to read anything, every week there was only a discussion due, and then a group project at the end.
I took the Honors Spring 2024 Honors section. Such an easy class - ended with 100%. Show up to class for participation points, make sure you put effort into your micro-essays, and put in effort for the final paper since he reads it thoroughly. Super sweet guy, looked forward to going to class each week.
Taken during the summer 2024 semester where Dr. Matthew Kenny was the lecturer. The class is still unchanged, It only required maybe two hours of work per week outside of the five required ALL sessions, which are simply lectures with surveys at the end. Easiest course in COBA by a wide margin and overall useful and applicable to the real world.
This class was super easy just show up to class and do the little mini discussions. Don't think too hard about anything fr and yes he does ramble about the social network movie but I used to finish other homework in that class or watch a movie. He's a great guy and lecturer if you ever do take to him.
Loved taking Professor Guerra. There's not a lot of work for this class, but attend lectures to do the polls because those are for a completion grade. I learned a lot in this class and found it to be pretty interesting. The most important assignment is the paper at the end, but he is not a harsh grader as long as you follow the requirements.
One of the easiest classes you'll take! Prof. Guerra keeps it laid-back with just weekly discussions and a group project. The lectures are a bit all over, but engaging. I found unstuckstudy super helpful for study prep alongside the free textbook.
My advice- save your money and dont purchase the textbook. its the easiest class you will take. Easiest A.
DO NOT BUY THE TEXTBOOK! I promise you 100x over that you will not need it. Please take this class with this professor, it is the easiest! NO quizzes/exams, just weekly discussion posts and a final group paper. He is super nice and his lectures are very laid back and interesting. He is also a great connection if you plan on going into law.
Genuinely the easiest professor I have had here at UCF. Do not buy the textbook, it was a waste of money lol. The class is basically just weekly discussion posts and there is a final essay at the end of the semester that is also extremely easy. Do not stress about this class as you will easily get an A.
Genuinely such a kind and positive professor and one of the easiest classes I've ever taken.
Attend the lectures, do the weekly micro essays (like a paragraph) and the 8 page final research paper and that's it, no exams. The TAs and professor are impossible to get a hold of, no feedback and if it wasn't graded automatically, there was nothing graded and no feedback given on any assignments until the last week of class.
Easiest class at UCF. Everything is a participation grade. I passed with a 100%. My group for the final project finished it in about an hour. Micro essays are insanely easy, and class work is a graded completion survey. Guerra likes to ramble about the topics during class, however you can leave after you complete the survey.
I honestly forgot I took this class. It's honestly a joke of class, which is great if you have other things to care about, sucks if you enjoy business law. You're graded on attendance, discussion posts (no responses required), and a final project that takes an hour to complete. Literally, do not worry about this class.
Honestly I wouldn't take him again. Nothing against him as a person. This class is just somewhat irrelevant, being a required business class, but shouldn't be. It's really easy to pass, just answer the homework and actually try on the last project. It's all about The Social Network. He rants and is kinda boring, but adores this movie
Honestly such an easy class. Most of class is him talking and facilitating group discussion, so there's nothing to due other than random quizzes in class (automatic 100%). There's a final paper (solo paper because I took honors) and it was so easy. Great low effort elective.
Professor Guerra is amazing! His lectures are going over the surveys, which makes the material easy to follow. Attendance is required, but he drops one. There's no final exam, just a group research project, and the weekly discussions are short and quick to complete. Overall it's very easy to get an A.
This guy is amazing. Super easy class if you do the assignments and go to the all sessions.
easiest 100 you'll ever get. don't buy the textbook, useless. go to class for the attendance code and leave. research paper at the end of the semester is light. super easy class where the only assignments you do are weekly discussion posts.
Professor Guerra is kind and passionate about what he does but this class really just ended up being a waste of time, and all business majors need to take it. It requires very little of you to get an A (you'd basically have to purposefully try to not get a 100) so you should have no problem doing so.
With peace and love, I had to look up his name because I forgot it. So easy I honestly forgot I was even taking it. We only had a couple of class meetings, many of which were canceled, one project, and overall the class was based on the movie The Social Network. and a weekly discussion post that took 5 minutes.
