Dr. Hill is an amazing teacher. His lectures are crystal clear and interesting because he knows his stuff. I was taking 2 history classes this semester, and compared to other teachers in the department he is the best. Knowledgeable and engaging, this is the first time in a long while I've enjoyed a history class. Hill is the best professor I have ever had. He makes the class interesting and enjoyable. The only draw back is that he requires a 95% to recieve an A which is a little rediculous for a MANDATORY gened class. Frank is probably the most well-spoken history teacher/professor I've ever had. Lectures are organized, never reads off boring slides. They're also very comprehensible even if you're not a fan of history like me. Exams are extremely easy. They consist of multiple-choice and written response questions. Great class to take for the GER.

He lectures like he's telling a bedtime story, but it's all relevant to exams and assignments. If you read the textbook, then you can better understand the lectures. Seriously one of the best professors I've had. He literally, after our last class today, asked us to fill out required evaluations AND go on here to rank him. I totally recommend him.

Every class Dr. Hill teaches is Story Time with Frank Hill. Take notes, but mostly it's sit back and absorb the knowledge. He's great to listen to, enthusiastic, funny, and encourages participation in the lecture without railroading students to speak. Very conversational and easy to talk to outside of class.

Such an amazing Professor. Took HIST 121 with him and was the most interesting course I have taken at WSU. Lectures were very interesting and actually fun to go to. Easy A . There are three 2 page papers (really easy), a midterm test, and a final 5 page paper. Incredibly easy course! Frank Hill is the man!

2. His class is quite straight forward, you may feel easy to follow the track. There's NO difficult assignment, some of them are even much enjoyable. Each of those is closely relevant to class contents. He encourages to show an effort for those papers, you don't have to be perfect to get a full score if you catch the point of the assignment.

3. you'll be stunned once you get your graded mid-term exam. It's not easy, multiple-choices in particular, he's a genius making questions that he could see how much time you've spent preparing for the exam. The bright side is you'll have a number of opportunities to make up your low score even when the course goes to the end of the semester.

I recommend all the students, especially to international students, it is your chance to correct your wrong knowledge of American History.

Shows way too much movies for our twice-a-week lectures. No problem with that, but it reeks of a professor who is lazy and has nothing to teach. He spends the entire class explaining a simple example. Lectures lacks the rigor you expect out of a college-level course. Dismisses 15 minutes early everyday. Not a good professor if you want to learn.
